Kathy was the best professor I had at LCCC. She was patient, understanding and cared very much about her students. She truly wants her students to excell and it shows. She takes the time to teach and explain, and never shows impatience. She was the best!!

I can't wait to get back to class for A&P II. Kathy made going back to school at 44 refreshing. She is very interested in making sure the class understands the material in a practical way. I only had Dr Durham for 1/2 a semester, but how great it was. I learned more in that 8 weeks than I thought possible. I wish I had had her from the beginning. I had my doubts about being able to pass because we missed so much at the beginning with Mr Shields...but wow! The way she teaches makes it stick in your head. I will see her in AP II!

Dr.Church, WoW, being a taxpayer who passed Lccc levies. My tax dollars will be well spent on giving Dr. Durham a big salary, say about 100,000 a year. This is the best college professor you can get. This lady called me up the day after the test and told me I forgot to do 4 pages and she let me come in and finish it for full credit! She is so funny and I enjoy every moment in her class!

I had Kathy for A&P II and she is absolutely amazing. She is very willing to answer questions just don't be afraid to ask. If you are a "read a book and learn" kind of person then the text is necessary but I never opened the book once the entire semester. I would recommend Kathy over and over. professor Durham's tests are based straight from your notes that you take in class and she's very clear as to what she wants you to take notes about. She also podcasts her lectures that was very very helpful, She always takes time to thouroughly explain what she is teaching. And she'll ask the class as a whole if there are any questions

I took kathy for anatomy&physiology I&II. The people on here are not lying when they say she is the best. She takes very difficult material & teaches it in a way that u actually want to attend class & want to study. She made me sure that I wanted to do a health career. U have to devote major time to studying but it is definitely worth it! Take her!

amazing professor, she will push you hard to cover a lot of material but she manages to get it to you very effectively. very easy to take notes from lecture and study from them for her tests. she is also a blast in the classroom, everyone in there always has fun, dont sit in the front unless you can take some mild teasing!

The class was rather easy if you're willing to put your time in and study. There is a lot of material that she covers, but her lectures are effective and engaging. Another big bonus is that the tests come directly from lecture, so if you take proper notes, attend every class, and study enough, you should be able to pass with an A or B.

A&P is a difficult subject but Dr Durham makes it fun and easy. She goes out of her way to help her students, knowing that it is a tough subject. Tests are right off the notes from class and everything is on podcast. (Huge!!) Do yourself a favor, do not even think of taking the class with anyone else!

Had her for both A&P classes good at explaining things and makes things crystal clear. Keeps it interesting.BUT A&P II my grandmother passed away and she refused to work with me. She was very unsympathetic towards to situation. She sometimes plays favorites. I ended up withdrawing. Wouldn't take her again. don't like playing favorites

Professor Durham is a great teacher! Her tests are hard though, you'll work your tail off in her class - but you'll learn a ton. A&P II is even more information than A&P I was, be prepared to spend time learning the material. Know your notes and you'll do well. Not as much opportunity for easy bonus points in II than in I.

I can't say enough good things about Kathy, I took 121 with Thompson & failed & Kathy's class was so much easier because she explains things at YOUR level of understanding! I am taking anpII with her this fall, and i'm sure i'll be just fine! :)

Kathy is by far the best professor I have ever had. The lowest class grade I received from her was a B out of the 3 classes she has taught of mine. Biog 121 and 122 are NOT easy at all but she teaches it in a way that you have to force yourself to learn it. She's wonderful and I highly recommend her :) She loves science and loves her students!

Honestly probably the best professor I have ever had. Extremely knowledgeable on material, makes the class fun and interesting. Very straight forward with what she expects of you. Records lectures & puts podcasts online which is extremely helpful for clarification of material. Don't buy the book I haven't used mine once & I have an A in the class.

i notice that some people comment that the class is hard. well ap is hard but she makes it easy.all you have to do is take good notes and study them and you are gauranteed an A. I took her AP 121 to. She is a great prof.

By far the BEST professor i've ever had. Her blended classes are a lot less stressful than some other professors lecture. She cares if her students understand, she explains thoroughly and in ways that make actually make sense rather than citing a textbook like other professors have done.

She is WONDERFUL! The best teachers at LCCC! She starts the mold for all respiratory/ medical professionals that come out of LCCC. She gets the point across with helpful little stories in lecture. Her tests can be rough in the way she can word them, but she knows whats best! PLUS she records her lectures so you can listen to it again! LOVE HER!

The most PHENOMENAL Professor at LCCC that I have had yet. She wears something around her neck like a recorder, and later you can download her lecture which really helped me learn, which is great if you miss a class,I traveled 1hour to and from work I would just turn on my IPOD and listen to the lectures over and over. Dr. Kathy has a true passion for teaching the material. I was in the blended class which means I watched her lectures online and met with her once a week for a 'meet and greet' and to take exams. Her videos were clear and concise. If she didn't say it, it WASN'T on the exam. Required A LOT of study time! I used the book for reference only.

I took the blended course. Her lectures were online but the class met once a week for Q&A and to take exams. An 'A' is very possible but it takes HARD work. Her stories keep students interested and engaged. She offers extra credit which does help in the end. NEVER used the book; if it doesn't come out of her mouth, it won't be on the exam.

She is a great teacher that uses personal experiences and humor to help you understand and remember the material. THe text book is not used at all, but is needed later on in your college experiencei if going into a medical major.

I love her! She is the best professor for anatomy at lccc. Her tests are based ONLY off her lecture notes. You write your own notes in class so you actually have to pay attention. You have to dedicate a lot of time to studying, but if you do you'll get all a's on her test. i have never gotten anything lower than a 91 on her tests.Highly reccomended

Kathy is one of the best professors you could ask for. She is VERY helpful and only will quiz you on what she says. She will NOT try to trick you and always lets you know what you need to know to be prepared for the class. I took BIOG 121 in the Spring with her and got a B. And in the summer I got a B as well.

