Ms. Jackson is so lovable and energetic! Yes, you can expect a lot of homework but it's totally doable. She's a fair grader and ALWAYS there for you. I took advantage of the fact that you can email her your papers or homework questions and she'll help you and say this is right or this is wrong. No tests AT ALL. Only 2 papers to write. I loved her!!

Professor Kat's experience and knowledge regarding the subject is invaluable. When she walks in the door her enthusiasm and high energy is infectious. No tests, but reading and writing are a must. I am an alumnus of PCC. I attend UCLA now. I have had the pleasure of taking Professor Kat for CHDV 10, 15, 17, Set 100, Educ 13 and Educ 131. Pretty much if she was going to teach it I would take her. Be prepared to work hard and learn more than just the subject matter! She truly cares for all of her students! Amazing Human Being!!

Mrs. Jackson is a very charming professor. She is very professional, nurturing, and funny. She is so sweet and adorable. There are several group projects which may feel like an overload but she is ALWAYS there to answer any questions you may have and is constantly reminding you of the work and due dates. She gives EC just for being on time.

Summer classes are intense but doable, especially if you have an Amazing Professor! Mrs. Kat Jackson, was beyond that! She was available 7 days a week via office , phone, and email! Professor Kat is phenomenal! You will get a caring, tough love, inspiring, momma bear all wrapped in a tortilla topped with knowledge that will change you for the better. Not many professors give two bleeps about their students, but professor Kat goes above and beyond for her students. As long as you do all the work she asks of you youll do fine!

Prof Kat is very specific on coursework but as long as you stick by it and not be afraid to ask questions you will pass the class. She has encouraged me to finish my college education that I put off for so long. I am grateful that she was my first teacher going back to college. Professor Jackson is AMAZING. She is clear with what she wants on HW & tests so if you don't get a good grade it's your own fault. She literally gives you examples for everything, you get the assignments far in advance, you can send in drafts for her to review, AND she provides support outside of office hrs if needed. If you wanna learn, take her.

I took Professor Katrin Jackson in the spring of 2020. She is by far the best professor I've ever taken. She expects you to follow a format. But she will guide you step by step and if you're not confident with your work she allows you to send your drafts. I'm excited to take her class again this summer. Don't think twice to take her.

Professor Kat is an AMAZING & one of the BEST professors I have come across on my educational journey! Yes, she gives a lot of work and is a strict grader but is very clear. She literally gives you a step by step format list, a week(s) to complete work, allows you to send drafts before hand for help, & can be reached by phone anytime. Truly cares!

Easy A. She sets her students up for success 100% by giving EVERYTHING you need to know on day 1. She makes herself available 24/7, and this is not a lie. You can send an endless amount of draft papers up to the day before the due date. She lets you have a whole week to get an A. Those who chose not to use this, are the ones who fail the class.

This is my second class with Professor Jackson. She is funny, inspirational, and has high expectations for her students. She returns emails promptly and offers students the ability to send drafts to her prior to turning in the assignment for feedback. I had the pleasure to have Professor Jackson and I have to say she is a great, wonderful and very helpful person. For that person that worked so hard and still got a bad grade had nothing to do with the professor, that was on you not taking your time and sending draft copies of your work so she would be able to help you and correct your mistakes.

Going from the classroom to remote instruction, Professor Kat made huge modifications to our syllabus, to accommodate our needs! She was there every step of the way. Her work is doable and she gives so much to her students. She had lecture notes, videos, articles for every chapter! EXCELLENT Professor! Taking her for a summer class!

Im not a student who likes on line studying so when we went to remote instruction I was going to drop this class, but because of Professor Jackson I didnt! She constantly emailed her students and checked in with all of us! She worked with me, chatted with me via email and phone! She was there every step of the way! I learned so much!

If you want a Professor who is going to give you 300% of her time 7 days a week! Than take Professor Kat! Answered all my questions and concerns! Read every draft I sent her, and was there for me every step of the way in this class! Shes VERY organized! We had so many resources that we could download to use for future classes!

The work load is doable and necessary in my opinion. She definitely makes you work in her class, and as we are in college doesnt that make sense? Very nurturing, caring and understanding human being! It was a true pleasure being in her class! Will definitely take her again!

I took Professor Kat for CHDV30 and CHDV105 and it does get very overwhelming . But Professor Kat is there every step of the way. She is willing to check every assignment before handing it in to guarantee a pass. She makes herself available at any time to help out in any way. It's up to you to use that lending hand.

She pushed me to challenge myself academically in ways I didn't know I could reach and gave me so much confidence to see the potential I didn't realize I was capable of. very clear course criteria. follow her prompts, the class will be manageable. organization & structure is important to her. no room for mistakes. get full credit or zero points. turn in your work early to get a feedback. not a class to wing it. must "plan plan plan" graded on discussions, reflection papers, critical thinking papers, group projects.

In chdv 105 you learn so much! 2 assignments a week is doable as long as you manage your time wisely with your other classes! Professor kat is an open minded person who will listen to your suggestions and modify work and group work! Its no use making comments here after the class ends if you didnt speak up in her class! She is very approachable!

Took Professor Kat Fall 2020. She gave us 2 assignments every week, they were due Sunday nights at 11:30 pm. She Is so helpful she always encourages us to send her our drafts gives us feedback to fix the paper or gives us a green light to submit an assignment and get an A. She is great! Professor Jackson was the best Professor I've had in my last 4 years of schooling. She was incredibly accessible and on top of it. She made sure everyone felt supported and actually gave work that had purpose. I took the course for needed credits but I came out with one of the greatest teachers and a new perspective. Take her you won't regret it!

A 8 week semester is intensive and a lot of work!! Take this Professor! She's caring, outgoing, and such an incredible human being! I loved the emails and announcements she sent! You don't get this connection from other Professors! If she reaches out to you for help, take it and appreciate it ! Especially if it means passing the class!

I 100% recommend to take Professor Kat. She assigned work every week but it was nothing too difficult and she would give step by steps on what she wants from the assignment. As long as you complete the work given you'll pass. Her lectures were also very informative and never once did I get bored. She is a kind and down to earth professor.
