I was really nervous to take Public Speaking...but having Katie as a teacher was great. It wasn't scary to get up in front of the class.

Katie was a fabulous teacher. I was dreading this class...but it wasn't too bad.

i hate presenting/speaking in front of groups. This class wasn't as bad as i thought. Katie makes it interesting and is very understanding. A teacher you can relate to.

OK class, great instructor. Even though I really disliked the subject matter she made the class enjoyable. I hate to admit it, but I did learn something. ;) She likes Harleys BTW, you may be able to use that to your advantage...

I took her for speech. I hate speaking in front of the class, but she made me feel really comfortable. She is just a wonderful person. The homework is not overwhelming, yet you learn a lot. She is very enthusiastic and shows true concern about her students. I say take a class with her, if you can!

Should I feel guilty for blowing off this class the entire semester and earning almost 100% in the class? No, it's merely a general education course! It's supposed to be worthless! Katie knows that.

Katie seems to lecture straight out of the book- literally. This isn't a problem though, there are three tests and discussion questions per chapter with four homework assignments. She also seems to dislike President Bush a little, and occasionally showed it in her examples. Fairly easy class.

a fun instructor to have. Sometimes contrdicts herself a bit, and also confuses studetns. But a good woman at heart.

Has fun while she teaches. Class was pretty fun. She's a cutie too! ;-)

Katie is an excellent teacher. She makes things clear and put it in your perspective. If you're going to take a communication class, you should so pick her. It should be an easy A.

Awesome teacher, one of my favorites by far. She makes the class fun and on a few occasions she held the class outside if it was nice out (and even let us smoke)

Easy-going instructor that is a fair grader. Had opportunities for extra credit and made everyone feel comfortable in the class. Unless you don't have your outlines done right and screw up your speeches completely it is hard to not get an A.

very excellent teacher. first she is hot and funny. so far, she is the best teacher that i had. i will strongly recommend her for speech. to pass easily your tests, work in group. the tests can be tricky also read carefully the words. by the way, you will know her ex husband through her examples they will make u understand the course

Did it online- piece of cake. Get to know her, and your grade and speeches will improve. I could relate to her on many instances and that built the experiance. It helped having 2 groups with 12 or less people in your audience!

I loved this class. I took this class as a requirement, not thinking I would enjoy it. I was wrong. She makes the material incredibly easy to learn without having to assign any more work than other profesors. I ended up doing far less classwork in this class while learning more than I have in any other class. I would take her class again.

Her tests are hard but if u understand the materials in the textbook, u will do just ok! Overall, she's cool and easy. She lets u do partern test, pick smart pple. Jx go 2 class on time every day,and have ur assignment turns in on time, u will get an easy A. HAVE FUN!!!

Katie is an awesome teacher! She is nice and really funny. I can't wait to take another class with her. I would definitely suggest her for as many classes as possible. She really made the learning fun. Her tests are somewhat difficult but as long as you pay attention (not that hard to do) you'll be ok.

I took this class online. I absolutely hate public speaking, but most people I ever had to speak in front of was 7 so that made it a lot easier. Her notes are a little hard to understand.

Easy A if you show up and do the work. I didn't really learn anything in this class, though. Interpersonal Communications is basically common sense. She seems like a really nice person, but I don't think she teaches all that well.

Katie is a great teacher! She knows the material very well and you learn a lot in the class. She also provides the class with many extra credit oppurtunities, so it is near impossible to recieve anything less than an A in the class.

She's a great teacher! The class was very easy as long as you come to class and do your assignments. The assignments take about 15 minutes each. Easy A. Very sweet lady and she's funny.

She is very excited about interpersonal communication. She keeps the class interested and doesn't lecture the entire time. The tests are pretty easy, if you are in class and review the book based on her exam study guides. I didn't want to take the class, but now I am glad I did.

Katie is a very good teacher, she make the class fun and exciting. I wasn't looking forward to taking it, but well worth my time. I would highly recommend it.

Katie is scatterbrained but her class is easy. It's informal but you lose points if you miss more than 1 class. There were five large assignments, one was all online discussion over 7 weeks. Two other ones were short 1-2 page papers. We did a fishbowl activity to show listening skills. The last assign was a group project to show course concepts.

I had Katie for Interpersonal communications and she was a great instructor. Very motivational and made the class fun! My only criticism would be sometimes control of the class allowing students to go way off on a tangent. But overall fabulous instructor and would highly recommend her. I learned some valuable communication tools from her.

I had Interpersonal Communications with Katie this spring. To make a long story short: Attend class, do the study guides (easy) and you will get an A. She has a way of relating her life with the material which helps you learn better.

Katy's Class is easy to understand if you complete the assignments, the reading, and show up you won't have a hard time. The instructor is nice friendly and reasonable. If you are lazy and aren't open minded this class is not for you. I actually had fun in this class especially during the discussions and was eager to come back the next day.

Class is easy to understand since it's basic things. Sometimes class and Katie gets distracted/side track, which is okay but not good due to this is suppose to be a learning communication class and students paid for this class. Otherwise, class is okay if you just need the credit.

Had her for principles of interpersonal communication. She is a good teacher as far as knowing material but she can be a bit snarky and defensive when questioned about things such as grades or material which might make some hesitant to approach her.

