Good Teacher, Explains everything very good and keeps class interestin, easy class if you read and pay attention in class

Great class. He's a bit stern but keeps things funny and interesting. Tests are easy if you pay attention in class and take notes. He says you should read the books but I haven't and I've been getting B's and A's on the tests. we watched lots of videos. Cool guy and great teacher. The final is like a regular test. Only 1 presentation w/ group.

He's freaking amazing. Was in a rock band. Toured with the chili peppers! He keeps the class interesting. He's a total nerd, and his humor is kinda nerdy. But he's amazing. I loved the class and it actually sparked an interest in psychology for me! A possible major, actually. He's travelled alot and has a ton of stories. GREAT TEACHER.

Hands down favorite teacher at Shasta College. Ended up taking him for psych 1A & 14 since i found his class so interesting. His notes are very straight forward on a powerpoint and were exactly what was on the test. As long as you attend class and take notes you will do just fine.

Professor Foust was awesome. He is one of those teachers that I actually enjoyed listening to, he really captivates your attention. As long as you come to class and pay attention you should be good. He gives quizzes about once a week, a few research papers, and tests but they are easy for the most part. I loved this teacher!

Prof. Foust is a very good instructor. He is very informative and effective in his teaching style. His class has minimal outside work, and easy quizzes and tests. If you go to class and take good notes then you don't even need the book really. I liked his class so much that I'm taking Human Behavior as well. I highly recommend this professor.

I liked him so much, I took Psyc1A and Psyc15 from him. He has interesting stories and keeps you entertained. You have quizzes, a few tests, and a couple of papers. As long as you go to class and take notes, you'll be fine. He's not one for someone that slacks off.

Great lecturer -- keeps you interested and involved. His stories help illustrate the concepts extremely well without wandering off on tangents! Also, I bought the text but never even cracked it open because the tests are straight from the lecture. Go to class and take notes and you'll have an easy and fun A.

I thoroughly enjoyed his Social Psych class. He lectures on all of the material that is on the test. We had a group assignment for the final and a handful of writing assignments during the semester, but they weren't too hard. He is extremely helpful if you make the effort to ask for help. Definitely recommended professor!

This teacher really knows his stuff. He can be confusing about his writing assignments, but it all can be cleared up if you ask questions. Although, I don't think I've gone through a single lecture without him having a reference to an Asian country. He seems to love them Asians. :)

Best teacher i've ever had. connects personally with everyone. Doesn't use the book very often, but uses life stories instead. Very remarkable and inspiring teacher. I hope everyone can take his class and have a chance to learn from him.

Professor Foust was helpful and understanding of student's situations. I can tell from his stories that he used to party back in the day, this combined with his knowledge and nerdy appearance; i thought he was cute.

He's very nice and can be pretty funny. His lectures are fairly interesting because of the topic & his personal stories. Gives random 10pt pop quizzes. Tests are easy as long as you pay attention. It helps to skim the textbook to study even though he doesn't use it often. He lets you miss 3 classes before it affects your grade.

Professor Foust was awesome. He was always clear and he had a lot of great stories to illustrate the concepts. I laughed a lot, he told great stories. Highly recommended professor. You should take one of his classes.

Professor Foust is by far one of the best teachers I had at Shasta College. I really appreciated how organized and prepared he was. He is very objective, fair in grading, and his class was always interesting and fun. I liked how he always gave good examples to explain the terms and concepts. Very highly recommended.

As long as you are willing to learn and try to take an interest in the subject, you will do well. If you approach this class with a bad attitude towards listening and studying, your grade will reflect that. Definitely take test notes for things like neurotransmitters and brain anatomy, you should do well on the tests. Prof Foust is awesome! :)

Foust is a good teacher. He takes attendance and as long as you show up to class and take notes you will be fine. There are five tests including the final and you get to use a note card on all of the tests. There are three pretty easy one page papers and quizzes once he is finished lecturing on a chapter. Good, interesting class. I recommend it

Professor Foust was by far my favorite teacher this semester. He has a lot of humorous stories and experiences to share from when he was younger. The first test of the semester is the most difficult, but it gets a lot easier after that. Be prepared for pop quizzes (usually at the end of a chapter) and be a fast note taker! Highly recommend!

