Class comes down to a few Essays. Interesting, but wonder why she lectures since you know essays for the test beforehand, so you can prepare early. 10 page paper.

Attendance policy. Miss 5 you fail. Very heartless. Doesn't care about students or help on questions. Study guides are nothing like test. Lectures are different from tests. Stay the full test time she'll start giving away answers.

"Hello people" Dr. V is very interesting to listen to. She makes class harder than it needs to be. Her lectures are very entertaining but sometimes not what is on test. Test are usually multiple choice or guess in her case.

A class I would of enjoyed if I didn't have her, aced the first 2 tests without a problem but the last 2 were horrible esp. her fill in the blank test she won't prepare you for, tests are random and obscure. I would go for someone else if I had to do it again.

She teaches you think critically. She dosen't insist that you agree with what she says, but if you disagree, you should be prepared to have an argument. Very fair.

I took her class during the summer and it was great. She offered a different perspective on world history with which people may or may not have agreed. Students would get emotional on a regular basis due to her challenging their beliefs. Very fun course!

Is an easy grader and keeps the class interesting with the lectures although she has a tendency to promote Socialist viewpoints far too often. Don't use too many adverbs in writing papers for her, she's Russian and perhaps that's part of the English language that she never learned properly.

Easily the most terrible professor I've ever had. Very objective in grading tests. Vague grading policy. I pointed out a flaw in the system which made her angry but raised my grade by 14 POINTS! Steer clear of her online course. My grade did not reflect the effort I put into the class. Got a B and definitely deserved higher.

I also wanted to report her to the Dean. Very bitter and angry woman. You must show some form of Communist Russia favoritism and she might be a little nice...just a little. Too much work. Reduces your grade for stupid reasons. If you disagree with her for the slightest reason, be prepared to accept your fate, an F. nothing works; just too bitter!

Dr. V is special, I had a little bit of a hard time with her on the communication level. But I liked the class, I took it online and learned a lot. The work load is fair and tests pretty easy.

Dr. V supplies an interesting angle on post 1945 World History. This is not your typical boring class, it challenges you to think and learn things you may not have considered. It was online and requires special attention to course work. The workload level was directly related to the amount I learned. Worked hard learned a ton. I'd take Dr V again.

Dr. Vladimirov is one of my most favorite professors at KSU. I learned so much and really enjoyed going to class. You'll only have to write one 5-page paper, take a mid-term and a final (both are take home) and reviews after watching each of 4 films. My only warning would be to any males who take her class. BE A MAN!!!

I had to drop this class, but I experienced 4 weeks of this professor. From what I saw her lectures have nothing to do with what is on the exam, she criticizes students using cruel and judgmental language, and her exams are extremely tough. Take another professor.

I had the privilege of taking Dr. Vladimirov for 20th Century Russian history. This was a fun class in many aspects, and the class discussions were very interesting. By contrast, I had her for HIST 3305 in the same semester, and she was completely disorganized and didn't seem to care too much about anything going on in the class.

Dr. Vladimirov is one of the greatest professor at KSU. She expects students to know what they are talking about when they speak out in class so be prepared if you plan to participate. She will provide all the materials you need except the textbook. She has devoted her life to learning history, has several degrees, and deserves to be respected.

Be ready for a challenge. She makes you think about beliefs and your place in the world. What A high level class should be. The tests are essay but, you get the questions before hand to prepare. She pushes people beyond the comfort level. Wonderful experience!

Avoid her at all costs. Her tests are filled with questions that don't make sense, she is very pro communism and very anti American. I spent alot of effort in answering the questions which most of it was not found it textbook or notes but had to search online for it. SHE IS THE DEVIL!

I thought she was very interesting. Her tests are COMPLETELY unrelated to lecture but she posts the questions ahead of time AND you can send her your answers before the test is due and she gives you feedback. No reason not to get an A. She's is passionate about history and she wants you to THINK & RESEARCH not regurgitate your notes.

I had her for my summer semester for world history. If you're going to take her class, do it in the summer or maymester. Suuuuper easy class. I basically taught myself just by reading the book. She posts test questions online prior to the testing date & as long as you use it as a study guide, you'll ace every test. She was nice to me.

Dr. Vladimirov is an great professor! She can go on tangents sometimes, but most of the time they very interesting and thought-provoking. Her class has actually inspired me to study International Relations. She tries to get people to think broadly about the world and about history!

