Very good instructor!

He's such a great prof. He's very easy to understand and helps you when you have questions and problems.

He's funny...makes the 8 am class time easier...

I loved this class!!! Anliker was a wonderful teacher and made an 8 AM class go by pretty quuickly.

I took his class over the summer without any prior chemistry background, and I have to say he was awesome. Very helpful and easy to understand. Take lots of notes, do the practice exams and you should do fine.

He is the best teacher around. Probably the most helpful professor I have ever known. He really wants all of his students to succeed, and will do a lot to help them out! I totally reccommend him for anything he teaches!!!!!

Mr. Anliker is AWESOME! You'll be hard pressed to find someone who cares so much about the art of teaching. I was terrified of chemistry before his class, but I attended each lecture, studied and did the homework and earned an A. HIGHLY recommend that you take his course before C105 (even if you had high school chem). Anliker ROCKS!

hes a good professor but the class isn't easy as you think. he gives second chance exams on the first two exams but his test are very hard so you must study. He also gives a fair amount of extra credit (attendence and OCW's) so thats always a plus.

Mr. Anliker is amazing! Most inspiring, clear, and helpful class I've ever taken. Tests are medium-hard, and if you pay attention, read chapters, and definitely get a study guide, you'll ace it. Plus he's just so fun to listen to.

One of the best professors I've ever had. I hated chemistry in high school, but Mr. Anliker taught in a way that made it seem interesting and easy to understand. Just make sure you go to every lecutre or you will easily fall behind

The class goes SOOOO SLOW!!! He does a really great job explaining all the material and then beating it in your head a million times. Then he tries to throw in funny comments along the way...entertaining! The only down side is the exams can be worded kinda "long winded". So you really have to think what is he really trying to say. Easy Final!!!!!

He is so fantastic! Because of him, I'm doing so well in all of my other science courses this semester.

I had Anliker at the beginning of my Freshmen year. The way he discussed the materials was intriguing, and he always managed to throw some jokes in along the way. His class was extremely easy if you studied. I only got a B due to lack of interest near the end. I recommend him and this class!

This class takes studying. Mr Anliker is real helpful. He does have 400 students and he still offers study sessions each week and additional session at exam time if students attend. You have to work hard in this class, but his lectures are awesome. The class is huge. Be ready to take good notes and study..He explains hard material very well.

Read the textbooks, do all homework, and go to every lab that's how he takes attendance. Lecture you may not understand but he has study sessions that are very helpful and he's awesome and he gives second chance exams which helps out a lot. GREAT TEACHER!!

At the beginning of the semester I thought he was extremely rude and arrogant. I quickly learned that he just wants to get through the material in lecture so he can make sure we get all the information we need. I went to some of his help sessions and learned that on a more personal level, he's very patient,thorough,& even funny.RECOMMEND!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Chemistry is my worst subject, but he made it almost enjoyable. He truly wants his students to succeed. He makes sure you learn everything, so its not easy, but a great basis for higher level Chemistry classes. He gives you great resources, the lectures are very clear, and the course is well-organized.

Horrible. He will help you outside of class, but you will get very little out of lecture. He is belittling to his students. Bottom line, he doesn't seem to realize we are paying for his class. He reminds you every week that the average test grades are around 55% horrible for 100 students. Makes easy material much harder than it really is.

Professor Anliker is Awesome. He isn't that easy though but is very helpful. His lectures are worth attending because it helps you get a feel on what the upcoming test are going to be about. 1st and 2nd test, he allows you to take 2nd chances and that was great. Overall I recommend him to anyone.

Great professor, VERY clear about what is expected. There is ALWAYS an opp to get extra help if you need it & ask for it, if you dont get help it is no ones fault but your own. He does expect you to do the work, if you do it you will do well. He is more than fair but firm...if you ask an 'obvious' question, expect the 'obvious' answer.

He is so awesome, before attending his class i hated Chemistry, i really did. I had so many awful past experiences.I really have not meet a teacher who is so willing to help and teach/mentor; like him. He is very easy to understand, he does a good job simplifying Chemistry so that is is easily understood. I would defenietly suggest him.

MR. Anliker is arguably the best teacher I have ever had. He provides as much help as possible for his students. Granted it is a class of over 500 students he still does an excellent job at helping. His energy during lectures keeps everyone on their toes and he makes chem really exciting.

Awesome teacher!! Many teachers don't go into detail and really explain things like he does. Keeps things fun and interesting too. USE DVD BEFORE AND AFTER LABS!!! I did and got an A+ in lab.

I enjoyed working with Mr. Anliker. I was able to be apart of his TLC and have him as my instructor in recitation. Extremely helpful! He also offers help sessions, available during his office hours, in the Chemistry Resource Center, and you can probably spot him on campus from time to time! I finished strong with a B and is content with my grade.

