Herndon. Is. The. Best. Class consists of 2 tests (all of the information is from the Powerpoint), a group project and an essay test. As long as you study, it is 100% possible to make an A. You will be surprised at how much you learned this semester. He loves his students and really cares about them and their futures! I would take him again!!!

One of the best journalism professors, and overall professors, that I've ever had! He is so passionate and caring about what he's teaching and the students he teaches. His readings were actually fun, and he was always available to bounce ideas off of and provide feedback. Will be taking him again!!

I thoroughly enjoyed taking Entrepreneurial Journalism with Dr. Herndon, and I can't recommend it enough. He made the class really engaging and applicable, and it actually inspired me to apply and participate in the Entrepreneurship Certificate program here. If you want to get involved at Grady and have incredible mentorship, take Dr. Herndon.

Dr. Herndon is an incredible educator. He's in touch with current trends and events, and is constantly bringing interesting relevant material to share with the class. Most importantly, the man has an absolute heart of gold. He inspires students and is always in your corner. I consider him a mentor and friend, he's made that big of a difference.

I've had Professor Herndon for multiple classes and he is certainly my favorite Grady Professor. If you have the opportunity take any one of his classes, do it! Not only is he fun and engaging but you learn a lot without the stress a lot of other courses cause without reason. The workload in his class is manageable and reasonable. 10/10 recommend

Dr. Herndon is one of the best professors I had in Grady! I learned so much from his class, not only about the subject he was teaching but also about how to be a successful young professional post graduation. I actually looked forward to attending his class and I think that speaks volumes about his talents as an instructor.

Loved taking this class with Dr. Herndon. This was his first time teaching a large lecture, and he did a great job. Covers the material really well and makes sure you are prepared for exams. News quizzes are somewhat difficult to prepare for, but you can get the hang of them. Overall, it was a great class that made me excited about the major.

Dr. Herndon is very enthusiastic and really knows what he's talking about. Tests were open notes and very straightforward. News quizzes every week or so are not hard but you do have to keep up with the AP news app current events. Mandatory attendance tracked by an app and guest speakers were all very interesting and overall an engaging class!

Professor Herndon is super knowledgeable about journalism. The class usually doesn't last the whole period (on Tues/Thurs). The lectures are pretty interesting and the tests are open notes. You do have to study for the news quizzes but if you're reading the news daily (or even just headlines) they're alright. Prof Herndon is really nice.

I LOVED Herndon! I wish I could've had him in person this semester, as I loved this class. I was usually able to get the week's worth of homework done in an hour or two, and his tests questions come straight from the notes. A really sweet man who knows what he's talking about and wants the best for his students. You need to take him if you can!

NICEST PROFESSOR I have ever come across. He is so nice, caring, and actually wants all of his students to do well. His lectures are very interesting and he is very inspirational. 4 tests and 4 quizzes, that's all. No homework and he drops the lowest test and quiz. Impossible not to get an A. Not only is Dr. Herndon one of the nicest professors I've had, he also has had a huge influence on the field of journalism. His knowledge and experience are incredible, and his passion for journalism is obvious from day one. I highly recommend taking this class at some point just to hear from this certified legend and genuinely great guy.

Herndon is honestly one of my favorite professors at UGA. Extremely nice guy and the class is not very difficult. His test come straight from the lectures and they are not difficult concepts. Professor Herndon is the best professor ever! This class was the first journalism class I took at UGA, and I love it! This class has 4 news quizzes and 4 tests (one of each is dropped). quizzes and tests are open note and online! A lot of people did not go to class, but I found myself going to class every time! Keith was such an awesome professor. He was really respectful about people's fear regarding covid and so he let us take tests and quizzes virtually. Herndon is great. The class was easy and he provided exam exemption for those with good attendance. He cares about his students and makes the class fun. There is a textbook, but you really don't need it at all. No Homework, just open note quizzes and 4 closed note tests.

While his lectures got boring at times, his enthusiasm was infectious and his clear interest in the topics made me more interested as well. Keith was a great teacher, technically attendance wasn't mandatory but if you only used the allotted 3 or 4 excused absences you don't have to take the final. He also offers a make-up day if you just miss one extra class. overall really accessible and friendly, and I found the content really interesting.

My favorite teacher I have had in any college class. He is super knowledgeable about the class content. He seems to care greatly about his students. The exams are easy for the most part, the news quizzes are extremely easy. He has a policy that students who miss 4 or fewer classes receive an automatic 100 on the final.

I loved this class! It was taught so well! I met with him outside of class once and he was so kind and thoughtful. He is just the sweetest. You only take 4 quizzes over the news and 3 exams. Attendance is tracked by an exit ticket system and you can miss up to 4 days. You get to skip the final if you have less than 4 absences.

I think that everyone at the university should be required to take this class, even better if it is with Professor Herndon. Professor Herndon is a great teacher. He is not a harsh grader at all. His class is lecutre heavy, so be prepared. We were only allowed 4 absences the semester before points were dropped, but overall a good class. You can tell he cares a lot about his field, and he is open to questions.
