I really good teacher. He did his best to always help accommodate if you did not understand or needed extra guidance. The class is set up where if you participate, there is no way you won't make a good grade. I loved him, I really hope I can get him as my professor next semester.

He's an awesome teacher with a very easy class. Very helpful and gives lots of feedback. A very easy A or B if you do your work and follow his rubrics. Also has workshop papers that allow for 20 bonus points. Definitely would take again!

Lamle is a great professor to take. He gives 4 papers which are not tough at all. If you follow the guidelines he lays out, it is impossible to get less than an A. He also has 3 volunteers turn their rough drafts in early for each paper for 15 bonus points. You have participation grades but the only way to lose points is to skip class, so go.

Lamle is the coolest teacher I've ever had, he assigns papers that aren't that difficult and gives great feedback to help you become a better writer. There are no tests and our final was a discussion board question on D2L. He is very personable. I would totally take him again. Only 6 absences allowed in any english class for credit (state law).

By far one of the best professors I have ever had. All assignments are given in a timely manner and he goes above and beyond explaining how they should be done. Not one assignment was a waste of time, they are given for a reason. He LOVES class participation. He is extremely understanding and wants you to make a good grade in his class.

Great teacher! He's very helpful and very clear for every assignment! He's super hilarious and young, so he relates a lot to the students. Only 4 papers, which are very clear. I received A's on my papers, and a 100 on one specifically. Gives extra credit if you do workshop paper. He cuts class short, usually only was there for 30 minutes. Take him!

Prof. Lamle is the best English teacher I have ever had. He does an excellent job of explaining seemingly difficult concepts in a hilarious way. I hated English however, this became my favorite class and it is very engaging and entertaining. If you need to take an English class, take this guy. You wont regret it.

He gives you reading quizzes but you're never sure exactly when. You have to read before almost every class. But Lamle is HILARIOUS. All classes are discussion based so just participate. There are 4 papers but on topics of your choice. Very open with discussions and hes not stuck up!

This guy is a bit weird in terms of grading, he refuses to give out 100s unless the essay is good enough to be published. However, his lectures are really interesting and he is a nice guy!

Lamle is an awesome person. Really funny and awesome with relating to students. He has a clear grading criteria, but it is really really really hard to get an A on a paper. I am relatively a good writer, and I will be finishing the class with a B. However I have definitely learned a lot from prof. Lamle this semester.

Professor Lamle is the best professor I had this year. He is relatable since he's young. His lectures are honestly fun and half the time they're about sports or something funny in the media. Easy A if you show up and try.

Hybrid class. Gives enough work to make sure students know what they're doing, but does not over work. I barely passed papers in high school and by the end of the semester my final paper received a 97. (Grades as 70 meets standards) Very relaxed class environment and prof relates topics to students.

Prof. Lamle was great with reiterating the material to us in a funny, understandable way for his students. He is young so he knows about the things we do and uses it in his lectures. His hybrid class wasn't heavy on work in class nor out (it was reasonable). I enjoyed the laid back yet structured course. I am taking his hybrid again next semester.

Prof. Lamle is super chill! He makes participation less awkward and he is really easy to get a hold of. His hybrid class has a lot of discussion posts but they are very clear and make learning each section easier

He's super chill & tries to not make the workload too heavy. His papers aren't hard. I took his hybrid class & on the day we don't have class we do a reading & a discussion post which doesn't take longer than 30 minutes. He's pretty clear on what he wants in his papers & will help you until you understand. You do need books but they are cheap.

Professor Lamle is outstanding and did an awesome job of explaining the rubric and his expectations. This is still an English class, so I wouldn't call it an easy A. But, if you use the readings to help write your papers you will do great!

I love this professor! I took his hybrid class so that is why attendance counted. He is such an easy going professor, but gives you just enough work. He is by far one of my favorites. He is younger so he is understanding and super funny. You won't get lost in his lectures either, he keeps it interesting! 10/10 recommend...

I took Professor Lamle two semesters in a row and loved him! His lectures solidify the reading content. To be honest, you don't really have to read, ever. As long as you skim it, you will be fine. He gives great feedback on his papers and is a pretty easy grader. He is pretty funny too. Definitely take him if you have the chance!

One of the best professors I have ever taken! I made an A on every essay assignment because he made it pretty clear what he was looking for. I'm not much of a writer, but the assignments are pretty simple. Make sure you include his teachings in your essays and you'll be good. If you look hard enough, you can find a pdf of the books required.

He is possibly the best professor I ever had the pleasure of being taught by. He is so comical and understanding in the classroom while also maintaining a professional authority. He is always lax when it comes to teaching and the classroom feels so open and relaxed while he lectures or when discussions are happening. The assignments are so easy.

I loved this professor. He was engaging and amusing and reminded me of Andy from The Office. We had to write 3 papers during the semester which built up to one final paper. He gave amazing feedback on all papers. He made sure the discussions were interesting. You have to get 3 books, but I honestly felt like they made me a better writer.