Kathy is the best! So helpful! The tests are based completely off her lectures, which she podcasts, so you don't need the textbook. This is not an easy class, but she does everything in her power to get you to understand the material. Her classes fill up fast since she is amazing so you must be quick with registering!

If you like to write essays for your tests, then this is the teacher for you! Uses very little multiple choice questions. Wants a detailed explanation on things. She is very smart and thorough but her tests are ridiculous!!

STUNNING teacher. Cares, is extremely clear in lecture, will always answer your questions until you understand, and makes sure to cover everything needed. There can be a lot of notes but they're all quality info presented well. Long tests, but she's a fair grader and will look over answer disputes. Essays just make you think! But again, very fair.

Very easy to understand, very helpful, and highly educated. She does podcasts so you can review all material for your tests. The only reason I received a C in this class was because my dad passed in the middle of the semester and my lab grade killed me switching mid-term. Wonderful A+ human being!!

A&P 1 and 2 are such difficult subjects for both layman and experts, but Dr. Durham breaks it down to a level I can understand, relate to and even process -- which helps my "reverberating circuits" to better remember and retain.

A&P is a hard class with very detailed material. However, Kathy will do just about anything to help you.

I love her as a teacher, she gives you extra credit for just showing up to class. She is so funny and tells stories about her work experience and hubby! The main thing is that you have to show up to class, she'll give you extra information for the test, and she tells you what is on the exam! (So you don't have to study all of the notes)

I took the blended class. The online lectures were amazing. She is always available and responds quickly to email. She provides online games that really helped with the tests and quizzes. She really helped me understand the material. However, you have to work for it. The 8 week summer class was tough, but doable.

In this course (Anatomy & Physiology I), she doesn't use the textbook; she just lectures and the exam questions derive from the lectures! By far the best professor I have ever had. It is very easy to pass her class if you take good notes and study outside of the classroom. She doesn't try to trick you when it comes to questions on the test. One tip I would have would be to rewrite your notes when you get home and make them neater. You will thank yourself when it's time for the final.

Extra credit just for showing up on post exam days. Exams difficult. Survived by playing her review games, attending review sessions with her assistant & extra cred. Caring & hilarious.

She is one of the best professors that I have had and I highly recommend taking her class. Her tests are not easy but they are not tricky and have no curve balls but if you put in the work and pay attention you will do great.

If you show up to the actual class period once a week and have your notes completed, you get 4 extra credit points which is awesome! If you show up she will also explain exactly what is on her test and what you'll need to study. Overall, great teacher.

Best professor at LCCC! Very kind women and explains the material great! I took it blended so I had lecture videos which were great. I was able to re watch them and pause them. Met once a week for 50 minutes where she gave extra credit and answers any questions. Would take again!

She is incredibly thorough, uses hilarious real life stories to help you remember certain terms, and ultimately cares about each student and their performance in her class. And her lectures are all recorded so if you miss you can still watch the lecture.

I'm a criminal justice major who some how found myself in the scary health science building. Her lectures were easy to follow, available online for review and most of all they kept your attention. For health science majors I expect it would be even more interesting as she explains application of material in a healthcare setting.

LOVE HER! She's funny and super nice! The only downsight I had taking her class is Im not a good note taker and she doesn't give you anything there. Thompson writes them out for you and I missed that. She is clinical ? heavy and a tough but fair grader. Durham will do anything she can to help you if you ask. She's great.

The blended version allowed flexibility and the ability to take good, detailed notes. It takes discipline throughout the semester which some students may lack. Take awesome notes and study often!

I absolutely loved her A&P 1 class. It is clear she cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Having access to the lectures online is so helpful, and I really appreciate her exam replacement as it got me an A! This class is still hard though, make sure to take good notes and study a lot. Exams are hard, but she still gives extra credit!

In my opinion I find it hard to fail her class! If you have a blended course you show up once a week and get extra credit for taking notes. These extra credit points can be crucial for a final grade. Her lectures are all online which is very helpful. You can rewatch or pause at any time! All her tests are based only on what information is given!

Kathy is hands down the best professor i have ever had! She makes learning easy and fun! She breaks things down so they are easier to understand! When it comes to exams listen to whatever she says & case studies are very very important! i wish i could have her for all my classes!

Dr. Durham is clear in what she wants you to know for each exam. She is very specific in that you use her terminology even if it's not something you would find in a book. However she is good at explaining the material. I got an "A" in the class, but felt that she can be a tough grader on the essay type questions.

She really cares about her students. She tells a lot of funny stories. I have taken the online version of A and P 1, have never used the textbook. You must watch her lectures and take good notes to pass the course and going to zoom meetings are helpful. Going into this class it was hard but the teacher made it an amazing experience

Kathy is amazing. She tells funny stories that also help make the content even more interesting. You need to study for tests, but if you take good notes and do the case studies, you will have exactly what you need to study. She provides you with what you need, so take advantage of that to do well.

Dr. Durham is an A&P GOD! She is the best professor I've had so far. Her lectures are entertaining, organized and informational. Definitely have to attend/ watch ALL the lectures! She presents the information in many different ways in worksheets, games, and case studies. A&P is not an easy class by any means but Dr. Durham makes it doable!

She is the most amazing teacher in the world!

The A&P 1 class was a web meeting/online class. Kathy had all of the lectures she has done in the past on videos which was great! So we didn't need a book. I'm sad that she is retiring after this semester because I would have taken A&P 2 with her!!! :)
