Took him for intermediate algebra. Funny and passionate on his teaching.Prof.Saminejad gives enough review sheets and homeworks for students to understand the materials. His instructions are clear and tests are not that difficult. If you want a decent grade, take him:)
I am a very poor at math although I try very hard. He is very serious about this subject because he wants all his students to succeed. If you are lazy and do not want to learn, then do not take this class and mess it up for the rest of us who do enjoy his lessons. Extremely fair and no surprises. Reading text unnecessary and he says so. Just notes
I was a little skeptical taking his class because he only had one review but he is a very good teacher. He is very clear, he explains everything very well, i am glad i took him. He doesn't require the text book, he doesn't make the homework mandatory. I enjoy his class. Tests are straight forward..no surprises. Take HIM!
he's awesome. Such a funny guy, talks loud so you don't daze off and really makes you learn but is such a cool teacher. Keeps everyone into it and makes you feel comfortable. He loves Football! easy to talk too and is one of the few teachers I've had that makes sure that everyone understands the lesson before he moves on. Great teacher. I recommend
He is one of the best assets at BCC. Truly remarkable and, more than anything, a very empathetic instructor. He well understands the absurdity of our educational officialdom planning and, thus, helps considerably to get over this "mandatory" prerequisite. More than fair amount of work, great and relaxed atmosphere and lots of fun. Bravo!
The most amazing teacher at BCC, he is a perfect example of all that a professor should be. You do not need the textbook first professor i had which was not advertising for the school bookstore like the department usually has them do. He gives you the review pages after every chapter do it then he reviews before the test. that is the test basiclly
AMAZING professor. I'm taking him right now and he makes math enjoyable! Textbook is NOT required but you do need a code for an online website for homework. The online homework is VERY useful and worth it. He's loud so you pay attention and he's one of the few professors that really care about the students and whether they are successful. TAKE HIM!
I honestly haven't used this website for a long time until I found a professor worth writing about; Mr. Saminejad. I took stats before with Lerer and professor Saminejad is by far more better than her in every category. He is clear, funny, respectful and makes learning easy. I suggest ANYONE that is taking math, to take it with him, esp. stats.
Awesome professor. Very clear with his teaching, he wants to make sure everyone understands the material. He cracks jokes here and there he's super nice and funny and LOUD so you'll be awake during his class! One of the best professors I had at bergen take him !!
He's one of the best teachers I've ever had. Keeps the information clear and concise and really wants his students to succeed. I hate math and took him for stat and ended up loving the class. He's one of BCC's best assets. Take him!
He is AWESOME… explains things to make sure you understand. This class is NOT easy and I am NOT a math person attendance is a must you miss a class and you WILL be lost. He is available before his classes for help. 4 homework assignments 4 exams Study the material ask questions and you should not have a problem in his class.. he is NOT boring…
He's an amazing professor! He's always there when you need help, he's a fair grader, extremely funny, and he gets really into teaching! There are 4 homework assignments and 4 tests!
He is THE BEST teacher! I am not the best with math but he makes it easy! He cares! I highly recommend him. Take him you won't regret it! Go to class, do the hw, pay attention and you'll pass.
Pay Attention easy A
What is most awesome to me about this class is how Prof. Saminejad adjusts his teaching skills according to the level of his students, while still providing a challenge to the more advanced. He truly loves Math AND teaching. You get what you invest in his class and he grades accordingly while, at the same time, has a genuine concern for students.
TAKE HIM. I went to BCC over the summer as a visiting student from NJIT and I learned more with him than I did at NJIT. He's also willing to work withhelp students. He's so chill, helps students understand, and is entertaining. Pay attention, do your homework, and practice the work he gives, and you should get an A. He's the man.
he is a very nice man always willing to help students pass. I'm not good at math and I managed to get very good grades in his class. He breaks everything down to the point where you understand how to use the formulas, etc. He's also pretty funny!
He's an awesome Statistics professor!!! He's funny & good at showing you how to solve the math problem. I feel either you are a good math teacher or you are a bad one and he's definitely good. 4 exams, some homework & 5 quizzes. Great class & definitely fun since I never learned statistics before. Pay attention and don't miss class! TAKE HIM!
AWESOME! He's funny and teaches very well. Don't miss class because then you'll be lost the next class. He has office hours if you need extra help.
