Dr. Seelinger does teach you a lot of important information in her class, but I think her study guides are entirely too long for a 70-80 question test! The study guide for my non-comprehensive final was over 200 questions long!

Dr. Seelinger is a wonderful professor. She is very helpful and understanding. Class is extremely exciting with her leading it. It was very refreshing to see a professor so alive with enthusiasm for her job. Loved the class!!!!!

One of the best teachers I have ever had - amazingly dedicated to her students (male AND female!!) Only the slackers & losers who can't get into Dr Arthur's "automatic A" classes complain about her! Get MY drift?!?!

This was an awesome class. I learned a TON, and the professor was very helpful. I don't know what all this junk is about being graded unfairly for not sharing her views (or for being male!) -- she treated everyone fairly and made it very clear that she valued everyone's opinion.

Anyone who complains about this woman is insane. I have learned more from her than anyone else during my 3 years here at Marshall. AMAZING WOMAN. Loves everyone (male and female) and is always more than willing to help. She's tough, but worth it. Values everyones opinion.

Best professor in the world. Unlike other posts she has always been in her office when I was there. She is extremely helpful to students and does everything this possible to help you solve a problem. I will be taking her for any class she teaches. I highly recommend taking her classes.

I can't believe anyone would say anything negative about this woman-- she is an amazing teacher, and she really does care about ALL of her students. I laughed at the comment that said, "How about helping your students do good!" Obviously this person needs to take her English class, too!

Best prof in the world! She knows her stuff. The class is a challenge, but she does everything she can to make sure you know it. She wants you to UNDERSTAND education law, not just read about it. Very helpful and hilarious!!

Dr.Seelinger was definitley one if not the best teacher I have had at Marshall University. I learned so much more than just what was on the syllabus. She taught us valuable life lessons. If you study you should do fine. She gives you plenty of chances to redeem yourself.I will definitley take her again!

Dr. Seelinger is a great professor. I loved her class. It was difficult, but I learned a lot from it. If you want to learn something, take her class.

I find her to be very passionate about her job. She always seems to be happy to be in class, and she gives relatively easy and fun assignments. We have wonderful discussions and she always welcomes anyone's opinion. Taking her class has made me 100% sure that I want to spend the rest of my life teaching children!

Dr. S. is one of my all-time favorite teachers @ MU. Even now that I've graduated, she's still around willing to help me wherever she can. This class is difficult, but definitely worth the work. If you do the assignments and keep up with the class, you'll learn so much. She's very knowledgeable about the subject and makes it fun to learn.

Dr See is wonderful! THE best prof in the ed dept. here! She cares about us - takes time to help us and is always professional. She doesn't play favorites and is fair to students. She is one of the reasons I stayed in the college of ed!

Dr See is a super lady who does not lie - she cares about students and models good teaching.

Absolutely the best! :)

This isn't a class to be taken lightly. Do the reading even though some of it is hard to get through. She has a lot of energy in class. Several people end up dropping after the first day...but try to stick with it; you'll be glad you did in the long run.

Wonderful professor! She definately knows her stuff. The class is tough and you do have to work hard, but it's worth it. If you ever have a question about anything in the education department, she can most likely answer it! Take her for this class, you definately learn a lot and she makes it exciting.

Loved her. She is my favorite professor at Marshall. I even got my stuff switched around so she could be my advisor. I did not find the class long or boring and I really liked the way she taught. She is also a great person out of class. Extremely kind & approachable. If you ever need help or advice she is thrilled to give it. Great person, period.

GREAT teacher - clear, helpful, knows her stuff! Assignments are reasonable and so is she. She has high expectations, but you can meet them. Kiddie lit was a fantastic class with her! Don't expect a cakewalk - but she teaches the material very well. I strongly DISAGREE with those who claim she is biased against men and conservatives.

Dr. Seelinger is a wonderful teacher! Although she is very opinionated, she gives great examples and respects others opinions. Discussions are very interesting & she keeps you on your toes. I hate reading textbooks but this text was interesting. Come to class ready to discuss, read your chapters, & you'll do fine! Learned a lot!