Mr. Anliker rocks! He tells everyone in the beginning that not enough students come see him. Those that do utilize Mr. Anliker's open door policy will not be disappointed, he cares tremendously about the success of his students. Be advised that he can only help you as much as you help yourself. Plus it helps that he is "easy on the eyes" :)

Mr. Anliker is very passionate and energetic towards chemistry. He is very strict and makes the class extremely difficult. His exams are super hard. He isn't very helpful to students if he doesn't think they are trying hard enough. If you go to his office hours, though, he is very nice and very helpful. If you want to succeed, go to his office!!

Anliker is the best professor I've ever had. He is very easy going, and a very nice guy. His lectures are straightforward although somewhat quick. He goes over a lot of material, but very easy to understand. Come to class, take good notes, and study DAILY. You will get a good grade if you do so.

Anliker is awesome. He is funny and loves chemistry. However, he teaches and gives easy problems and makes the exam little hard.

Expect a lot of work outside of class to get a good grade, but I feel in class he is very clear and has great organized notes and classes. Also, he definitely knows the information he is teaching.

I dislike chemistry, but the class was required. Anliker made class somewhat fun. He's a great guy and he's actually pretty funny. Don't be scared of him! He's happy to help anyone who asks. If you suck at math, this class will be a little difficult. If you attend lecture and practice all the problems he gives you, you'll do just fine!

Mr. Anliker is awesome! He really knows how to teach the class. He basically walks you through all the steps you need without holding your hand. He actually teaches it to you like you've never heard anything about chemistry. Definitely recommended!

Mr. Anliker is a great teacher! He's very nice and he makes the class pretty interesting. The class is not easy though. You have to go to class to understand the material. You can get a A on the test if you study his practice test online. They are almost identical. His grading curve is also great! A 75% is a B-. A 60% is a C- & 50% is a D-.

He's a really good professor and is clear on all of the topic he teaches. He makes good analogies to help you out! The tests are really hard though, he can basically read your mind on what wrong answer you'll pick

Professor Anliker is an amazing teacher. He is really passionate about chemistry and teaching his students. He is always there to help when you need it, and as long as you study the material, ask questions, and make sure you understand what's going on you'll get an A for sure! Don't skip class!

I thought that Anliker was an amazing professor and I understood everything completely in class and he teaches so elementary but the test are sooooo hard. I think he burns himself because he is a great professor but sets you up for failure as a student because he makes his tests so dang hard.

He records every lecture and puts them online. He has a class twitter account to remind people to do homework. He takes walks during the week and encourages students to join and talk about classanything. Use common sense in his class. I loved watching him tactfully tell students they were stupid on questions with an answer in the syllabus.

I was not at chemistry in high school so I was a bit nervous about this class but Mr. Anliker made me really enjoy chemistry. He is pretty funny guy and makes lectures fun and interesting. If you make an effort and actually do the work you should definitely be able to pass. I would recommend him and would totally take another class with him!

Prof Anliker is by far the best professor I have ever had. I hated chemistry in high school but by the end of the semester with Anliker I actually started enjoying it. His tests are tough but you get practice exams and he offers help sessions every week that are EXTREMELY helpful. There are also quite a few extra credit opportunites.

Anliker is a good chem professor for those who are starting from scratch with chemistry. He does cool experiments in lecture sometimes too to keep the class interesting. His tests are multiple choice but a little on the difficult side. However, if you attend lectures regularly, you will do fine on the exams. He also does a lot of clicker questions.

He is very fair, but the class is fairly tough, especially if chemistry isn't something that interests you. He wants his students to succeed and set you up to do so! I wish that I would have put more time into the class because when you do it pays off! He is a great professor with high expectations, I would recommend him!

I wish that Dr. Anliker taught other courses because I would love to take another class of his. Definitely one of my favorite professors that I have ever had. Pay attention in class and in the labs. I would only study the night before and would still ace the exams.

He's very curmudgeonly but if he knows you're trying hard he can be sympathetic. Very clear teaching. Easy to learn from if you're paying attention. Beware! Do NOT come late to an exam. Huge penalty. Tests are difficult but not impossible. Questions may surprise you if you skip class. Puts notes online.

Mr. Anliker is probably one of the most helpful and caring professors Ive had. He is always willing to help you, and he gives multiple extra credit opportunities. He can be arrogant at times, but overall was very generous considering he placed a massive curve on the final grade.

He is great for people who love chemistry like me.

I had never had any chemistry before and he makes the understanding very obtainable. Podcasts of lectures are available to listen to. He tells you exactly what you need to do to do well in the class. DO THE PRACTICE problems. If you do the problems you will do really well. They get you use to the wording of his problems on the tests.

