keith hunley is the reason i am an anthro major. one of the best professors at UNM. i recommend any of his classes to any major.

Prof. Hunley was the best! He's up on all the latest developments in a rapidly-changing field, but he's down-to-earth. This guy is the motivated student's dream professor - demanding but will help you learn everything you need to know. A great professor and a great class. Recommended to everyone, especially non-anthro majors.

Anth 150 with Prof. Hunley is one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. He dumbs down the material and makes a high grade unreasonably easy. Good intro class (especially to boost confidence) but not recommended if you've taken Anth 101. It's pure review with some basic biology tossed in at the beginning.

Fun, easy, interesting class. Dr. Hunley really knows his stuff and is receptive to the needs and interests of his students.

professor hunley is a great teacher. he is very enthusiastic about his field of study. His human evolution class was fun easy and informative recomeded for anyone with interest in anthropology or with a need for a fun elective.

I have always hated every science class I've ever taken, but I LOVED this class. Very straight forward and passionate about his work.

Coming into this class I was terrified of genetics but Prof. Hunley did a great job explaining complex material. This was not an easy class, you have to study, but the material is manageable if you put forth the effort and Prof. Hunley is always eager to explain difficult topics. I look forward to taking another class with him.

Extremely easy class if you're capable of doing your homework and paying attention in class. he gives you the study guides weeks before the exams and has review sessions before them. Will bend over backwards to help you do well and loves answering questions enthusiastically. Highly recommended

Prof. Hunley was a very interesting teacher. He made concise powerpoints that were really useful for notes, although it was still a good idea to go to class. Very knowledgable and willing to answer questions. Plus he's a dreamboat. :)

Easiest class EVER!!! Go to class and especially test review sessions lead by the TA and you will do great. Don't bother buying the book. I got an A without opening it even once.

Professor Hunley is an great teacher! He seems really passionate about his material, which makes learning in his class a lot of fun. Material is not too hard. As long as you do the study guides and study them, you will be cherry. Take him! He is awesome!

I loved this class. Very clear, you know what to expect from grading and on exams. Instructor is very passionate about material taught which makes the class so interesting. This class almost made me change my nearly completed major to anthro.

Easy, fun class, but you HAVE to go to class or you will fail. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you'd be foolish not to go. Prof Hunley is so passionate, and a joy to listen to. Class was rarely boring.

Made class a joy. Clear, interesting lessons. Made bad days good ones.TAKE THIS CLASS if you need a GPA boost. But you must listen and if you do study guide review (he gives them out a week before the test) you are golden. Only problem: sometimes lost focus because he is so sexy!

I have always been terrified and puzzled by math and science. However, I had to take a science class, so I chose his. After taking Prof Hunley's class I would almost consider pursuing genetic studies. He makes things SO interesting and clear. He is a joy to watch. Funny, too. And cute. Highly recommended!!

Probably one of 3 awesome Professors @ UNM. This guy is a skilled teacher, and passionate about his subject. He's also dorkaliciously funny. It's rare to find a rock-star in their field that is as dedicated to teaching a 100 lvl class.

Hunley is absolutely one of he best professors I have taken at UNM. Just took this class because I needed an extra credit and his class persuaded me to minor in evolutionary anthropology. Read the book and print out the lectures prior to class and take notes and you are golden for ever single test, there are 4 and he drops your lowest one!

Great class! Super easy! dont even buy the book. All the notes are on web ct. I never took notes, I went to class about 80% of the time and got a B+. I would have got an A but I didnt want to take the final. 10 in-class assignemts that you dont have to be inclass to get full credit. Great teacher, I wish more professors were like him!

I really enjoyed the class when he was teaching. He gives really good lectures and has a great sense of humor (and great hair!) and makes the particulars of Anthropology a lot more comprehensible. If you take ANTH 150, I highly recommend taking it with him!

He makes the class interesting. He gives extra credit questions on exams and drops the lowest exam. Study his study guides well and you should do great on the exams which make up most of your grade. I had an A+ going into the final so I didn't have to take it. I recommend him to anyone I talk to that is thinking about taking Anth 150.

GREAT teacher. He really cares about his students, more than any teacher i have ever had. What he covers in class is in his tests, and the online power points are very useful. If you go every day and pay attention, you will pass very easily.

Make sure to do the readings and go to every class and there's no reason to not get an A+. Plus, you'll learn a lot!

I took this class online and it was pretty interesting. As long as you listen to his lectures, read the book, and answer the weekly questions, you will be able to pass the tests. There are only 4 and he drops the lowest grade. Also, there are weekly writing assignments to do, but they are really easy as long as you have watched the lecture.

Good teacher, very interesting. All long as you pay attention to his lectures and go through the review he provides, you will do well.

Hunley is amazing!!! His love and appreciation for anthropology is extremely obvious and this makes him a great professor! He wants his students to learn and get the most out of his class. The material is not very easy so if you're lazy don't take this class, there's a lot of studying involved.

I'm a business major and I seriously almost considered minoring or double majoring in anthropology after taking this class with him. He is engaging, funny, passionate and overall a great teacher. I would definitely recommend! The grading is fair, the tests are fair and he is approachable if you have questions.

