If anyone needs to take a Stats class, I would really recommend taking one from Katie. She's really chill, and pretty, and just really pleasant. She makes the otherwise boring class actually fun to go to. She explains things at a good pace and provides easy notes to follow along with. I do recommend using the ebook instead of buying a solid copy.
She is very organized and helpful although I think she cares too much about how well the students do. She is a new professor and I think she might burn out, but I hope she doesn't. She could end up as good as Nancy Squires.
Katie is a very enthusiastic and motivated instructor. She is always willing to help, has a friendly attitude, and is invested in making sure your experience in statistics is not only enlightening, but fun as well as straight-forward. We used the book a fair amount but there was a bit of supplemental material (e.g. videos, printed notes)
Definitely not as hard as the course number implies. She lets you have an entire page of notes, front and back for the exams. Thorough and is clear in class, though some of the (online) homework isn't worded very well. You will rarely, if ever use the textbook. Katie is very involved outside of class and on the discussion board. Good experience.
Great class. Page front/back handwritten notes for tests. Test material based on her slides and assignments which are well made. Previous exams and solutions available in addition to study guides. Never read book, used only for reference. Used clicker for participation points (5% of grade).
Katie is one of the best instructors I've had so far at OSU. Very engaged in student's learning (blackboard, email, youtube videos!)Her exams can be tricky but she provides past exams for you to study from and her own practice problems. Did not use the textbook at all. Oh and did I mention she is HOT?
Katie is an amazing teacher. I had her for 201 and she was a little snippy with a large lecture class, but in ST202 she really takes the time to get to know each student (its a class if about 50). She's really great at communicating whats expected and wants students to get A's. She also allows 1 note of hands written notes on each exam.
Katie was amazing. She was patient and helped people when they needed it. Would listen to people and respond to emails in two days or less, which wasn't that bad. Participated in Discussion board for extra credit.
Katie Jager is great! Hardworking teacher, does a great job working to improve her classes, and always offers extra help when needed. Best lecture handouts I've ever used.
Don't skip lectures, participation points and extra credit points from clicker questions which are really really easy as she gives the answer. The work is not hard and gives you time to do them.
Great teacher. Has frequent office hours and encourages students to attend and ask questions. Go to class because the textbook isn't that great, and she gives extra credit clicker questions. Do all the work and ask questions and you will pass
I took ST 201 and 202 with her online and she made it so easy! I went into the class worried about how are it would be but ended up breezing through thanks to her. She is extremely helpful when you need it. Great, thorough lectures! Lot's of resources.
Excellent professor! Lectures are super clear and she goes over harder subjects multiple times. Uses a variety of lectures and in class examples to explain topics. Everything you need to know for the tests is covered in class. The majority of my class got ABs. Recitations for her class are super helpful too. Always friendly. One of my best profs!
Katie Jager is great! She created lectures that made the concepts easy to understand, offered many opportunities for extra credit, and is a fair grader. The amount of work each week is not overwhelming and each assignment specifically helps you understand the concepts even more. If you have to take statistics definitely take it with this professor!
Easy A if you put in the effort and watch the lectures. Dr. Jager presents the material in a very easy to learn format and has a lot of examples. If you want to get a good foundation in Stats without the common stress that comes with it, take it with Dr. Jager!
I took this class online. Expectations and assignments are clearly laid out. The material gets more difficult toward the end of the term but is very manageable. She gives extra credit for activity in discussions. There are two proctored exams through Canvas--a midterm and final--worth about 50% of your final grade.
If you are planning on taking ST 201, take it online with Dr. Jager! I was so scared of this class because I'm not very bright when it comes to math (I mean it), but she structures the class really well so that you have the support you need.
Great stats prof. ST 314 is a hard class for a lot of students, and the grades reflected that. She explains the math and charts very well, but gives out long homework that often takes a few hours to complete. The tests were relatively easy. She's also very attractive, which makes going to class always a pleasure. Definitely take her class.
