Sarvi is a GREAT professor. He is very clear and detailed about what he lectures on. The hmwk is only on what the lectures are about, no surprises. As for tests he provides a study guide which helps a great deal for the tests. Whats on the study guide will be on the test. He always makes sure to ask how if any had any questions with the hmwk.

I never understood math and professor Sarvi makes it so easy to understand. He breaks down the lecture and shows you a lot of examples which help out. He helps out with any homework questions and he does give out study guides before the test. Book is only used for homework and quizzes are once every 2-3 weeks. Homework and quizzes help your grade!!

"Master" Sarvi is awesome! He makes math seem like a walk in the park. Knows his stuff and is super chill. Do the homework and you will be fine.

I took Professor Sarvi for Math 50 and got a B, and I am also in his Math 70 class now. I would not have passed with any other instructor, but Professor Sarvi was very kind to go the extra mile to help me and other classmates. He was giving us his free time to make sure we understood the material. He really cares about his students!

There is no reason you can't get an A in this class, do the work & ask questions. Even if you bomb out on a test or two you can still pass the class if you turn in all the homework and show up to class. Professor Sarvi values participation and showing true effort. I am blessed to have taken him twice and look forward to taking him for Statistics.

Awesome professor taking him next semester for math 50 then 70 and so on easy as long as you pay attention to the lesson and do your HW and do well on your test you will pass. Lessons are very understandable but then again it is math 30.

I took Sarvi for Math 50 and decided to take him again for Math 70. He breaks everything down for you. Also gives a study guide that is similar to the exam. He is an awesome teacher. He provides all the information you need and will go out of his way to help you outside of class if you need the extra help. Take Him!!!

Sarvi is a great instructor. I don't understand why Rio has yet to make him a full time instructor. He gives homework daily and collects it every Monday. He also gives the entire class before starting lecture the opportunity to ask questions on any homework questions you had difficulty with! REALLY RECOMMEND SARVI!

Show up and learn the material. You might be lost if you miss lecture and you're not too shabby in math. He is very helpful and will explain anything you don't understand but he's very clear and teaches students in the most effective way. Study guides are amazing. I wish he taught math 130. Sarvi explains and gos through everything, and explains it very well. answers all the questions from his students so don't be shy and ask ask ask!! Sarvi is a good teacher for having so little experience. He tries to simplify every lecture and is clear on his expectations. If you come to class, take good notes, and study a little at home you should be able to pass his class without a problem. I enjoyed his lectures, despite how awful I am with math.

Honestly speaking, if you cannot pass his class, then you didn't put in the effort or time. I am one of many who hates math, upon taking his class I had extreme anxiety. However, prof Sarvi has a special technique with teaching math. He is definitely gifted at what he does. My only complaint is, he should make his examples as challenging as WebAssign.

Professor Sarvi is very organized and detail orientated in lecture so your notes are so clear to study and understand step by step. The pretest really helps to get you ready for the test he gives. Amount of homework given is fair. He's funny and really cares about his students.

Sarvi is a GREAT professor but he only has about 2 examples & expects the class to understand it in those 2 examples. If you ask he would always come up with some examples on the spot. The examples he gives are so much easier than the online work but its very easy. Study guides are exactly the same as the test just different numbers.

Sarvi is amazing! His lectures are easy to follow. He gives just the right amount of examples and always asks if you need more before he moves on. WebAssign problems are a bit harder, but it gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself. Plus he always gave immediate feedback though the website which a lot of other teachers don't do!

I have such a busy schedule, at times I was unable to make it to class, and i was still able to pass. Most important thing is to do the homework. Sarvi is by far my favorite professor at Rio Hondo College. No words can express how much thankful i am that i took his class. He is the funniest professor there ever is, truly cares for his students. All works are online, exams are on paper. He gives reviews for every exams and theyre similar to the real exam. definitely recommend Sarvi.

Amazing math teacher! I am not the biggest fan when it comes to math. He really breaks things dow,. doesn't get frustrated when everyone is asking multiple questions, he waits until everyone understands the problem until he moves on. I will def take him again if I can. Gives homework weekly, and had about 4 tests which were no more than 20 problems

Everyone told me Statistics is a difficult subject in the summer. However, he made sure you could understand the material. Notes were easy to understand, ask questions, do the homework and put the time in to study and you will pass. He realizes that math is not a subject for everyone but with the right mindset anything is possible.

BEST STATS PROFESSOR EVER! I was very nervous to take STATS especially in the summer. However, with Professor Sarvi he made it understandable and possible to get a good grade if you are willing to put in the work. He is very laid back and is always available for any questions. I recommend him 100%!

I am still in shock I passed stats in a summer course. Sarvi is really understanding and realizes that not all students are good test takers so he really takes into consideration if you are trying. This was my second time taking stats and this is the first math class that I actually understood the material and had confidence going in on test days. Requires the assess code, no book! The fill-in notes that he provides are a lifesaver and will help you with the hw and quizzes so keep all of them till the final! Gives accurate study guides!

I did take he's stats class, in the spring 2020 he was really good at explaining and answering any questions I had. I would highly recommended him for Stats. I had 2 different professors and they wanted to teach a certain way and we had to do it. I went ahead and dropped both of those Stats professors. Until I came across Sarvi. Great teacher.