This is one of my favorite classes I've taken! Professor Hunley is very knowledgeable and helpful. His lectures and outlines are very clear. If you attend class, getting an A is very simple.

He posts study questions with everything on the tests--do them. Tests are easier than the questions make them seem. Answers to those and homework are in the powerpoints he posts from lecture--easy. There's so much debate in anthro that it's sometimes hard to tell what he would call the right answer. You don't have to read if you come to class

Great professor and very knowledgeable in his field.

TAKE THIS CLASS. Best professor I've had at UNM so far. He makes class interesting, lets you out early most of the time, and does not give too many assignments. Tests are based on his slides. If you go to class and study, you will get an A. Textbook is not necessary. I didn't use mine at all. Also, he is an attractive older man.

I took this class as a late add on. It was an 8 week course, and very dense. About 2 lectures a week. Not hard to follow. If you use the study guide and follow the lectures, you'll pass.

Great class! There is a lot to learn, and the tests are mildly hard, so don't skip! Professor Hunley is a funny and very intelligent person who does a great job explaining evolution. Like I said, the tests are mildly difficult, so don't skip and do the study guides!

Great professor! Best I've had in any university so far (I've attended 3). Very entertaining, easy to follow, funny and thorough. He knows his subject matter very well. I took extensive notes in lectures and before tests and barely had to use the book. I had to work for my A+, but not super difficult if your goal is just to pass.

Fantastic class! Professor is very helpful and is PASSIONATE about his subject! Knows exactly what hes talking about and isnt just shamelessly inventing as he goes along.

I am not going to say that his class is easy, you do have to study for the tests. Go to the study classes! They help a lot. He gives plenty of extra credit as long as you are in class (it is like pop extra credit). He makes things easy to understand and is willing to answer any questions. Lectures are not boring at all. I highly recommend him.

Proffesor Hunley is a great teacher. He cares about his students grades and will help you if you ask. His tests cover everything he talks about in class so attendance is a good idea.

Hunley works really well in integrating not only the course material in his class but also scientific reasoning and thinking. Alot of times teachers just give up and spoon feed you the course material, Hunley does a great job of actually applying whats learned to practical situations, he's cool evolutionary Anthropology is cool take this class.

Dr. Hunley made Human Evolution a really interesting, fun class. His lectures are very clear and he works hard to know that you understand everything. 4 tests that are long but not too hard. He does a really good job connecting what you know with what we are covering. His TA is really good too! You need to study to pass, but he makes it easy.

An unexpected find, and a true educator. He is obviously passionate about what he studies, and tries to pass that on, in each class. Be prepared to work, be prepared to change. You have the opportunity to learn from a top researcher in the field.

Professor Hunley cares greatly about the course and the students he teaches. He does his best to make the class interactive and to engage the students. Very few assignments and exams - he drops the lowest exam grade. Is a good grader, and helped you to understand what he is teaching. I would take a class of his again. I also took the lab for him.

Keith Hunley has detailed lectures and he is passionate about what he teaches. The tests are very fair - everything on them is in his lectures and you will easily remember if you go to class or view his lecture slides (which he posts online).

Book seems more supplementary and you could probably pass without it if you need to save money. Thorough video lectures, provides Closed Captioning, also provides powerpoint downloads of lectures. E-mails regularly for deadline reminders. Provides study guides and gives a whole week off for Exam prep.

Keith is my favorite professor within the anthropology department. He cares about his students and is knowledgeable about what he is teaching. If you are an EVAnth major you will enjoy this class. If not then you will probably not enjoy it , also he's funny in his own nerdy way. Tests are VERY important so make sure to study take notes and read!

Just remember to study all information for tests because they have previous sections lecture information as well. This class is great to set up any anth class.

Overall, this class was pretty easy. You knew what to expect from day one and you could usually reach the TA or Professor within a timely manner. There are weekly videos, which was very helpful in learning the material. The exams were fairly easy as long as you do the study guide. There are several opportunities for extra credit.

Dr. Hunley was incredible. I'm not an Anthro major yet he made me passionate about the material. His passion for the course is infectious, he really cares about what he teaches and he's incredibly knowledgeable. Taking notes is the best way to pass the class. Pay attention to the material, review what he teaches, and you'll be fine on the quizzes,

10 Assignments, 3 Bonus Assignment, 4 Exams. The lowest exam is dropped, which brings up your score a lot. Office hours are extremely important especially if you're someone who does not attend class. He and the GA give extremely valuable feedback. You need to put the work outside of class max 3 to 6 hours.

He is one of the most fair and respected professors that I have ever experienced. He makes sure that everything makes sense and keeps everything fair He is very animate on making sure the tests aren't going to trick you. He does want clear and concise answers on exams and homework. Just make sure you show up I have learned so much from this class.

If you do not watch his videos, you will not pass the class. Put on subtitles and watch in 2x speed and you'll be great. Tests are a mix of multiple-choice and short/long-answer questions. TA was friendly and super understanding. Might take it again in person but ultimately the course was just not for me. He was a great guy, though.

This man put his all into every single lecture and uplifted my day without fail continually. He provides the textbook for free as well as uploads every lecture into Canvas. Accurate, applicate study guides are provided for each of the four exams. Homework is painless and only assigned to strengthen students' retention of knowledge. No busy work.