There are 3 essays that lead to the final research paper. The essays aren't difficult, but if you are struggling, he is pretty easy to contact outside of class. He takes attendance, but his "lectures" are pretty relaxed. You have to buy the books, but they are actually interesting and helpful. Plus, he's one of the funniest profs I've ever had.

Hilarious guy & great professor! Goes over directions, you know exactly what to expect, I love that. You won't be confused about what you need to answer so you know how to get an A. Did hybrid class so attendance was mandatory but come on it's only once a week. Was available anytime. Very passionate about his job. Take him, you'll be glad you did!

4 papers with some other reading and discussion posts. The reading honestly helps make writing your essays better. The discussions sometimes came to an awkward silence but he would always crack a joke and get someone involved. Just make sure to never skip peer review day as this is very helpful and also for a grade.

Favorite professor so far. He's extremely engaging and gets everyone involved in discussions. Every class is Socratic-seminar style, which I loved. He's absolutely hilarious and is always willing to answer questions before/after class. Engage in class-that how you get on his good side right off the bat. He gives really good feedback on essays.

I would take this class 12 times over if I had to. He is very helpful with assignments, and really makes sure you understand. The in class lectures feel more like a conversation between him and the class filled with funny stories. You can tell he is passionate about english

Professor Lamle is such an amazing professor. If you are struggling in his class he is willing to work with you to help you improve your grade. My grade was a C for awhile and then we worked together to get me up to a high B. I wish more professors were like him.

Lamle takes attendance but you do not need to show up to pass at all. If you do the light reading and discussion posts he assigns for homework then you will pass. He is very generous when grading the four papers for his class. He is a young professor who is witty and funny. His lectures are a group discussion on the stuff you read the night before.

The class is entirely discussion based inside the classroom. Outside of class, it's a bunch of reading and quizzes and discussion boards. If you're willing to put in the effort, it's an easy class! But if you're not so good at reading into symbolism and deeper meanings, then this class isn't for you.

This course is very easy. You have about 2 assignments each week, write 4 essays in total and he is literally there to help. With papers, he requires rough drafts to help you out and discussion board assignments are based off the readings, so make sure you buy the 3 books !

Great professor and such an amazing teacher. For the end of the year research paper he let me talk with him about my topic. He talked me through many options and made sure I knew what I was doing. The books are definitely helpful and I would recommend getting them. I made an easy A!

Ive taken 1101 and 1102, Very easy grader, never gotten below a 98 on any assignment. However, never replied to a single email, didnt get grades back until near end of semester. You can tell his posted lectures vids are from 2018/19 and he hasnt bothered to update but his online format is easy to use and understand. A super easy A

He cares for students and actually gets out of his way to help.

Easy class, just do the work and you get an A. Id say I put in 2 hours per essay, totaling 8 hours for all 4, and then another 2 hours a week for the rest. It was extremely light work that didnt require much effort. Fun guy too, he clearly cares and wants you to succeed

He is a very good teacher and his class is fun. You would have to put in the work tho by doing the discussions and the essays, if you're someone like me that kinda struggles with english i'd recommend this class.

Lamle is an amazing professor! He is a great lecturer, provides a decent amount of bi-weekly work, and there were four essays total. He always answers emails, and the books we read for class were super fun! I would happily take this class again, and I highly recommend it!

Prof. Lamle was a really great professor for ENGL 1102. Lots of reading, lectures, and discussions. The occasional long writing exercises, and 4 papers, each of which we did peer review on. Very well organized course and really easy to pass with at least a high B as long as you do all of the work.

Hes a good professor with a well-organized and easy class to pass. Very slow grader though.

He understands the students

This prof is probably the best english teacher I've had. Everything was super clear and easy to follow, and he understand the students. We had 2 discussion boards every week and 4 papers with peer review. He always answers emails and leaves feedback on the essays. As long as you read, you'll understand the it all. Lectures are short but great!

Not sure where to start, he was awesome and easily my favorite professor for the semester. I usually zone out in lectures, but I am constantly listening because you never know what he will say next. He actually made me want to read the readings and he will call you out if he loves something you said in your weekly discussion post.

A great professor and teaches very well. Be ready to read 1 of the 5 textbooks every other night for the discussion posts that are due before class. 4 papers in total and he gives great feedback on what you did well and can approve on. All based on research, so have a good topic ready if you want to take this class.

quick rundown: -he says the book is required but to be 100% honest the entire semester i was bookless. if you know how to search stuff up and are good w keywords you'll be fine and won't even need the book. -he gives us 2 quizzes per week and one discussion everyweek so lots of hw. he's not too big on late work. he tries to stay "hip" so bad lolll

Class wasn't too bad, sometimes could be a lot of reading, but for the most time the class wasn't hard.

Simple course with clear expectations: read assigned section(s), watch video lectures, answer prompts in a disc. post twice a week. Before papers are due, he has volunteers submit drafts early for extra credit, which everyone submits revisions for, & you also do small group peer editing. Top complaint was no calendar alerts for disc. posts

i would take him again! you have roughly 3 assignments due per week, 1 paper, and 2 exams. no work in class all discussion based. he says the book is required but i didnt use it once because he provides the required readings! just make sure you go to class and pay attention to what youre reading, easy A!

