I never went to class and I still got a B+. So easy. Tests are all essay and he gives you the questions ahead of time. Nice guy too.

this class is sooooo boring. but it is soooo easy!! i hate history and i got a B+ on the midterm. there is hardly any homework, and he told our clas if we showed up for the last 8 classes we didnt have to take the final. yea, its boring, because its history, but he is super easy. and u have 1 essay

omg easiets freaken class in the whole entire world..he assigns lots of reading but you can find that stuff on sparknotes..i've never read a single book in that class and I have an A.

So easy! Just use on-line notes for his reading assignments. Do the Study Guides, go to class and participate and work on your essay and you're golden! For our class if you went to the last 8 classes you got full credit on the final.

This class was very easy. I didn't have to take a midterm or final just as long as I came to class everyday. He speaks very fast and is a good teacher and you can definitely learn from him.

go to every class, do the responses (there are only 5 and they arent long at all) do the 3-5 page paper at the end and you will get an A in the course....sooo easy, boring lecture though

You go to everyclass and you do not need to take the final or midterm. If you do need to take it, I heard it was easy, take home. He grades fair, and is not hard on students.

He is one of the reasons I am getting thinking of getting a minor in History. I have had Dr. Cox twice now and I must say he is a great teacher. He tries his best to make his class stress free and makes it so if you listen and apply yourself a little you can get an A. I'll probably be taking him next semester if I can handle going to campus 3 days

i found out i had the wrong book when i went to study for the first time the night before the midterm and passed it with a B+.when we studied the 60's we saw footage from woodstock 69' people doing acid & shrooms while jimi hendrix was blaring in the surround sound. way chill class looking forward to taking upper division with him. take it sleezy

He is really cool because he doesn't give you a final or midterm for his class. This class is an easy A.

Great class, you'll learn more from him than from any other history class or by reading any book. Easy A, if you attend every class, you are excused from the tests (which I hear are quite easy regardless), and your grade is just based on your papers. If you make a clear point and back it up with evidence (even if it's wrong) you'll get an A

EASY! major attn. pts (show up, u can miss 2 days, u wont take the midterm or final), a few hw assignments that he doesnt check, speak up every once in a while and write one paper = A!

LOVE this professor. No midterm or final if you come to all classes. Very funny, sarcastic, and entertaining. Don't learn much, but very easy. 2 essays and independent study... entertaining and easy. highly recommended.

Be on time,go to every class and you won't have to take midterm or final. He seems rudd, but he's really not as mean.

Simply the easiest A I've EVER gotten! Come to class... take notes... do a few minor assignments and you're done! No midterm or final for perfect attendance! Just don't be late and pretend to pay attention and you'll do fine. No group work either... perfect! I paid attention and actually learned a lot! He rambles sometimes though so don't get lost!

Good and effective teacher. If you dont miss class all semester, he lets you skip the midterm and the final. However, you still have to do some amount of work so dont expect to cruise by. He is kinda funny and always plays a song at the neginning of class. Overall a good guy who is very passionate about teaching and the subject matter.

Cool guy, will learn a lot. Books are kinda dull at times and many of them, but they illustrate exact points, not just broad concepts. Easy class.

He very easy teachers but his lectures are very long and there is alot of information. I dont recommend you buying any books because they wont be necessary. I never used them and honestly neither any of my classmates. Grades are based on three opinions of the book (but the review is available in Jstor) and no final or mid term if perfect attend.

Attendance policy is not active anymore so no bonus points he gave up on that... Still a pretty easy class

Get points for attendance. No text book. Really cool little readings that are different then anything else you've ever heard about in history. No tests, 2 papers, small papers (but i think that might change next semester) Great Professor

I liked the course. No textbooks were used, just some assigned reading from historical novels. One 25 question midterm and fairly easy final. Professor talks fast but helps students understand the material. Just be there every day and do the work. I would reccommend this professor.

He knows his****. He talks super fast. His notes are printed out, so just bring them to class and fill in. No text book, just 4 little books you read and write a short paper on (super easy). Didn't even get half way through any of the books and I was fine. There are also online discussions.

awesome professor! One of my favorite professors. Totally down to earth, and everything is crystal clear. You can use notes on the exams. There are online discussions and document analysis almost every week but they are clear cut. Basically if you just do the WEBct assignments you will get an A. loved giong to class

This class is super easy, I've taken one other of his classes and all the tests are open notes, theres no expensive text books and his lectures are easy to follow. Just gotta make sure you go to class. Other than that your guaranteed a good grade cuz all the assignments are opinion n he just gives full credit if theyr completed. :D

Attendance is big part of grade. easy class. participate and he'll c your trying. very helpful if you go to his office. Speaks really fast and gets xcited. looks profoundly similar to K. Sanders from KFC...but not as big. cool beard for sure.

I like Dr. Cox as a professor. I think he might have a little ADD or something though because he is a little all over the place in his lecture but either way he keeps the lecture very interesting! Not too much work to do other than just coming to class and PAY attention in class he does notice if your not! And huge on attendence! But awesome class!

He wears the same small brown shirt everyday.

Really easy class and you have to talk to ask the teacher on its office hours for your grade. Take this class, but dont expect to learn much..Im a history major and it did not help as much as I expected

Professor Cox is a funny guy and this class is so easy. Just show up for class and do the assignments and you will be fine. Oh and show up on time otherwise he will freak out. But overall a good professor and easy A!

Great teacher! He is very interested in what he teaches. He talks VERY fast though so class tended to be released early. You will watch a couple movies and read a lot in this class. There are also group discussions, but Mr. Cox was a great teacher!

Highly recommend Professor Cox. I've taken two classes with him. He's SUPER easy. He does talk super fast, but will go back and repeat if you want. powerpoints, group discussions, and lots of movies. hardly any quizzes and no tests. Final is an essay. Super funny and chill, just make sure to be on time! and he does take attendance!

As long as you show up to class then you shouldn't have a problem getting a good grade. He hates it when students are late though and don't text in his class either. He's pretty nice and we didn't have any actual tests.

Make sure you attend his class he takes attendance seriously and it has a big impact on your grade. For his Hist 131 class we never had to buy the textbook. He never assigned the reading quizzes that were printed on the syllabus. Final was a take home essay no length requirement. Easy class don't skip and be on time.

Don't need the book very much, but still would be helpful for homework/final. DO NOT HAVE TO DO THE WEEKLY CHAPTER READINGS ON THE SYLLABUS- absolutely no point. Final is just an essay & he gives you the prompt before.

Really easy class! Same stuff you've been learning since 6th grade. Just BE ON TIME. He will call you out in the middle of lecture if your late/talking/on your phone/ going to bathroom. Don't really need the book. There's 2 tests based on the book and one final paper which he gives the prompt ahead of time. He shows films & is obsessed w/ baseball