Great professor, loves math, loves teaching math, and makes math fun. Took statistics , made it a peace of cake, pay attention, do homework, (4) and you will pass with an A
Took precalc with him after a long layoff from math. Amazing professor. High Energy. Explains everything clearly. SHOW UP, do the homework. No tricky exams. Example problems on the test are directly from notes and homework. Makes LIFE so simple for us. Barely used textbook. You must pay attention and put in the work. Still an easy class though.
I took Calc with a different professor at BCC and didn't do so well, I was devastated because I really enjoy math. I decided to retake it again over the summer with Prof. Saminejad and I am 100% happy that I did. He explains everything perfectly and doesn't move on until everyone understands. He truly cares about his students & wants you to pass.
Professor Saminejad is simply amazing. He is crystal clear with the materials he teaches and makes sure that everyone understands. There is no surprise problems in his tests or quizzes. Guaranteed A if you pay attention in class and do the work.
Good guy, took for Calc 1 and he was very helpful. You gotta work hard, but you'll learn a lot and be fully prepared for calc 2. Very helpful throughout the summer session.
Prof. Saminejad is extremely passionate about math. The material is boring in itself but he makes it much more tolerable. He is really funny and doesn't take himself too seriously. He will go out of his way to help you understand. However, math is math, so if you don't study don't expect to pass. He tells you this too. Just study and you'll pass
I took calculus with him over the summer and it was such an uplifting experience because I took this class with a different professor and had to drop it because I was failing. He explains everything so clearly and wants everyone to pass. He is a very fair grader; gives plenty of partial credit. Best calc professor you will ever take!
Took Calculus I and got an A, you must work hard, but he will work very hard for you to understand the concepts. At first, I thought it was very difficult, but he breaks it down so you can be prepared for Calc 2. The homework is in relation to the exam, so do the homework and understand it before the exam.
Professor Saminejad was awesome! Show up to class, take notes, and do your hw.. you should pass with flying colors! great lecturer also
HIS CLASS WAS AWESOME!! i hate math failed each year of high school but got an A in his statistics class! I got 100 on first 2 tests and above 95's in the other 2. there is a homework assignment before each test which is harder than the tests so dont worry if you cant do the homework because he gives the answers to the homework and goes over it.
Professor S is amazing! I was dreading the fact that I would have to take statistics, since I'm awful at math. He made this class painless and I couldn't be more thankful! There are 4 tests and 1 homework assignment before each test. He also posts the notes on Moodle. If you pay attention and do the homework, you'll definitely pass the tests.
Professor Saminejad is a wonderful teacher. I enjoyed his classes so much. His lectures are thorough, animated and interactive. He is the kind of teacher who loves to see his students succeed. And he is also a very kind, good person in general. Thank you Professor Saminejad!!! :) :) :) :)
I took him for Statistics I. First math class that I EVER enjoyed in my life. I learned a lot. His lectures are clear and concise. If you don't pass when you take him it's on you.
He is really a good professor!! I had him twice and I decided to take all the math classes with him.. he is very helpful and funny which makes you really enjoy and like his class. That's the only class I used to go because I love the professor!!!!! 3 to 4 exams but all the exams come from the homework if you did the homework don't worry! take him!!
LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! Honestly Calc 2 is suppose to be one of the hardest maths but honestly the way he explains it is honestly inspirational and very easy to follow. Wish i went to BCC just so i can take this professor. TAKE HIM!
Best professor I had so far, explains topics very good and gives so many examples that you won't have to dedicate this hours by your own. Just keep up with the homework, specially because that's what he asks in the exams. Besides that, he is hilarious and the class will be more than bearable
Prof Saminejad is easily the best professor I've had pleasure to learn from. He is super inspirational and patient with those who want to learn. Homework is easy if you keep track of what he talks about in class. Clear classwork notes definitely help! I wish I could take every other math course with him. Definitely recommend!
This class is hard, but chances are if you're in Calc II you're a math major or engineer, so it's expected. That being said he's a decent professor. Exams are hard but doable if you study and put the time in and study the hw.
Definitely take this professor, you won't regret it. He gives you everything you need to know for every test. There are a couple of graded homework assignments. Gives extra credit on tests. Really likes math, very funny!
EXAMS ARE EVERYTHING. I failed all the exams except for one, which was a C- and he gave me a C for the class. I did try. He does care, will absolutely work with you. Statistics sucks anywhere but he makes the class bearable, explains everything very clearly and is the best stats prof you'll ever find.. his class is passable..
Hilarious professor and makes stats really easy. Exams are basically the homework so if you do well on those the exams will be a breeze. Don't buy the textbook, just go to the library and take a picture of it.
