He gives you all the notes you need for each class. Fun class discussions and activities. Will help you any way he can. Very cool. Tests aren't hard if you go over your notes. I'd recommend his classes to anyone that needs a psych course.

This was an amazing class. It's rare to find a professor with the ability to reach and relate to students the way he does. The class challenges many of the preconceived notions individuals have about race and culture. I strongly recommend this course and profesor. He is fair, intelligent and incredibly hot (which is an added bonus)!

If you need an easy "A" take anything he offers. He doesn't make you buy a book and gives you notes, which is very awesome. However most of his classes seem to be alot alike where the same thing is repeated over and over and many discussion topics usually degenerate into alot of frustrating ignorance. Solid instructor, Keelon provides stimmulating insight while teaching the relevant material and current scholary theory & research. Some may rate Keelon as horrid/explicit with a bad teaching style. In response to that, everything is not all textbook. Hinton is bringing real life experience and interaction to the class room..isn't that learning?

He gave handouts instead of using the textbook (saved me like $70). he was very clear and told great jokes to make us laugh, to connect with us. He told jokes that we could get. He is worth scheduling your classes so you can have him.

I took psy 311 and psy 475 and his lectures are awesome. In psy 311 he gives you notes and the notes are on what is on the exam. Psy 475 is easy make sure you read the articles he gives you and pay attention in class and participate and you will do well.

His class is more participation and attendance based than anything, couple papers and quizzes on articles he sent via email, but not much. Prof. Hinton is amazing! Available anytime. Has multiple study sessions for exams. The math isn't hard, but you need to go to class to understand the steps. There is a sign in sheet for each class. There is homework to go along w/ each step but it helps you to do it. Easy Stats class!

The class was not very organized and where attendance isn't required, its easy to get behind, and he never responds to emails. If you DO attend class and study, then this would be an easy A, however, I was too lazy to go to class, and I ended up failing. He is very inspirational and hilarious!!

If you want to pass this class, you must attend. His attendance policy is very strict, and if you miss too many days, you will fail regardless of how you did in the course. However, the homework and assignments and papers arent challenging; give an effort on them, and hes a quite lenient grader. If he asks you to do something or read, do it.

Dr. Hinton made it very clear that we had to pay attention to the lectures to pass the class. He was very willing to help if needed, but he made it very clear that the grade would have to be earned. The concepts of the class are a bit confusing, but he is great at explaining them and answering questions. He gives 4 exams and homework for each.

Dr. Hinton understands that the math of statistics can be difficult but that is why he goes step by step on each problem and makes sure everyone understands before continuing. To be honest, he is such a joy of a professor to have, even if he is just teaching statistics. You can use your notes on the exams which are online, and go by the lectures.

Hinton is absolutely hilarious and gets off topic but in the best way and is not afraid to poke fun at relationships and child development in general. I enjoy going to his classes and his test are open note that you do at home so easy!

I like Dr. Hinton, but if you want to learn in depth, he might not be the professor for you. I would never take him for something like stats or abnormal psych if his lecture style stays consistent. He's funny and gives great life advice, I guess that's what happens when you're also a therapist, but I don't feel I learned much. Easy A though.

As long as you show up and listen during class and do assignments you will pass. You can miss up to 2 classes before it effects your grade. 2 major assignments including the final paper which is 3 pgs. Overall, I enjoyed this films class and it opened my eyes to a lot of symbolism in movies. As enjoyable and easy as a class for an elective can be!

The only people complaining about this class probably got caught cheating lol Almost 200 extra credit points. Lectures are step by step. Uploads lecture so you can go back and watch later. Follow the steps he shows you and you will be fine. With all the extra credit it is almost impossible to fail. He is probably your best bet for stats.

I failed this class before I took him. Lectures are clear, he explains things well, and he puts lectures online. Do the extra credit and you should have no problem passing. I would take him again.

Professor Hinton was very kind and made very difficult mathematic concepts easy to understand. I am not at all a math, let alone stats, person. Despite that, Professor Hinton enabled me to easily understand concepts and equations that would have otherwise been scary to even look at.

I loved his cinema symbolism class this semester. The class was really easy to follow and had good rubrics for assignments. However, this man was very hard to reach outside of class if I had questions. A few of my friends thought this as well. Overall, I would take this class again!

Professor Hinton's PSY223 can be challenging, but his step-by-step lectures make complex stats concepts manageable. Use unstuck AI and the free textbook to stay on track. Attend classes, do extra credit, and you'll likely do well.

The class itself is based off of only three exams along with the scratch work and homework to go along with them. He makes it very easy to follow along with the class material, and offers A LOT of extra credit. I recommend taking him!

PSY425 - Psychology of Cinema Symbolism. Watch a movie at home, write about what you saw, watch another movie in class, talk about what you saw. Wash Rinse Repeat each week. Easiest class all year, and discussions were always deeply insightful. His criteria are firm but fair: if you try, you get 100s. If you don't try, you get 0s. Highly Recommend.

For the only course, Dr. Hinton gave module lectures and study guides that covered everything one could expect to see on an exam. His lectures, while sometimes, random, provided a good foundation for other material. There were additional discussions that also called for an opinion. This was a very casual course. Do the work and you will do great!

This class was online with no book, so it was sort of vague material-wise. There are recorded lectures and PDFs with chapter notes to prep for each unit. There were 2 discussion posts for this class, which I enjoyed and found applicable to the material. There were 3 exams and one final paper, which ended up making the course pretty easy to finish.

2 Discussion posts, 3 tests, and a final paper. Not too bad assignment wise. Lectures are more to make you think and apply knowledge. Can watch at any time. Assignments weren't graded harshly, would recommend.

Do your work, enjoy the lectures. He's fun! Sometimes slow to respond to emails, but personally, he returned 2/2 of my emails when I needed it. Simple A and informative.
