I like her teaching styles too and really like practice session. She is very patient and helpful.
We kind of clashed but she is an easy teacher although she grades hard. Her personality changes everyday She favors some students over others. Her teaching teqniques are not very clear, But She is kind of easy going.
She is a very kind and caring person. She really helped me improve my speech and is very encouraging in a supportive way.
This is one of the nicest teacher I"ve ever had. She is extremely helpful and caring. She will do anything to help you out if you are serious about her class. I still hate the thought of public speaking but she is a very supportive teacher
Excellent teacher. Very easy going and grades very well. Lots of extra credit stuff and stays after class in case you need help. I would highly recommend this teacher. One of the nicest people I have ever met.
you know, it was easy...i cant really see why anyone would get anything lower than a C. You can sure enough coast and do the speeches and still get a B.
EASY EASY EASY AND EXCELLENT TEACHER
Great class! She really helps to bring the class together as a whole. I normally hate group work but since she makes you get to know one another so much it was actually kind of fun to do the group work. She grades in a way I feel more teachers should its not on if you memorize the reading material, but it’s on proving the skills you learn in class.
Very nice teacher, just her English is hard to udersatand(indian accent),class is boring but if you do hw it is easy to pass.
She is an easy friendly and helpful person who is genuine and wants to help you. TAke her class. I recommend it.
when she talks she ALWAYS pauses, and she can't even spell that well. When she leaves comments on your essays, you can't read her writing and she doesn't always make sense. Dont get me wrong, she is a very nice lady, just a little frustrating at times. I would advise to try to not have her, but like I said she is really nice and all she really want
Her class was hella funny..she can be hard to understand at times but she's great..I really recommend taking her class! easy A
very helpful in the class but sometimes rude to students.... she gives us a lot of homeworks as if that her class is the only class you're taking. she's very hard to understand especially her indian accent.....if you're lazy to do a lot of essays.... don't take this professor....
you need to work hard but I liked her class, I learned a lot.
this teacher is hard to understand and unlike the other comments on here, her grading scale is whack. there isn't much homework which is good but she's like the type where you'll never get full points on homework or essays, and since there not much work, you're more likely to get a lower grade. she's also rude and if she doen't like you, ur screwed
She is strict but she wants you to do well. she calls and takes time to ask you why you didnt come and all that...sometimes speaks fast but will explain again if you ask nice. good
I recommend this class 2 anyone who hate giving speeches cuz she'll help u overcome it.just attend her class everyday and show her that u are trying.my grades were all average but she always manage to round it off to sometimes an "A" She values listening when she is talking. she gives xtra credit 2.Easy "A" if u show u r willing 2 learn.
i think she was really confusing and she would get mad if you didnt understand her. but shes easy. just do the work and u will pass. its a pass/no pass class
For all of those that have read the bad ratings on this teacher, know this, they all most likely dropped the class before any real assignments. Don't listen to them. This teacher is great. If you plan on just sitting back then this is not the class for you. If you want to actually learn, then this is the class. Just really "TRY" and you'll pass.
i was in the monday, tues, wedneday, thursday class. at 730am insane i know. waking up was more hard than the class. but eventually you get used to it. she is a great teacher but she makes you work for a good grade. i got the A but worked my ass for it.good luck
i hella liked her, she is really helpful and straight forward though at times confusing but overall worth all the effort, highly recommend...just do ur work... respond and answer in class and you will be fine
She is very informed, but I believe that due to her age she lacks the maturity that is needed for a speech and communications class. She is quick to anger over very insignificant things, and will blame you for a bad day if for some reason you have upset her. But on a high note, you do learn alot, and she is flexiable with grading.
I really enjoyed her class and she is very well informed. Last two comments sounded like someone did not like their grades. If you are still in junior college after two years and still taking beginning courses, YOU HAVE SOME ISSUES. Give the teacher a break. She is there to help us. I really enjoyed her and recommend her highly.
Well, she helped me a lot with speech anxiety and u end up learning a lot. she is kind and considerate if you have a situation at home. she will take time in office hr with you and run things with u as many times u want. she is tough but reasonable and makes u learn. work average hard and u will get an A. Knows her stuff.
she may seems very mean and strict but she is real cool and understanding. She helped alot of people in my class overcome their fears of public speaking and she really care about her students. One of the best at the de anza but you have to first get pass her "mean impression" and do stick around. You will enjoys her class. Take it from me An Ngo.
she is awesome. kind and helpful, but makes you work your butt off.:)
OMG.....HELLA EASY TEACHER AS LONG U DON'T ANNOY HER AND TALK AND TURN EVERYTHIN IN ON TIME!!!
