if you relax and dont get worked up because what she says doesn't make sense, you will be fine. this class was much easier than my lower div. class. she will tell you when everything is due, and there isn't that much to do in the class.
Worst teacher ever! This is a business comm class and we had to do 20 hours od community service! She does not even know what she id doing and is not organized at all. She often seems confused at her own project.
Basically, she does not know what she is doing. She is confusing. It boils down to if you are good at writing, take her and learn on your own. It's a breeze. If you suck at writing, dont take her. she can't help you much.

What are we doing service learning for? I dont mind doing this, but for a writing class, i dont think its necessary. Het brian is scatterred all over the class, she dosent clarify what she wants us to do in her class. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH HER!!
I did a wellness report on cancer, she said "if people get cancer and die, big deal? Thats their problem" that shows you the content of her character

Run as far as u can when u see this lady. Her class is hard, she doesnt teach, she grades hard, she will fail u. I heard last time out of 35 students all failed but 2 students.RUN AS FAR AS U CAN. LISTEN TO ME. I was one of the students that failed.
Wow, i dont think she even knows what an "A" is...noone in my class got a "A", she killed us on our group project. CLASS IS NOT WORTH THE TIME ANS EFFORT I PUT IN!
I managed to get a B in the class, but it wasn't easy. I can understand why a lot of people do poorly. She's nice, but you pretty much have to be on the ball with your English and grammar skills and show progress with every assignment. Just be prepared =]
I think she was a very nice teacher. I improved my writing skill with each assignment. she's helpful too if you talk to her in the class itself. I got an easy B+ in her class and English is not my first language.
She seems nice for the whole semester but she has a ugly grading by the end of the semester. Lots of works to do. I tried so hard to do the group project but only end up under 80%. !_! She repeats "criteria" "alternatives" all the time

A very difficult and not very helpful instructor. She has a grading system that makes no sense, and doesn't explain the assignments very well. Also if you want an A find a different professor. After getting A's and B's in all of my English & writing classes, I managed to pass her class with a low C

she's an ok teacher. she teaches you a lot about grammar. she is a hard grader, but if you ask her to help you, she will. to get a good grade in her class you just need to understand what she is looking for. sometimes she can be a little vague.
She is very unclear on her expectations for assignments. Harsh grader and classes are very boring. Try getting someone else first. If you have to take her you will survive, just not a very fun class to take i guess.

Dont take her if you want to pass this course. Harder studying is ineffectual. All you can do is to pray GOD bless.
You people are all liars. 1) How do you KNOW what everyone in the class got? 2) I easily got a B in her class just showing her that i was trying. Participate in her class, read her exam instructions carefully and you will be fine. Some people on here are too lazy, hence the bad grade.

Dr. (I can't spell her name) is really a hard teacher. But every teacher in business communication is a very hard teacher. She is always in her office and very helpful. She does a lot of research about business communication and brings it into the class. Call me different but I thought she was a good teacher with a lot of integrity.
She is really dumb and doesn't even know what she wants in the class from the students. last semester i was passing her class and she gave me a 72 on the final when all i needed i was a 73 to pass the class. I just wanted to punch her!!!! Dont take this class or you will be taking the class over!!!!!!!!!

Pretty hard class. She is a hard grader! The whole class averages ~78% in our in class exams so far. Most of the time, we don't really know/understand what the heck she wants!
THIS TEACHER IS A REALLY HARD GRADER. SHE DOES NOT SPECIFY WHAT SHE WANTS. WHEN YOU ASK HER A QUESTIONS SHE JUST BEATS AROUND THE BUSH AND GETS NOWHERE. I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT TAKE HER AGAIN.

Do not take this professor. No one will get an A, only a couple of B's and she is not afraid to fail everyone else. She has unrealistic expectations and will not promote effective bus. writing. I feel I am a worse writer. All writing assignments are in class. If you get her, kiss ass she will know who you are and grade more favorably.

I don't mean to sound harsh but she is the worst teacher I've taken. I asked her what it took to get an A on a paper and she pulled an article from the Wall Street Journal and said, "This is an A!" Very unfair and inconsistent in grading. Seems to be "spaced out" at times. Please try someone else.

