He is a good teacher ,but the problemis here that he speaks alot in the class .he speaks about 3/4 of the class time and after that he says that we do not have enough time.writing is a process.

One of the best young teacher in ESL Dept. Someone said, he's "TMI". My question to that student is why? We supposed to learn or teach? I'm still in his class and I enjoy eveymoment of it. This is a great teacher if you would have an easy class not much homework, just a few essays to write. He is always helpful and he seems to love his work. But if you want to learn something new this is not a class for you, I learned a lot more with another teacher in ESL 21A then I have done in this class.

He is such an awesome teacher. He was my first teacher at SMC...i wish all of them are like him. Follow his instruction then you will get A or B. He is very smart and fair. Focus on Essay and Rewrite. You must take this class if you want to improve your english skills.

highly recommend for all ESL students. He graduaded conell university for biology major and university of florida for education. His accent is excellant and teaches very clear. he is liberal but he is also very fair for all students. you will improve your english skill if you take him. Good Luck.

he is a nice man and sometimes he is too nice! he would love to help you with every problems you have. however, he is not an easy grade teacher. just do the extra credit he gave and you will get a high extra credit which is really helpful.

He's a Great tutor undoubtedly.He went through every little detail on different specific aspect and explained to us crystal clear by his interesting teaching method. I took the online class. It was so good. We had like 2 weeks to write the responds and did our homework. You would have 2-3 assignments per week. One of them is discussion that you have to do 3 days before the end of the unit, and the other part are, most of the time, main ideas, what the author thought when he said... It is the easiest class ever

He's definitely one of the best professors at SMC. I took his ESL11A in summer 2015 & that was actually my very first class at SMC. He's a very nice and funny person. I like him & respect him :) Do HW, ask questions if you don't understand, and work hard of course! You're learning!! Take his class. You will learn a lot from him for sure!!!!!!

He know how to teach and every students will learn more than lecture in his class. He is best professor in Esl department for sure. However, his grading style is not as well as his personality. He grading our paper and test very fast which is wonderful, but he is a tough grader, if you want take his class you should be careful about your grades.

Lots of homework, but give a lot good feedback. Go to his classes and participate , and you will pass the class. I chose pass or no pass, and I passed.

I've earned so much from him and he gets hold of you ASAP which was good for myself, If I put more effort into quizzes, I would of got an A in this class which I regret.. but the way he taught us in the class (online) has made me more confident with my reading skills! I would recommend to take this class! You will get good marks if you try hard.

It is true that Professor Keith is a tough grader, but it's worth to take his class. You should know that 21B and ENGL1 are much harder. BE PREPARE!

If your writing paragraph, essay, and summary writing are not well and you are having difficult with writing. I prefer you come to another branch of Santa Monica College is Bundy Campus and that non-credit ESL and practice writing classes from beginning through advance. When your writing getting better then take ESL credit at main campus.