......her readings are really hard......but she teaches u alot that is needed for 1A

She is a great teacher. I just had her over summer quarter and eventhough it was a very short time (6 weeks) I learned alot. Public speaking is very hard for some people but she helps you conquer your fears. Easy class if you attend and pay attention. If you have the chance to take her, DO IT! She is amazing :)
caring teacher. she's what a teacher should be. one of the best teachers i've had in my life. i overcame my fear of public speaking
She's outstanding. She's got some insane amount of degrees and is unexpectedly down to earth. Go to class, be on time, take notes, do the work. If I can get an A, anyone can.
Took her online Jour class.Pretty easy, weekly assigned quizzes and discussion posts.A few essay-type papers. She is the type that doesn't like to give A's.I found that she was always picking apart my work, always trying to find something wrong. This was a bit annoying.I did all the extra credit, and she only gave me partial credit for completing it.
I hate speech. But prof was very open to letting you choose topics you were passionate about. Gives helpful feedback and is willing to look over things before you present. Tough grader on participation (will not just hand it to you for showing up). Do the extra credit! Quizzes on reading material.
i think she is very helpful and a great teacher, she gives u a lot of essay to do so if u are lazy, dont take her class or u end up with a B. Easy A for hard-working people.
Really cool teacher. Shes always down to hear what you have to say ad isnt afriad to tell you her honest opinion. Just show up ad do the work which isnt hard and yull get an A. Highly recomended
Great teacher, as long as you are a hard worker and pick interesting topics for your speech. As long as you show up and at least care a little, it's an easy A.
Kaur is a wonderful teacher! She is always willing to listen to students and the workload is fairly easy if you put in the effort. There are writing assignments and speeches are more self-guided because you can choose what YOU want to do speeches about. Kaur knows about a lot more social and global issues that you would think she does. Also honest!
She's a really good professor, To me she was by far one of the best I had in De Anza. She cared for her students and really wanted them to do well She was not only helpful during assignments, but also on unrelated topics. Class was tough but I learned a lot
Ms. Kaur is a very nice and helpful young lady. She is extremely clear in her lectures and assignments. she is willing to hear u and give advice. she made speech fun and interesting.
Going into this class, I was terrified of public speaking. But this class was really fun! I actually wanted to go to class everyday and was excited to speak in front of the class. The work load isn't too demanding. As long as you show up to class and do the work on time, you'll get a good grade.
great class. the nervousness you get before the speech is probably the worst its gonna get, but its all worth it in the end. be prepared to buy a new ink cartridge for this class cause she makes you print out EVERYTHING.
I ENJOY HER RANDOM EXERCISES FOR RELAXING BEFORE AND DURING SPEECHED. SHE CAN BE A BIT HARSH AND SEEMS TO ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING WRONG WITH EVERYTHING NO MATTER HOW GREAT EVERYONE ELSE THINKS YOU DID. SHE HAS ALOT OF HOMEWORK. SO IF YOUR PLANNING ON TAKING ONE OF HER CLASSES MAKE SHURE YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME ON YOUR HANDS. HER FEEDBACK IS OFTEN NEG
One of the best teachers at De Anza. I got lots of help from her during office hour. She went out of her way to help us. Classes are fun and you actually learn. I hate public speaking but this class made a huge improvement in my confidence. Awesome instructor. A++
GREAT professor, awesome and helpful, Uses textbooks all the time, refers to readings, so it'd be helpful to read. Cuts slack to those who truly deserve it, and she's extremely understanding. Hated speaking/working with groups, and now I can tolerate it. RECOMMEND HER!!!!
Awesome teacher. She's very straight forward and will tell you "what's up". She gives a fair amount of assignments but they are not hard (they're typically response papers). Exams are super easy if you do the reading. Have fun with the projects! Bring your brain and passion to class-- you won't regret it.
Great teacher, interesting speech topics, constructive criticism. Grades hard towards the beg. but becomes easier towards the end. Oh yeah do well on the online quiz's super easy points(u actually need to read a little)& be prepared to print like crazy. Need lots of ink lol. Overall deff. recommend her and the class! :)
The first speech is the hardest, but after that, you can learn from your mistakes. Writing the speech is easy because they are similar to high school essays. If you want a good grade, you need at least 4 days of practice. If the class uses Catalyst, check it regularly because the teacher might put early feedback on your outline before the speech.
