She is a wonderful, approachable, and helping! She gives a lot of opportunity to better your grade with assignments for extra credit:}

I was a little nervous about taking her class at first, but she turned out to be one of the best teachers I ever had in my years at saddleback. She does everything to help out, extra credit-push back due days if you need more time-making study guides. If it is a day with a lot of new information she will let the class out early.

This was a challenging online class but I enjoyed it. I liked that it wasn't the same old discussion/test kind of class. We did totally new things. I think she was fair. Her assignments are interesting but the tests aren't easy. They are okay if you study. She asks you to apply stuff to new situations so it isn't just about definitions

I am surprised at some of the other posts (maybe the same angry person?). I took Psyc 30 online with Prof Damm and really liked it. She was very helpful and funny. I would totally recommend it. I learned so much. It isn't the easiest class but it was really interesting. I had fun with my partners creating a podcast. I've never done that before

I really enjoyed this class. I liked that the professor had different types of assignments that didn't bore me. I told my roommate to take it this semester. It was a good class.

She is SO funny! I am learning so much in her class. I have never had a teacher who loves teaching as much as she does. I definitely recommend taking her class. It isn't easy but if you come to class and THINK you will be fine.

Awesome teacher, really funny, and actually cares about her students. material is not that challenging but if you don't pay attention at key points in class you'll find yourself learning everything on your own the night before the tests! Definitely makes stats an enjoyable experience! Just show up to class, take some key notes and have fun!

I'm not sure what happened with the online classes, but the in-class course is a blast! She has a lot of funny stories and has a sporadic personality. She is entertaining to listen to. Her tests are a little difficult, but her writing assignments are fairly easy. Those boost your grade up a lot. She's fun, take her! Book not needed.

Learned a lot of cool things about research. As long as you get what's going on and you take notes in class, you will Ace the tests and the writing assignments require effort. She offers loads of Extra Credit Opportunities. Easy A if you put in the effort for it and you will learn a lot of cool things!

I really liked this class. I was worried about the group project but it was a lot of fun to do. I learned a ton. I like how she organized the class. Everything was clear. I liked the discussions. She was also funny in her emails. That is different.

Professor Damm was a delightful teacher and a very enthusiastic story-teller. She is clear with what she wants and expects from her students, yet she goes far beyond the call to be a true Samaritan. She is enjoyable as a teacher, definitely take her. It may not be easy, but lots of extra credit opportunities arise. Book not needed.

She inspired me to major in a psych field. Amazing teacher! She will go out of her way to help you succeed and tells many stories which help a lot on tests. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn more about pysch in an easy and fun way. I've had her for both pysch 1 and 2 and she is the best teacher I've had.

I liked the class. As long as you keep up with the discussions and reading you are good. The tests were hard but she gave "adjustment" points and gave everyone points.

super nice! really listened to the students' concerns. I took her class online which was a little more difficult, but she was very understanding and even changed the test grade based on the scores of everyone. I highly recommend her!!! If you study, you will pass with flying colors. Her forums (online course) made you apply what you were learing.

I took Math 10 and it was brutal. This class was so much better! Prof D was awesome and she made stats actually fun. I learned so much and I never felt frustrated like I did with Math 10. Prof Damm is the only way anyone should take stats. Plus, she is goofy which makes the time pass fast

Prof Damm is a very good teacher. For the subject being what it was (Research Methods) she made it as clear as she possibly could. She breaks up the big research paper into smaller sections which helped. Tests are all based on lecture material; no book needed! Show up to class to get attendance points! I would definitely take a class with her again

This was a hard class for sure but she made it much better than I had in high school. She is funny and focuses a lot on students. There are times I got lost but it is stats. I am really glad I took a course with her. I think I actually understand this stuff now.

I also want to say: try not to miss any of her classes, she is very funny and much easier to understand than ANY Stats book, ESP if you are a visual learner. If you have a question or she is going to fast, just ask her (sweetly) to put the brakes on and she will! A fun semester for sure.

