I loved this class with her. I really learned alot. Some people might gripe about having to do a case study, and she isn't an easy teacher. That's why some stupid people might complain about her. I think she's great- she makes you learn, and that's why you pay to go to school, right?

If you're taking her classes to actually LEARN, she's a really good professor. She's not easy, but she makes the material interesting. She also let me take a test WAY late because I was out of town on the test date, unlike my Oceanography prof, who make me take it early. I highly recommend her if you want to get something out of the class and not just slide through it like a lot of teachers will let you do. :)

Makesclass interesting, but gives very hard tests. You MUST study for them. Only teacher I ever LEARNED anything from.

Very good teacher, explains things clearly and tries to help us understand when we ask questions. Take home quizzes easy, but tests are hard. Liked the class activities.

After reading her evals here I was scared when I found out she was the only person teaching this course and I was stuck. But she is great! Her class is interesting and fun. I will take anything else she is teaching.

She is very cheerful and trys to bring excitment to the class. As long as you study for a test, which she is very helpful with leting you know what you have to know, you will do very well. She encourages class participation, we never had a class where she would lecture for the whole time.

Professor Garner is an amazing teacher. She's full of knowledge.I've never enjoyed hearing anyone lecture as much as her. You do have to work for your grade but she is definetly a priviledge to take. She's probebly one of the most amazing professors you will ever meet. She's funny, helpful and has a big heart for people.You will learn from her.

This is my second class with her. She is the best instructor I have ever had. Classes go by so fast she has to tell us they are over. She listens to us and lets us be part of making the class happen. Would recommend her to anyone!!

This professor is wonderful! She is kind, hilarious, helpfull and intelligent. I do not understand most of the comments made about her-they must have been student who thought Psych was easy and realized she would challenge them and make them think. As far as personal problem disrupting class, she takes care of her dying mother-people have a soul!!

WILL WORK for your grade. She wants you to leave the class having learned something. She has some personal things that she will tell you up front, they have never interfered with the class. People would do the same in her situation. She's a wonderful teacher. Very uplifting and super fun. I would love to have her for every class. LOVED her!!!

Garner is a really fun teacher and she keeps you interested in what you're learning. You definitely have to work for you grade and read the book. She is very understanding and she's definitely knows the topics she teaches. Also she cooks food for you on test days, yum.

Wonderful teacher. Class is always an open floor to talk about real life situations. This professor said she will never make a student buy a test book she makes a packet and that is the next book. Take her she is passionate. Not the easiest teacher but she's not completely difficult just go to class.

Although she was really nice I found this class to be really really hard. She lost a few of our papers at one point. I guess youd have to really be into psychology to take this class. It was a summer class and im sure if it was a fall class I would have done much better. But she was a really really nice lady!

Don't know why last person said that. Garner is a great teacher, not easy but very clear on things and willing to spend extra time if you need. She does use Web, etc. but this is listed as a hybrid course, so last person should not have signed up if only wanted to learn from book. Take Garner if you want to learn. You will work, but also laugh.

Ms. Gardner is a really nice teacher but uses unorthodox methods to teach. First day of class, she had us placing ourselves through hula hoops.I have yet to figure out the purpose behind that. If you like working in groups, this is class for you. Group quizzes and group research papers are a just a few of the group activities.

Mrs.Garner is an excellent teacher.she makes learning boring stuff interesting and tries to find different ways for us to understand wat she is teaching.n 4 any1 who thinks she is stupid or an idiot,well,they are wrong and jus hatin cuz mrs.Garner is off da chain wit it.shes very familiar with her subject and i would definetly take her again.

She is very tough but at the same time funny. Beware of group work especially if you got stuck working with group members that do not help at all. She has an excellant open door policy and does not mind answering your questions a million times. she brings baked goods that she has made on random days and homecooked meals before midterms and finals.

Mrs. Garner is a great teacher. I had a lot of fun in her class. She even brings in food for all of her class on test days so that you can focus more. You will engage into many interesting conversations in this class. We did most of our work on Web CT so we had plenty of time to do test that were online.

Don't know why the last person said those things. Wonder if it was the person in my group who refused to work and wanted everyone else to do their work. Professor Garner was great! Worked hard to help us. Late once but had office leave us message. Made class very interesting. Would recommend taking her again to anyone!

I am not sure why some people say that Prof Garner was not a good teacher. She did all that she could to help her students and make them feel comfortable in the class. While yes, she was not the easiest teacher she was the teacher whose material I remembered. I thought she was a GREAT teacher & would recommend her to ANYONE!Oh & the food was great.

Loved her! She makes class exciting. Did not start class thinking I would like subject, but am now changing my major. Only difficult if you don't work and ask questions.