She is the best!!
Professor Kaur is the best speech professor I ever had. You will be fully equipped with the tools to improve on your communications skills. You will learn the basic fundamentals of becoming a great speaker. Essentially, you will be inspired by her morals and her principles. Professor Kaur is truly an admirable guidance. Highly recommended.
I thought I wasn't going to get an A in this class because her grading was so hard! But I guess that's because I was very shy for a lot of my speeches. BUT... being a good writer, I got an A after all. :-) SO TO ALL THOSE SHY KIDS out there who dread public speaking, you'll be fine in this class.
Shagun is a great teacher. She may come across as sort of rude but she has your best interest in mind and you will definitely be a much better speaker by the end of the quarter. This class is no easy A but the effort you put in will be rewarded, in more ways than a final grade.
I got a A-. The hardest ever class I ever took. Her class made me a better speaker and now I am very confident on making presentations for other classes. she is not the person to walk on. she will shoot you down...she just wants the best for you. Dont try to be a smart ass because she would tell you off. LOL. So much work to do though. But damn.
Speech is not my fav subject. first I thought she would be a really cool teacher, but as the weeks passed on i realized how rude she is to students. Sometimes she only criticizes you instead of acknowledging your strengths. The speeches are not that hard to do, be careful with group and persuasive speech, they are the hardest.wish i had some1 else
First off I had the Hybrid class with Shagun. So the quiz we had were easy as pie because its online and open book. 10 questions 1 hour time limit. But the way she graded and reviewed our speeches made it impossible to get an A. No matter what something "needed work." Wonderful teacher but do all the work to get just an A.
Class turned out to be very enjoyable. All of her tests are done online (half s/a and m/p). All answers are in reading. She is an easy B, but an A takes effort and you must do all work. It's rare for you to get a perfect critique from her because she looks for specifics but relax, it barely affects your grade and it's actually quite helpful.
Her feedback throughout the quarter was awesome. I have never liked public speaking but she made it easier. The class can be hard if you don't do your assignments on time, otherwise it is an easy B+ or A-. Highly recommended. Btw, I never found her to be rude. She was actually quite pleasant.
It's not hard to get an A in the class if you put in the effort. She will push you and you'll definitely improve. However, she can come off as rude. She's not afraid to tell you off and she critiques you (sometimes harshly) in front of everyone. For that reason, I wouldn't take the class. But if you want to be a better speaker, then take it.
Shagun is very to the point. She is very supportive for those of you who hate speech. She goes easy on you, and always finds something you did well on and something to work on. She's funny and relates well to students.
I had her a year ago and it was hard but she will have u improve your communication on not being so nervous and embarrass to speak infront of people. Ever since I attend that class I became different and a better person on how to show who I am by speaking out. I loved her class
One of the better professors I have ever had. She totally goes out of her way to help. Truly cares for her student. My major is communications and I am planning to take her Spch-10 class in the next quarter.. Great instructor.
Expect a lot of work in this subject! Non-native English speakers might be very apprehensive at first about giving a speech but thankfully, she is reasonable. Turn everything on time, be prepared and practice your speeches and you'll do fine.
Do your work on time and you will have not any problem in her class.
I didn't like at her at first because she seemed too outspoken but very helpful and nice! Goes above and beyond. Helped make speech a lot easier for me. You get an A as long as you do the work even if you suck at speaking. Attendance is crucial but it is speech class. Take her if you want a good speech teacher. Loved class was always excited to go.
Shagun is awesome. Seriously. She really pushed me to improve and brought the class together. Students who are scared should take her class in a heartbeat. Quizzes are through Catalyst, and based on the book. Her biggest thing is clear communication, and directness. When she asks a question, ANSWER. Speak up and participate. It's a Speech class!
She is a very good teacher, and I am one hundred precent positive your skills will improve by the end of the semester. However, you have to show up, work hard, and practice. Do not test her patience, she expects you to do what she tells you. Overall, pretty good, but you have to put in the effort.
This teacher will bust you to be your best.she one of those hard teachers that are hard because she actually want the students to learn something.she is super critical on delivery of speech.for a speech class, theres a lot of writing.so, bring your english 1a game.