SUPER EASY!! Great teacher. She's fun to debate. You'll learn a lot from her. Tests are essays and they are easy A's or B's. I Got an A just using Wikipedia. Take her if you can because you are guaranteed an A or a B. BTW, Dr.V attiude is not that bad. Some students are just TOOOOO sensitive when she challenges their beliefs.

Hist1110 hybrid. Very very easy class. I only attended class once a week but I really look forward to her lectures. She is an interesting person but she is easy to upset but you'll be fine as long as you attend class and abide by her rules which are reasonable. There was little course work in the class and tests were very easy.

This was one of the easiest courses I have ever taken. You are only graded on four exams which she gives you the questions to a week in advance. All you have to do is answer the questions on the study guide and memorize them for the exam. However, she can get mad very easily but If you are looking for an easy A I would highly recommend her.

This prof. has a very bad attitude and is extremely unhelpful to students. She is also very lazy. The study guide is the test. She doesn't even take the time to rearrange the answers. The only work is posting pictures from the internet. I can appreciate an easy gen, ed class but I expect something for my tuition.

Awesome professor. Don't be afraid of her reputation for being mean. She is very understanding and kind. She has a good sense of humor and loves students. The only students who gets mad at are ones who are blatantly rude. She has no tolerance for dumb people. So unless you are dumb,she will like you just fine.Very easy grader. Most people make an A

This was an easy A. Post a picture and make two comments each week. Then 4 tests that are taken word for word from the study guide. She even gives you page numbers for filling in the study guide. Take her if you have the chance.

This was one of the worst experiences that I ever had. I was a divorced mother at the time, and she told me that I should consider making a choice between parenthood and being a student. I now have a Masters degree. She was very mean.

The easiest class I've ever taken. She gives you the entire test weeks before you take it. No reason you wouldnt get an A (unless you forget to do your weekly "picture" which is due on a Friday) Oops.. SO EASY!

Dr. V was an amazing history professor. I took this course over the summer and I couldn't have been happier. The discussions are easy and the tests aren't that hard either if you pay attention. Do the assignments on time and if you have questions talk to her. She is very nice and a great professor for this online course!

Literally one of the worst professors I've taken. She does not respect any of her students and will blatantly call you an idiot in front of the entire class. Not very clear on what she wants but if you don't guess what she wants she won't take your work. Doesn't like men at all and it shows. If she doesn't like you then she won't pass you.

She was great. Easiest A I've ever gotten. She gives an exact replica of the test a few weeks ahead, and she even tells you where to find each answer in the book. Only thing you have to do in this class is post a picture every week and comment on you classmates posts. TAKE HER!

This was the easiest A I have ever received. Her study guides are very similar to her tests and the answers can be easily found in the book or online. You also have to post a picture into a blog every week and respond to two classmates or else you miss out on points. I definitely recommend this class!!

Class is very easy, she gets her test questions from quizlet...However, she's not very understanding and leaves tests up for only 24hrs,(and usually when D2L maintenance is occuring) all other online teachers I've had leave tests up for a week. She's lazy and harsh.

This class was sooooooo easy. You just need to keep up on the weekly discussion of posting a "historical" picture and give a few sentences. Test are easy, and final you can go by the study guide or the same way you did the tests ;-D . Also, she can be really mean to you if you ask her dumb questions.

Dr Vs credentials are quite impressive and she would probably rather be researching than teaching, which may be why her contact with students is sparse. Course has an overwhelming amount of reading and video assignments. Graded assignments are weekly posts and four exams. She provides amazing study guides for the tests but no extra credit.

This class is super easy overall, but the tests are REALLY specific. The powerpoints and videos she assigns are not all that helpful, so to me it felt like busy work. The professor does not respond to emails, and she doesn't say what chapters are covered each week, so it's confusing and easy to miss information.

Let's see, Prof. V. is not very student friendly. She doesn't like for you to ask many questions, as I did. I asked because some things were unclear. Her expectations are pretty straightforward. There are 8 blog posts & 4 exams. You miss 1 post, you don't get credit for all 8. Period! The powerpoints don't help much for exams. I'm glad it's over!

Want to teach yourself history? Aside from grading there is no professor-student interaction. There are weekly HWs and discussion posts (even on breaks), and if you miss more than 2 your grade drops significantly. Exams have very specific questions about little details from the book, so doing the HWs isn't enough review for them, you'll read A LOT!

