He is great...the class is so incredibly easy. He has an accent but if you have a brain you can understand him! Easy A.

I absolutely loved that class. Kwasi is a great guy, the accent adds to everything. If you can't handle it, all that shows is your lack of culture. Class is an easy A if you give satisfactory effort.

Boring material, lots of writing but as long as you study it's easy. Says tests grades in order, so you know who failed and who did good.

Easy, easy class, just memorize the notes and they are EXACTLY what is on the exam. Just don't expect to get much out of it. Notes are from like 1975.

good teacher, class is all notes though. tests are very detailed and on a ton of information at once...you just need to memorize the notes he gives you.

He is a very good teacher. The tests are easy, take this class for an easy A . He treats everyone equally and explains everything, he knows a lot about what he teaches and isn't just reading his notes. READ YOUR NOTES AND EXPECT AN A .

KWASI SARFO is the best teacher ever. Very easy class, tests are exactly from notes. I never even got a book, no need. Good ol' Kwasi. Great class, definately take this one

He is the easiest prof. all his tests come straight from the notes, dont get the book. He has lots of notes but the tests are so easy!!!

His class is extremely easy if you are willing to study a little bit. He is a nice man, friendly, and helpful, but his lectures are just reading off of overheads from the 80's. He tells you exactly what to study. Easy A.

Gives you the entire test from your notes and additional credit for showing up to class, course is a breeze just simple memorization, not tough at all.

Very easy as long as you go to class. Notes are from the overhead and he tells you what is going to be on the test. If you study for about 2 hrs(even less if you're good at memorization) for each test it should be an easy A.

Not a difficult class - just sit down, shut up, and copy the notes. He can be funny sometimes, other times boring - tends to overelaborate on simple points. Don't bother buying the book for this class, you'll never use it.

Ok class. Boring. Never lets out early. Tests can be passed by memorizing the notes. Not an easy A, unless you have time to memorize all the notes.

Sarfo is definitely a unique person, but definitely very nice and helpful as long as you are respectful in class. study all from notes for exam, dont really need text. attendance counts! show up, take notes, head home.

With a little bit of effort, this class is a guaranteed "A". Kwasi's style is a little dry, but his expectations are clear, and as long as you can attend class, take notes and study, you will be fine. Anyone who does poorly in this class obviously doesn't care about school a whole lot.

Notes all on overhead, not interesting for the visual learner. Never look at a map of Africa. Tests from the notes, does give hints as to what to study. Must memorize some useless things like name changes and capital changes... that is what maps are for!

Easy A, show up, take the notes, read them over a few times before the test and that is it. Lets you know up front what is expected. Do the work and there is no reason not to get an A

Easy A if you go to class and study your notes. All of the questions come right from the notes. He adds humor to the lectures and his accent makes it interesting. I do not see why anyone would do horrible unless you don't go to class.

He was very clear on what was going to be on tests. Everything was from overheads. Some find that boreing, I, however, found it much easier than a lot of other classes. Great guy and answers any questions.... just ask and make sure the questions are logical, not stupid... he has little time for repetitiveness.

If you think this class is hard drop out of college

sometimes he starts at like 8:58 and that pisses me off. it is the same thing everyday, and overheads make me sleepy. not hard to do well in if you study your notes, but i never feel like going b/c it is so repetitive.

Attendance is mandatory. Class is interesting but can be very boring by taking notes on the overhead all class period. Needs to find a better way of teaching. If you study his notes, which is alot for the test, you will do fine. All questions come straight from notes.

Greatest teacher of all time

Take Africa with Sarfo...He is Great! His tests are directly from the overhead class notes. You don't need to buy the book, I never opened mine! Attendance is mandatory. He doesn't give homework or projects, just the tests. If you go to class and study your notes and memorize what he tells you to know for the test you will easily get an A.

I don't understand some people... Dr. Sarfo is awesome. He loves what he teaches and is willing to talk with you after class if you have any questions. Class is based off of five exams (50 multiple choice) Questions are right from the notes! the txt book is not necessary!! If you study all the notes you take from clas, you will get an A on the exam

Seriously, this class is NOT AT ALL as bad as people are saying it is on here. You should not get a grade lower than a B. Sounds to me like some people do not put fourth some studying time, which you can easily ace his exams if you look at the notes! NO papers no need to buy the book=] Take the class its an easy ADR

Professor Sarfo is a brilliant man. He knows exactly what he is talking about. Although his notes may be the same notes that he has used in previous years - HISTORY doesn't change people! It's a FACTS class. Study the notes and don't miss class! If you memorize the notes you will ACE his test no problem. Don't take if you are looking for a cheap A

Show upto class take notes from handwritten slides on the projector. he tells you exactly what to study on for the test. Show up and put in a little effort and you will get an a. Attendance is mandatory but its college, dont be a slack and you will do fine. Would take another class by him.

He expects the students to be mentally present during class, and is a helpful resource. People who fail simply don't study or show up.

Don't buy the book, he's working on his own. Study and you'll do fine. Oh and attendance is mandatory and you don't get a SINGLE freebee so your grade drops 3% per absence.

He gives 5 tests and that's all there is to the class. No homework, no assignments, just tests. Each test is 50 questions and he tells you exactly what to study. The lectures are full of notes, so bring your laptop. I averages a B on tests, but he adds 10% to your grade if you attend every class.

He gives you the notes and thats exactly what the test is. All his tests for global issues were multiple choice. All you have to do is read your notes and you'll pass the test. Definitely take this class.

Sarfo has become one of my favorite professors at York! Although his lectures (done on an old projector) can be a tad boring, he's really a nice guy and is very knowledgeable about almost everything in his field. As long as you study and pay attention to his lectures, you'll be fine. Attendance is mandatory! If you skip a class, you're screwed!

Professor Sarfo is amazing professor, he gives good feedback on written papers and his lectures are nearly word for word what's on the exam. the people who don't do well in his class either don't take notes or they don't study because its that simple.

This class consists solely of exams. if you are a bad test taker you will hate your life. you must take good notes during lectures or you wont do good. he's smart but gives bad advice when you ask for help.