This was the best professor I have ever had hands down. I worked really hard for my A, but he helped me so much along the way. If you do all the problems he assigns, go to his tutoring sessions he holds, & go to his office hrs if you have any extra questions you'll do good! In lecture he sometimes doesn't seem the nicest, but he's cool at tutoring!

Lecture can be a bit overwhelming, but you should do fine, just make sure you take notes. I had never taken chem before, but if you go to his Thursday evening help sessions it will help a lot, trust me! If you show him that you do ALL the work, and really work hard he will get you the grade you want. You've got to earn it though!

The only thing I didn't like about this teacher was that he sometimes talked down to his students. Otherwise he was great, knew the material and had great explanations, seemed to genuinely care about his students getting good grades.

Anliker is absolutely one of my favorite Chemistry professors, just make sure you take the time to review your notes before exams. Not impossible to get an A. He has a good personality.

Mr. Anliker is easily the best professor I've had at IUPUI. He's a very awesome person, and an all around excellent teacher. I've failed chemistry many times in highschool and failed it once in college with a different professor. However, when I took it with Mr. Anliker he managed to help me understand everything and made it easy. Excellent teacher

I really struggle with chem, but Prof. Anliker really is gifted in teaching it. He explains things super clearly and even gives good examples. You need to memorize a few thing for the class but the rest he teaches reallly well. I love the guy. He tries to be funny but only gets a reaction half the time (lol).Wish he could teach all the chem classes

Pay attention in lecture and take notes because he does not post them online. Exams are tough, but with lots of assignments and 4 quizzes, you can still keep a good grade.

Anliker is a great professor. Always tries to help out his students the best he can and will do everything he can to help you succeed. Chem is a tough course but having him as my recitation leader as well really helped my understanding of the course. I would love to take another class with him again.

Professor Anliker is a great professor. He explains the material really well. Although he audio records lectures, you still have to show up to fully understand. He does a lot of in-class examples and analogies that make perfect sense. The recitation is important, but you can skip it every now and then and be perfectly fine. Would take again!

Me. Anliker is a great teacher ever. He explains very well. I never had a chem class in high school and I did good in this class. Just do your homework and prepare for the exam and listen to him. Dont skip class, and go to his help section and you will do just fine. I really like his helping section for the final. I recommend it for all.

He was very nice. Go to his office hours if you can. His lectures are interesting (well he tries to make it interesting). Go to the crc, don't skip class, and use recitation to your advantage and you'll do fine.

I wasn't the best at Chemistry in high school, but after taking Anliker's class, I have a love for Chemistry. He provides an abundance of extra credit and adjusts his grading scale to match the difficulty of the course.

He gives the neccesary tools for every single student to pass the course or learn the material. He is caring of students, he is highly prepared and reponsible of his work, when you ask a question he is able to give a very complete answer. Attendance is VERY important because of his analogies and explanation/tools that gives you.

Very good professor, learned a ton in lecture. He requires a decent amount of homework, but some of it goes towards extra credit in the end. Fair grader and prepared for lecture.

Out of every professor I have this semester, professor Anliker has made the biggest impact. He always found/made time to help me, as well as other students, with tough course material. He seemed to care about what his students have to say, as well as their opinions. Some of the material was hard, but the lectures and recitations were very helpful.

He is a very experienced teacher. He is very good at what he does. The class is very organized and his lectures are concise.

Anliker is such a caring professor but you will only truly receive good feedback if you take the time to go visit him out of class. He gives in-depth advice on what you should do in order to succeed in his class. He makes lecture not so boring as well!

Prof. Anliker is not an easy professor, but he is a good professor. He gives really informative lectures that make difficult material easier to understand and posts enough additional information to prepare you for the tests. If you follow his instructions to the T, you can get an A. You have to put in the work though, half measures won't do it.

He loves meeting new students and loves it when kids ask him a question after the class session and tries to explain and motivates you to come to office hours if it is still confusing-- he can't cover a concept within 15 mins when another class is rushing in-- def favorite prof so far in my coll. exp.

Anliker is a great professor and person. He's not one of those professors who throws up 100+ slides on the projector screen and tells you to memorize everything on the slides.. He does about 5-6 notebook pages of notes every lecture, and he explains things very thoroughly. He always made sure he repeated things multiple times so that we understood!

Coming from a student who honestly did not like this class from the start of the term and sucked in chem it wasn't so bad in the end. I think Professor Anliker is an excellent professor who tries his best to make students understand the material in class as long as they are willing to listen. Not always the nicest but he tries. go early on exam day

If you have the option to be a student of Professor Anliker you should. He is straight forward with what he expects from you and gives you opportunities to show what you know. Like any class you have to work for it meaning if you don't go to class, don't do the work he assigns, and ask for help when you need it then its not gonna work out for you.