Professor Lamle has clear grading criteria, and he is easy to work with. He gives great feedback on any of the papers you will have to write for his class. Overall 4 papers were involved. Everything you do helps prepare you for the next assignment given. As long as you do your work it is an easy A.

Prof. Lamle was a great teacher, all of his lectures were really interesting and he showed his interest and passion for the subject. As long as you read the material, this class is an easy A. He made an 8 am class really fun and engaging, and I would take another class from him without any hesitation.

I had Professor Lamle for the 8-week summer term. He gives clear instructions and is a fair grader. As long as you thoroughly answer the questions and do so on time, you will do very well in his course. I highly recommend Professor Lamle.

Definitely my favorite professor I've had for a gen-ed class. 3 reading assignments a week, so lots of grades, and he does take attendance. However, he makes class so engaging and interesting that you won't want to miss it. Aside from the class material being great, he is also a very caring and kind individual and is super easy to talk to.

Professor Lamle is a great English professor. We were assigned two weekly modules, each regularly containing some sort of reading and a discussion board, one due on Wednesday and the other due on Sunday. There were a total of 4 papers, each with clear instructions and ample time to be completed. The 5-star rating says it all, take him if you can.

Professor Lamle has been one of the best professors I've had at KSU. His class was not boring or overly difficult like many composition classes! He is a very approachable professor and will not judge you for asking questions. There were no tests or quizzes; it essentially was composed of 4 papers throughout, leading you to one final research paper.

Professor Lamle is an amazing teacher! He is super sweet, however the class was more work than I was expecting. You have reading, and a quiz or discussion due before each class. Attendance is a big part of your grade. This is expected of an English class but just a heads up! I spent $60 on the textbook but you can find the readings online!

Really good teacher. Very straightforward module layouts and the stuff we read is pretty interesting. He posts short videos to accompany our reading and he gives really good insight and knowledge. I really only have to work on this class 4 hours a week and we have four papers over the course of the semester. Definitely take Professor Lamle.

Mr. Lamle is a great professor. As a high schooler taking his class with dual enrollment, rest assured that you will not be taking up a class that will be stressful or require a lot of time. I have stuff due two days a week and they dont usually take long to complete. Hes also really great with feedback and his video lectures are really engaging.

My favorite professor, he responds quickly and is very helpful no matter what you're asking. He gives good feedback on papers. 4 papers, two discussion posts due each week. The only thing is make sure you watch his lecture videos because he grades on class participation. I would take him again if I could.

This professor was absolutely amazing and if you are looking for a professor PLEASE STOP HERE. He gives lots of extra credit opportunities through his quizzes and he only has ONE paper. I did it in just a couple hours and got an easy A. He does have homework due every couple days, but it is very simple and easy. You do need to show up to class.

Let me just say that Professor Lamle is excellent at his job. His grading is extremely fair, the lectures are interesting and cut to the chase, the workload is quite manageable, and he's responsive with great feedback. I truly have nothing negative to say about him. I highly suggest taking one of his classes.

Professor Lamle was honestly a joy to have. He gave really good feedback and the syllabus we where given at the beginning of the class was helpful. This along with his willingness for scheduled appointments to discuss questions you have, and clear grading rubrics make it very easy to do well in the class. Just make sure to stay on top of the work.

I loved this professor! He was super understanding and willing to always help. There were discussion posts and 4 essays along with a few smaller assignments. This course was not too bad in work, as long as you keep up on it. He offered extra credit at the end of class. No lockdown browsers. He does us Turnitin for essays. Definitely recommend!

Professor Lamle was awesome! He made my First year of college extremely easy. He gave five minute lectures each segment (two segments a week). 4 essays (#4 was the final) and required peer reviews. Overall, 10/10.

Professor Lamle is a good professor and a very easy grader. However, I would say about 90 percent of my work this semester was from his class. His modules sometimes take hours to complete and I feel that they aren't super beneficial or necessary. That being said, he's very kind and good at starting conversations.

Took this as a senior because I still had some req classes left. Lots of reading (assignments twice a week) and writing, but it was bearable. I ended up enjoying a lot of stories. Had both a final exam and a paper, but they weren't too demanding. Mr. Lamle is super chill and “millennial” lol. His lectures were interesting and he's communicative!

Professor Lamle puts his students first and is genuinely passionate during his lectures. We met once a week for discussion, but had two modules to complete outside of class. He also requires 4 books for the class, but you can easily find PDFs for each of them. Overall, this professor truly cares and only wants the best for his students.

Professor Lamle is an amazing English Professor. He is somewhat caring and considerate to student requests. He responded to my emails within 48 hours. It is not difficult to get an A in his class assuming you don't use AI. That being said, He assigns A TON OF HOMEWORK. Be prepared to WRITE because the class is basically graded by forms of writing.

Professor Lamel was not only caring and academically considerate, but also an interesting and impactful professor to have. His open mind and ability to listen to his students' feedback help the class feel like more than just a classroom. He has fascinating lectures that always keep me engaged, and overall, one of the best professors I've had.