Katie is an excellent teacher that condenses and presents information in an understandable way (textbook is horrible) who cares that you understand the material and do well, and goes well above and beyond to help the students. I went into this class apprehensive, and deservedly so, but walked away feeling good and that I understand the concepts.
If you are taking ST 314 at OSU take the class with Katie Jager. She is very helpful during lectures and is fair in test difficulty and assignments. She also gives extra credit points if you attend. Getting a passing grade should not be an issue if you put the work in. Highly recommend.
Katie is easily the best professor I have had at Oregon State. I loved going to lecture because she incorporated humor as well as her intelligence into the lectures. The class was incredibly easy because she taught in a way that made sure we all knew what we were doing. Highly reccommend and I would definitely take all of my stats classes with her.
Katie is a very approachable and caring professor. Her class is very organized. she just helps you to be very focused on the content of the class and not worry about something else. I would definitely take a class with her again.
She was overall a good instructor. I didn't have to use the textbook once because her lectures explained concepts well enough. The only thing she could improve on is responding to questions and errors in her content faster. Several extra credit opportunities make for an easy A.
The only section was two 8am 80m lectures which normally would've sucked, but Katie made it okay. She runs marathons. She like married a pro tennis player? She's hilarious and super relatable. She's skillful at teaching. She runs a class well and her assignments and exams are reasonable. It doesn't get much better than this.
Katie Jager is one of few teachers that puts significant effort into making her class not only educational, but fun. Like all classes, there will be boring days, but between worksheets, games, and competitions, she keeps the class entertaining. There is lots of helpful extra credit that can be earned by just showing up to class as well!
Really awesome professor. Super organized and helpful. Would recommend
Katie is super chill, caring, gives entertaining lectures, and provides amazing feedback. I honestly wished she taught more stats courses, but what can you do? Definitely take stats with Katie if at all possible. Recommend in person instead of online.
Katie is very energetic and loves what she does. She makes Stats fun. The lectures are long and a lot of information, but it is very consistent and you know what you have to do. Data Analysis and WebAssign HW is due every week. You can turn in early to have a pre-grading and adjust your work for points. Extra credit if you participate with clicker.
I cannot say enough good things about Katie and her presentation of statistics. Her in person class was great but too early for my commute so I dropped it and took it online. It is HANDS DOWN the best online class I have ever taken. Points are spread out with lots of extra credit so if you try hard you are almost guaranteed to pass and learn stats!
amazing prof with engaging lectures, lots of practice tests and has the option for pre-grading so you know what your score will be before you turn it in
Fun lectures with games and really clear content/organization. Option to pre-grade homework so no excuses for not getting 100%. Drops lowest homework as well so you can slack off a week if you dont have time. Really nice and genuine teacher, really cares about student success. Would highly recommend.
Katie is the best instructor I have had! She is extremely smart and beautiful:) her lecture videos are great and she offers a lot of extra credit
Katie explained material clearly and was very engaging.
I had Katie for ST351 this term and she was a co-professor with Juliann Moore, Katie did a great job keeping lectures interesting and keeping all of the students engaged. I would definitely take her for a stats class because she made everything very easy to understand.
absolutely amazing professor - her lectures are fun and engaging and she covers everything you need to know for the tests and homework. I've never seen anyone so prepared (no matter the technical difficulty, she has a backup plan!) she was also incredibly understanding and helpful when I missed a week of class due to being hospitalized.
Katie is one of the best teachers I have ever had and definitely the best online teacher. She is organized, cares about her students, has great lectures, is accessible to students via office hours, passionate about what she does.... The list goes on. I would highly recommend her!
Very well organized class. You know like some professors are smart but have no teaching skills? Not in this case, she's a naturally talented professor and you will get an A if you do the work and listen.