Professor Damm is amazing! I've taken stats quiet a few times & never passed, she really helped us out to pass & didn't "catch" us in dumb math mistakes. We used a super helpful computer program & explained how we would gather & use the data in the real world! She also has a crazy sense of humor & just wants everyone to love & enjoy stats!!!

Dr. Damm is a great teacher and by far the nicest professor I've come across. She's willing to go way out of her way to help you not just with her class, but with other subjects like careers and future schools. She's a fair grader and offers a good amount of extra credit. Ps you dont need the textbook.

Dr. Damm is hands down the best professor I had at Saddleback. I am not a "math person" and was dreading the class, but Dr. Damm is charismatic, passionate, and entertaining. Professor Damm changed the way I look at math. She approaches it in a great way and she herself is not very good at basic math so it is comforting knowing that you can do well without having to know difficult math. I would highly recommend taking her class! Come to class for extra points! 4 unit tests and homework which is passno pass. GREAT CLASS

She is hands down my favorite teacher at Saddleback. Her lectures were very interesting and she never had any problems explaining the material if someone didn't understand something. She is very kind, and answers any questions students have, even during the exams. All of the exam questions are based on her lectures, so there are no surprises there.

I don't normally rate professors but I really liked Prof Damm. I visited her in office hours and she was one of the kindest professors I've had. She gave great advice about school and helped me figure out how to do better on the tests. I really liked her and am going to try and take her in person classes next

This course really worked for my schedule. Everything had deadlines that gave me a lot of time to work on stuff. I can only work on school after 9p when my kids are in bed and this worked for me. Plus, she offered lots of extra credit, which helps

She filled in for Dr. Ferguson for the last month of my psych class. Very nice, offers lots of extra credit on campus and then one assignment at home later in the semester. Extremely helpful on/during the test, just ASK! Lectures are interesting, uses slides. Amazing person overall and pretty funny, too!

She's a great teacher, her class is hard but she tried to make it easier with her funny personality. Homework is online and not too hard. I had a hard time with the test, but she allows for a two full page cheat sheet. Pay attention in class and go over all the material she provides.

This class was very clear-cut and not very difficult. As long as you participate in the discussions and do well on the multiple choice tests, you should be able to get a good grade in the class. The couple times I emailed the professor with questions, she replied back promptly.

The class is one giant divided up group research project, some assignments are individual and some are group assignments, and group assignments are worth much less so that you aren't negatively effected by those who don't put in effort. I was scared of this class, but I did great, and she is the funniest prof. I have ever had in my life by far !!!!

I felt that Professor Damm was very clear in instruction for assignments. She was fair and kind in her feedback. I learned how NOT to plagiarize, and how exactly to use citations and quotes in essays correctly--this was a valuable lesson and Prof Damm was fair and gave clear instruction about this. Good professor for an online class. Her class was very organized so it made it easy to follow along. Tests are difficult. She doesn't give study guides so it's hard to know what she's testing on. I never did very well on her exams (B or usually C's) but I did all the work, did well on her one assigned essay, plus the extra credit and got a B.

Prof. Damm was a great professor. This was an online class but if you missed an assignment she reached out to make sure you did it. A few times I missed a deadline and she always understood and made it available to do again. Make sure you read for exams. Group final project and individual paper were simple but needed detailed. This was a very hard class due to the severity and amount of critical thinking. Lecture's were clear and understandable, and informational for the exams. Exams were difficult. The professor was very caring, very willing to help students understand material, and accessible through email for assistance.

I was a little nervous because there was a group project and I didn't want to end up doing all of the work. But she was really involved in getting everyone to work together and our project came out great. I made some good friends. I got an instant email back every time I emailed her. That was refreshing

I can't believe I like stats! She is good at teaching and she made us like stats! She is funny, in a goofball dorky kinda way. She really cares about us and if we are understanding. My friend was so bored in his stats class. I am so glad I took this class. The tests are tough and we have weekly homework though.

Great Professor who really cares about her students. She has great lectures and they help out a lot. Homework is on a pass/no pass bases which is really helpful. I recomend going to each class if not you miss important information that can mess you over on exams. Anytime you need help she will be there for you.