You have a weekly discussion post pertaining to that week's topic which takes like 5 minutes and all you have to do is comment on 2 other people's posts but if you miss 2 your grade will drop a lot. Dr. V is by far one of the hardest professors I have ever had. Expect to be challenged and have your knowledge picked apart publicly, and expect to do a lot of outside research to pass. That being said, I would absolutely take her class again! She challenges your way of thinking and expects the very best of your work. She makes you mature up a lot

Dr. V is a tough cookie, but she is one of the best professors I have taken! You need to be open minded to do well in this class as she will challenge EVERYTHING you've been taught. Do the work to the best of your ability and actually participate in class and you'll do fine! If you are sensitive, avoid this class, or else you'll have a bad time.

This prof speaks her mind and its not always nice so be prepared to let her remarks roll off your back. All exams are essays and the grading is very subjective. The assignments are vague, and she expects you to send a rough draft of your work so she can tell you if its right. It would be easier if she would just explain it clearly to begin with!

She's fabulous but so damn rude. She doesn't teach instead just rambles. 5% of her 'lecture' is actual material. I just did my own research for the papers so make sure you go into EXTREME detail. If it says 8-10 pgs do 11. Don't be a smart ass because she will ruin you. Says she'll fail you over 2 absences, I missed like 5 and still got an A.

The course is completely different from hist1110. The class is through cengage and your tests are taken through cengage. The questions are difficult even though it is open notes and open internet. You must read 4 chapters for each test and study thoroughly. Her outlines help but the questions are still difficult with 2 hours for 100 questions

You participate in a discussion every week and have 5 "missions" to do. There are 4 tests that are very very very hard. The questions are very picky. Read all the chapters and take notes on the outlines she gives you. Do extra credit if you want an A. THere is just so much material covered on each test, which makes it very difficult.

Overall an easy class and she is an easy grader for homework which consists of weekly blogs that can be done in 30ish minutes. Tests are hard... very specific, made a B average. HOWEVER.. the tests and "missions" open only on weekends and take the full two hours. As with any online class make sure you pay attention to deadlines.

Everything can be done in a day. You have to do a discussion post (literally like 2 sentences) about an "artifact" or historical figure from the chapters that week. The missions are easy, every few weeks, and the tests are on quizlet if you dig. I had a 100 all semester and she didn't make me take 1 test NOR the final. She rocks.

Very easy assignments. The textbook work can be done within an hour, and you just have to do a discussion post about something in the chapter. The tests are hard, nit-picky stuff from the textbooks. Use her outlines and you'll be fine.

In the beginning, this class is very confusing because people aren't really sure how it works. Just stick it out and it'll be fine. Every week you read a chapter, do a learnsmart, and a discussion post. Very easy class and interesting. Professor offers extra credit. 5 assignments throughout the semester. Tests are over weekends.

Taken as an online class. There was not a lot of communication to class, but she did respond quickly to emails and was very helpful. Have to check in every week for discussion posts that are mandatory. 3 tests and a final. Easy grader and all of the tests are on quizlet. Do the work and you'll get an A!

I took this class online, and it was super easy. The professor herself isn't that great because she is confusing and does not write using proper grammar and punctuation, which is irritating because she expected our writing to be free of errors. I would only take her again online.

Online class. Syllabus looked like it was written by a 5th grader, requires discussion posts. Assigned something due in 10 days, 3 days in changed the due date to 7 days from initial date. Didn't have to read anything in the book, the online questions were easily google/guessable.

Her emails can be kinda confusing, but I dont think she means to be harsh its hard to distinguish tone in email conversations only. A good class, good professor, and I would definitely take her again.

I took this class online. There was a few hours assigned each week. It was very manageable. It was due at the same time every week. There was one tricky part about it and that was the missions. You need to keep track of them from the syllabus and McGraw-Hill Online. The online textbook had many questions per chapter sometimes, but they were easy.

Very easy! Every week you do a connect to answer textbook questions, and you post something and comment on two posts. Textbook questions are easy as well. There were 3 tests and a final. Almost every test question can be found on quizlet. Some can be found on other sites. Tests and final are timed tho so pace yourself. Do the work and you will pass

I've been attending Kennesaw State University for the last four years, Prof. Vladimirov is easily the best professor I have had by far. She loves to share about her life in Soviet Russia and made every lecture easy to learn. All her tests, including the midterm and final, were online essays. One entertaining group project. I highly recommend her!

Worst professor I've ever had. Assigns the 5 ESSAY TESTS a few days before they're due, and expects perfection from them. Due dates are unclear, you have to search for them within the modules to be able to clearly tell when anything, including the many tests (yes amounting to like 20-25 ESSAYS per semester), is due. Avoid her.