Class is great and am learning a lot. Prof G is fun, but does want us to learn so be prepared to do some work. She is usually there early and will stay after to talk about anything with us.

Professor Garner is a wonderful teacher. She makes the class dull, and not boring by long shot. Although test and finals are hard in this class, she works with you,and reiterates everything. quizzes are easy, and learning and getting an "A" is very obtainable in this class. I LOVE HER!! Taking Adolescent Psych from her on line. She is a really good teacher. Organized and gives good feedback. Returns e-mails quickly and will make time for you. Did not think I would, but love the class.

Garner was so helpful in giving explanations for things that I had not previously understood. She was actually very humorous. Talks about specific past case work and uses to explain things. Talks about husband quite a bit... you can tell she loves that man. GREAT TEACHER ALL AROUND. Take her class. Period.

DON'T KNOW WHAT THE LAST PEOPLE WERE TALKING ABOUT. GARNER WAS GREAT! GAVE US AT LEAST 2 DAYS TO DO EACH QUIZ & GAVE US SELF TEST BEFORE EACH ONE. IF THEY WANTED TO PASS, MAYBE THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE THE SELF TEST. QUIZZES USUALLY HAD SAME QUESTIONS. ALWAYS ANSWERED QUESTIONS QUICKLY. EVEN LET US CHOOSE HOW TO TAKE OUR FINAL EXAM.

What was problem with last people. Can't they read a study guide? Garner had it up on the first day class opened and all quizzes showed on dates study guide gave. Garner was great! Explained everything well and even let us choose how we wanted some tests to go. Recommend her to anyone! Assignments were fun and usually had 2 weeks to do them.

I loved her! She was my first online class and it was great. She is a really nice professor and very understanding. The mid term and final are a little difficult, but she gives extra credit. You get 2 chances on the quizes. She gives you notes and you responds back to your emails fast. I definitely recommend taking her class. She is awesome!

Great Teacher. I took her online class, quizes=easy, exams=easy. She gives really nice and easy busy work to help your grade along. Deff take her!!! =)

Online class. Assignments and tests are easy. She gives study guides for mid-term and finals. She has multiple classes at once so sometimes she confuses them and will send out emails that have nothing to do with your class. Just stay on top of the assignments calendar and you'll be fine. One group project with a second optional one.

Took her online course.She allows you to choose 1 makeup quiz and drops your lowest quiz grade @ end of term.She responds to e-mails within 24hrs,but sometimes can be unclear with answering questions.Did Final Research Paper in groups,but was difficult considering it being an online course.Got a B in her class,could have gotten an A if studied more

She is a very dedicated teacher. She had a major health issue during my semester and still came to class and taught. She is very good at emailing and calling people back. Her test can be very hard if you dont study. She gives you the option to take midterm in a group.

Mrs.Garner is an excellent instructor.She teaches from notes that are also avail.for on webct and demonstrates real- life cases.Very knowledegable about the material,laid,spontaneous and cool.Be prepared to study and you will pass the class with a breeze!

On-line class. Work set up in easy to follow manner. Always available as per study guide. Teacher even gave us her cell number to contact her if we needed to gt hold of her. Class is not hard, as long as you do your work. Will definitely take her again.

Professor Garner is a great teacher! I took her online course, and it was my first one and she is very helpful. Definitely need the textbook. Sort of a lot of work, but it's not really difficult work. She gives plenty of opportunity to keep your grade up. Only complaint is the group work, it's not ideal for an online course.

I enjoyed this class. It requires doing the actual reading and studying, for the quizzes are questions you will only know answers to if you have done the reading. Took online class. Quizes are extremely easy, I got 100% on each of them. She gives study guides for the midterm and final, extra credit opportunity and one make-up quiz. I got an A. The class was really interesting, and I learned a lot.

She tried to act very sweet in the begining but she ended up being somewhat rude and would "lose" my online assignments! Grades unfairly and is vague about her reasoning. I am an A student and barely passed with a C! The class wasn't hard at all and I learned a lot. Take someone else!!!

Prof Garner was a tough teacher but good. I learned a lot from this class. She was very helpful especially since I was having some family problems. She did point out that she had to be fair in grading, but that was alright. Have taken other classes from her and would recommend her to anyone.

I have taken every class she teaches and would take more, if she offered them. Yes, she requires a lot, but she is willing to work with you to help you learn. Professor Garner was very fair in grading, although it does take some time to get your grades. She is always available via cell phone which is very comforting. However, I do agree that the final research project depends a lot on other students in your group. I almost lost my A because of it. The tests and quizzes are easy if you review and study!!