The class itself is very difficult however professor Damm helps you a lot to make you feel as comfortable as possible! She loves answering all questions that are asked and is very fair with grading. She helps as much as she can before the next testing date and allows a whole paper as a sheet cheat. Shes a super easy-to-talk-to professor!

She has one of the best personalities and teaching styles on campus. Though her tests can be more on the difficult side, she gives many resources to do better and is very easy to talk to. Prof. Damm is a wonderful teacher and surely wants you to be successful in the class. This is a great class to take instead of Math 10. If you go to class, participate, take clear notes, and study before the tests, you will be fine. Also, skim through the book and make sure you got what to do on JASP (program you will use) down before tests.

This is an online course that I am taking and we are halfway done now and as an overall experience, the homework is super easy and she gives feedback. There are tests but she will give material to study for them. They are fairly easy. It is a summer course so obviously the homework is heavy. There are lots of power points and reading however.

I took this online course during the summer expecting rigorous work. However, this was a really easy A! There is one discussion post per week, and she doesn't grade harshly. Every other week, we have a test, and she allows us to use online resources to aid in our test-taking. Lastly, we have a 3 page essay. I didn't learn much, but it was easy.

I took this online course during the summer and from what I read here it would be hard. The course load is here is heavy as it was intensive. There are weekly postings and by weekly tests. This is standard for the online courses. Prof Damm was clear, helpful and extremely fair. I learn a lot and would definitely recommend this course and teacher!

Seems like she is genuinely invested in her work and cares about her students success. She was very understanding, made the textbook free and accessible online, and left me feeling like she was more interested in her students actually learning and applying concepts, rather than memorizing facts and answers.

I thought the professor was very easy going, if something on the test didn't make sense or didn't seem fair she would always correct it unlike others that just say "oh well!". If you do the work she will give you credit, if you don't participate and leave others to do tasks alone you will lose all those points which is FAIR!! Highly recommend.

By far the BEST professor at Saddleback College! I took math 10 online and failed, so I decided to take her stats. She explains every theory in a simple manner and truly wants her students to pass. I would 1000000% take her again. I wish I had this professor earlier in my academic career.

No participation grade. Attendance counts for 1pt per day. Total 500 point class. Not a super tough grader. Gives good lectures. No pop quizzes. Super funny.

I took her Psych summer class and she was very clear with her instructions. I pulled a B despite giving not much of an effort. She replies clearly to emails and is considerate.

Great teacher, will answer any and all questions. She made me laugh so much I would forget that we were learning, her analogies help you remember. The tests are hard because it's a stats class, it gets confusing so I recommend office hours or a tutor. Very glad I took this class, it will help Pysc majors and is a lot easier than Math 10.

One of the best, fun professors in Saddleback College by far. I wasn't really good at math or things involving equations/numbers, but the way she teaches can give you a fresh take of stats. Her tests were probably the hardest part of the class because she expects you to know certain definitions and terminology along with some open ended questions.

Stats may seem scary Professor Damm makes it enjoyable and easy to understand. I would take her 100 times over again. Go to her office hours for any clarification, she loves to help. Im not really good at math but the way Professor Damm teaches is amazing! Make sure you sit closer to the front of the class; asking questions from the start is very important! Other than that you can tell shes very passionate about her job and it make coming to class a lot more enjoyable.

Prof Damm provides office hours regularly and is always more than happy to talk stats. Her passion for stats overflows into her class and allows her students to have a better understanding for a subject that can be challenging. I took her stats class and she made it enjoyable and not as hard as I thought it would be. She is very good at explaining things and encourages questions. I missed class once for being sick and visited her in her office hours where she helped me learn the material I missed. Honestly a great teacher and hope to have her as a professor again.

Take her, she wants all her students to succeed in the class! 10-11 question hw assignments per week (easy) & 4 exams including the final. Test weren't that hard, study your lectures notes & ask questions in class! She will give you extra points for that. Few EC opportunities as well. She also allows a front and back paper cheat sheet for the test.

