Take this professor if you want to understand math and are afraid of math. I hate math, however she helped me step by step. I helped myself by studying and i passed the class. She does have an accent but you can clearly understand her, she's funny and enjoys teaching. Thanks Professor Lam!! Now I'm on to conquer math 125. Wish she taught that!!!!

After having dealt with a nightmare older teacher who didn't want to be there. I feel I really lucked out with her! I ended up with a C but only because I just got to nervous on the final. She is a great teacher to learn any Math. Plus, she is a total hottie!

Professor Lam is an energetic lecturer. She keeps her students engaged and takes her time to explain if anyone needs to go back over a point. She is very flexible and will work with you if she feels that you are really working and not just trying to snow her. I took her for two levels and would have taken her again if I could have. Definitely a great professor to take for lower math courses! If you're not biased towards her accent which is much better now she will definitely keep you interested and explain the lectures thoroughly. She ignores MathXL (THANK GOD) and goes for traditional handwritten homework weekly which helps input the material. I highly recommend her!

One of my fav teachers at LACC! She's hilarious and really helpful. There were tons of homewoks but they weren't that hard. There were about 6-7 quizes and 5 tests, not including the common final. Just don't forget to review before the test! :)

Professor Lam, is very systematic in her teaching so you are able to follow the mathematical problem after class. Uses a tablet & software called Doceri when teaching, so basically you have the notes online to refer to after class. Advise, listen in class and take note of the summary slides that she provides. Alot of home work which is helpful.

If you need to take math 125 take it with Prof. Lam. She really goes out of her way to help her students as much as possible. Don't be afraid to ask for help she is willing to help you understand the material. Math 125 is a tough class but if you take her you will learn a lot. Amazing professor. Highly recommend!

I took math 112 twice with different teachers and failed. I was on the verge of giving up until I met Lam. She takes the time to help her students understand the material. I also want to add that she is a patient wonderful teacher who cares about her work and will do everything in her power to help you pass. I am thankful for this professor.

Her lectures are very clear and accessible from her website. Tests are very doable and don't drag on forever. You do need to study and work to pass but she will make it as easy as possible.

She does all of her lectures on an iPad projected in front of the class & uploads them to her website right after class for review. Writes all her own exams. Take her!!! But, hop to it. She actually listens to you if you have a problem. Her office hours are at a good time so you can actually see her. During class if you are having problems understanding a section she will take her time to go over it with you and the class as well. She is the BEST!!!

11 units,7exams-50 points each, final 100 points, HW from textbook due on exam day. There are also a couple in class partner assignments. Each exam has no more than 2 units. Took Stats before with someone else, & dropped it because it felt hard to me & was not doing well. With her, it seemed very easy & keep in mind that this a fast-paced summer class! She is organized & amazing at explaining the concepts. Only reason I didn't get an A was because I didn't review for the final. First time NOT getting a C in math.

You know your teacher is amazing when she can get a student who hates math and has never been great at it to get an A - in a 5 week summer course! I took Professor Lam last fall for 112 and she was very helpful. I'm brain dead when it comes to math and I always make stupid errors on tests. She doesn't grade harshly on tests. I took Professor Kee Lam for Intermediate Algebra. She was very clear and answered questions in her lectures. She has a nice sense of humor too. Attendance is important if math is hard for you and if you don't want to get dropped from missing too many classes. Despite Math being difficult for me, I got an A in part bc of her teaching style.

Do everything in your power to get into her class! If you do not pass her class, it's literally because you did not try AT ALL! She wants you to pass her class, and will help and discuss and break everything down for you. I took her for Stats and there is literally no one else who could break it down like she does. Easy class if you keep up with the work. Not difficult to under the math. Shes very understanding when you talk to her about making up work such as opening quizzes for you to retake. The hw stays open but its better to do it when required so it wont pile up.