Amazing professor, extremely accommodating especially in office hours. Course layout is very well executed, perfect for self-study without needing to watch hours of YouTube. Lots of opportunities for extra credit, easy to earn a high grade. Arguably best professor in the math department I've had so far.
Katie is a great teacher who makes the material easy and fun to learn. Most of the grade for the class is in the homework and in class participation. 10% midterm and 10% final, puts less pressure on test grades.
Katie is very nice and helpful if you have any problems. There are quite a few Excel assignments but there are step-by-step videos to help you. Overall a good class considering the subject is not my favorite.
BA275- One of the best professors I've had at OSU. You can tell she actually cares about the success of her students and provides great feedback and help with questions during classes. She created a great class environment where we felt comfortable talking amongst classmates and weren't afraid to ask questions. She really encourages participation
For someone like me who finds statistics very confusing, Katie is the perfect professor. She explains things EXTREMELY well, and her lectures are easy to follow. If you keep up on the weekly assignments you'll do well. There are multiple opportunities to reach out for help, and she really cares how you are feeling about the coursework.
Katie was an excellent professor and walked us through everything we needed. I also feel like I wasn't rushed through a unit and the way we were graded on assignments and exams were completely fair. Definitely recommend taking her for stats BA275
Katie is amazing, lectures are great, class set up is great. It won't be easy, don't get your hopes up for easy A, but if you spend enough time and effort - you will be able to get a good grade. Exams are not easy at all, but lots of extra credit opportunities and you can get good grades on weekly homework assignments.
What a wonderful professor! Katie makes learning enjoyable and is the best professor I've had so far in my college journey. She deserves all the great reviews. She takes the time to answer student questions and is active in the class. If you do the work and ask questions, you'll definitely be able to succeed in the class. Lots of extra credit.
Katie made me enjoy learning again. Amazing lectures & easy communication. Lots of extra credit for discussion board participation per week. The data analyses are fun! The class is not a cake walk, but you learn a lot in the process and Katie makes it easier to understand the concepts. She wants you to succeed.
Absolutely love her. Thought it would be hard but she has a lot of videos on how to use the software & how to do problems. Presentations are a breeze and everything about the projects is easy. Allows sheet of notes on quizzes. If you have to miss a class you can go to one of her others in order to get the participation points or if you miss a quiz.
Katie cares about your success in her class and provides plenty of videos to help in the different projects and homeworks. Katie's class was structured pretty well and in-class activities and attendance were pretty staightforward.
Katie Jager loves statistics which makes her a great professor in this subject. She does not accept late work but drops the lowest score on an assignment at the end of the term. Her video lectures are interactive (not graded) and it is extremely helpful to retain information. 10 out of 10 I would take her course again.
Katie is hands down my favorite teacher I have had at OSU. I dread math and statistics but she makes everything super engaging and easy to understand. She will always answer your questions and is one of the easiest people to talk to. I couldn't recommend her more.
Honestly the best math class I've taken at OSU. Her lectures are thorough and easy to understand, and you are given the choice to either work on projects independently or as a group. Projects are also explained in depth and truly help to further knowledge of the course material!!!
Amazing professor. She had detailed, easy to understand lectures. She was available during office hours and answered questions in the discussions. With the homework, lectures, online tutorials and projects I felt very prepared for the final.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EXTRA CREDIT. Follow video tutorials each week. I thought I was bad at stats until I took this class -- Katie is not only knowledgeable but the best TEACHER (rare) that I have had at OSU, ever. Couldn't be a better person to teach this class; I wish other profs learned from how effectively she runs things.
Prof. Jager was one of the best teachers I have had at OSU. She makes learning math so easy. I did not really like math classes until I took her classes. I took both BA 375 and BA 275. Her lectures make it easy to understand the material. Extra credit was given just by asking questions and answering other students' questions. Take her classes!
this teacher is heaven sent -- she might actually be the best teacher i've ever had
Katie Jager is wonderful! I absolutely loved her lectures. As someone who hates stats, this class was definitely a little tough towards the end, but she made it so easy to understand. She also gives you so many resources to help you understand the content, and even has open office hours online and in-person. TAKE HER!!