This professor's class is an easy A as long as you do your assigned work and reading. We had to make blog posts every week, but they aren't difficult to complete and the professor is not a harsh grader at all. There was also weekly work on Connect but that isn't difficult either.

I enjoyed this class. It was a fairly easy A. You have a discussion post weekly which is typically an easy 100%. Weekly connect assignments and quizzes are every other week or so. Tests are pretty easy, no lockdown or webcam. I had a few technical difficulties during quizzes and she always helped me out. She's very nice and responds quickly.

If you are reading comments about quizlet, they have changed. She had us read the textbook and take the hard exams from the book, no actual teaching. 60 min, 100 questions. Overall this class was awful. DO NOT take this professor.

Worst course I have ever taken, even though I got an A. Avoid this woman at all costs. She reads your first 2 papers and, based on your opinion of the Soviet Union, develops an opinion of you. She then grades you based off of that opinion for the rest of the semester. She doesn't read your papers, she simply grades based off of that opinion of you.

Ignore the quizlet reviews, all exams are monitored and require reading. This is a grade you will have to work for. I am taking more than one summer class and cant handle the amount of work she requires. Dont take as a summer class, if you dont have a flexible schedule.

She's very biased when it comes to Soviet Union/ Communism. You have to make sure all of your papers are pro-Soviet Union and communism because if not, you will be getting a 20% with no feedback. Do not take her.

I took this class in the summer which I will admit was not the best idea. Pretty much you have a lot of reading and studying to do if you want to pass the tests that makeup the entire course. The discussion posts are a small part of her grading but easy to do. Personally, I would not recommend this class but it was not horrible.

She's very rude! I emailed her regarding the class and she responded with an attitude unnecessarily. The work is not specific and she basically expects you to read her mind. If you just need the class for a general education requirement, save yourself the trouble.

She didnt teach anything. We just used the textbook to read and then took the Exams generated by the textbook. Discussion Post and two responses every week. No time to answer questions on exam. On the last exam she gave us the wrong test but she only gave us twenty bonus points to makeup for it. I only got an A because of extra credit. very rude.

Whatever you do, do not take a class of Professor Vladimirov's. The material was not exceptionally difficult, but the structure of the class, as well as her lack of understanding and professionalism, caused me to get a C in the class. For reference, I got an A+ in every other class I took this semester.

I took this class many years ago, but was recently inspired to leave a review based on some stories that I heard from more recent students. This professor told me that I should choose between being a student or a mother. She was not very professional or supportive. I would not recommend this professor.

Professor Vladimirov managed to give my class a bad impression within the very first week of class, and this did not wear off. Her online class was extremely disorganized- it relied on lectures from an outdated & entirely different professor (from the early 2000s.) She also has terrible grammar issues yet grades us hard on such aspects. Quite rude.

The online course is very weird. only assignments are reading a chapter and discussion posts. Problem is there's no other way to gauge your knowledge other than on the test which she gives far too little time for. While asking precise questions you may not remember considering you read an entire chapter to learn.

There are no lectures; it is 100% from the book, and the tests come straight from that, so you have to read and understand the book. It is not super hard, just very time-consuming. I recommend taking the class with someone who lectures to better understand the information. If you're not a "self-learner," you'll definitely struggle with the tests.

Class work is easy, and all discussions are simple. The reason I'm eating her a one is because she can't grade to save her life. She'd have 0's in all semester and say she's fixing them and never change it until the last second. And even added 10 0's at the end of the semester dropping everyone's grade to failing until she was told to fix it. Bad.

Vladimirov's HIST1112 is a content-heavy course that requires serious self-discipline. While lectures are lacking, using unstuck study alongside the textbook can help you stay on top of the material. Prepare for detailed exams, but the discussion posts are manageable.

Final was insane. I studied for three weeks over the summer to try and keep my A. I have a photographic memory and literally memorized every single fact in every chapter. The test had nothing to do with any of the chapters and was about completely irrelevant information :/

Very very unhelpful. If your confused don't bother asking her for help as you will be even more confused then you were at the start. Very reading heavy class. No power points, no lectures. Videos and reading only. I will say at the very least the assignments do seem to correlate to the quiz and assignments due. She cares about what she's teaching

The only material is the textbook. Each week theres a Smartbook and a discussion post neither are hard just time consuming. 3 exams and a cumulative final. BEWARE, you can't go back and check your answers on tests because it grades you before you go to the next question. No camera but there is a lockdown browser. Emailing her for help is pointless