Prof. Saminejad is the best math professor in bcc by a mile. I've always been a C-D student in math and dreaded taking stats. Prof. Saminejad understands this class is requirement for most who take it, and makes understandable to anyone. Theirs 4 tests which equte to 80% percent of your grade and the rest is 4 hw's, 1 before each exam, and project
There is no easy A math class, especially Calc so do not think that he is easy because he has a 4.7 rate. He is the best Math professor in BCC. i took him for precalc and calc 1. His lectures are very clear and he will teach you everything that you need to get an A on his course. Tests may be hard but doable if you put the effort.
Precalc or math in general is hard for me, but Prof. Saminejad made this class a little easier/fun to understand. He grades the hw and takes points off your grade if you miss class. Tests are EXACTLY like the hw, no surprise questions. He knows math isn't everyone's strength so he gives problems that are straight to the point, no trick questions
Took him for precalc. You'll regret not taking him. Easily the best professor I've had for math.
Best professor! Took his stats class and love stats now. Explains everything so simple and gets strait to the point. Only 4 H.W's that are done right before each test, which is great cause its a great way to studying. All his tests are similar to the H.W. I would definitely take him again. Never be absent or late cause you'd just be confused!
i love proff Saminejad, just do the homework, and make sure to study for the homework before each test, you will pass this course with A,B easy
Very well organized, clear, and to the point. The lectures and notes are conveyed in an effective manor and he gives plenty of examples. The homework is just as effective as it enforces what was taught. The exams have no surprises as long as you pay attention to the lectures and do the homeworks. He is Very caring and inspiring. Highly recommend.
I think he put these reviews himself. If you're taking basic math, he will be a perfect teacher for your foundation. But he will make Cal is living hell if you lack in algebra. His problems on exams are not on the same level as the homework. He will get you ready for Cal 2 most of us don't need that. Only teacher I had to drop
BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!! He was probably one of the most inspirational professors I've had. His teaching methods are truly the greatest.
Amazing professor and SUPER passionate about the topics on hand. Just attend class and learn the materials being taught. The homework and tests are the same and he reviews all the questions before the test.
The material gets very confusing as the semester goes on, but professor saminejad is very helpful with explaining. 4 exams total and homework are the only things that are graded. You must attend lecture and take good notes to do well on exams. Studying is essential to passing. Hes also hilarious! Awesome guy for stats.
Probably the best professor Ive ever had! I used to fail math time and time again, but this professor cares! No question is stupid for this professor! All around AMAZING professor who will genuinely help you understand the topics at hand. If I had to do it all over again I wouldnt pick anyone else! Thanks Professor.S for an amazing semester!
Best Professor at Bergen Community college, I took calc 1 with him and bre calc , he is very smart and the best in teaching math. I think he is better than my physics teacher even in physics. He cares and honest person that many prof at bergen don't!! I can't describe more I hope for him the best.
Fantastic professor. His exams are tough and require serious studying but he thoroughly and clearly explains each topic in class. Exam questions are similar to the homework assignments but definitely harder. Not an easy class, but a great professor. Work hard and youll get the grade you deserve
GREATEST TEACHER EVVVERRRR he is so funny and amazing at teaching he makes everything so clear and will answer any question you have the homeowrk is pretty much the same as the test but you MUST study to be successful in stats
Other professors of maths at BCC should take note of Professor Saminejad. He's at the top of his field. He explains the topic at hand, he doesn't just tell us to memorize it. All around excellent professor, a rare breed of educator. Thank you Professor Saminejad, you're living proof that not all educators at BCC are full of themselves.
Prof. Saminejad is one of the nicest professors I have ever met, was understanding, compassionate and helped me outside of class often. Prepared me enough that I just got an A in calc 2 this semester. Do the work and you'll be fine.
I absolutely hate math and needed to complete my gen. ed. requirements, usually I'll almost sleep in class. With this professor is impossible to sleep, his voice is really loud (almost screaming) which somehow is a good thing. He cares about his students. Go to class, study, ask questions, do homework and you will be ready to pass the exams.
Amazing Professor, one of the best math professors I've ever had! I had him for Calculus II over the summer, his lectures are some of the best! He knows his stuff, and presents material in an extremely logical and clear way. He is a fair grader and really does want his students to do well. I wish I had him for Differential Equations!
This guy is the ideal Math Professor. Just finished taking Calculus II with him for the first time and passed with a B. I took Calculus I three times until I finally passed it and passed Calculus II on my first try, and it was a summer course! You can tell just how passionate he is with every lecture he gives. He really made me enjoy math again!
