She was awesome and I got a 4.0 becasue I was allowed to use my notes on the midterm and final. Just so up and take good notes and you should do fine. She makes class really interesting.

Easy tests!

One of the few professors in the world that are worth a students time and money. She is amazing, and to those saying she would make a better elementary school teacher are insane, her empirical knowledge of psychology makes her an excellent teacher. She helps students and takes the time to get to know them. Highly reccomend very beautiful young lady

I took PSY 101, 202, & 240 from her. She is an excelent teacher. I would have to say one of the best I have ever had. She understands where you as a student are coming from and will try to do anything to help. She wants you to come by her office if you need anything or are not understanding. Theres not enough room here for my praise.

Her lectures were very clear and fun. She used examples that we could relate to to help us better understand psych terms and experiments.

I took her for Intro Psych and Ab Psych. She is fantastic! Her classes helped me decide to go into neuroscience! If you're going to take psych, make sure to get her. She is clear, helpful, and truly interested in teaching. There is minimal homework, too. I LOVED her classes!!!

This was a great class! I took it online in the summer. Pretty laid back... had to take a quiz every week (they were kind of of hard) but we were able to use the book. I would take KayLynn's class again and again!!!

Although her lectures don't really help with the online/openbook quizes, they are still interesting and focused more for those going into psychology or at least interested in the subject. She is easy going and we got to watch a lot of great movies. I had a fun time!

Kay Lynn Stevens is awesome! I'm at WSU now, and of all the classes I took at CBC, THIS ONE is the one I miss the most. Prof. Stevens brought the most interesting lectures...she lets you ask a ton of questions & she's ridiculously knowledgeable. This class was so fun and I learned a ton about psychology....seriously, take this class.

Great class. Taught very well and passionately. As long as you pay attention, you'll do just fine. It's not a particularly difficult class, and Stevens is very very helpful. I will be taking Abnormal Psych from her next quarter as well.

Took the online Developmental Psych class. Easiest 4.0 earned ever. Used my book only for weekly quizzes. All of the discussions were mostly personally opinions. Had to write to article reviews at the beginning of the quarter that were simple. EASY A!

Great online class, test sometimes a little hard to figure out answer..have to read the book very careful. Discussion questions are a easy A. She's great at responding to emails and very clear on due dates...I've taken 2 classes with her, best instructor at CBC in my 2 years!!

She's a very nice teacher and makes class interesting, not that Abnormal Psych isn't! She's very clear, has a sense of humor, and has a great teaching style. Any essays completed consist of the analysis of the movies watched in class that apply to the unit being studied at the time. Do the work and you'll be fine.

I took her class online. Your grade comes from discussions and quizzes, no papers. There is a new discussion topic and quiz each week. The quizzes took me an average of 3-4 hours to do, but that was because I read the book as I was taking the quiz. Quiz=1 attempt, unlimited time. Mrs Stevens set this class up well. Overall, this class is an easy A

she is an awesome professor! her classes aren't that hard shes very helpful and she actually enjoys teaching which makes class so much better! i took her for both psych 101 and abnormal psych and enjoyed both classes immensely. i love her and am hoping to take her lifespan pysch.

Took her Lifespan Psychology class and absolutely love her! Its not a very hard class online and if you go into see her she is so helpful and really cares about each of her students! One of the best CBC professors I have ever had!

Very nice and down to earth. She's very passionate about her field, but her opinions aren't offensive. Quiz's are open book and un-timed, but are far from a walk in the park. Mid-term and final weren't difficult. She did cancel classes more than any other teacher I've had, but she's a good teacher and I learned a lot. I'd recommend her.

This is an easy class as long as you put time into it. Participate in the group discussions every week and an open-book, untimed test every two weeks. The tests took me around 2-3 hours. Although it was just those assignments, I still learned a lot and the material was all super interesting. Kay Lynn really wants her students to succeed. Love her.

By far my favorite professor at CBC. She's incredibly clear about what you need to study for the test and grades fairly. The way she teaches the class is discussion based so the students are all engaged throughout the entire class. I recommend her class to anyone who needs to take any Psychology course.

She's an easy-going teacher. You have seminars in class and case studies. Seminars are easy, but case studies are more harshly graded. Overall, easy class & you will have hw due every other week & a final project presentation.

Kay Lynn was a fantastic online instructor. Although we never met in person, she is a great communicator and will explain things in more detail if something does not make sense to you. There are lots of interesting subjects to learn and the quizzes are not very hard! I recommend taking this instructor!

Absolutely recommend. I took Psych 100 and Psych 220 with her, and got 4.0's in both. If you care about the material, you will do well. She doesn't use the textbook too much, which is nice if you don't like reading. Work load was moderate and some activities required critical thinking, but overall, she is hilarious and has an interesting class.

She makes everything really clear and if you have questions, she will answer them directly. A lot of the class time is spent going over the material, so you don't really need the book. She has a lot of extra credit stuff, so that's cool too. Definitely an interesting class and I'd recommend anyone to take it.