I just took Professor Lam's intermediate algebra during winter. I have not had a math class in over 5 years, taking a 5 week course was probably a terrible idea. Which it was. I got a D but Professor Lam is great, I wish it was a full length course because she is a great teacher. I have a new fondness for math! Extra credit is available- DO IT!

I have severe math anxiety and most math professors are really hard for me to deal with, Ms. Lam is truly one in a million. She blends her lectures with homework on Khan Academy and that gives you the ability to really retain what is being taught. She's awesome.

i have not done a math problem since high school, ms lam explains math in understandable words. home work is doen through the computer so its easy, home work can take up to an 30mins to an hour depending on your math level. over all I got an A.

I took prof. Lam for an intersession Trig class. She is very thoughtful and engaging. She has a clever sense of humor and makes her lectures interesting. She recognizes hard work and tries her best to help you if she sees that you're trying.

I didn't even do well in this class but I am still writing a good review. That's how good she is. I like the way she teaches, no sidetracking. Just straight math. She can tell little jokes that will pass you by if you're not paying attention. Gives good test prep. Shortish tests. Not too easy though.

Professor Lam is amazing at explaining math her online lectures videos are short & easy to understand. If youre not great with math REVIEW algebra before taking trig/geo it will show up. She offers plenty of extra credit for summer online class. You must study & practice a lot in order to pass. She puts in the grades which is determined by YOU.

I took a fast paced statistics class with professor Lam and I can honestly say that she is very organized and she is really good at explaining the problems and solutions. She goes straight to the point and offers extra credit. She made math not too much of a bad experience.

Professor Lam is amazing and very thorough! She makes you participate and has pre-recorded lecture videos to review for help. There are 6 exams plus a cumulative final. Between those are small quizzes for each section in the covered chapters, a weekly discussion, and a homework assignment covering all sections discussed before an exam.

If you do not understand anything you have to ask questions right the way. She gives extra credit and study guide before the test. I really like her a lot. Professor Lam is a great professor. I took Math261/calculus1 with her in summer semester and passed with a A+. I think as long as you follow her instructions and you will eventually get pass this class. She gives exam study guide early every exam and encourages student participated with extra credit in the class. No doubt, you should take with her.

Professor Lam is an amazing professor. I took her for Math 262 and found her to be tough but fair. Her exams get a little difficult towards the end, but if you study and do all the homework you should have no trouble passing this class. 3 Exams and 1 final. The only thing I didn't like was that she gave no study guides. Gives group problems weekly.

Due to test weighted grades (3 tests 50% & final 25%), it's really hard to maintain a high grade. But the best part, she rounded a lot of student's grades to those who were close to the next grade. The tests are tedious, but she is a fair grader. It's not an easy A, but what you get out of the class is really what you put in. Good luck!

I took Professor Lam for Calc 2 and she was nothing short of amazing. I have always struggled in math so going into 262 I was anxious, but she put my mind at ease with how her course was set up. 4 exams and a final, attendance is a must because it can potentially make a letter grade difference. If you have an opportunity to take her, do it!

Professor Lam genuinely cares about her students and what she teaches. She grades exams based off of your understanding of the material rather than seriously punishing a simple mistake. Great amount of extra credit that comes with participation as well. One of the greatest Professors that I have had. Obviously you have to put in effort as well.

Professor Lam teaches statistics through online lectures and assigns light homework and you're able to submit late assignments a week later without penalty. You can go to her zoom office hours or schedule an appointment with her. You'll easily get a B or A. For the tests she has practice tests available too. She's great.

It's an online course, do the lectures and hw. 4 exams total. Fairly easy to follow the modules. Offers extra credit by taking tutoring. Responds to emails fairly quickly. Would really recommend.

Prof. Lam is what I look for in a math class: a clear overview of tests and hw, understandable teaching, and opportunities to correct your grade. You know what to expect, and all you need to do is follow up with the material. Gives extra credit points for exams and final with tutoring and participation.