This was a good class. We did mainly discussion boards. We pretended to be old people and blog about our situations. It was fun to learn it that way. Prof D was nice and always wrote comments on my work.

Dr. Damm made stats online okay. Every week had an hour of videos. I watched them at 2x speed though. She made the material clear. She was constantly emailing us and asking what we needed help with. She really cares how we do. It was a lot of work but if you keep up, it goes okay.

I love Prof Damm so much! She let me take my test late. I was too afraid to ask because I didn't have a good reason I missed it. I just forgot. She was super nice and I wish my other teachers were like that. I didn't have to work too hard and I'm passing.

Everything was super easy, the hard part were the exams. You are timed, she does not give a study guide, and honestly reading the textbook and preparing yourself for it is impossible. She's good for psyc 1 but not psyc 16, I do not reccomend at all just because of how hard the exams were and she offered no help except to "read the textbook".

We had to switch to online because of COVID. She put all her lectures online. Was just like how it was in class so it didn't change that much. She really cares about her students and wants us to do well. She kept sending emails and videos of her and her pug to cheer us up. She is a nice lady. I plan to take another class with her

I loved her online class! I found this class to be fun and engaging due to her course set up! A sample syllabus is available if you ask her for it! be ready to read and follow the discussion board instructions and you will be fine! For the exams, there is no study guide, but its all pulled from the textbook - It is all multiple choice!

She is the most genuine teacher and wants students to succeed while still making them work for it. She made me love stats! Drops 3 HW and 1 DP. Claim critique is super fun. Exams are open notes. Extra credit is available. The lectures are amazing and help you understand the material. I have never met a teacher so compassionate. Take this class!!!!

I highly recommend taking this class. I was in her first online class. Her lectures (on youtube) and assignments are easy to access and submit. Her class is not easy but she is fair. You need to watch the online lectures in order to stay afloat in the class. They are very helpful. Make sure you study for the tests and do not slack off. Best Prof!

I liked this class. It was heavy on the book and her module writings. There are a couple writing assignments but they were easy. We wrote about 90-day Fiance. Everything was straight forward and interesting. She graded everything fast and made comments. As far as an online class goes, it was good. Wish it were offered in person.

I took PSYC44 as my intro to stats class bc I need one for my major. I honestly would've been better off taking a regular stats class, because her tests are way too hard. She tries to keep the class average at a 75%, and purposefully makes her material more difficult than it needs to be. She is a very nice lady, but u really need to work for an A.

She is the best math instructor Ive ever had. Genuinely cares about her students and what she teaches. Went out of her way when classes went online, posting positive videos and work through videos on the material. If you do the work, you should have nothing less than an A.

Great class. I take all online classes and this was the most organized class. Things were graded within a day with feedback. Once I asked about a question on the exam that wasn't in our material and she apologized and gave credit. I usually get "too bad, so sad".

Good Prof . She would email me when it was close to a deadline and I hadn't done the discussion or exam. She has 7p deadlines instead of midnight, which I don't like. Work isn't too hard and it was interesting.

All I have to say is she loves what she does. She has a goofy humor but she really likes teaching. All of her lectures are on youtube (DAMMCOURSE). When you visit office hours or send emails, she is nice and funny (like 2nd grader humor). It was nice to have a class where the teacher really liked being there. I'm going to take her again.

I took Dr. Damm a while ago but I had to come back and write that I am still using what I learned in her class at UC Irvine. I felt like every lecture was jammed packed with information and I took more away than I thought was possible. I got so much out of her class. So glad I took my advisers advice.

I took her class before COVID so we had to change to online. I missed her lectures. I would just come to be entertained. Class was a lot of fun and the time flew by. I see stats in everything now. I watch TV and all I see are stats. This was a good class. I'll miss it.

I took Professor Damm's PSYC 1 course over the summer, and online. It was fast paced, but she takes the time to clearly explain each assignment and chapter. She always gives thoughtful feedback. Tests can be tricky but she provides all the materials necessary to pass. Multiple chances for extra credit as well.