Foust is an amazing teacher. He discusses every topic in class that will be on the tests, and allows you to use a 3x5 note card on each test. However, you will have to be a fast note taker! I wouldn't take any other teacher for psychology :)

Professor Foust is the reason why I am a psychology major. Had him for Psych 1A and social psych. One of the best instructors at Shasta college. His concepts are easy to understand because he uses real life examples. Take good notes, show up every day and you will get an A. Tough essay grader though.

I love Keith, his class is fast paced and there's a ton to know. He covers what will be on the tests and if you follow along you'll do well. He can be intimidating most professors are in their own way but overall it seems like he wants his students to be successful.

Pro. Foust is a great teacher, he is funny, down-to-earth, and makes the material interesting and relevant. He gives one pop quiz for each chapter, but they are very fair, if you pay attention and do the reading you will be fine. I highly enjoyed the class and looked forward to it each week, and I was just taking it for GE purposes. Foust rocks!

Foust is the bomb! His lectures are really interesting and fun. I only took this class because it filled a requirement and was dreading it. It turned out to be my favorite class by far. Probably the best class Ive ever had. You won't regret taking Prof. Foust's class.

If you need any kind of Psych class, take it with Foust. Super great at teaching and he lets you use old versions of the textbook which is nice.

One of the best teachers I've had. Show up each day, will often have little assignments for credit. Super cool, just don't disrespect him. Be a quick note taker. Will let you how to get a good grade on papers, make sure and pay attention. Gives review sheet wit everything on the tests. Wish he taught all the psych classes, I would take every one.

This guy rocks! He has clear great lectures. He teaches straight out of the book which is very necessary to passing his pop quizzes and tests. He uses scan trons. Attendance and book required. He is serious about his material and I like that. He also reminds me of kevin spacey by his looks and demeanor a little.

Foust is so funny and his lectures are genuinely interesting to listen to. His class literally just consists of lectures and then quizzes/tests but if you pay attention and listen and take notes, you'll get a good grade. You're allowed to use a notecard on exams and he gives you a study guide the week before. Absolutely no reason not to pass!

This guy rules! I looked forward to every class meeting because he made the subject GENUINELY INTERESTING. It was amazing. He even lets you use a 3x5 note card FULL of notes, front and back for the tests. You still need to study, but there is no reason to get anything less than an A. Take this class, you will not be sorry.

Absolutely love this instructor, I still haven't had anyone better. I truly learned so much from him. I came into his class not really caring for psych to changing my degree to psych. Great lectures, easy note taking, and the tests are a nice challenge. I strongly recommend him for everyone! Wish all the instructors were as awesome and fun to have.

If you're willing to put a little extra effort into your education, I would completely recommend Foust. Although he's a little more difficult than other teachers, his class is so much more rewarding than the other classes. He always kept students engaged during lectures while still teaching the material for that day. Amazing teacher!

This is honestly one of the easiest classes I've ever taken. Foust lets you have a 3" x 5" note card for tests (which are all multiple choice, except for one). I basically brought my laptop to class and took notes. For each test, I would shrink down my notes and paste them on a note card. No reading required. Just go to class.

As a stem major, I was really not looking forward to taking Psych. This turned out to be one of my favorite classes at Shasta College. I would advise anyone to take Foust for this class. It is also very easy to get an

Professor Foust was great. Make sure you make it to every class, even though it seems easy. He grades on attendance. I read the lecture outlines posted on Canvas before attending class to refresh what we went over previously. That helped with the quizzes. Easy A as long as you put in the work.

One of the best teachers I've ever had!! I enjoyed this class so much I am taking another class with him this semester! I had to be gone a couple of days and missed a test and a quiz, and he allowed me to retake both! So great!

Foust is by far my favorite prof I've had at SC. Interesting, engaging lectures. Tests aren't hard and you get to have a notecard. Gives pop quizzes, but they are easy if you listen to the lecture.

At first he can seem a little intimidating, but once he starts his lectures, the magic happens! I wasn't even interested in psychology before taking his class, then I debated changing my major. It's a LOT of studying and effort, and you have to come to class to pass, but its well worth it. You wont find a better, more interesting, psych teacher!

