Kopecky is the best teacher I've ever had. You really have to study to learn all the material he teaches, but he is the most helpful teacher I've met. He taught me how to study successfully by spending three hours a week going over the material outside of class time! I truly thank him.

Very good teacher. Of course the material is difficult, but will meet you anytime you need help as long as you ask. If you ask for the help, especially before a test, he will help you learn and memorize everything you need to know. An A is easily reachable.

Keet is the best teacher at Longview. He is super helpful and clear. His material is very hard and tedious, but it was a Botany class. I was an accounting student that accidently took the class and he helped me understand the material the whole way through the class.There are not enough words tosay.

Mr. Kopecky is great! I am not a science person, but I loved his class. He made the material very interesting and fun. The course involves a lot of work and memorization. He had quite a few pop quizzes at the beginning of class. Take them seriously; they add up to a test score. Keet has very high expectations for his students. Don't slack off.

Wonderful teacher. He likes boys more than girls, but Biology was not my cup of tea and he gave me a B in the class. Funniest teacher I've ever had, and I actually learned a lot and it was interesting. He wants his students to succeed and is an awesome teacher.

He makes it easy to learn difficult material. The way he explains things just makes then stick in your head. You really do have to study for his classes but he makes it fun and you come away smarter than when you came. Take his class if possible.

I really like Kopecky. He is a brilliant man, he knows everything! I've heard that he doesn't like girls but he seemed to like me just fine. He made the class VERY interesting and fun! He made things especially easy to remember. Although the class iis a hard class and you have to study to pass. He does give extra credit opportunities. I loved him!

Kopecky is a rare teacher. I got to know him 8 years ago when taking Zoology and Botany and today, I'm going into law, I take what he has provided and carry it where ever i go. Mr. Kopecky is by far the best instructor I have had in my 3 years at MCC. he shows an enthusiasm that makes you want to learn what he is teaching. everything is drawn out on the board for you to take notes on, and he never tests you on random things that he didn't cover in class. studing is a must, bust everything needed for studing is given to u.

He taught me not only bioloby but how to learn. listen to what he says about learning and follow it, I never studied hours b4 a test and got an A on all of them. By far, the most entertaining teacher I ever had! He is hilarious and speaks in a way that catches your attention and helps you learn. His class is not one for slacking off, so if you want to get a good grade, you have to study and earn it. You learn a lot from his class. Highly recommended for those who are going into the medical field.

I took kopecky for Zoology and became enamored with his style of instruction. i then took a higher level biology class, ecology, the class was scheduled for 2 hrs. and regularly ran for between 20 and 40 mins. A waste of my money but i still ended up with an A. do not expect him to admonish anyone on the longview baseball team for immaturity.

I was totally dreading this class but Kopecky made it so much fun. He made everything easy to understand and he's hilarious. He's not an easy A, you do have to work he is very helpful though. By far the best teacher I've ever had and probably will have. I'm actually sad the class I was dreading is over :(

Very organized! I love how much structue goes into his lesson plans. The trips off campus to the nature centers are great! Every science teacher should teach as well as Mr.Kopecky.

Very funny, nice and engaging teacher. I want to take him for a science class now. He is difficult to talk to though, because he is never in his office and never checks him office phone. He also likes to text people a lot, which creates problems for students who don't believe in texting.

Field Biology class to Costa Rica. It was a good adventure. He was a great guide through that country and I learned alot. Keet was easy to travel with and that is saying alot considering all the personalties. Hiking paths are narrow so you'll miss what he is saying sometimes. Just the way it is..

Kopecky is so funny! His lectures keep you awake and engaged. He definately makes boring topics more interesting. Read the book and study notes. Lab exams are easy! You get plenty of practice beforehand. He's the best!

This is my fourth class I have taken with Mr. Kopecky. He is an astounding teacher. His lectures are very interesting, he is funny and very intelligent. If you are struggling he is always willing to clarify things and help you in any way. If you have the opportunity to take any Biology class with this teacher, it is highly recommended.

