Professor Anliker is a very entertaining and fun teacher. His class in hybrid, so you meet online until the week before the exam where he then holds in person lectures to prepare you for said exam. His class is very move at your pace, he provides more than enough study and learning materials for you to do well in the class.

DO NOT TAKE The worst prof I have ever had. Annoying, rude, passive aggressive. Get ready to teach yourself he does not know how to teach. I heard he removes his bad reviews...

As long as you watch the lecture or the videos and do the occasional homework you will do fine. The class it self goes pretty as it is a 101 class. I'd recommend taking 101 instead of straight to 105 if can fit in your schedule.

He is definitely the worst professor by far that I have had so far in 2 years of college. On top of the fact that he is lecture-heavy, and there will be long periods where he will drone on about stuff not even related to class, I had to teach myself everything in the class. Finally, he also assigns insane amounts of homework and videos.

DO NOT TAKE, honestly if I had a do over, I would take the later class as he does not know what he is doing while teaching. He is super lecture-heavy and puts most people to sleep, he has also been extremely rude and uncaring in terms of interactions with students.

Watch out he takes down his bad reviews (he took down one of mine previously), basically it said he is the worst professor I have to warn you not to take him if possible. He has super long and boring online lectures, plus he does not care about what is happening in your life so good luck if you have him!

I had to basically teach myself and its already a hard course. Doesn't fully explain topics, lectures were boring, and overall don't like the way he teaches. To avoid stress, I would honestly try and get another professor if possible. I feel like I could have done better with a different professor, so it's kind of upsetting.

I loved Professor Anliker. I struggled very heavily with chem in high school but he made it so simple. His lectures can get a little confusing because he writes all over the place but he still teaches all the material well. Pay attention and do all the TCE movies and you'll succeed. Professor Anliker, if you see this, you are amazing.

The amount of work needed to be done outside of class is excessive in my opinion. You end up teaching yourself the majority of the course work and I think that is a big reason why attendance is so poor, kids are not incentivized to go to class and end up teaching themselves. Not the most accommodating for those with busy lives outside school.

I could tell he really cares about his students. The first day of class he told us his office hours and then gave us his phone number! I was very surprised by that. His class for C101 wasn't too difficult. It really prepared me for C105. He also comes up with good analogies that help explain material clearly, and I really appreciated this.

To any future students, be careful with this professor. He has a nasty temper in which he displayed during covid lockdowns. Over a phone call he spewed many personal insults towards me & my character. I understand it was rough on us all but that doesn't excuse his behavior. Very rude & unprofessional.

Tough course, but engaging lectures and helpful office hours. Leaned on Unstuck ai alongside the free textbook to stay on top of the material. Not the most accommodating, but worth the effort if you put in the work.

Doesn't actually tell you what your current standing grade, makes you calculate it yourself and says your grade is "around what you calculated." While attendance is mandatory, gives a couple chances for you to miss lecture, and 4 chances to miss recitation without affecting your grade.

I do not recommend this professor at all. He will lecture on the most basic material, and then tell you to go watch 10 videos on canvas explaining the rest. He also will not tell you the questions you got wrong on the test because he "doesn't want to write more questions". Terrible feedback. Rants about lack of participation all the time.

I hated this class and the teacher's attitude towards his students. He wanted things to appeal to his needs as a teacher rather than the students.
