One of my favorite professors from Cuesta. Her tests are fairly easy if you study. Just print out the online tests and they are the exact same. She is a great teacher and you acctually want to stay the full lesson becasue its interesting.

I took the 9 week online class. It was difficult for me. This was the first and only B that I have recieved in college. I would recomend taking the full semester at school course. If your up for a challenge and want to learn a lot you should take her. If your lazy and/or a slacker, DO NOT take her, you will probably fail.

I have taken Katy twice, this time for Social Psych and she's been great both times (Intro Psych was a little easier, though). Basically if you show up to class and read the book you'll be fine. 4 tests (lecture/book), a few online forums, and a few attendance points. She has a great sense of humor and class discussions are always interesting.

Great teacher! She really tries to make the class interesting for non-psychology majors. Her exams require a mass amount of studying. You also must read the textbook to do well in the class; however, her class pays off, if you put in the time. You study hard, you get an A. You don't study, you'll probably get a C or D.

The tests were pretty straightforward if you went to lecture and worked on the study guides a bit. Katy is awesome- she is very passionate about her subject, she's funny, and she usually plays music videos before class. I still send her youtube videos after the term is finished- that's how dope she is.

This is one of my favorite classes. Every class is a lecture but they not even a little boring. They are filled with pictures and videos. You can really tell how much she loves psychology and she will make you love it too. There are 4 exams total, including the final which is only on the last 3 chapters. Best class I have ever taken.

Katy was great. She spent time answering my questions through email pretty quickly. She started the class with a really clear and easy to understand syllabus with grading system was explained. The writing assignments are easy, and can be short as long as they pertain to the material. Make sure to watch the videos. She makes it interesting!

If you follow her lecture reading notes along with printing out her lecture before class and paying attention you will pass her class. The tests include her lecture notes and her reading notes for the desired book. Go over the notes often. She is very helpful if you attend her office hours. First test I got a 66 and still managed to get an A!

I highly recommend Katy! Her course material is a little challenging, but not impossible. You need to both attend the lectures and read the book to pass the class, but if you set aside an hour a day to take notes from the book and study the material, there's no reason you won't pass. I enjoyed Katy's 201 class so much that I decided to take 206 just to be taught by her again. Her lectures keep you engaged and they are very clear. I was always excited to be going to her lectures. She has study guides for each exam, which are very helpful. Overall, she was the best professor I've had and would definitely take more of her classes.

Professor Neidhardt is a great professor and I would highly recommend taking her courses if you want to learn more about psychology. She is very understanding and if you complete all the coursework and study 15-30min for the tests you should have no issues passing the class.

I took this class 100% online, and by reading the reviews I wish I met her in person. I took the 18 week course that is crammed in 9 weeks. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of material but not impossible. As long as you study and don't fall behind, the exams are a breeze. She had good lecture slides to study with textbook material. I love Katy with my whole heart. She influenced me to change my major to Psych in less than a semester. She brings joy and support to the classroom every day, and never fails to make you smile. This is a six week course, with three exams and requires you to do a few discussions. There is a ton of reading (usually 4-5 chapters per exam), but she has study guides to help guide your reading and she will only test based on her study guides, as well as from the lectures and videos. Exams can be tricky but very doable. DO THE PRACTICE TESTS.

Professor Dittmer has a very straight forward and easy to navigate course page. The calendar is excellent and she is always willing to meet over Zoom, where she is super helpful and it is clear how much she cares about her students. I highly recommend this professor!

There are 3 exams in this class, and 5 discussions that she grades you on, did give extra credit paper for individuals to earn. Enjoyed the class, exams are definitely difficult, but if you use study guides, MUST read textbook, study vocabulary, and read lectures you will do just fine in class. I finished PSYC 206 9 week fast paced course, work hard for grade. Responds quickly to emails, and has great lectures! While I took both her PSYC 201 and 206, were similar in the format. Very kind and recommend, her exams make or break your grade though, so study well, ask questions, don't procrastinate on discussion forms, they are graded too.

Good class even online. A lot of reading and note taking to prepare for exams and some of the material on exams I couldnt seem to find anywhere. Good lectures. Not too much homework and all points earned other than exams are easy. Seems like a great teacher. Wish I could have taken this class in person!

Professor Dittmer is probably the best teacher I've had so far in my academic career. I had her for both fall and spring semester at Cuesta and am taking her again in the fall. I've had Katy Dittmer twice now (PSYC201 and PSYC206) and I love the type of lecturer she is. She's super nice and gets students involved in conversation, rarely getting off track. Twice I've had her fully in-person and I'd say attendance is super necessary to get the most out of the class, but she does provide a zoom link if needed.