Kopecky is incredibly knowledgeable about his subject and extremely hilarious. I would highly recommend taking Kopecky for Biology 101. The class is still fairly difficult though.

Science classes aren't easy but Mr Kopecky helps you understand and memorize. Take good notes! He likes the athletes because he is their adviser and already knows them. However if you are respectful and approach him with questions he will help you in any way he can! I have never enjoyed a science class as much as I did with Kopecky! Take him!

Kopecky teaches a very structured, difficult and educational class. Study his premade notes and your notes and you will do well on lecture tests, be prepared to memorize hundreds of animal and plant parts in lab, and above all sign your name on the microscope check list every day you have a microscope activity because it is worth 9% of your grade!

He is a very interesting teacher. I hate science but he makes things interesting. He is very helpful and is the head of so many different things, he truly is devoted to teaching hungry minds. I would definitely set up a study session with him and other students before each test because they can be quite difficult. Overall he is a great teacher.

Great teacher. Very good at lecturing and if you ask questions he will answer them in more detail so that you understand. He is very straight forward and tells you how to pass his class. If you don't do what's required then that's on you. He drops 1 or 2 test scores for you. Lab was very helpful for studying. Stay to study, I promise it will help!

I am astonished by how well I am doing in this class. He is definitely a great teacher and if you put in the work to study you will get an A or B in the class. read both the lecture and typed up notes. he drops 2 tests. what more could you ask for! study hard and it should be an easy A!

Great teacher that makes each class fly by. Always takes the time to answer questions thoroughly, no matter how big or small. He seems truly interested in all of his students succeeding. The class is not hard, but a ton of material gets covered. You definitely need to study a lot from the beginning through the end. Show up for all classes!

Professor Kopecky is by far the best professor I've had here. He genuinely cares about all of his students and makes his lectures both interesting and informative. I wish I had taken more classes with him when I had the chance. I hope that I can continue to be inspired by this great man even after I no longer attend school here.

There is a lot of memorizing, including on the spelling, but he is very funny and entertaining. He makes it very clear what he is looking for making the tests without any surprises. Requires a decent amount of work outside of class but you will definitely learn a lot! He is one professor I consider almost a friend and I highly suggest taking him.

Kopecky is a fantastically interesting professor and is well worth your time. He always makes class interesting, and does not look down on students for asking questions. Tests are 100% from lecture; do not bother reading the textbook. You will need it as a reference in class, however. Take very thorough notes on the lectures and you will pass.

This professor was absolutely tremendous. It was great having him in Botany and Zoology, both the classes were quite the journey. One of the best professors I've certainly had in a long time. Dr. Kopecky is full of exciting stories and adventures he has embarked on in his previous years. Plus, his knowledge is absolutely outstanding on the topic.

Dr. Kopecky is willing to help if you make an effort. He was humorous and enthusiastic about his classes. Make sure to really pay attention to his lectures, and a voice recorder on your phone is helpful! The hardest part is remembering everything for lecture and lab exams. Textbook used as reference. Best choice I ever made was to take his class!

Kopecky is an incredible professor who is supremely knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff and gives you everything you need to get an A! However, there is quite a bit of studying that is necessary outside of class, just staying for the entire lab is worth it!

Mr Kopecky is an amazing teacher! He class is very interesting. We take notes but he also lets you record his lectures most material is over lectures and the note binder he provides. As long as you pay attention and find a good study partner you will be fine! Make sure you study at least an hour a day.

Professor Kopecky is very knowledgeable, hilarious, and passionate about biology. Those who say he is disrespectful more than likely ignored the simple rules he laid out and could not handle being held accountable for their actions. Study daily, and record his lectures. He does not favor anyone; however, if you work hard he will show you respect.