Katie is the best professor I've ever had at OSU! She genuinely cares about her students and their success. This class is lecture heavy, so make sure to go to class because you'll learn a lot of information there. She also gives extra credit each week for posting on the Q&A board. There's a midterm & final exam, it's easy if you show up to class!
Katie is one of the best instructors I've had so far at OSU. She cares a ton about all her students and wants them to do well. Class is lecture dense but they're really interactive and engaging for all her students. While the concepts can be difficult, Katie explains them really well. Assignments aren't too bad and mainly graded for completion.
Katie Jager's explanation of concepts are the best that I have ever seen in any subject.
Katie is one of the best instructors at OSU. She's exceptionally skilled at teaching and can explain concepts in a simple and straightforward way. The majority of the grade is based on homework, attendance, and data analysis which are pretty easy. Exams are straightforward if you come to lecture and she allows two pages of notes on them!
Funny, smart, sarcastic, supportive, kind, and good at her job. Katie Jager is the whole deal. Take her!
She made statistics fun and engaging while also being that way herself. You could tell she cared about students and would do as much as she could to help barring they also did as much as they could to learn. Overall, an amazing professor I would highly *highly* recommend taking stats from her.
Katie might seem intimidating at times but her knowledge of statistics and her sheer ability to teach is unparalleled. She is one of the best math teachers at all of OSU and anyone in the College of Business that gets to take her class is extremely lucky. She is organized, funny, and awesome! I really hope I have her for BA375 too!
Katie is one of the best professors in the CoB, period. Her lectures are amazing and cover absolutely everything needed for the exams to a very deep level. Nothing is ever a surprise and she allows for two full pages of notes on the exams. Weekly data analyses make up for an easy chunk of the grade and a bit of extra credit is provided.
Katie explains concepts beautifully and covers everything you would need to know for the exams. If you show up to class, the exams will be easy. She gives a decently generous amount of extra credit and she cares about students a lot. And she's more than willing to answer any questions you have! Sometimes she'll even curve the exams by a few points!
The content of the class can be difficult but Katie has a magical way of explaining statistical concepts so that not only does everything makes sense, but is also super fun too! She's sweet, funny, VERY organized, and is a generous grader too. Definitely would recommend her class. Katie is one of the best and most caring instructors at OSU.
She is very caring and willing to help. If you show up to class and say attention, it will be very easy to understand and follow. Lectures are really clear and easy to learn. Attendance is mandatory, but you get to miss 2 classes. Only reason I got a A minus was because I started slacking off at the end of the term.
Students are held to high standards and are expected to put in their all, however Katie invests a lot of time and effort into her students. She is willing to move heaven and Earth to make sure everyone in her class does well. Practice exams are VERY reflective of actual exams and you are allowed two note sheets. Her lectures are AMAZING so show up!
Honestly, Katie is singlehandedly the best professor I have ever taken at OSU. I generally dislike math and was anxious going into statistics for the first time, but Katie made everything easy to understand with her lectures. Her assignments were generally easy to complete and not too time-consuming. She also genuinely cares for her students!
Katie is the embodiment of an instructor who genuinely cares about student success. The class isn't easy but it also isn't hard. As long as you put in the effort to show up, take good notes, and ask questions, you will do well. Go to office hours! She is very helpful and explains math in a magical way. Anyone who is scared of math, take her class!
She is not mid... she's the best teacher ever!
BA275 is a great class if you take it with Katie. As long as you show up, take notes, participate in discussions, and put effort into the assignments, you will do well. Katie is an easy grader on assignments and her tests aren't necessarily difficult but if you do not study, you won't do well. She is very enthusiastic about answering questions.
