The best English teacher I ever had. If you want to have fun with English take him. He is the best. He is very helpful and layed back. Strongly Recommended.

I had him for Wednesday nights(once a week). For my class we had NO In-Class essays, Mid-terms or Finals. The catch is: He wants 5 papers (5 full pages), 20pts for each paper. Very hard grader, but allows re-writes and very clear when explaining. GOOD

he's an ok guy. i got a B in his class. just dont show up late or u cant come in, no exceptions, EVER.

he is easy,helpful and makes one enjoy learning english. just cut class if u can't make it on the right time class starts but he is the number one.highly recommend him

He is a really good professor and makes the class very interesting. A harsh grader, if he says 4 full pages, he means it, a line less than 4 may result in a zero, for not following directions. But, he is always willing to help and make your essay be good.

uhm, he is kind of hard. ALOT Of ESSAYS to do. if he means the # of pages, then he means it. if not u get a zero. if u come late in class, knock on the door or maybe he won't let u in. i dont know he is okay.. if u are smart, maybe u like him.

I learned a lot about writing essays in his class. He really makes you look at the mistakes that you would not usual see and you actually improve. He let me even redo one of my first essays for a better grade. I also talked to him about my essays and he told me what he expected. He is a really funny, sweet & smart guy. I got an A.^^

if you want to ace his papers it takes a lot of brain bashing but if done right and you seek help you can do well in his class. fair guy and open minded. no homework which always helps. grading system is extremely hard. BUT HEY if you can do well in his class you can do great anywhere. i recommend if your only up for the challenge.

This is the hardest professor I have ever taking in my whole college career!! His standards are way to high! He will fail you and not even think twice about it! He expects you to write like you already have an English degee. I wouldnt recomend him.

Great Professor that kept the class entertaining and enjoyable. I didn't ever not want to go to his class. Usually consists of four opinion-based research papers of reasonable lengths and source minimums and two in class writings, a mid-term and a final. If you follow his structure and meet the requirements it will be an easy and enjoyable class.

Absolutely the best English teacher I've ever had. Took him for his "Writing about Sports" section and it was the easiest 'A' I've ever gotten. He is very knowledgable about the subject and is willing to answer any questions you have. There is no text for the class and all we did was have discussions all day every day. Take him if you can.

He's not the teacher to take if you're don't care about writing, but if you actually have interest in growing as a writer he is great. Class is mostly discussion of the upcoming essay topic, which will help you develop ideas to put to paper. He is liberal with topics, allowing students to hone in on aspect which interests them most.

Hes a great guy and a really good english prof. He got me interested in my topics and his classes were mainly to prepare us for our next paper. If I had to take another English class I would choose his. He definitely gave me confidence in my writing unlike what others here are saying. Just show him respect and that your trying and youll be fine!

Mr. Drumbore is a very down to earth, cool professor. I went in thinking I cant wait till i'm done with this English class, but Mr. Drumbore was very fun, open to suggestions and stories, and you will actually learn something when coming out of the class. Overall, I am very glad I had this class with such a cool professor and I enjoyed learning.

Professor Drumbore is one the most insightful professors that I've ever had. At first I thought I would do horribly because everyone on here said he was bad but I ended up getting an A-. There are no tests besides the final and midterm and other than that, he only requires 3 papers. In class, he doesn't teach much, but rather help with our papers.

His class was by far one of my favorites. Most classes everyone just sits around and we have a group discussion. We talk about everything and anything. Its alot of fun, and youre sure to make some good friends in this environment. He is a tough grader on your papers though.

Okay honestly, like Hitler? If that's your opinion, you're a horrible writer. I received one C- on the first paper and nothing less than an A for all the rest. He's there for anyone who needs help and covers so much useful info for life and for the upcoming paper. AMAZING PROFESSOR!

I highly recommend this teacher. All I did was write essays and hand them in the day they were due. Many times I did them an hour before class and would get an A. TALK! If you stay quiet, don't take his class. To get an A, you need to TALK.

He is a very different professor. He welcomes different points of views and encourages you to express them in your papers. He talks about topics that are very diiferent, important and yet less spoken. He gives 5 papers:2 inclass n 3 out of class. And yes, he forgives ESL mistakes and small MLA errors, unlike other profs.

Keith is very wise and understanding. As long as you follow the requirements (number of pages, number of sources, and hand-in on time) you will not fail. He is looking more for opinions rather than regurgitated information which is very different from other teachers. He really gets you to dig deeper into your thesis. He is also very helpful.

Great teacher & great class!He is very helpful and considerate.The class before papers are due, he devotes the whole class time to thesis statements.Students are able to write their thesis on the board and get feedback from other students and drumbore.Just make sure you follow instructions-num. of pages, sources, etc. Always write OPINION papers!!

