Oborn rocks. She tells the class interesting stories of her days as a cop. Lectures are short and fairly interesting, shows around 3-4 videos. All around she has been one of the easiest teachers I've had in a long time. Tests are really easy..3 TAKE HOME TESTS!! Easy as hell. Take her.

One of the greatest professors in this college! Makes the class extremely interesting, tells a lot of stories from her experience as a cop. Helpful to students. Gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and "quizes" are not hard at all. Highly recommended!

Oh no doubt, this teacher is the one to teach Criminal Justice! She explains the concepts and shares her experience, when she was in law enforcement. She is also nice and helpful if you get lost in the classroom. Mrs.Oborn is probably the best teacher in the Soc Sci Dept! In case you rookies don't know. Criminal Justice falls into Soc Sci field.

Great teacher!! Explains everything clearly. She involves all students in the class! It's the best discussion class I've ever had. You can express any opinion. She makes the class interesting. She doesn't give a lot of busy work. Great class atmosphere. I highly recommend this class to everyone.

The best, coolest teacher at Pierce College. Never have to show up to class just on test dates. Many movies to watch and open book, friends test. Gives study guide for the final. i took her online course it was very simple, all you really need is the book and your saved. Dont sweat it, she is easy. A good A i learned a lot.

One word to describe her! SWEETHEART!!!!! she is extremely nice and is kind of like on eof the students! She tries to make class fun and succeeds! Honestly hte class is an easy A, but you'll learn some fundamentals that will keep you out of trouble! Make sure to ask her about the "Golden Shower" story, pretty funny!

definitely don't need to attend class. she gives little worksheets and study guides but you can pass the class if you've watched law and order. you sometimes need the text. she let us out after 30-45 min in an hour and half class. sweet lady. dont get caught cheating, she watches

I took her Administrative Justice 1 class online. It was easy. I learn a lot of criminal justice, especially the past, present and future. Be sure to take this class. It is grrrrrrreat!!!

This professor is absolutely phenomenal. I learned more in her class than any other course I have ever taken. The lectures and the documentaries she shows in class are amazing. Tests are open book except for the final which is not that hard if you did the study guide. Kind of an Easy A. Take Her! She is one of the best I ever had!

Shes a really nice teacher..i took her for a 8am morning class..hate 8am but it was not so bad once you were in class..not boring! she cancels most of the classes and gives TAKE HOME TEST! which is GREAT! TAKE HER for aj..book is good to have to get answers from..cheap online n get the older version works the same!

I took this instructor for SOC 4 and she was great. Take home/open book exams and just one final paper. Good To Take if You Are Taking A Lot Of Classes!

she doesnt really lecture but yet you still manage to learn a lot. make sure u have the book cuz u need it to do the work and study!she was extremely nice. first test is open book second is a take home test, third test and final..your r on your own. make sure u study for the 3rd test a lot of people bombed it. overall good teacher got an A

She is so pure in her teachings and loves teaching the subject of Sociological Analysis (a.k.a the hardest SOC class at Pierce College). If you have taken this course with another Professor and are retaking the course over again you would know that she makes the class very easy. Other Professors incorporate HARD statistical concepts in the teaching

The textbook is MANDATORY but she is so nice that you can get by with going to the library and using the copy there. She is extremely helpful and the class is really an easy A. One of Pierce's finest Professor of all time. Love her and she has passion!

Oborn is the ish! She is super cool and flexible. You can go by without coming to class and still get an Easy A. Has great stories to tell and tells you how to get out of a ticket! (her golden trick). I love you Oborn!

The comment before mine is way too harsh. Oborn is a good Professor who does not like to put strain or stress on their students! She gives exams, homework, projects, and lectures just like in real college. Trust me, she is a very good Professor! You will not regret taking her. She does NOT like tardiness or late work, however.

Prof Oborn is a great professor. She really cares about students and is very fair. Lectures are interesting and so are her police stories. I learned a lot in her class and because of her I am now a criminal justice major.

Her class is so easy to pass all her test are easy. she does not take roll so attendance is not mandatory. she gives a lot of extra credit.

Easy class, but you won't learn much. Spends too much time talking about her life. Lectures aren't helpful, so read the book if you want to pass the quizzes and final. Attendance isn't mandatory but it is recommended. Don't miss any assignments, they're worth a lot of points! Take her class if you want an easy A, not if you want to learn.

Great professor! Took this online, kind of tough on an 8 week span, but learned a lot. Straightforward class, a lot of reading, but assignments aren't hard, plus weekly quizzes. She's very helpful and enthusiastic, take her!

She is the sweetest person ever! Class is really easy. She doesn't really lecture mostly tells stories in class but you should go everyday so you don't miss hw assignments, in-class assignments, and e/c opportunities. Tests are hard but the first test is a group one. Easy A as long as you go everyday!

Read the book. It'll save your butt on the tests. Her lectures aren't very helpful. You do have quizzes so depending on the chapter she's currently lecturing, just study that chapter for the quiz. She gives extra credit which is easy to get for the most part. She's really laid back and willing to help but she's a fair grader. Definitely recommend!

Professor Oborn is a really nice women who is very understanding and compassionate, and even cracks some jokes. The class is pretty easy, most of the time you're watching documentaries and then writing journals on them. She tries to lecture on current things occurring in society, and usually plays these games that has to do with stereotypes.

For one, I took this class online and Moodle and the e-mail system was down most of the time. From the time I had her, she seems like a great teacher and is truly passionate. The quizzes are a little tough so make sure you do all of your reading.

Professor Oborn is the sweetest lady ever. She has so many stories which apply to the subject you study in class. Her class is entertaining, funny, and easy. Make sure to go to class because she gives out assignments when too many people are missing. Overall, take a glimpse at the book and know the definitions, and it's almost a guaranteed A.