Katie is the best instructor I've had at OSU. She is extremely smart but makes class info accessible. She uses her time well and gives clear, enjoyable lectures. She is passionate and makes showing up to class super easy. Attendance is key to doing well in her class, but she is a generous grader and genuinely wants to see her students succeed.
Katie is honestly the best math teacher I've ever had. She makes learning statistics a breeze and cares about her students so much! The exams aren't weighted heavily and shouldn't be hard at all as long as you attend class, do the homework, and look over the study guides. Ask questions on the discussion boards to get extra credit. Super funny too!
Statistics can be a hard class but Katie does such a wonderful job explaining it! She is a bit strict about late work but is very understanding at the same time and will drop your lowest score to account for any missing work. The content is difficult but I thought Katie graded fairly and she gave amazing feedback! Take her course!
Despite being an online class, I can confidently say Katie was one of the best instructors that I could have possibly had for a math course. Her videos were INCREDIBLY helpful and covered statistics in such an easy-to-understand way. Exams were proctored but not difficult at all. I thought she graded fairly and gave amazing feedback. 10/10 class!
Best. Teacher. Ever.
I took Katie's Business Statistics in-person. It was one of the best classes I have had. The content is incredibly dense and somewhat difficult but she is willing to sit down with you and explain until you thoroughly understand everything. She is a fair grader and there is a consistent amount of work per week. You get two sheets of notes for exams.
Literally an angel. Definitively the best math teacher I have ever had! There's no amount of praise I can give that matches her teaching abilities...
Ecampus lecture videos were very rich and informative! Miss Katie is so good at explaining statistics and makes math look very easy in general. There is not too much work and while it can be tough, you can get help on the discussion boards. Exams are proctored but are graded very fairly. The class requires you to put in work but is easy to pass.
This is a class where you will get out what you put in. The content starts off easy but it gets difficult quickly. As long as you show up to class, participate, and do the assigned work, you will succeed. Katie has high standards but is accommodating and truly wants everyone to succeed. Her lectures are insightful and are well articulated!
Katie is one of the most informed lecturers in the College of Business. She knows exactly what she's doing and it makes her great at her job. For a subject as difficult and content-dense as statistics, you need a good teacher and Katie is the perfect fit. She can be strict but is generous with her grading/extra credit policy. Tests are easy.
Ms. Katie is an exceptional math instructor!!! Seriously one of the best teachers around. The content of the class is hard but she breaks it down so well and makes it very easy to understand. Lectures cover everything on the exam and there are no surprises as long as you study. Two notes sheets are allowed and all MCQs. She's a chill grader too!
Amazing professor! Her lectures are detailed and informative, covering everything on the exams. The content is tough and complex but grading is lenient. Two notes sheets are allowed on exams and the questions are easy, as long as you do the work beforehand. Participation is a must and attendance is required but it is easy to do well if you show up!
Katie represents the ideal professor to have for a math class. She makes learning statistics so easy and fun. Her lectures are amazing. She is always available for questions and gives detailed easy-to-understand feedback quickly, both in class and on discussion boards. She is generous with her grading!! Exams are m/c AND partial credit is provided.
Katie's class is not an easy A by any means but she will try her damn hardest to get you there. Her lectures are super informative and cover everything you need to know to become a statistics master. She offers plenty of resources and her feedback is next level. Very forgiving when it comes to grading! Show up to class and pay attention/take notes!
Katie is the best professor I've taken at Oregon State by far. (And by a mile!) class lectures were SO engaging, and the assignment criteria were very clear. I was worried about Stats going into this class, but now I can apply what I learned. If you're nervous about taking this course, take it with Katie! I can't say anything bad about her.
Katie is one of the best professors at the entire school. If you struggle with math she is the professor for you because of how easy she explains the subject. Business majors dread taking statistics but all the upperclassmen I know only have compliments for Katie. Her tests are exactly like her practice exams and she allows two note pages!