Contrary to other reviews, Shagun is not a hard teacher. She requires you to show up, put forth effort, and be a positive contribution in class. That's it. She grades fairly easily, unless you want an A+. Otherwise she's a great professor. I highly recommend taking a class from her!
One of the few teachers in my life that really cares about the success of their students. She comes off mean and strict but once you see past it, you have the best teacher around. Even if you aren't good at public speaking she'll grade you on improvement, so always try your best. Best professor I've had a De Anza.
Shagun is really a nice instructor. She will always help you. She always clear everything needed for speech before the time so we can get time to concentrate on those points. I learned a lot from her. She is very well organized for her instructions needed for speech. I earned a lot of confidence because of her class. You should take her class.
Shagun is really a nice instructor. She clears everything needed for speech before the time so we can get time to concentrate on those points. I learned a lot from her. She is very well organized for her instructions needed for speech. I earned a lot of confidence because of her class. You should take her class.
She's a great professor, she helps you along the way if you get confused or stuck. She's very critical and harsh on you as she wants you to go above and beyond and grasp a better understanding. This class felt more individual rather than as a group because you really only had one group speech while the rest were individual.
she talks way to fast with here accent and you barely keep up with her and what she wants us to do. shes great its just that one problem i have with her.
Kaur is the hardest speech teacher in De Anza. She will make you do your best in that class. She's hilarious, critical, and on my top 3 of professors. Take her, you'll actually learn something. Here's some tips: - Attend class - Go first on speeches - If you're late, DO NOT WALK IN WHEN SOMEONE'S DOING A SPEECH.
Would not recommend taking this teacher. Controlling and very critical. She was nice one day and not so the next. I don't know, I didn't have a very good experience.
Don't expect an easy A, but you learn a lot. You get credit from speeches, a group project, online discussions, response papers, and some extra credit. She also allows you to redomake up any speeches. Though it was tough and I'm not the best public speaker, I thoroughly enjoyed the class.
Shagun hates it when you call her "Professor Kaur" so get used to calling this teacher by her first name. Shagun seems scary at first but she is really nice and helpful. Prepare for your speeches and she will appreciate your growth. She doesn't strive for perfection, just dedication. Take this class if you are scared about public speaking.
I took her over the summer so the class was extra fast! She is a realist and her tone maybe a bit overwhelming BUT she honestly wants you to pass : 23 group speeches and 2indiviual speeches. Not too bad( sounds worse than it actually is) a couple quizzes online( book is really cheap too) Final is a group speech
I loved taking Shagun's class. It was a hybrid class, so participation was crucial. She was very clear and amazing.
She was such an amazing professor. Her lectures were entertaining and I really learned something while I was there. The speeches really aren't that difficult and she isn't that tough of a grader. Just show up to class, do all the work and you'll pass.
Didn't have fun taking her class.
sure, she can be rude and curt but she helped me get over my fear of speaking to large crowds. she gave us some good advice on job interviews and helped us become better debaters. i also made a lot of good friends in her class. i will say that this class is not for really sensitive or really nervous people.
Not an easy class but a really great class. Shagun does a great deal to get past the everyday stuff that stands in the way of powerful communication, almost like a therapist. Her class was very empowering and helped unify the students to work together well. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
Shagun is an awesome teacher. I was super anxious about taking a speech class and thought I would absolutely hate it. Turned out to be one of the best classes I have taken. She really tries to help people feel comfortable and get over the fears of public speaking. She is very clear in what she expects and gives great feedback.
Most amazing instructor at DeAnza. Inspires students to do their best. Pre-class exercises are awesome. Takes away all the stress. I highly recommend her. I wish she was teaching other speech classes.
Easy A. Show up to class, participate (it is a speech class after all), and most importantly, follow instructions. If you give her what she asks for, it's an easy A. Open book online Quizzes from the comfort of your own home!
Shagun is a great professor. I recommend her. Be prepared to do some reading and writing for that class. It's not a lot, but If you want an A, it's mandatory you do that. The only thing I didn't like was that I felt my opinions were not respected. She brought my grade down for saying something that was apparently hurtful and offensive to others.
Shagun is a good professor in that she teaches the material well. But she doesn't seem to respect her students very much as she regularly reminds them how much more superior she is as a person, all the while implying that they are all lazy and incapable. She will also come to class angry about a personal problem and take it out on her students.
Shagun is a very good teacher, however the work load and the hard grading she has for the speeches makes it seem like you're giving a speech infront of all of America. Doesn't really warn you if there's something coming up, expects you know the syllabus by heart.