Ms. Stevens was a FANTASTIC teacher. She always made sure to leave plenty of feedback on assignments and was willing to meet and discuss any questions. There were 2 papers that were not in essay format (easy). I did spend a majority of time in my textbook, but that is expected in on online class. I would take more of her classes!

If you don't like writing, don't take her class. If you don't like long meaningless lectures, don't take her class. If you don't like group discussions, don't take her class. If you like looking at cute teachers, by all means... take her class. She's also really witty, that's the only reason I like the class. Be prepared to read a BORING book..

I received a personal email from Professor Stevens when I did well, and when I didn't do so well. She genuinely cared about how I was doing in class. I had to work hard, but I felt supported. I also really liked the assignment reminders.

This course was phenomenal. I generally do not like taking online courses, but she made it so easy to stay motivated and engaged in the course work. Everything was laid out clearly. She emails you personally before and after every assignment and quiz. If you read and put a little effort into the assignments and studying, you will pass this class!

Psych was great with professor Stevens! Took it online this summer, and the layout of the course was very clear. If taking it online, you MUST read each chapter assigned before taking the quiz for that chapter, or you'll fail due to your own lack of commitment. Stevens was very encouraging and always left positive messages after results of quizes!

No tests at all, but more importantly Kay Lynn is a wonderful professor. I have taken her for Health Psych previously (another great class) and wouldn't take anyone else for psychology (took 100 with a dif prof). Final is a presentation OR poster on a topic of your choosing (ours is the week before finals week). An engaging, inspiring professor.

She is very nice. I am taking another class with her next quarter. There is a lot of reading, but some of it's pretty interesting.

She's an excellent teacher, really loves and cares about what she does. I definitely enjoyed her class and found her content and lectures really interesting. The more you put in the more you'll get out of it. If you have an interest in psych she will definitely encourage you to join the pysch club or she's happy to share and recommend other things

Professor Stevens is an excellent teacher. The class wasn't particularly difficult if you are interested in the subject and are willing to put effort into it. I highly recommend her as a teacher. All of my classes with her have been similarly good experiences.

This is a tough class but really interesting. Be prepared to review data, interpret data, and be prepared to dedicate a lot of time to seminar and exam preparation. Professor Stevens is very well rounded, smart, and intellectual. I really enjoyed her!

She's the best and nicest teacher at CBC. She's ALWAYS there for you and can help you out with personal issues too! Her lectures are never boring and always ask's for your opinion as well.

I took Professor Stevens online for Lifespan. She responded promptly to emails, and gave assignments that really helped you understand and be interested by the material. She had a few opportunities for extra credit which was a great bonus! I ended the class with over 100%! Read the chapter, take some notes, and ask questions and you will be golden.

Kay is an outstanding professor who requires her students to engage in thoughtful participation. The textbook used in this class is engaging and thought provoking...A good thing, since there is a lot of reading. Online tests with open book are challenging, so read the assigned material and don't wait until the final hour for your second chance.

Prof Kay Lynn, is an incredibly caring, motivated instructor. She has many ideas on how to retain what we just learned which we found extremely helpful. The way she runs her class, you'll never be bored. Furthermore, she is happy to meet with you anytime about anything! Her entire goal is for us to truly understand. She's top notch!

Amazing teacher. Very passionate about what she teaches. Lectures are interesting and she has power point notes on canvas so missing class isn't a big deal. Study guides are useful and all the info is on the tests. Most tests are multiple choice with some short answer and maybe some matching.

Had her for Psychology 200 online. It is a tough class since this class is mostly reading out of the book. Tests are okay to do if you read the material on the chapters assigned. She is caring and helpful enough to help you pass the class. The homework that she leaves aren't that hard and don't take long to do. Its the same for research papers.

She is a really easy professor just attend class every day. And never miss a Seminar or Test because your won't pass the class

Kay Lynn is easily one of my favorite teachers. You can tell that she really cares about the material she's teaching and about her students.

Professor Stevens is one of my favorite professor's. Her lectures are well organized, easy to follow and are available online if you miss a day of class. Attendance is not graded. Professor Stevens focuses on the big questions and concepts.

She's amazing. I took this online class during 8 week summer quarter along with 2 other classes. It was a tough quarter for me cuz this course required a lot of reading and writing discussion. But she graded them generously as long as you meet her requirements which are easy and have your paper check my writing center before you turn it in.

Easy to listen to without realizing you are at a lecture. Uses Powerpoint but does not teach by reading it. Test review is great, prepares you for the exam. No surprises in her class. Awesome Professor.

She was an amazing professor. Her lectures were clear and fun to listen to. If you payed attention, her assignments were fairly easy, and throughout each unit she made it very clear what would be on the exams. The only downside was sometimes we had to watch decently long videos on our own time. (Time consuming.) overall LOVED this class!!!

This class was very fun and easy to follow along with !! Work load was very minimal , including study guides and a few movies you have to watch on your own time with worksheets to complete afterwards . Shes very easy to talk to , and very compassionate . Also, she lets you know exactly what she expects on exams or assignments !!

