Cosand is very friendly and she explains things in deatail, so it is easy to understand. I suggest taking her for eng 100 or eng 110. Her course was intrestring and very fun(Not Boring like most english courses).

I took Cosands class in the winter intersession. She was great. I love the way she teaches and she truly loves her job. I was able to learn how to write better papers and enjoy it at the same time.

She was an okay eng 110 teacher. Grades Essay pretty easy if you follow the directions and have little to none grammar problems. Use your Thesaurus! Do all journals and do extra credit. You can get a A/B for sure.

Fairly easy. 4 in and out of class essays (research paper included). Quiz -- every other class meeting. Easy stuff, that is if you'd read! Lots of class discussion involved. PARTICIPATION IS A MUSTTT ^.^

The class is a little bit challenging, but Cosand will try her best to make her students understand everything that is covered. She is one of the best professors and she tells REALLY random funny stories!! you'll love it!

She's a great teacher! Her class has a lot of stuff to do but it's not so hard. She gives quiz on the reading, but it wouldn't be hard and affect your grade. 4 in-class essays, but you got to pick the highest score. Actually, I disagree completely. I BECAME a very good writer BECAUSE of Professor Cosand. My essays were all over the place until I took her. If you are a bad writer you SHOULD take her. She is a very sweet lady, always willing to help, even lets you out early if you take the 3 hour night class

Mrs. Cosand's class was great. Pretty entertaining and the essays were not that bad. Attendance is mandatory and there are weekly quizzes along with in-class essays.

Mrs Cosand is a very helpful teacher, you will not find anyone in the GWC english department that explains the material throughly before an assignment is due. She sincerely seems to want her students to better their writing skills and she definetely helped me. I really enjoyed her class. She may seemed tough but she only writes based on your work.

Keisha is amazing!!! On the first day of class the workload seems very heavy. But the class is more than manageable. She will look over your paper with you and is very nice and helpful. She offers some extra credit which really bumps up your grade. The writing assignments are fun to write! Never boring. Group orientated class. I learned so much!

If you do not like group work, I would not reccomend her. Her lectures are very easy and not very boring. All the homework was out of the text book. I enjoyed her class, except for the group work part. I reccomend you take her if you are looking for a great teacher.

I loved her! Great teacher. Theres a lot of work, some homework, a few big essays and some reading and short quizzes every week. It wasnt that hard though, shes there if you need help, and grades really easily as long as you do your work. You have to show up to class or you get minus points. I got an A in her class easily. Def. reccommend her!

She doesn't merely teach you English, she teaches you values, skills, and things that are more valuable than gold or silver. Professor Cosand is amazing! I loved her from the start, she is sweet and has a good sense of humor. Her class has a fair workload, nothing too crazy and the grade you recieve is up to you. You use your textbook every other week and have to read 50 pages a week which isn't all that bad and then do weekly journals on your reading! take her!

Cosand is tough but fair, and really nice. Take her if you have decent writing skills and are willing to improve because she is very willing to help. 3 essays, 1 research paper, 3 in class essays and journals just about every week. If you don't have the time to write good essays, I suggest not taking her.

You'll build a strong foundation to critical thinking and writing which will help you to do well in other courses that require any writing + in real life.

Taking Mrs. Cosands class is a must ! took her for both english 99 and 100 and my writing has improved. She's super sweet and actually cares about her students. Her work load is very consistent, journals and penguins every week which are both super easy. Easy A as long as you do the work !

Probably the best professor i had all semester! Kept class very interesting and a joy to attend. She lays out a syllabus and adheres to it, keeping your schedule from getting chaotic. If she does veer from it, she will notify you in advance. She does give a lot of work, but none too hard. Assigns fun essay topics.

Professor Cosand is a jovial instructor. She adheres to the syllabus. You definitely will use the textbooks the whole semester. Weekly quizzes based off reading's assigned along weekly grammer assignments. 4 take home essays and 4 in class essays. Don't worry Professor Cosand will show you how to construct effective essays.

I've been taking Keisha for 3 classes, 099, 100, 110. Not because of her hotness but she is a fair grader and helpful as well. I am not a good writer to be honest, my highest essay grade is only 82 but I still get an A in her classes cause I always do assignments she assigned. She lets you use your journals on quizzes and tests! Professor Cosand grades fairly and offers extra credit opportunities on every quiz. You'll definitely learn a lot from her, but you're also going to have to trade some time for that A. Readings are fun, too. Overall, I highly recommend her.

I never liked literature in general but Keisha has great enthusiasm when it comes to literature and the readings. She is super helpful. She gives great feedback on essays and allows you to revise your final essays for a better grade. Overall, I have never had this great of an experience in an english class and cannot recommend her enough!

Best teacher i have ever encountered. extremely helpful. grades essays one class period before and gives them back and allows u to change her marks for the final paper. (pretty much gives you an A if you try). 50 points of extra credit allowed. quizs on readings every week but super simpleeasy 20 points and if u dont read she will still give u 10

Keisha is a great prof! You have to have the book in order to get through the class. No tests, but 3 in class essays and 3 out of class essays ; one being the final research paper. She's so kind and funny! If you're unsure who to take, take Keisha. She's the best!

Cosand is a great professor, she knows her material and is always there after class to answer any questions. Homework & quiz every week, but they are very easy, as long as you showed you did the reading then easy full credit. There were 3 in class essay and 3 take home essay, the last take home essay is a 10 page research paper. Passed with an A

Took her for English Freshmen Composition class and was fun and she was clear in her lectures. She grades kind of easy on her essays. On her final, if you would get an A in her class entire semester she would tell you that you will not have to take the final because you have proven that you know the material already. 1110 would take again

Keisha is the BEST teacher. You have hw every week but it is super simple, you have 2 outside essays, and 2 essays in class that are apart of the midterm and final. She is awesome, and if you go to her office hours she will help you with your essay, but you DO have to put in time. Easy class if you do all your hw and are diligent.

I was not confident going into English this semester, but after taking this class I feel strong as a writer (and adore Professor Cosand) She will help you with each of your essays during office hours. She is really helpful , and not a harsh grader. You can tell she really loves to help her students. This class does require a textbook but its only 10 dollars on amazon. There are weekly readings (easy) , 3 in class essays (the last one is optional) & 3 major papers. I really enjoyed this class she's a great teacher !

Mrs. Cosand was a great instructor and very kind person, it's too bad she isn't teaching 110 this fall. The assignments and frequent group work center around current social issues. My only criticism is the vague, sprawling homework questions that end up longer than essays. Textbook articles are easily taken to task if you're not left-leaning ;)

You have to pass all 3 out of class essays and 2 in-class. She will give very detailed comments on each essay. It helps you a lot.

She is an amazing professor!!! However this class is not a walk in the park you must show up to class or you will be dropped if you miss more than 4 classes. She goes over all the paper prompts in class with you so it is clear for when you are at home. Lots of homework and papers. If you struggle in writing papers or english then Cosand is for you!

THE BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD. Thoroughly teaches all curriculum making the work easy and enjoyable. If something was not understood she took the extra time to explain it. Ms. Cosand was actually the first prof to REALLY teach me how to write an essay. She is a tough grader but definitely gives good feedback and even lets you revise your final essay for a higher letter grade. She is very organized, so definitely the weekly modules are easy to read and follow. Professor Cosand is very passionate about the content she's teaching, which engaged me as a student. We read "The Handmaid's Tale" and it was fun read. It was a hybrid class so there was class once per week. The homework assignments were the end of me though, 1 discussion and literary analysis a week. There was extra credit + 2 in person essays.