For exams he gives you a 3x5. For me I found it most useful to go back through my lecture notes and put down any of the vocabulary i didn't already know on the card. Thinking of it as a vocabulary class will make it easier. Great professor. Highly recommend.

I wish I could take his class all over again just for his lectures! He is firm in what he knows & facilitates class discussions well, but is also open minded to new ways of thinking. He pulled me aside after class once to hear more about my perspective on something, simply to broaden his own understanding. He's funny, interesting, and very honest.

Best professor I've had so far. He cracks jokes and tells stories, but they always pertain to the topic. The tests are super straightforward, he gives you study guides and there are no surprises come test time. I go to class, take some notes, and hardly study and I get A's on all the tests. The class is super interesting, I'd take it again!

He made every lecture very fun and very interesting. He is one of the most humorous professors I have had. He is also a personally intriguing character. With personal background stories intertwined in his lectures, he makes Psych 1A interesting and fun.

Keith Foust is so so so wonderful. Seriously. His lectures are incredibly full of information, but he uses his own personal experience to make it more relatable, and the information does stick. As long as you pay attention and take notes, his classes are not at all hard to pass.

Professor Foust is very honest and that is what I think I like the most about him. He doesn't pull any punches (actually you can tell he has to stop himself from expressing what's really on his unfiltered mind). Very great lectures from Foust, a great Psychology instructor to take, to pass this class, all I have to say is READ READ READ the textbook he gives!!!!!!!!! It may be a lot but trust me, it will help you pass the class and exams. I didn't do that and cause me to lose a lot points in the exams.

Relatable guy, if you show you care you will easily pass the class with a little reading involved. The dude also use to play in a small band called the downsiders. Available on Apple Music, couple of the songs arent bad if your into rock.

I am so sad that this class is over, prof. Foust is beyond amazing. His lectures were so informative that you didn't need to read the book that he requires. He tells personal stories that relate to his lectures which made it very easy and interesting to understand. Don't let the pop up quizzes scare you away from taking his class, its super easy!

Prof. Foust is a great, engaging teacher. Lectures are filled with funny and relevant anecdotes and personal stories. His passion for psychology and education are very evident during lectures. There are "pop" quizzes, but they aren't really a surprise since they follow the end of every chapter. I would definitely take more classes taught by him.

I really enjoyed my psyc 1a class, it was fun to be in his class. He always came to lecture with great energy and often times a fun story. He made the class direct and easily understandable.

Professor Foust is a great teacher. His lectures cover a lot of information, so it's best not to skip class (sometimes 6+ pages notes a day). When teaching concepts he always has a life story relating to it- which are great (be ready to hear about his time in South Korea). Only a few exams, pop quizzes, and two papers so always be ready for those.

Dr. Foust was a good professor. His class is very organized and his lectures were fine. Exams are basically the only thing that counts in his class so I recommend putting a couple hours in per exam and try not to miss any lectures and youll be fine with him!

Professor Foust, was an amazing teacher! He tests heavily on his power points. Has amazing stories and makes psych really easy to understand. Absolutely would take again!!

He's a good choice for psychology. I just took good notes and studied them before the 4 test's we had and I scored an A on all of them. Some people struggled in his class but I think it was mainly those who didn't show up enough. I wish there was maybe some additional homework or assignments so that grades are not completely decided by test's.

One of my favorite professors of all time. Hes a bit of a goofy guy but really passionate about psychology and intelligent.

Foust is a pretty great teacher. He's relatable & passionate about his job. He truly wants everyone to do well & will go over any questions you might have. There was no homework, but expect a pop quiz after every chapter and a test after every 3 chapters. Also, if you're majoring in Psychology, he offers an internship through a local association.

If you show up you should pass. He goes over everything in class and has powerpoints up so it really isn't hard.

Foust really is a gem at Shasta College. He is very well organized and knows what he is talking about - and he is EXTREMELY passionate about what he teaches. The textbook is pricey but that is really the only downside to his course. He let our class use a notecard on exams which was amazing. He has great stories as well but, isn't too indulgent.

He is helpful, passionate about his subject and very knowledgeable and interesting. I loved taking his 1A and I went on to his Social Psych class and loved both.