Dr. Seelinger is a wonderful teacher! She actuallymakes you feel excited about being a teacher! She is devoted to teaching and helping you learn. You should not miss a class. If you do her SG, then you have all the information for the tests. The class is demanding but you can get an A easily if you work at it... I would definitely take her again.

Dr. Seelinger was great! Attendance isn't mandatory, but it helps since she goes over anything you ask. Her syllabus is TO THE POINT and expects you to read/answer it all, which you def. should!! Her tests are HARD and she tears you a new one when she grades, but I absolutely loved this class! She's GREAT to help you and understands circumstances.

Dr. Seelinger puts her heart into her teachings.She expects you to read every chapter and understand it sometimes a little more than you can. She is very liberal, and sometimes loose, in her remarks and responses--just suck it up and go on. Don't expect to receive an "A" in this class--however you can expect to be enlightened. Seelinger is amazing! I love her class.. This is her first semester teaching 207 (MUCH better than Paynter) I suggest you take her, speak up, and take good notes.. Her tests are SOOOO much easier than the quizzes she gives!

Dr. Seelinger's class is not the easiest class in the College of Ed., but it is probably the most useful. She presents both sides of most issues relating to politics surrounding compulsory public schooling in the US. I appreciate her focus on Ohio's current UNCONSTITUTIONAL form of school funding; she motivated me to help work for reform in Ohio.

One of my favorite professors! She expects you to try hard and wants you to learn! She is one of the most caring individuals I know!

Dr. Seelinger is by far the best and most helpful professor I have encountered in 4 years at Marshall. She is truly a gem of the University. GREAT teacher! I loved Dr Seelinger! Her class is hard, but as long as you read the book and take notes during class then you should be fine. She wants you to become the best teacher you can be. This is a difficult class but I learned a lot pertaining to education. If you come to class, read the book, follow the syllabus, read her directions, and do the work, you'll be fine. She is a great professor and wants you to be the best teacher you can be.

I have learned more from Dr. Seelinger in this class than every education course I have had combined. If you read each chapter and take good notes, you will be prepared for each pop quiz. If you're prepared for each pop quiz, you will do well on the test. She makes you earn your grade, though. Take this class seriously.

I loved this class! You have to work hard for your grade, but we're adults, we should be able to handle it. Not only is the information beneficial, but she's passionate about what she is teaching. Do the study guides she gives you, they help a ton!

When this class first began I felt highly intimidated by being enrolled in it. It seemed like I wouldn't be able to pass it, especially taking it as a second-year student. However, I worked hard and studied essentially every day for this class and earned my 'A'. It wasn't easy by any means, but the information was helpful from my perspective.

I was one of the rare males in the class. Most education majors are lazy and expect everything to be done for them. She follows her syllabus, so treat it like gold! She won't remind you of assignments because she wants you to be professional. You want to be a teacher, right? Then start thinking like one! I had such a crush on that cute lady!

I absolutely love Dr. Seelinger! Her class was the hardest one I had this semester, but she's such a lovely person and she's so sweet! She cares about all of her students and will go above and beyond for you as long as you do your work! Her class is tough, but take her if you get the chance. You won't regret it!

Dr. Seelinger is without a doubt one of the best professors I have had at Marshall and one whom I intend to take again. Granted her classes can be tough, but I actually feel like I learned something useful; a complete 180 from other class I have had this semester.

However, those aspects of her classes are what molds successful, competent teachers. They don't give me enough characters to sufficiently explain why you SHOULD take her.

I had Kathy for EDF 435 + 475, plus she's my adviser. She cares about her students so much, knows what she's talking about since she has so much experience, and will make you learn. She's not the easiest, and may not be for some, but if you really want to learn about teaching she will help you.

I have learned more from Dr. Seelinger than from any of my other education classes. Her class can be tough, but she really prepares you to be a teacher. She's funny and awesome and I love her. If you can take her, do it! Just as long as you're prepared to really work and actually learn something.

Dr. Seelinger truly cares about the information she is teaching you and makes the lectures interesting and enjoyable. There are not any homework assignments, but 3 exams. She does provide study guides for the exams, but the questions are tricky. She considers a C to be a good exam grade. But the exam scores are the only thing your grade is based on