I will not recommend to take this course. She is very controlling and critical, she strongly says her subjective opinion and views to students. Her feeling is also unpredictable, someday she is nice but someday she is so mean.
I was very much looking forward to talking this class however my experience wasn't so amazing. Her lectures are very straight forward and all quizzes are through Catalyst. Has a straight forward personality that did not find adequate for a teacher.
She's is great. I took her this last quarter dreading having to take a speech class, and it ended up being my favorite class. Her lectures are kind of long, but they're also interesting. She let's you be pretty creative with your speeches, which is really cool, and she gives really good feedback. Because of her class, I am a much better speaker :)
Very helpful! Definitely helped me improve my speech. She's really funny too! Makes class fun. and she gives lots of extra credit! I hightly recommend her!
Great professor, learned a lot in this class about speech tactics and how to come up with speeches. Professor Shagun is extremely easy to get along with and she is also blunt. Overall great class.
Professor Kaur is a great speaker, but I can't recommend her as a speech professor. Not nearly as tolerant of students as I would hope. I feel she crosses the line with criticism to students. You may learn how to speak better with Kaur, but she is not the best instructor, my personal opinion.
She is a good teacher, but sometimes she becomes so tough when you ask her. I got a good grade with her she is nice with the friendly people.
Kaur doesn't take anyones BS. Just don't ever slack in her class and you'll be fine. I agree that many times she definitely crosses the line when it comes to criticism, but if you don't get hurt easily her criticism genuinely helps. If you are looking for a challenge and want to learn, take here class. Lots of extra cred opportunities
She's one of the head of the department, sorta. She's cool, sometimes chill. She knows the pace well. Everyone gives feedback in class for each speech. Gives extra credit to make everyone get an A++++, or at least try. Gives breathing exercise, may not cut you some slack but its just overall a chill class.
Teaches you a lot of skills you can use in life
It's hard to memorize the speeches but she was still awesome. Lots of work tho.
She definitely knows what she's doing. However, she smells fear so try to be calm before your speech. Work is moderate but will help you for this class.
GREAT TEACHER. She's has a tough love thing going for her and although she may seem mean at first, she really cares about her students. In this class, I cherished the knowledge I obtained over the grade. First few speeches she gives you good feedback and how to improve. Barely any tests. Teaches you how to get over your fear of speaking.
Wonderful instructors. She is caring and goes out of her way to help students. I highly recommend her. She really prepares you for transferring to Universities.
Amazing professor she gives good feedback, I would honestly retake her again. Theres a lot of quizzes but I didnt really mind it. Shes funny and tough which I really like. Also you learn a lot and her speeches are fun and scary at the same time
Shagun is a really good teacher and not a hard grader at all. The only thing she does not like students to do is to pull out their mobile phones during lectures. She totally hates that! Sometimes she acts like so authoritative and it was pissing me off but I did not take it too personal. Overall, she is a good teacher and I would recommend!
Ms Kaur is a good proffesser and she makes you work but at the end it will be worth it because in the real world your going to have to hustle like she does. What a good example she is. Good riddance
Shagun is tough, no-nonsense, and authoritative. And I love her. She really wants you to succeed and won't take sh*t if she thinks you're not trying. Nothing is free in her class--she makes you work for it. Do the reading, don't use an APA generator, and read EVERYTHING she posts on canvas. It helps.
Professor Kaur is one of the toughest and scariest instructors I've ever had. Despite this, she is also one of the most caring, passionate, and intelligent teachers I've ever encountered. If you prove that you genuinely care about the class and are trying, she will give you a good grade. If you take COMM 1 at De Anza in the summer, it will go QUICK
She has high standards and requires her students to have it as well. If you're looking to improve on your speech, she's worth it. If you want an easy A, she's not for you. There's a lot of reading, video watching, practicing... a fair amount of time is required. She seems like she has no time for BS but is lenient when necessary. Really fierce.
contracted COVID and was hospitalized. docked me points for late work submitted after being sick. would not let me make up certain assignments hence me failing the class. she was not fair and did not make an exception during a pandemic. would not recommend this teacher whatsoever
This was the worst class I have ever taken at De Anza. Her grading criteria were extremely vague and it seemed impossible to ever get an A on assignments. Her feedback was demoralizing at best. I came into this class feeling confident about public speaking and am leaving hating it.