Insightful Prof! Lectures about issues in society that aren't discussed.. Be involved in lecture...MAKE SURE U HAVE ENOUGH SOURCES OR AN F. Pick your side on the topic and back it up with sources and examples! You get an A in the class if you prove that you know how to write a persuasive essay( even if u get C and F on two papers)!!

Let's put this straight. He's a very smart professor,his class is easy and fun, but he's a VERY though grader; not your regular teacher.

He is the best teacher in MCC! He is funny & very intelligent. He's not the typical boring lecturer. His teaching method is very different. Everything is discussed in class based on opinions and arguments (which is very helpful). Take him and you will think & write better and also feel smarter at the same time! Awesome professor! I loved when he would let us talk about our thesis statements the class before the paper was due. It would help you understand what he wanted out of your paper and you could get ideas from the people in your class too. Every class was a discussion, not a lecture so it wasn't boring and he wasn't lecturing AT us.

He is badass- funny, intelligent, interesting. He is NOT an easy grader, but as long as you put effort and time into your writing, you'll be fine. He appreciates hard workers and creative thinkers. Class is discussion based- no tests, in class work, or bull.

Professor Drumbore is by FAR one of the greatest professors Ive encountered in my college years. He captures his students while incorporating lessons within them. I wish I had another class that I could have taken this semester with him as my professor.

This professor is terrible. In class, all you do is discusses random things. He is very inconsiderate to other people's view. He talks about very controversial topics in class. Overall, his class was horrible. He once said to us, the worst thing that can happen is you fail and have to retake the class. He is just awful

Love this Professor! Do the work and participate and you will be fine. Think outside of the box when doing the papers and always write clear and FOCUSED OPINION papers. 5 papers and no homework really. 2 papers in class and 3 outside of class. Cite sources perfectly by MLA standards. Over all, an extremely fun class if you put effort into it!

Professor Drumbore is Excellent. Honestly if you don't do well in his class its your fault not his. He is very helpful, all you have to do is ask and he will clarify and even look over you papers and ideas before their due. His class is discussion based and insightful on real life issues. I fought to bring my grade up with his help and I excelled!

Professor Drumbore is one of the best instructors at MCC. His class is tough but he grades fairly! As well, he offers help to students who want it! Great professor. Really cared about inspiring his students to think a different way. I learned more how to think about things with an open mind then i did grammar and paper writing and thats how it should be.

Very Good Teacher! Essay topics open for you to choose, but he guides you in narrowing to a focused thesis, and by extension, a focused paper. Follow all paper requirements and think outside the box to earn a good grade. I can legitimately say that I write better essays after taking his class. A lot of discussion involved, so be prepared.

Very interesting class. Smart man. I really enjoyed going and I felt that his papers challenged me to think about the topic. Basically be creative and write a paper that will keep him interested. and speak up in class.

Some people might hate him because hes not a normal teacher.We discuss strong ideas in class that we use for our papers. He is a tough grader and wont explain what you got wrong unless you ask him,and YES he will help you if you seek it.It takes work to do good,but I highly recommend him and realy enjoyed his class.if you dont wanna work,dont take.

He is a tough grader but if you are actually looking to be challenged and learn he will do that. I found him to be refreshing and enjoyed his classes immensely. If you are an English major you would get a lot out of this class.

Dr. Drumbore is the hardest grader I have encountered at MCC. That being said, he has also been my favorite prof. The class only has four papers, but the grading is a little strict. I received a D on my first paper, but managed to get an A in the course. It just takes a lot of work to get good grade. Drumbore is always more than willing to help you

Honestly the class started out a bit rocky with a D on my first paper, I was an honors English student in high school, however I needed that slap in the face. I asked for help and then my grades went up with every paper. I can see why some dislike him because he's quite different than a HS teacher. I found his humor and course refreshing and fun.

Awesome teacher no doubt about it. Heres the thing about him. He is a tough grader but all the english teachers are. He makes class very interesting and he is halirous. He's very helpful as well. Definitely a fun class. I will say this, if you have never used MLA do not take him. You will fail, he knows when you try add irrelevant information.

One of the greatest professors. Tough, no-nonsense, a breath of fresh air from the status-quo beliefs. Yes, he can be tough, especially with the thesis, but at the end, it's a challenge, and a challenge worth using for a well-worth lesson of life's weaknesses and strengths.

My favorite professor yet! Pushed me and helped me become a great writer. My grades in all my classes in reguards to papers and essays have dramtically improved because of what I have learned by taking this class. I've also learned some life lessons as well. GREAT GUY

Dr. Drumbore was one of my favorite professor at MCC. He was clear, consistent and valid with all his assignments. My writing improved so much over the course and I actually took ENG 122 the next semester. You do have to work for your grade, but it's college you should already know that. If he taught all my classes I wouldn't mind going to class!