Love this class! Did not think I would, but Prof Garner puts so many fun things to do other than just read that I am really understandng things. Also, don't know why others have said she was not available. She always answers my e-mails or calls. Very patient with me. I even liked dong the group project, learned a lot.

I took this class online, and it was pretty easy. She gives you majority of the answers for the quizzes and final as long as you do the required activities she advises you to do. Her assignments are easy the only about this class that sucks is the group project, it's not practical and just a pain, my group was useless and barely interacted.

Took Abormal Psych in H1 session. This teacher was GREAT!! She was always available, on-line class very organized and easy to follow. Had LOTS of fun activities. Gave us a make up quiz AND dropped a lowest quiz score! Would take her for anything she teaches.

I took this class online. Quizzes are very easy, just do the practice quizzes. Exams are mostly like the quizzes. She offers easy extra credit opportunities. The group project is okay, not terrible but I guess it depends on who you get in your group. Overall it was a good class.

She is really nice and helpful. Answers all e-mails quickly. Took class on-line & in short term. Wish I had taken for full term. Midterm is hardest test. STUDY and do extra credit for that one. I will take her again.

Took same class as last person and thought she was GREAT! All you had to do was read the modules to get all work done on time and get credit. Maybe the last person didn't do that. Learned how to apply info when we did group project. I really enjoyed that! She answered all my questions and telephone calls right away.

Best on line teacher I have had!!!! Always answers my questions. Lots if e-mail, but they told us what to do. All dates set for work on Study Guide. Took 2 classes from her at same time and LEARNED! What I wanted to do. Gave us lots of extra chances to get better grades. Just do the work and follow directions. You will be fine.

I had Prof. Garner online. Though she is glad to help you by responding to your e-mail quite quickly, she won't tolerate incorrectly formatted assignments; she only accepts rtf, and is quite adamant about that. The group projects are somewhat organized, concept that each student has an individual responsibility is not. Strict but will help you.

I took her class online. She is a very organized professor. Every set of instructions is super detailed. If you do the work, you will do well. Not many extra credit opportunities (two ten point ones). But, she is not very forgiving when you miss an assignment, even for an emergency. If you do not log online everyday other day, she deducts points.

Took her class online. Some ambiguity in syllabus due dates caused confusion and she would not budge, hence my A became a B. Test questions are not clear at all times. An A is possible in this class, but the work must be put in and no assignments can be missed (she does not allow for any exceptions here.)

Garner was always there when I needed to talk about anything. She is only online teacher I have ever had who gave her cell phone number and was there on weekends. She does give make up for quizzes and gave a chance to do make up on missed APLIA work. If you do work, you can get A. Will take again.

Prof Garner was GREAT! Easy to do class if you followed directions. Make sure you check out practice Final as it is almost same as real Final Exam. Group project was not my favorite, but she gave lots of info on how to get best grade and even gave a couple days extra time to complete when our group had problems. Just follow directions.

She is really good. When I asked about a quiz question, she gave me credit cause I could find good info in textbook. Gave good feedback and suggestions on how to do better in class. Worked with me to help bring my grade from D to B, but I did have to work a lot.

I took her for online general psychology. Note: Online classes are generally much more difficult than in person classes. This class was difficult because I had to self-motivate. There aren't many extra credit opportunities and logging into blackboard is monitored and mandatory. All quizzes are online, so you can use book. Our final was also online.

LOVED HER!! Have taken 3 of her on-line classes and she is great. Is detailed in her info. Works with you a lot and always available to answer questions. Wish all my on-line instructors were this good.

She is very clear on what she expects. Will answer calls or emails within 24 hours. Challenging course, but gave HINTS as to what you should work on for exams. Really has helped me be successful.

INFORMATION OVERLOAD! I imagine Kay Garner is a great teacher in the classroom, but she is NOT fit to teach an ONLINE class. She is unable to communicate without an overload of information. She has NO IDEA what the word concise means. This is my 6th online class and I've NEVER had so much info thrown at me from EVERY angle like this teacher.

She was great! Very easy to understand and was very clear on what was expected. yes she did send you a lot of e-mails which was good actually. I am taking her next Psych class as well. Great instructor!

Thought Prof Garner was great! You have to let her know if you have problems though but she is pretty much always available. Learned a lot and enjoyed how Research Project showed use of what I learned. Lots of info given, but it is an on-line class so classroom discussions are not an option. Think what I learned will make me a better nurse.

She was very clear on what she expected. Maybe those who had problems didn't know how to keep a calendar. Got a lot of great information and have changed my major to psychology after this class! Recommend her to anyone who is an adult and can be responsible for themselves.

I thought she was pretty clear with her instructions. The work wasn't really that difficult to get done, and the group projects were pretty clean cut. I usually have issues with those, especially communication wise, but I'd say her method made the work much easier.