Tons of extra credit. Absolutely wonderful personality. Wants you to learn and appreciate the material. Genuinely incredibly useful subject.
Its ironic that this class was an Effective Organizational Communications class and yet this was one of my most hectic and disorganized classes. When there are students who let her know that something isnt working, shes condescending and doesnt ever take the blame. Her instructions contradict one another/have incorrect wording. Sucks :-(
I took her public speaking course online and it was pretty difficult. If you want an easy A, her class is definitely not for you. After speeches, she will criticize you and sometimes it's pretty harsh. If you are planning on taking her class, expect to do a lot of work if you want a good grade.
She is so harsh that you forgot what you were gonna speak due to nervousness.
Prof Shagun is DIFFICULT. I did well in this class, but she didn't make her online class any easier for the pandemic. If anything, it was HARDER. There were 2 large group projects and every person in my group was always confused about group project guidelines. I think she tries hard to get respect, but instead, everyone resents her.
I am not very good a public speaking. Even though the class was online, I still got nervous. I met Ms. Kaur during office hours and she gave me amazing tips for my next speech. She spent time showing me how to prepare for a speech. She may come across as a very tough teacher, but she truly cares about her students. Gave us ton of extra credit.
She is the best teacher and a wonderful personality. Not much homework and gives amazing grades. Very easy to pass her class. Lots of extra credit. The only thing she needs is to respect and appreciate the materials in the course.
Seems nice but So. Much. Busy. Work. Two big group projects for the course which is pretty excessive, one is enough.
Very good for grading, but at the same time is tough. Projects require loads of time and this class is a lot on it's own. Be sure to make a lot of free time for this class.
Kaur is BY FAR the worst professor I've had at De Anza. At first she seems nice and understanding, but the later we got in the quarter the more cruel and unforgiving she gets. She will disrespect students to their face, and constantly expect perfection. By the end of the quarter the entire class was fed up her. Terrible! Stay away!
She is a very nice teacher. Currently taking her class, but she has a great attitude on her and really cares about her students. She'll work with you, based on what you need and if there are any circumstances she will help you with your needs on extensions, etc. Please take her!!! Not a difficult class as long as you read, and actually prepare.
She is strict and not afraid to take off points if she doesn't like you. If you actually listen to her guidelines, are generally well-behaved in class, and implement everything she says, then you can get a good grade. If you want to slack off at all, this isn't the class for you because she takes it very seriously.
just put in the work, the classes are easy-going, and it is a wonderful environment.
Coursework is equal to a level 200 course. Tons of writing and average amount of reading. Group project was a demanding lift but doable. Mock interview, resume and cover letter writing. I write very well but this class pushed my limits. Keep pace, follow instructions carefully, and be ready to learn. Professor does not hand out As easily.
No just absolutely no one of the mediocre classes I have taken in this school, just be careful everyone the teacher has an attitude and the WORST if you mess up or make a mistake on anything in this class or assignments just a heads up.
Took her for Communications One and it was not hard at all, she's super nice and caring and all the tests are online, open note, with unlimited times. Just write the speeches and you'll get an A.
This is late but I took her during the Winter Quarter and she is arguably one of the best teachers I had here at De Anza. I struggled badly with one of the speeches and she gave me great advice that helped me prepare for the big speeches at the end. Overall, not a lot of HW but weekly quizzes are easy to do if you read the book She provides.
Be ready to work hard in this class - there's a lot of writing and group projects that can be demanding. The professor has high standards, but if you engage with the material and use helpful study tools like Unstuck study, you can succeed. Overall a challenging yet rewarding experience.
The professor was rude and rigid. Big ego
Referred to herself as "Draconian." Unclear, rigid, and doesn't care about the success of her students. All about her ego. Submit to her authority or get a bad grade. Ability to speak in public is irrelevant; only cares if you follow her wooden leadership. > 1/2 dropped the class. Unintelligent. Mean. Proud. Bitter. Worst teacher I've ever had.
She is an amazing teacher. Doesn't make the subject appear as a burden. Keeps class simple chill, and loving.
The lectures were amazing and engaging. She can speak for hours about Communication without having to look at anything but have a normal conversation with you. She is very knowledgeable.
Being an organizational communications class, it definitely preaches what it stands for. You learn a great deal about organization especially when there is a group project. Be aware that being a full-time employee working 40 hrs. a week combats the minutes you'll have to compromise when taking this class as the professor works around her schedule.