Mr. Anliker is one of the kindest professors I've had. He made chemistry fun and understandable. He is a stickler for rules and as long as you're on time for class and you don't cheat, you'll be on his good side. The homework is so helpful. He says it's extra credit but If you don't do the homework, don't expect to pass.

Anliker is good at what he does. Sometimes I wish he wasn't as all over the place with his lectures as he was, but for the most part he's fine. It's not a deal breaker. He's a fair grader and if you follow his studying suggestions, you will be likely to pass the course with a good grade.

Amazing professor! If your taking chem 101 you should definitely take his class. He's very nice and understanding and teaches the class very well.

Dr. Anliker has such a knack for teaching. He really is incredible at presenting material in a way that is easily digestible for those that may be confused. If you don't go to lecture and recitation, you won't pass. I stopped going to recitation about six weeks in, so that's why I ended with a B.

He seems like a good guy but online maybe isn't really his thing. I had so much trouble contacting him, I rarely got my questions answered. His lectures were good and he had lots of opportunities for extra credit so at least there was that.

Anliker is a real gem. Pay attention, ask questions, and DO NOT BE AFRAID TO GO TO OFFICE HOURS. The content he teaches can be hard, but please, talk with him. He the most "human" professors out there. He understands life and will work with you to make sure you succeed. Would rate him 10 our of 5 if I could.

Anliker is a great professor! He is respectable and very informational. Online teaching may not be his strong suit. Recitation is important for his class, but I find it useless because no one talks during the time. I feel like he makes us do extra work, especially since the pandemic, because he makes a profit from it. i.e work books created by him.

Keith Anliker is an AMAZING chemistry professor. Although it is a review of high school chemistry and it may seem very repetitive, he does it for your learning benefits. Keith Anliker is a great professor, the guy just wants everyone to attend his lectures and have everyone get a good grade. There is a lot of review material because it's mainly what you learned in high school, but he repeats A LOT of the material but it's for your learning. Overall, Keith is very intelligent & is a cool & wacky dude! Def recommend.

He is tough but he is thorough. Yes, you do have to work for it. It is a lot of work but when you are done it will be worth it. He also gives you plenty of opportunity for extra credit. He really does care about his students. He is a person who teaches because he wants you to learn. He also presents his lecture notes in a very organized manor.

You can tell he loves what he does. If you take the time to understand and practice the material, you'll do fine. He gave advice that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Great guy, he made the class truly enjoyable.

Dr Anliker was probably my favorite professor for my first semester in terms of teaching style. His lectures are him taking notes with the class while explaining the given subjects. Hes very repetitive but explains concepts this way to clarify them as much as possible. Overall good professor, but I didnt care for the adaptive learning assignments

Professor Anliker is a very amazing and understanding professor. He provides office hours throughout the day and has his lectures are very easy to follow. His class is only difficult to those who don't put in the extra time or work or who don't contact him. I recommend Professor Anliker to everyone, he's the best!

Records lectures, couple of lectures were in person but most were online. Recitation helps!

Mr. Anliker was awesome for a refresher course straight out of high school. For any chem class, though, you have to put the work in. Do not just go into anything expecting an easy A. because there are a decent amount of assignments, students tend to slack, but I promise they will help. definitely take good notes in lecture and you will be fine.

He was really nice but a super stickler on attendance

I took CHEM-C 101 over the summer and I thought he was great. Super nice and understanding about most subjects and really cares about his students. He usually explains things very well and encourages students to go to his office hours. I can say his lectures can tend to be a little longwinded but overall a really caring professor.

Professor Anliker is a very entertaining and fun teacher. His class in hybrid, so you meet online until the week before the exam where he then holds in person lectures to prepare you for said exam. His class is very move at your pace, he provides more than enough study and learning materials for you to do well in the class.

As long as you watch the lecture or the videos and do the occasional homework you will do fine. The class it self goes pretty as it is a 101 class. I'd recommend taking 101 instead of straight to 105 if can fit in your schedule.

I loved Professor Anliker. I struggled very heavily with chem in high school but he made it so simple. I could tell he really cares about his students. The first day of class he told us his office hours and then gave us his phone number! I was very surprised by that. His class for C101 wasn't too difficult. It really prepared me for C105. He also comes up with good analogies that help explain material clearly, and I really appreciated this.

Tough course, but engaging lectures and helpful office hours. Leaned on Unstuck ai alongside the free textbook to stay on top of the material. Not the most accommodating, but worth the effort if you put in the work.