Damms grading criteria was clear from the start. I looked into each professors contact blurb on Saddleback and Mrs. Damm seemed to use a variety of teaching techniques which interested me. There was a lot more reading than I thought thered be though. I was hoping for more varieties of learning, maybe Zoom discussions or more videos to watch.

I just finished taking psyc1 during summer as an online class and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too hard as long as you read the notes and include topics from it in the discussions. Exams aren't hard as long as you pay attention to the notes and videos from each unit.

Professor Damm goes beyond just any regular professor, she cares deeply about each of her students. I took her class the 1st time and got a D because I put 0 effort, but the 2nd time around I worked really hard and she helped me get an A. If you put in effort, she'll notice that and she will help you, she really cares and she rocks, love her!! :)

I love Professor Damm. She is working so hard to make sure we learn during COVID. Her voice is soothing in her videos. I thought I'd hate stats but I look forward to sitting down every Monday to watch her videos. I am not done yet so I could totally mess up and not get an A but so far, I'm getting it. This was the best online class Ive had. The class was organized nicely and her videos teach statistics so it is easy to understand. Her homework and tests were hard though. Beware, don't be fooled that those will be easy. But if you take notes during her videos, you will be good.

Her class is video heavy. Her lectures are on videos. She even makes videos to explain homework answers. She really wants to make sure we are learning it. She is the only Professor that I went to office hours for. She is very kind. I will take another class with her.

Professor Damn is so amazing. Ive taken her for two classes now and though both where night and day she definitely is an amazing professor. Her YouTube lectures are amazing and in depth. She is very fast to respond to emails and on top of her grading. Overall if I could take all my psych classes with prof damn I would! 100% recommend.

She curved the class significantly due to covid along with offering lots of extra credit. Exams were open notes and easy as long as you studied. Easy A as long as you watch the lecture videos, study, and ask questions if needed.

I really appreciate Dr. Damm. I failed math10 and really need stats to transfer. I couldnt have passed without her help. I passed. She is patient and I had to watch her videos like 8 times. Take her if you arent a math person. She breaks it down for you

She is the best professor I have had at Saddleback by far. The class consists of discussions and tests and a lot of extra credit. You wont regret taking this class.

This was one of my best classes at saddleback. Really organized. She was really worried about us for covid. She extended deadlines and kept sending emails for where to get food and stuff. She seems like she likes what she does and isnt a grumpy teacher who is always looking to catch your mistakes.

Prof. Damm was amazing. I really struggle with math and she was always there to give feedback. The lectures were very insightful and I felt as if you learn a lot. You put in the time, you get the grade you want. There was extra credit as well and the class was challenging but not impossible. Would definitely take again and loved her as a professor!

Professor Damm was great, especially during this weird time--very understanding and deadlines felt easy to meet. Tests were open book but we weren't allowed to backtrack to previous questions. But, we were given plenty of time for these exams. Even though tests are open book, make sure to read the textbook--it's a lifesaver. There is EC if needed.

Legitimately a good professor. As a student athlete I missed a whole exam which is inexcusable and was able to take again given the circumstances. Everything on the exams are in your textbook or in the videos.

4 tests every other week during the 8-week course that make up basically all of your grade, with discussion posts and replies each week that make up a very small portion of points. Homework is decently light and just requires good time management. Tests are the most important part but they're open note/book so not too difficult.

With EC, I got a 101. Sometimes the test wording was confusing, but she gives enough time for exams, and they are lecture based. She's super kind and helps you understand concepts. Sadly nothing related to behavior sciences, but definitely recommend if you need a Stats class. I loved her willingness to meet with you! Def recommend her! Very caring.

Very down to Earth and understanding professor. Dr. Damm has fun lectures, simple HW, and somehow makes stats easy! Highly recommend!

Professor Damm is the best math teacher I've had. Prior to this class, I'd never gotten an A in any math class ever. She really cares about students and will listen to any problems you have. Take her class to satisfy their math requirement. It's just a stats class not really psychology. Attend every lecture, the tests can be hard but just study.

She was nice and the assignments were pretty easy (mostly discussion posts often). Tests were long but also easy and overall I really liked her as a teacher!