This prof is good for learning details and checking work but his grading policy is ridiculous. For small mistakes he takes off alot of points. DO NOT TAKE HIS COURSE IN THE SUMMER. Hell make sure you regret the decision. I had him for calc 2 in the summer and passing rate was almost 40% smh.
Professor Samimejad's teaching style is either a hit or miss depending on how you learn things. Unfortunately, I didn't get his teaching style which made this course harder for me. Exams were unreasonable with a large number of problems in a short amount of time. This class was doable, but definitely an uphill battle.
He is a great Professor, he helps you understand difficult and complicated concepts and ensures you know what you're doing. The homework is the review for the exam and so its easy to get an A in his class but you have to do the work. Most people want an A but don't want to work for it. Come to class, do your homework and you'll do great.
Professor Saminejad is hands down the best teacher Ive taken at Bergen. I was nervous for stats and I aced his class. Hes an EXCELLENT educator and an absolute pleasure to be his student.
Professor Saminejad is a great Statistcs professor. Pay attention during lectures and do the homework before each test and youll amazing. The homework questions are very similar to the test questions. He answers questions anytime. I highly recommend him for statistics.
Hes really an amazing professor . Really pay attention to the lectures and try not to miss class because youll end up missing a lot . Hes more than willing to answer any questions you have on lectures. Homeworks are a big help for the exams. I definitely recommend him to anyone needing to take a math class :)
He is a good professor. He teaches excellent lectures. He knows how to teach and reach his audience. His exams are very hard. in order to get and A you must read the book and do all the exercises of it. He is very attentive to the fraud and hates the people that cheat. Always email him any doubt, he will answer for sure.
I can't understand anything he's teaching and when he writes notes on the board, they are all over the place. I would not recommend taking him for Calc I. He only gives out 3 tests and homework. No quizzes and attendance/participation. It's really tough to try and get a barely passing grade.
He explains the concepts in a way that is very easy to understand. He gives you everything that you need to succeed on the exams, but the exams are very difficult nonetheless. You should use other resources for problems to practice because the homework problems are very easy compared to exam questions.
Took asynchronous summer class. About 8 hours of lectures per week plus homework. It definitely felt like a lot of work, but he does a good job of explaining everything. Every test felt fair, only topics he covered with no curve balls.
i took Intermediate Algebra asynchronous with him and it was pretty easy if you watch the lectures. The lectures are helpful but really long videos. i would've enjoyed this class a lot more if i were in person. i enjoyed this professor a lot but taking it asynchronous was a lot of work.
He is so great, and its amusing how passionate he is about Math. I learned so much, and it was so easy to follow him with effort.
Caring professor who wants students to make an earnest effort and learn. Provided excellent supplemental videos and support. Work hard. The tests are fair and completely in sync with the homework. The HW is so important!
Saving your time if you decide to take MAT281 Hybrid during a five week summer course. You will have no time but to do anything but calculus if you want to pass this class. The exams are ridiculously difficult. Honestly, unless you're a genius there is no need to take a Calc 2 class over the summer in five weeks, passing rate is 40%.
I took professor Saminejad for both Calc 1 and Calc 2. He is absolutely amazing. The passion he has for math is very clear. His lectures are clear and allow for a clear profession in understanding the topic at hand. He only grades off of two tests, a final, and HW so you have to be prepared. The tests are exactly like what you do in class.
Lockdown browser for tests, camera monitored. Allows one page of notes for every test. As long as you do your homework, familiarize yourself with the formulas, and take good notes for tests its an easy pass.
Had for Statistic Honors. He is very passionate about the subject. Allows one page of notes for exams, which require lockdown browser and camera. Tests reflect everything covered on the test reviews. Easy passing grade.
so bad it hurts... He explains the topics very well but makes his test so hard to pass. Average for each test was 60. Grade is mainly test. He also makes you watch hours of his recorded lecture every week prior to class to actually understand. Last BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, he makes you buy your homework for $100.
Professor Saminejad is one of the best professors I had this semester. His lectures are amazing but his exams are very difficult. He assigns homework every week, and he will give you extension on hw if you ask him to. If you don't wanna challenge yourself, don't take him cuz you have to study a lot for his class.
calc 2 is already very difficult and his tests are the most difficult questions that you can find anywhere. He is an amazing teacher and wants you to master the topic but his exams are extremely difficult. I don't think you should be taking him if you are not willing to put 2 or more hours every day. Rating here is not accurate at all. He is though
His teaching style is definitely not for everyone, he comes off as very passionate but ends up speaking very loud, fast, and slightly aggressive. He is very lecture-heavy, I took him as a hybrid class so I only saw him once a week but he assigns a couple of video lectures to watch before seeing him again. These videos are over an hour long each.