I wish I could select more tags because Katie deserves them. Katie's lectures cover everything you need to know and they're so relatable and funny. Everything's easy to understand and Katie prepares you very well for the exams. She even got rid of the pricey textbook and adapted the course so it's not required. And she offers so much extra credit!!
Very GOOD.
Katie might actually be the most talented professor I've ever had. It's insane how good she is at teaching.
Katie did an amazing job reducing math and statistics anxiety. She work with you and is willing to help. Gives a ton of extra credit and she actually wants you to do well in class. If you are at all nervous about statistics do take this class with her and don't worry, you will do great
Katie #slays! She's actually so helpful and explains the content so unbelievably well. The class was hard but all the opportunities she provides to do well and get extra credit helped me do well.
Katie is a great professor that really cares about her students. She took the time to go over some things with me that I wasn't quite grasping. This gave me the confidence and guidance that I needed to improve my overall grade in the class by the end of the term. If I could have her for another statistics class, I would.
Took two classes with her online - I wish she taught all my classes! You can tell she cares about her students and the subjects she teaches. She made difficult subjects engaging and enjoyable to learn. Good communication and interesting lectures. An amazing person!
I was truly blessed to have her as my teacher. I really wish she would teach BA375 again because I would take it with her.
AN ABSOLUTE GOAT I WISH SHE COULD TEACH ALL MY CLASSES!!!!!!!
It's only week 4 but so far Katie is amazing. She explains all the complicated mumbo jumbo really well and gives excellent feedback. Has been very responsive to questions. We have our midterm next week but she put out a practice midterm and it isn't too bad. VERY organized. I might add more at the end of the term but this is good for now.
Katie is probably the best math teacher you can have ever. The class is hard but not impossible. She offers a lot of extra credit and all the work done in class is very relevant not just for the exams but also in real life. She focuses more on application of statistical analysis in the business world than rote memorization. Lots of excel work!
Katie is one of the best math instructors I've had. She explains things so clearly that even the hardest units make sense. Her lectures are super organized, and she genuinely cares about students. If you struggle with math, she's the professor you want. Just keep up with the work, and you'll do great. Highly recommend her class!
I thought I'd never understand statistics. After taking Katie's class, I was proven wrong. Best class ever, best teacher ever. She was always patient and happy to answer questions regardless of how lost I was. I thought tests were fair and she offers so many resources to help you prep. Multiple attempts on hw and it was easy to get a good grade.
Katie is a fantastic professor! She clearly outlines guidelines, homework, and what is expected. Her lectures are focused on learning the important content vs. a basic formula. I looked forward to class with her and will continue taking every class she offers.
By far the best math teacher I ever had its not even close really. She is literally a goddess omfg
Katie is super nice and very understanding, she clearly cares about her students. Gave lots of opportunities for extra credit, and made the content accessible and easy to understand. Make sure to go to office hours!
Katie slays she's like actually so girlboss it's hard to not geek out when she explains statistics. Really easy to do well in her class since a lot of the points built into the class are just for pulling up to class and doing the assigned weekly data assignments. Extra credit can boost your grade a lot and the tests are not hard at all.
Katie Jager is an exceptional instructor. Her lectures are clear, engaging, and funny, making it easy to understand difficult concepts. She offers ample extra credit opportunities and provides detailed, prompt feedback. She is an easy grader, so as long as you put in a decent effort, you're likely to do well in her class.
Katie was great! She gives you a notes outline for each chapter which makes everything so much easier to learn. Plus, the way she explained topics was very easy to understand, I never had to re-learn things outside of class time. It's impossible to fail this class with the EC given and exams aren't insanely hard either.
Katie is by far one of the best math instructors I ever had. She explains the subject better than any other teacher and is willing to work with you over and over until you understand a concept. Participation is a huge part of the class but you can miss two classes with no penalty. Exams are a piece of cake if you spend time to study the material.