Guaranteed ZERO A's. No matter how Hard I worked I only got C's on every paper and barely passed. Less than 1/3 of the class passes. When I say pass, I am talking barely getting by with a C. This is one of those classes where you can work your hardest but no guarantee that you will pass. Takeanother teacher, I think she is the worst teacher at CSUF
This is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life! She tells you what she expects on her papers, and then still marks you down. She grades like a B@#$ch! The majority of the class will not pass her class! And the group project is from H#ll! She grades it so hard and it is worth a good part of your grade! I dont think she has ever given an A!

UR WRITING WILL IMPROVE, but she will still give you a C, she always finds something wrong with your paper. you correct for the next one, and now there will be some thing else wrong with it

This lady is pretty evil! Even though I passed the class, the majority of the class are repeating the class. A few of my classmates that seemed to be head and shoulders above the rest of the class got C's. Its extremely hard to get a B, let alone an A. There's no real way of studying, just be prepared to write memo's. Don't take if you can!

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I really work my rear end off for this calss and I'm a really darn great writer. I thought I was going to learn so much from this calss that would actually help me in the business world, but nope. She was not helpful at all. Take J. Gregory instead. I'm getting an A in his class where I was getting a D in hers.
Not a very good teacher. She voice is extremely soft and quiet. She doesn't offer any real world business examples except for what is in the book. She lets you use an outline for exam memo's though but don't expect anything higher than a B- unless you write for a living. Even then she'll find something wrong...
She's not a very good teacher. Doesn't tell you what she expects from your writing until after the assignment. VERY HARD grader, and doesn't teach you anything you need to know in the real world.
She rambles when explaining assignments and is very unclear on what exactly needs to be accomplished. She doesn't teach the material, yet she expects perfection from the moment you walk into her class. If you have the choice of not taking her; don't. Regardless of how hard you work, you will not get a grade higher than a B-.

DO NOT TAKE HER! No one got an A or B, I worked my tail off and didnt pass, in fact 70-80% of the class didnt pass. I recommend you find another teacher. I have had bad professors, but this lady tops the charts. I am not joking: I would not wish this class on my worst enemy. If you do decide to take her, dont be surprised if you retake the course.
YOu must go tot all classes, if you don't you're screwed. You can NOT turn in anything late or make up any exams. And no extra credit, which sux.
one of the worst professors. doesn't speak clearly, plays favorites, does not help when needed.. anything you can think of, she's probably done in class while i was there. to top it off, she miscalculated my grade by 4 pts. called/emailed every week the whole summer 'til i got a hold of her then she changed my grade.. very incompetent.

I have a 3.7 gpa but couldn't manage to get higher than a C on any assignments. Like everyone has said... unclear and boring. Looks like i'm not the only one whos gpa is hurtin from this class. First failed class of my life.

I had high Bs on all individual and group assignments and 1 C on a group assignment and i got a C+ in the class. First class I ever failed in my life. Retook the class over the summer with another professor and got an A. She will ruin hard working students' GPAs. Really don't understand how a professor can be hated so badly and keep her job.

They missed the cut-off by a few points and have to re-take it to get credit for the course in order to graduate. Grading is very subjective. Few Bs and no As.

Teacher is completely bias with certain students in class, is not clear about what style writing she wants, and expects you to be interested in everything she is doing! HW and attendance are mandator. I barely got a C, many people got C-'s and have to take the class again! If you don't mind an annoying teacher, go ahead and take her.
All BUAD classes are tough and annoying but your supposed to learn how to communicate in the bussiness world. In this case though I strongly don't reccomend taking her. She is very unclear about what she wants. I've been trying my hardest in this class and I barely have a passing C. Avoid this class at all costs.

The material was easy and comprehensible. Grade based on homework, tests, attendance, and big project. However, the class was difficult because she is very disorganized and unclear. Assignment are not clearly explained. Due dates on all assignments are unclear. The class starts off okay but quickly gets disorganized. Horrible teacher avoid her!

I signed up for this class and it said staff. When her name was up I saw the reviews and said how bad could she be? THEY DONT LIE. DO NOT TAKE HER. She is a very unfair grader, unclear as to what she want from you, when she wants it, and also what she wants for the main project changed half-way through the class. Drop the class or lower your GPA!!!

She is a terribly sporadic grader, never staying true to her feedback; no matter how many times you alter your writing to fit her criteria, she will degrade your work. I walked away learning nothing from this class, because she made me, and everyone around me feel as if we had no idea what she wanted. My suggestion is to avoid this "teacher".