He gives 3 tests, 1 cumulative final, and online HW. He's a very harsh grader, and his reviews are nothing like the test questions. He is a charismatic guy; he is loud and passionate while teaching. However, his kindness does not equate to good teaching. His teaching style is hard to follow. Prepare to relearn the material at home and study hard.
Online Asynchronous. He posted all the information on Moodle, but we had to teach ourselves. It was easier online than taking him in person. I recommend taking him online; you have a much higher chance of passing his class.
I took a hybrid class which meant lectures were on video and the quality was terrible. He speaks very aggressive and gets irritated by questions. The online textbook was very expensive and its required to be able to do the homework. Overall a very poor learning environment
Do not take this professor in person if you want to pass. He talks so much and tries so hard to be funny. The way he talks is aggressive and overall makes me sleepy during his lectures. The tests are nearly impossible even if you study. Some of the questions are random made-up questions that no one even remembers learning. Just take it online.
Since it was hybrid, you do teach yourself some material. I recommend watching the author's provided lectures. Also he requires you to purchase the online textbook, since thats where the homework is done. Overall, loud lecturer comes off aggressive, but cares for you to learn. As long as you watch the lectures and do the homework you'll be fine.
I took this class as a five-week summer course. Saminejad is hands down the best math teacher I have ever had. He is so incredibly passionate about what he teaches and it greatly benefits the lectures. If you attend his lectures and put the same effort into learning from him as he puts into teaching you, you won't regret taking his class.
Had Professor Saminejad for Calc 1 Summer1. Took Precalc and got a C so I was almost terrified that I had to take Calc 1 for my major. Here is my advice to passing the class and doing well: -Go to SI and use the free tutoring for HW help and exam prep -Study the exam review sheets and know how to solve similar problems -Take good notes in class!
I took Professor Saminejad for Summer 1 and was honestly terrified. I would watch the lectures before class and with his in-person lecture, the math made much more sense. The exams are not bad do the practice exam and follow the solutions, the test is similar with different numbers.
Fantastic professor. His classes are heavy and fast-paced, but he always takes the time to answer questions. Amazing at explaining and breaking down complex concepts. Gives extra credit on tests, tests are weighted differently with the highest score weighted the most. You can tell he loves teaching and math and just wants you to do well.
Took him for calc I & II. All hybrid so you do have to practice allot on your own. He's approachable and willing to help as long as you put in the effort. The tests arent as hard as some people say - they're literally just a mix of HW and in-class problems and the review sheet. Also get used to seeing euler's constant cuz its his favorite thing.
I took this calc 2 with this professor in the summer. He was amazing, understood where students would go wrong, and tried to help them. He's a very active and engaging professor, bringing a lot of energy into each lecture. The material he teaches is a lot of work but he does a good job in making you feel like you can handle it.
Grade mostly depends on 2 cumulatives & a final. If score on final is higher than 1 of the cumulatives, he'll drop the lower cumulative & double count the final. Homework is 15%, so do it--it's online and graded, but you can redo problems over & over until you get it right & get a 100%. Exams exactly like homework & what's taught in lecture.
Great Professor, had him for Calc l and ll, both were taken hybrid so lectures were once a week. He is always open to students' questions and genuinely cares if we are learning the material. Calc 2 is a tough class, but if you pay attention to his lectures, do the HW and do the practice exams, you should be fine. Def would recommend taking him.
He is pretty funny and dynamic. Assigns weekly homework which generally consists of 8-10 problems and gives review questions before the exams. Attend classes to learn the subject and you are going to be okay.
Fantastic teacher. The lectures alone suffice, so I found the textbook not necessary. We were only graded on 3 exams and the homework. The exams are fair, closely resembling the in-class and homework problems. The homework unfortunately requires purchasing an expensive digital code, but you get plenty of tries.
One of the Best Professors in Bergen. Always ready to answer questions, understands and cares about his students. Class was hybrid so we met him once a WEEK . Had him for Pre cal,Cal I and II. Exams based on the review and what he does on class. Deff recommend taking him.