I took this class online, and we used CJ lab instead of Moodle. The class is really interesting. It was abit tough because it was during winter but you just have to manage your time. She emails the class often with updates on assignments or if there are any issues with the website, and if you're close to an A, she'll let you know :)

Professor Oborn made me feel like I actually mattered. She goes out of her way to make sure everyone is comfortable and has everyone's interests before hers. The is very knowledge full and her classes are very interesting.

If you do your part certainly you will get a good grade. She will measure many aspects from who you are and how you are interested to learn. She is very helpful.

Be thorough with your work and you can get an A. Her final is short but somewhat difficult because she doesn't spend much time lecturing. Oborn is a cool and understanding professor, you get to watch a lot of documentaries in class.

She is a wonderful professor. She was the first class I had in the day and her class was always great, Always told great stories and allowed us to have a good semester. Only complaint.. And it's very small but the documentaries show a subtle bias against police and paint many criminals as good people without really both sides of the story.

I took this class online through CJ lab but as long as you read and pay attention, you will do fine. It was a quick 5 week class in winter and well there was a lot of data, it was interesting and engaging.

this class is literally only your opinions. she allows you to intake and learn what you want to without forcing you to learn if you dont want to. take her bc regardless her kindness will make you want to learn! dont buy the book, one group project, final is a typed essay that you bring to class.

Minimal hw, no exams or quizzes (except final). Guaranteed A if you do your scavenger hunts and reaction papers, both of which are easy. Shes a real gem!

I bought the book but you don't even need it. Show up pay attention. Not much assignments assigned but she does take attendance. Shes a great teacher that loves what she teaches. Take her you wont regret it.

No tests/quizzes except final! You have to do your scavenger hunts though (four total). I think you should show up to class every day even though you can prob get an A if you don't as much, because you do do small assignments on films you watch sometimes or a few in class assignments for credit. Also, she's a great lecturer so why miss class!

I was nervous to take this class online due to the subject matter, however, it was extremely easy! Every week you read a chapter and at the end of the chapter you take a quiz and write a forum post on what you read. The final was basically a one page paper about what you learned in class. As long as you do the reading and take notes, you're good!

Easily the best professor I have ever taken in my life. I took Administrative Justice 2, 5, 67 and about to take 160 (online) with her. She makes the classes so interesting and is extremely interactive. She always tells stories about her time as a police officer as well. You can't not take her class.

This was by far the easiest online class I have taken. Professor Oborn is the nicest person ever. She genuinely cares about the students, even when she hasn't even met us. The whole class is on pearson, you do have to pay for it. Small readings and a 2/3 questions quizzes and short writings with a 20 question quiz in the end for every chapter.99.5%

Professor Obron is super relaxed and laid back. I took this in fall 19. She is super easy and offers a lot of in class extra credit. Watch lots of videos where you answer like 5 easy questions on them that count as participating. Four scavenger hunts that are 37 questions long and easy, 1 test, 1 final essay. TAKE THE CLASS FOR EASY A.

Just show up and you will pass. Her teaching style is very different. She wants to apply real life scenarios to the subject. Show up pay attention do the few work she assigns and you will pass with an A.

Professor Oborn is one of the best professors I have ever had. She is super nice and gives really interesting homework. She is also an easy grader. I really enjoy her class because of all the people she has that come in to talk about their careers. She really made me think about my future career choices.

She is literally so sweet. She would send me random inspirational emails like every other week. Lenient grader, but did me dirty on the final and dropped me two grades like 15 minutes before the assignment closed ( let me resubmit through email though and rounded my grade significantly).

Prof Oborn was very nice. You have to buy the online Pearson book and be heavily involved in the class for weekly assignments. I took the 5 week course so everything was very fast. We did about 3-4 chapter for the week so you have to be involved. if you do the work you'll pass.

Note that I only took her online only but I do know that some of her classes are hybrid. She is very good but make sure you have time to read and homework is light. Usually have a week to due.

Weekly reading and quiz through an online textbook. Reading is long and dry but quizzes are easy. Weekly discussions through Canvas consisting of a paragraph and at least 1 reply to a classmate. Scattered HW assignments that were fairly easy if you reference textbook material. Great class to take if your other classes are assignment heavy.

Homework is all online and the final is a simple group project. Attendance isn't mandatory.

Professor Osborn is an excellent professor who cares for and encourages her students. The course does require reading, we also watch documentaries in which I learned so much from both. Her work load is reasonable, straight from the book, no trick questions, she communicates well and has her students best interests in mind. Free book as well.

Professor Osborn is a great professor and I enjoyed her course. Her class consisted of weekly modules of discussions, responses to documentaries, scavenger hunts, and/or a short quiz. The workload is reasonable and you learn so much information. She communicates well and cares for her students. Would take again!

Prof Oborn's class is very well laid out. Don't miss the deadlines and have good time management skills and you're good to go! However, her textbook is 90 bucks, which is really expensive. The book she uses is helpful, however took a lot of memory from my laptop. Buttttt, it's a good class!

Professor Oborn runs a well-structured online course. The workload is reasonable, with discussions, quizzes, and scavenger hunts. I found Unstuck ai and the provided textbook very helpful for preparing. Would take the class again.

I loved Professor Oborn's class I learned so much from her. The work is straightforward and engaging. I took the shortened 8-week class, so weekly it consisted of 2 Pearson chapters a week, 1 or 2 class discussions and 1 or 2 video responses. She doesn't offer extra credit but the work is simple so as long as the work gets done, you should pass.

Take her if u want to pass!!! Online course i took does require the textbook but heres the thing the quizzes she gives YOUR ANSWERS ARE IN THE BOOK! 1 assignment 1 quiz per week Essay specially for u nerds and school boys out there...getter done!