I love Katie. She's the best math teacher I've ever had, bar none. She explains everything so clearly and she doesn't expect you to go above and beyond, only to put in authentic effort and to be honest. She gives you a lot of resources to succeed and her lectures cover everything you need to know for the exams which are painless if you study some.
Professor Jager is hands down one of the best at OSU. She explains concepts so clearly and makes stats feel way less intimidating. Her lectures are organized, engaging, and funny. She truly cares, responds quickly, and gives extra credit. If you put in the effort, you'll do well. Absolutely take her if you get the chance!
Katie was probably the most impactful teacher I ever had at OSU. As somebody that struggled with math a lot, she makes it look so easy. I was able to earn an A just by going to class and paying attention. Her practice exams are exactly like the real thing and have no trick questions! Take her class! You won't regret it.
Engaging lectures
I found Instructor Jager to be really engaging and supportive—she explains things clearly and is always approachable. Her feedback is super helpful and the classroom always has positive vibes. Grading is very fair and not strict at all, but you actually end up learning a lot. I highly recommend taking her class!
Katie is an exceptional instructor and makes learning any type of math so easy! She is a forgiving grader and lets you make mistakes to build the learning process rather than penalizing you. All the assignments and exams are straightforward. If you go to class and do the practice exams, you will get a good grade. Her lectures are incredible!
Katie changed everything for me. I came into her class anxious and convinced I'd fail. Math has never made sense to me. But somehow, she made it feel doable. She believed in me when I didn't. Her support, her clarity in instruction, even her jokes—everything just clicked. Her classroom was my safe space and I will appreciate that forever.
Katie is so amazing! She really helps with explaining the concepts. She is fantastic!
Katie is one of the most talented instructors at Oregon State when it comes to teaching. No one can really match her. While her class is run with high expectations, she genuinely cares about her students learning and is very understanding if issues come up. It's no surprise both her Fall BA375 sections and their waitlists filled up within minutes.
Omg i love her so much she's super bubbly and put in more effort into her Ecampus videos than any other professor! She's as good as Khan Academy or the organic Chemistry tutor if not better! her assignments are super easy and she responds to any questions you have super fast AND gives you extra credit for asking! literally the best teacher ever!!
I'm taking BA 375 with Katie right now, and she's honestly one of the best professors I've had. Super clear, organized, and genuinely cares if students understand. The class is a little difficult, but she makes the material make sense and so much more manageable! She offers a lot of feedback and extra credit opportunities so you perform well.
Katie is INCREDIBLE---she explains everything super well and is extremely funny. All the homework assignments and group projects are super easy and as long as you get a good group the class is smooth sailing. She is a fair grader, offers a generous amount of extra credit, and wants you to succeed.
Katie is the best math/statistics/data science/business analytics professor you can ever ask for. Her teaching is crisp, she is very accessible outside of class and is such a sweetheart. She is also super funny and relatable and has a lot of extra credit to help your grade. Best professor for BA275 and 375 and probably in whole college of business
Two words: The GOAT
I do not think there are enough praises that could be sung about Katie. She is without a doubt the best instructor the College of Business has to offer. Her pedagogical philosophy contributes to be what might be some of the best learning experiences that I and my peers have experienced. She truly is a God-sent force for excellence in education.
Ms. Katie has the clearest and easiest lectures I ever seen, She is the queen of math and a goddess of statistics!
I think the world would be a better place if Katie taught every class. She is just that great. BA375 was on the easier side of classes because of her and she did an incredible job breaking down and explaining everything you need to learn. Projects were a lot easier than I expected and she had a lot of extra credit, all of which was participation.
You would think data analytics would be boring but Katie makes it super fun and interesting. Her lectures are great, quizzes easy, and her final exam for BA375 is pretty much ditto the quizzes and practice final with a few new, yet predictable problems. She is a fairly easy grader and gives out a lot of extra credit. It's not too hard to get an A.