Kopecky is an outstanding professor, he's always willing to help you with questions and tries to make lectures more funny and less awkward for us. His exams are straight forward and I recommend recording his lectures. He does write the main points on the board but also says stuff that are important for exams. Study to learn, not to memorize.

Dr. Kopecky is a really kind and interesting guy, but his classes tend to be very difficult. The only thing you're graded on are the tests, which are pretty difficult if you haven't been studying hard over every single little thing that was said in class, and some things you would have had to read on your own. Professor Kopecky's lectures are interesting and hilarious. He isn't afraid to crack jokes and laugh with the class. Attendance to every class is key considering there is a lot of information covered in just one class. Tests are pretty tricky, but if you study information covered in class then you should be okay. Definitely recommend taking him!

Professor Kopecky is a unique teacher. He is extremely animated and makes class nothing short of entertaining. He is highly intelligent, which sometimes seem condescending when students ask questions. Grades are only over exams and he does take off points for spelling, so studying is an absolute must. Overall, I would probably take him again.

Classes are online because of covid, so for this class he just posts the unit notes for each test. They're very precise and it's exactly what you need to know for the test so tests aren't too bad. Your grade is based ONLY on tests so wouldn't recommend if you're a bad test taker. Overall, pretty easy class this semester

35 years later, I still remember Keet's amazing lectures and drawings when he was a biology lab instructor at UMKC. His lectures and drawings were amazing. The basic sciences are critical to develop good judgement and diagnostic skills in the clinical setting. I saw 2 CN VI palsies in my office last week and remembered his drawing of the cn's.

This class is about as easy as you'd expect a biology class to be. Lots of reading and studying but if you do that, you'll be fine. There's labs on Labster and self done, theres 1 paper and 1 presentation, and 5 exams and 1 final. Other than that no homework in between. Clear due dates and easy to contact. Overall an awesome teacher!

Very straightforward. Would highly recommend him. Does not put much stress on you with homework like other professors. Graded only by test and attendance.

All we had were about 4 or 5 tests and then points for checking in each week. He would give you the notes, you study and pretty much memorize them and then take the test 2 weeks later. It was pretty easy being online but I imagine in person would be much harder. I would take his class again. He is available for questions and wants you to succeed.

Kopecky is great! An online class I for sure learned information from. He's a really nice guy and helps with anything he can do if you're struggling. If you have a problem with him - it's for sure a personal problem because he and his class was great.

There was no homework except studying, and notes are already made so you can focus on the material easier. Mr. Kopecky makes sure everyone can be successful. I really enjoy being in his class. Passed class with an A. Don't need textbook unless you like pictures. Tests come from notes which are posted in the beginning of every unit. Follow the notes during lecture. Lots of memorization. Content heavy fs, but Mr. Kopecky truly does make the class fun! He's also in charge of the Honors Program, so I'd ask questions and engage!

Pretty straightforward class. Only graded on attendance and tests. You have to show up at least once a week to get points. All the notes are prewritten which is helpful. You MUST study the notes to get good test scores because that is the main thing you are graded on. Some tests cover A LOT of material which can be difficult.

Mr. Kopecky wants you to succeed and he does what he can to help make that happen! All notes are typed out and everything on tests is in the notes. His lectures are great and he is wonderful at explaining the content of the course. Grades come straight from attendance and tests. He is a very animated and fun character, and I enjoyed this class.

Keet makes class very simple. He gives a lecture, you take notes, study those notes, and take a test. That's it. He's really quirky and funny, but also very smart and informational. 50 Q tests, it's a little hard, but not if you study really well. My only complaint: in some units there is !A LOT! of material to remember. I would still recommend.

Very easy online class with well prepared notes provided by the professor. Leaves no secret as to what will be on the exam.

Very kind professor who centers the exams around the textbook. As long as you thoroughly study the textbook you're good! He graded on the curve, and had many written questions but all were easy to understand and complete provided that you read the material. I would definitely take him again.