I had Professor Dittmer for two classes and enjoyed both of them. They're overall easy and interesting but just make sure to prepare for the exams.

Very kind and has an interesting class. The discussions with peers while fun/informative, are not that important to grade. So really prepare for exams (multiple choice) by reading chapters/reviewing notes and using Quizlet or flashcards to remember key points and objectives. That said always double-check what objectives are being required to cover.

Prof Dittmer was an attentive and helpful teacher. Some of her exam questions seem to come out of nowhere and they can be tough. Discussion posts aren't too hard and the paper for research methods was moderate but she will meet with you outside of class to help. Focus on her lectures for exams.

Attendance isnt necessary however randomly she will give a in class participation assignment so its best to keep absences scarce. The exams are lecture heavy so take good notes and follow her test guide to ensure a easy A. Beyond the actual class structure Katy manages to keep everyone engaged while also being hilarious. This professor was very easygoing and set up the class to be as easy for you as possible. She gave her first due date a week after school started and only gave about one to two assignments a week. Both of them were very easy and low risk. Her class took me less than an hour per week. She used inquisitive every week and discussions occasionally.

Very funny professor and her lectures can be long, however they are really entertaining! Weekly discussion assignments were easy- requiring only 2-3 sentences. However, the exams were difficult because some of the questions were from random areas of her lectures that didn't seem worthy of memory. No notes or books allowed during exams so study!!

Very easy course! Just follow along with the modules each week and turn in all assignments and extra credit. You will do just fine.

Ms. Dittmer is genuinely one of the most caring professors I've ever met. I'm in two of her classes and both has been an amazing experience for me. Some say she's harsh but that just means she cares in my book. I met up with her countless times to get help with a paper I was struggling with and she made me feel so appreciated and understood.

Super nice and genuine, truly wants her students to succeed. As long as you show up to class and pay attention the class is easy, tests are mainly on lecture material so attendance is important but not mandatory. Really fun and engaging lectures. Great person and professor highly recommend, took this class specifically because i like her teaching

She is a great professor! Very funny lectures, which are used in her exams. I would study her lectures for sure when preparing for an exam. Not heavy on assignments or homework. Great class to take.

Very nice teacher always kept lectures interesting and fun. Had to do inquizitive for homework which could get somewhat annoying. Test were 50 questions just make sure to study.

Professor Dittmer is awesome!!! I took two of her classes and she is the most understanding and caring instructor I have had. She works with the students and she is very approachable. Professor Dittmer meet you where you are in your learning, the content is exceptional! I learned so many things in her class I dedicate my Psychology Degree to her.

this class was so fun and so easy. great for a gpa boost and i learned a lot too. i didnt even realize the class was so short until it was over.

Professor Dittmer is incredibly engaging, and lectures are interesting! The textbook was free and Inquizitive was used a lot. As long as you engaged with material, this class was easy. I had some trouble in the middle of the class and missed a few assignments, and she was not happy. However, if I had communicated, I would've had a better outcome.

Loved my psych class with Prof Dittmer! So kind and the assignments were so easy. Exams were also relatively easy if you did the reading and went through the slides (50 MCQ questions, 90 minutes to complete). The content is interesting and she clearly enjoys teaching it. Would seriously take her again.

Professor Dittmer's class is a blast - she keeps it engaging and funny. The textbook is free, and apps like Inquizitive and Unstuck ai make studying a breeze. As long as you stay on top of the work, it's an easy A. Just don't slack off - she'll call you out!

Katy was a wonderful professor, she has a hilarious personality. Her class is very easy to manage as long as you show up to lectures and complete the online assignments like itnquizitives, tests, etc. All of the exams are online and you can take them at home on your own time.

Inquisitive will be used for every chapter but it is very helpful for retaining information. Pay attention to lectures, as the topics discussed could possibly show up on a test!

I loved this class. Katy was warm, engaging, and delivered lectures that were relatable and entertaining. She has flexible deadlines and makes everyone feel welcome. We had study guides for the three major exams that made them very manageable. There were also weekly open-book quizzes. You will not regret taking this amazing class!

This was the class I looked forward to most of any previous college class. The discussions and group activities are engaging and cool. The lectures are super fun and went by way too quickly. Katy does a great job interacting with the class and making the material memorable. Highly recommend!
