I'm questioning everything I do and how I do it on a daily basis; and I can't help but to observe others. She opened up a whole new perspective and I'm so grateful. I've been sick most semester but I haven't missed a day because this class is so interesting. I'll drag an IV to class if i have to just to listen to her talk. ^_^

This class has made me question everything I do and look at my friends even family and question what they do, lol! Masculinity and femininity is a social construct! There is no gay or straight, only time and place, lol! I never thought I would actually enjoy going to class on Saturdays, take her!

She is very non-formal. Although you still have to write essays , she brings actors for class shows, which are non formal as well. She makes you think critically, and the key word of this class is deconstruction...make sure you 're getting this concept. She doesn't accept absences.

She is really interesting teacher. Just do the papers well and you'll be fine. Grammar is not important, what's important is that you are critically thinking in your paper. Attendance and lateness will affect your grade. She reviews everyting before the finals. Her exam is easy if you listen to her all the time. She did a really good job! :)

It is possible to get an A if you do all work you have to do. Sometimes there are professors no matter how hard you work to get an A they'll not let you to get an A. But Prof. Perea is not one of those bad professors. I like here very much. I'd like to have her for all my classes

I took this class after my ESL class. Yes, she speaks so fast, but is not hard to understand. In fact, the way she speaks, and and tells the subjects make it more interesting. I already like sociology, but in this class I liked more. I really enjoyed her class and if you want to take sociology class too, you are absolutely in the right class.

Perea was delightful, I had her 1x a week for a 3hr lecture class. Pay Attention & Take all the notes you can because you are restricted to that information only when writing 3-5+ page papers. the topics are 'touchy' she's straightforward & inspired me to change my mentality a lot! she cares for her students esp. if u care to pass. Dr. Perea appeared that she would be a tough and difficult Professor at first. You will soon learn that she just takes her job seriously and expects you to take the Subject serious as well. Took this class as an elective. By the way this is the first time i actually ever rate a professor, i felt like she deserved to get the credit, which is why i took my time to rate her. Definitely take her. Her lectures are very interesting . She only gave us three papers to write which are based on her lectures and a final test only.

She is amazing, and I loved this class. Made the class very fun, interesting and hilarious . She assign's 7 papers to do throughout the seamster however you only have to do , a page and half long minimum. The Assignments are basically everything you learned in class. NO TEST just final which is one of the papers you had already wrote.

If you really want to understand how our society works you should follow her. Its a little hard in the beginning but she is very straight and clear. Great professor, took her class in spring 2019 and it was fantastic. Take notes of everything she writes on the board and do the essays, you can choose which essays to give her. She's fair but do not plagiarize. She won't hold you in the class, as soon as she's done with her lecture she'll let you go.

Easiest Class Ever. All you have to complete is 4 essays. Essays are kind of redundant and can feel like you are writing about the same topic each time. She doesn't give feedback but gives a good grade as long as you do it. I would take her if you want an Easy A!

I love Professor Perea, she is very easy going/flexible with assignments. No harsh deadlines or stressors you can work at your own pace. The lecture material was alot of reading but it was interesting. Most essays were inspired by LGBTQ+. Provided feedback upon request for assignment grades. Her class is refreshing when your schedule is demanding.

I enjoyed the course. Perea is a laid-back professor. No harsh deadlines, very understanding. We wrote four essays, and I received an A- on all of them. If you thoroughly review her lectures and videos, the work becomes easy. Only drawback: she doesn't provide feedback on assignments. I would take her again, though!