I absolutely loved Dr. Drumbore! Yes, his class is not an easy A; he makes you work for it. I had his class as an 8 AM and I don't regret it. I had a blast in class and he is a great professor. I respect him for treating us as adults, as it made class discussions in-depth and interesting. Participate and share your thoughts, there's no harm to it.

Professor Keith is one of the best professors around. His class will improve your essay writing to a higher degree. just make sure you follow MLA style, avoid anything with net, .com or non peer reviewed articles for citations. He is very helpful, when you ask for his help. If you are serious about your education you will sure do well in his class.

He's an extremely tough grader. You need to work for the grade. If you ask him for help, he will help you. All you do is discuss about various topics in class; there are no in-class work except for two in-class essays. If you are an English major, I recommend you take him. You will learn.

He's a really chill guy. He pushes you and is a very tough grader, but he teaches you a lot. Definitely a challenging class, but his humor makes it worth it!

Dr. Drumbore is a breath of fresh air and a truly inspirational professor. He encourages you to think critically and out of the box. (Something far too few teachers actually do.) Class is spent having open conversation about various issues within society. No tests or quizzes, but you will write 5 papers. Expectations are clearly outlined. Take him!

He is a professor who demands real, critical thought from his students in order to succeed. He is no-frills when it comes to criteria, he will fail your paper immediately if you don't put in the required # of sources (no online). That said, his class is thought provoking, and he wants to help his students get to the next level in their writing.

Doctor Drumbore is pretty laid back but he is a tough grader. He will assign u a few readings but it's not too bad but try to read them because u never know when he might do a pop quiz on it. He's hilarious & very inspiring, he is also very helpful when u need advice on how to go about his papers. Don't be shy to ask questions.

I dont know why there are so many bad reviews for this professor, hes funny and a laid back guy. If you do your essays and follow the guide lines you can pass his English class. I would take home again. I enjoyed his class. The only negative thing is he didnt really take the time to know his students.

I Loved my English 121 class! Dr. Drumbore kept things interesting and I learned so much about writing a good paper. Im taking him again for 122 and still think hes excellent! But you do have to work for your grade. Hes strict but fair. Hes always willing to help if youre struggling. If youre willing to do the work hes a great teacher!

Hands down one of the best professors I've had at MCC! He is very down to earth and has amazing in-class discussions. Attendance was not mandatory but you gain a lot of insight on how to write good papers by coming to class. He makes it clear what he expects in the papers but he is also very willing to help students who need it, just ask.

Dr. Drumbore is an awesome professor!! He is really funny, insightful and charismatic. He doesn't take attendance but there is a good chance that there will be some homework due the next class. He is a very easy going person and all of his classes are pretty much just open discussions. I would definitely take him again.

He's very sweet and understanding. If you dont go to class you will most likely miss a reading response so i suggest getting peoples number. He's very laid back, but doesnt accept late work but still very chill.

Here's a thing, he's not an easy professor. But this man is just incredible. His way of teaching is great and he connects with the students. He doesn't like the way our world is and educates you for a better tomorrow. It's not just an English class, expect some philosophy and sociology as well. Favorite professor of all time. DON'T MISS CLASS!

You should not expect to get an easy A, tbh this professor can be pretty ruthless. Having said that, the topics covered in this class are definitely going to help improve both how you think and how you write. Classes are usually very engaging and make you see things a bit differently. Your rate of improvement will surprise you under his guidance.

Put in the effort and youll pass. Most people in my class ended up dropping out. I did not find it hard but everyone is different. Make sure you do all the essays

GREAT PROFESSOR

This was one the most enjoyable classes I have had at MCC. Drumbore is a tough grade because he wants his students to use active voice and proper grammar while writing. If you are a bad writer, don't take this class because you will not do good unless you put in the effort to improve.

Dr. Drumbore is a very caring, funny person. Although attendance is not mandatory, a lot of the grades are based on participation. Due to Covid-19, class was on zoom and he always answered emails. His papers are light and he takes you through each, step-by-step (thesis due 1 week, intro/outline due the next, etc.). I highly recommend taking him!

BEST ENGLISH PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!

I was surprised to see Drumbore as my lowest-rated professor out of all the classes I took this semester. He was my personal favorite. His requirements for papers were rather lenient and didn't require a strict structure of writing. He also greatly emphasizes critical thinking. Amazing professor to take in the online setting, strongly reccomend!

Took professor drumbore in fall 2020 semester and he is a great English professor. his feedback and notes are meaningful and useful. he has clear grading criteria.