She is a wonderful teacher and makes it fun to be there. I learned a lot during this last semester and it's all things that apply to my every day life. My relationships have already improved. All you need to do is follow the syllabus. Few assignments but make sure to do them when they are marked on there.

Katie seems a bit busy, but the Fund Speaking online class is easy. She gives an option to come into class to give speeches (if you don't have the at home video aspect down). Don't depend on her to grasp the concepts from the book. This is a self taught Online Class. Her directions are detail to follow them and get an A!

Katie really loves what she's doing and it shows. If you show up and participate you're likely to get an A. I thought she was an amazing professor and always made class fun so it made it easier to want to attend every class.

I cannot think of anything that needed any input or improvement besides the test. It is a great course for anyone to take, some of us can really use good and proper interpersonal communication skills. I recommend it, besides you get to know people.

Literally the easiest class ever. Just show up and you should pass. Tests are done in groups after the first one. Couple of out of class projects but are really easy to do. Few homework and all you have to do is read for the test as there is no homework from the reading.

Katie was an amazing teacher and would not mind taking her again! She was there whenever you need help , she was very hilarious. I love when she let us engage in group of 3 or 4 to discuss the chapters.

I took her public speaking class online and had to show up to do the speeches in front of class. She was very helpful and friendly, and tried to boost student's confidence when they were struggling on a speech. Great teacher, minimal work, and clear expectations.

Excellent professor. She makes class very enjoyable. Show up, do the easy extra credit surveys and all assignments on time, and you will get an A for sure.

She makes class fun and lectures are clear. Do the online discussions and do not miss more than two classes. You will lose points for non attendance. . There are two group projects so pair up with a group that wont procrastinate.

I just love her! Her classes are fun and she cares about students. She wants students to use what is learned in the classroom with the family and friends. Attendance and on-time projects are important! I would love to take another class with her.

At first she is quite quirky and outgoing and it's quite confusing to understand why.. and then I realized it's a communications class and that's just how she is. Always positive and upbeat. You can skip class a couple times, but attendance is 150 points total. Tests are tricky, all multiple choice and true or false. Respect is how it gets easier.

Katy is a really sweet person! She offers a lot of extra credit and is very understanding. Late work isn't accepted, but you're in college, so welcome to the real world of deadlines. Easy A if you show up and put in the work. Attendance is HUGE!

If you want to improve your communication and at the same acquire a good grade then you are at the right place. Class are interesting with enough room for extra points.

Miss Katie is a very good teacher. She respect her student and always give feedback about your performance in class. She is very easy to deal with, hilarious. From the first day I enter her class I knew that I was going to get an A. Miss Katie is amazing.

Katie is very down to earth and funny. She offers extra credit. Although it was an accelerated class and lots of homework is to be expected she didn't overwhelm the class with it...I'll definitely take a class with her again!

Do the work when it's due, and study for the tests and you'll be sitting pretty, then you can enjoy the wonderful place that is her classroom!

She's a GREAT TEACHER! I didn't do well on tests but she offers so much extra credit chances and her assignments are VERY EASY! Definitely maintained my grade through those assignments and extra credit! Her tests aren't difficult, just read and study! One of my favorite teachers by far!

First teacher in three years to ever take the time to learn my name. It's so much easier for me to succeed in a class when I like the professor. She cares so much about her students. Her study guides make it very easy to pass all the tests, and she gives enough extra credit to make up any lost points. If you can, take Katie you wont regret it!

Katie is amazing. She literally covers what you need to know for the chapter quizzes. Her Class participation exercises applies and improves communication skills, SO PARTICIPATE! I love that she uses real life scenarios or make everything relatable. I highly recommend her!

Coming from a very particular human being, she was amazing! She was always very responsive. She was understanding and cared about everyone's success. We need more professors like her.

You literally get points for good attendance. LOTS OF BONUS POINTS AND EXTRA CREDIT. She does call on people sometimes. Study off her slides and mostly just pay attention in class and the test will be easy. Bc of COVID we took half the class online and that was easy bc she didn't require tests and only required posting a weekly answer toquestions.

I think Katie is a great professor. Her rubrics are very clear and straightforward. Participation in discussions is graded, but she makes the initial submission due Tuesday and then gives everyone until Thursday to respond, which I think is a great method. She was also very understanding about some personal issues I had and worked with me.

I took this online class this past spring and really enjoyed it. She had very clear instructions on due dates and what she expected from you. She was very quick to respond to any question I had. I would ABSOLUTELY take her class again!!

Katie is awesome! She cares about her students. She also has a great online class structure. There are lots of discussions and some quizzes. Answers are in the textbook so they are easy if you take the time to do them right. As long as you put in effort to get stuff done by the deadline and have good discussion responses, easy A.

Professor Gaitan is super sweet, she definitely cares about her students and the class itself is super easy and enjoyable. There wasn't a lot of homework and answers for the quizzes are all in the textbook.

she's very kind and does care about your education. some of her explanations on syllabus are a bit confusing, but you can always ask her for clarification. it is reading-heavy for the first half of the semester but manageable if you use your time wisely. just pray you get good teammates haha.