He is very energetic in his lectures. Watch his videos, take thorough notes, and do example problems before coming to class or else you'll feel like a turtle in a 100m sprint. Otherwise, you'll be fine. The tests and exams are very fair and he's open to students coming to him during office hours. Take him and the passion will rub off on you.
All the 5 star reviews are written by him lol, there is a reason the 1 star reviews have 6-8 likes. Do not take calc 2 summer with him trust, worst month of your life, unrealistic person..
so far the worst math professor I have taken in higher level learning.
Dont make the same mistake and take him in the summer...
Took him for calc 1 def better professors here
I took Prof. Saminejad for a Summer 1 semester for calc 1 and absolutely loved every class! He explains out every topic even to simple algebraic roots to make it as simple as possible to understand. If you don't understand, just ask! The only thing is the course content itself in 5 weeks can be tough for those who have no calc experience at all.
Better professors at bergen.
Dont take him in the summer its ridiculous
Took him for calc 1 and he was great. Intense lectures but he really cares and is a great guy.
I took him for Calc 1 in the summer. Great professor. He really cares that you understand the material. The tests are exactly like the review. Except the final isn't. There are two homeworks each week. I took Calc 1 already and failed. Now I passed with a C+.
One thing to know is that he is quite loud which some may not like but personally I really enjoyed his lectures as it came across as him just being passionate about what he was teaching. I think he's very fair and I got a C because I didn't put enough effort into the class which is my own fault but if you try harder you can easily get an A.
I earned my A, not because his lectures and teaching, but rather my online learning skills. I read through the textbook rather than attend lectures because his handwriting is SO bad--its literally illegible. The available online lectures are years old and are of bad quality (also with bad handwriting). He was lenient on grading for tests, however.
Class was ridiculous—horrible handwriting, fast-paced lectures, aggressive way of speaking (w/ an accent), grade is 85% made up of tests, and HAVE TO BUY THE TEXTBOOK to do the homework. I had to spend hours learning the content from online or the textbook because I never learned anything from his lectures. His hybrid class isn't worth it!
Kaveh's classes are challenging but rewarding. Staying on top of the work is key - using tools like the free textbook, class notes, and unstuck ai really helps with study prep. Overall, it's a tough course, but a great learning experience.
I ve never understood what he said, and taught. but the thing is his personality is good. that's it.
Genuinely the worst professor I have had the displeasure of having. His lectures are below average quality, they are usually hard to follow and his handwriting is absolutely horrid. He also has the harshest grading I have ever seen. All his video lectures are very low quality, hard to follow, outdated and take way more time than it should.
The worst professor of all time.
Professor S gives easy homework but quite tedious. The good news is there an infinite number of tries so you can't do the hw wrong. He gives some credit as long as you show the work in exams. The only negative aspects are the 5 exams and you to pay for about $120 dollars for this website called Aleks. He uses it a lot for homework and exams.
He's a good person and very passionate about teaching which I could respect but his grading is really too harsh. You only get graded on 4 things in total: HW, 2 exams, and the final. So basically, if you do bad on one thats a huge hit to your grade. I really hope he curves his grades....
if you don't have a religion, pick one and start praying! what he teaches is not even what's on the test! he himself gets problems wrong. TAKE SOMEONE ELSE! He post fake reviews! can't teach clearly! exams are lockdown and on Aleks
He sets you up for success. His lectures aren't exactly top notch, he goes through the material quick because he only teaches hybrid (class once a week), but at least gives out reviews that are similar to the exams. I dropped because I was taking PHY-280 but his course is doable if you study. Must pay $130 dollars for Cengage to complete homework
do not listen to any of the good reviews hes a horrible professor, very tough grader, his exams are way harder than other prof's exams, he will put the hardest questions he can find, and if you mess up on one exam consider yourself done with the class. do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE HIM NO MATTER WHAT
Scored 90% with full explanations but still got a zero because my “workstation” wasn't fully visible. Like bro, we're on laptops — how much do you expect a tiny webcam to show? He cares more about camera angles than actual math. No flexibility, no common sense. Felt more like a surveillance check than a math class. Dropped it. Not worth the stress.
Genuinely the worst professor at Bergen and really sucks at teaching plus has very hard exams with many situational/trick questions. DO NOT take him for any class.
The only thing going for him is his personality and love for calculus, although he sucks at teaching it. His lectures are difficult to follow, his handwriting is egregious, and his “test reviews” only contain half of what appears on exams, which are also graded without any empathy or consideration of genuine mistakes. Take another teacher if u can.