Professor Fousts class really straightforward and consistent. Every week there is a quiz and every other week there is a discussion, which is an easy way to get point if you just put in a little effort. There are 4 exams. He provides a study for each exam and they are SUPER helpful. I recommend this course highly.

Professor Foust was awesome! He made his course really straight forward on easy to follow. He provides PPT presentations and there are anywhere from 2 to 4 short lectures (7 to 10 minutes) for each chapter that really help you to understand the concepts. Dr. Foust is an amazing professor. I experienced many ups and downs this semester with my family and he was there to support me every step of the way which I cant say for my other professors. Shasta college is lucky to have such a caring professor and so are the student who take his courses.

Professor Foust is the best! I have a learning disability and I really struggled at the beginning of the semester. I talked with him about my learning disability and how I was having a hard time in his class. After we talked he worked with me every week to help me succeed. I went from failing the class to getting a B+. Hes the best!

Dr. Fousts class was the best online class I have had at Shasta college. The class was easy to follow. It is very clear what is expected to be done each week. Each week of the class has its own module with clear due dates. Some online classes I have taken are very confusing about due dates. If you want a straight forward class I recommend this one.

If you are willing to put in a little work Professor Foust make his class pretty easy to do well in. He give you lots of materials to help you with quizzes and exams. Each week has PPTs, a study guide, review questions, videos, and a series of short lectures he records for each chapter and they are super helpful. Highly recommend!

Professor Fousts class consisted mostly of engaging lectures (1 hr). He recommends reading the textbook but as long as you pay attention to lectures and take notes the pop quizzes and tests will be easy. He gives study guides that match the test well. Foust is one of my all time favorite professors. He is powerpoint heavy with his lectures, for sure, but very clear communicator. If you take good notes during class and read through the chapters, you'll ace it EASY. Honestly, there are no curve balls at all. What he teaches, that's what he tests on. He'll take questions off quiz if wasnt covered.

If you are present and willing to learn you WILL pass, I passed this class with over 100%. He is a great professor, I'd take him again if I had time in my schedule.

Foust is one of the best lecturers at Shasta College hands down. Very natural orator, makes the material fun and easy to remember, all pop quizzes, tests, and exams are directly related to material and are easy if you show up and pay attention, no questions out of left field. I thought Professor Foust's online class was one of the best online courses I have taken so far. The course setup is very straightforward and easy to follow. Students have access to his PPT slides and lectures anytime. He also provides study guides for his exam which are really helpful. Oh, and the course textbook is free online. Great class!

There are weekly tests but if you follow the material they are not difficult, it is clear that he wants us to learn from the class. There are opportunities for extra credit and he is responsive to emails if needed. Discussions require work, don't procrastinate them.

Genuinely the best professor I've ever had!! He was a very nice energetic person you can tell he loves his job. His lectures were very informative but not boring he has a fun sense of humor. Great pofessor, very passiante about psychology. I never used the textbook, I used quizlet to study. Don't buy the textbook, loan one out from the library for free for the whole semester.

He is a great professor who has an awesome teaching style in the classroom that really captures your attention while helping you learn. PPT slides of his lectures are available and he give study guide for every exam. The study guides really helped me a lot.

Professor Foust's PSYC1A class is a gem. Engaging lectures, helpful study guides, and a fun learning environment. unstuck AI was a great supplement alongside the free textbook. Definitely a class I'd take again.

I had Foust last semester and he was my favorite teacher. He provided the lectures on our class canvas and they were very engaging. He succeeded with connecting his slideshows with great examples and always included us in them. There are pop quizzes usually right after you finish a chapter! He gives study guides for test so you feel prepared!

Although I only took Foust for one class (PYSC1A) it was an amazing experience. I took psychology in highschool and HATED it and thought I would here too. Foust changed my perspective on the subject with his amazing lectures and funny / approachable personality. Even if you aren't a pysc major I would take him for GenED!

Foust is a lecture-heavy professor. Be prepared to read a lot, watch videos (if taking this class during the summer term), and have lots of quizzes and exams. No homework, meaning your grade depends on quizzes the exams. Although it is a lot, he gives you lots and lots of extra credit (at least for the summer class). Good luck.