This professor is awesome! You can tell she really loves her job. I took her Lifespan Pysch class, online. She gives you two tries at quizzes and they are untimed. She grades fairly on research assignments and gives you the opportunity to turn it in early so, she can give you feedback before final submission. I would definitely take her again!

This class was difficult for me ONLY because it was only available to be taken online for the summer quarter. I had to read A LOT and spend hours studying and doing research papers, but what more could you expect in a college class? This professor was very caring and considerate and wish I could have met her! I learned so much.

Professor Stevens has been the best professor I have had at CBC! She genuinely cares about her students and conveys information in a way that sticks in your brain. I have taken psych 100 and 200 with her and I wish I was still at CBC to take more with her. I have done my best learning in those classes and still haven't forgot the material taught!

Professor Stevens is very caring of her students. Even though I took this class online she still made it clear that we could stop by her office if we ever needed anything. She sent a message to the class almost every week as a reminder of what is due. When you turn in a paper she always responds with her comments so you can easily improve.

I LOVE Kay Lynn! At the beginning of the quarter she sets expectations for students and for herself to set the class up for success. She is very passionate, funny, and makes learning really fun. She has power points and many resources on Canvas. Dont stress about reading every day, but you will need to refer to the book. Incredibly nice woman!

Easiest class I have ever taken(online.) She is super nice and caring, only wants to see you succeed. The class is pretty easy, there are quizzes on chapters but not too many assignments. Definitely recommend online.

Amazing professor! Dont take this class online, you will learn more in class. 4 exams lowest dropped, 3 seminars lowest dropped. And gets grades in to canvas within the next day of turning in the test/assignment which was great! Id suggest taking the last exam its easy cause its over everything from the whole unit + its multiple choice

Best. Prof. Ever. Genuinely caring and makes class so fun and interesting! I feel like some profs pick favorites and she definitely doesn't, even the disruptive/immature students she was extremely kind and helpful towards. Info can be studied and memorized easily.

Prof Stevens is the best! She gives feedback on things you can improve on as well as what you have done good on. I have had her for 3 psych classes and would take her again in a heart beat. She wants you to succeed and does everything she can to make that happen.

I know I am only a freshman but this was the best teacher I have had here at this college. She is lecture heavy but all she does is care about her students success and even made Saturdays to stay and help through confusion topics and always answers questions no matter what. She is so dedicated to her job and grades tests fairly. Highly recommend.

She gave clear directions on what she wanted you do to for an assignment and she gave you feedback on every assignment. Only had one quiz which was the syllabus and orientation quiz. She was very fast about grading assignments and would send out announcements/reminders of when assignments were do.

Do your best, submit all assignments on time, and ask questions. I took her online, and would say take advantage of being able to take the quizzes as many times as you want. They were where I did most of my studying for the exams, and they are only available until the due dates. Dr Stevens is a very caring professor and wants students to succeed.

Dr. Stevens is an awesome professor. Not only is her class easy to navigate she provides multiple resources to be successful. She truly cares about her students and gives great feedback. All assignments/quizzes/exams are usually graded the next day.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Stevens. She is an absolute shining star. She is compassionate and truly wants her students to succeed. She doesn't look at us as students needing a grade, she views us as humans. I am going into nursing and she is so encouraging of my career path and even gave me another option to consider. LOVE!

Amazing teacher! She assigns a lot of reading material but as long as you read you should be fine. I took her class online and we typically had one quiz a week and a discussion. She does not have a final but participation is key. towards the end she does add extra credit as well.

Professor Stevens is probably one of the best professors you can take here. Her classes were so engaging that we would sometimes forget about the time. She is one of the most understanding and caring teachers there can be. She provides the textbook and extra clarification for the big assignment. Even tho I didn't get an A, I still learned so much.

She is so nice, caring, and understanding. There were 3 seminars and they were super easy, the most challenging part was writing the summary but you are never forced to talk. There were weekly quiz's but not too challenging. Only one big project but not to hard to handle.

Dr. Kay Lynn is an amazing professor. She truly cares and brings her passion to every lecture. We did a "flipped classroom" and it was made clear to us that our assignments were "low stakes" which was a blessing and took the pressure off allowing more room for discussion and understanding. I had never liked a psychology class until I took this one.

Dr. Stevens is an amazing teacher and I would take her time and time again. The group projects are daunting but a great way to discuss topics with classmates and potential future coworkers in your field.

She is so understanding and empathetic, I learned a lot from this class. You can easily receive a 4.0 if you do all the assignments and readings on top, I just unfortunately slacked.

Dr. Stevens is an amazing professor and i 100% recommend her! Her class was very easy going and she's very respectful. She replies to emails quickly and is very kind when replying or giving feedback. You should 100% read the chapters that are given and watch the videos that are given because the quizzes ask about things that Dr. Steven's says.

I had a great quarter with Professor Stevens. She is extremely caring and provides great feedback. She hosts weekly Zoom hours and is available even outside of those hours. She is a fair grader with clear grading criteria. You can tell she really loves her job.
