He's totally entertaining and makes learning fun. I hate speech, but I loved his class. Great teacher for people with stage fright!

Mr. Kashiwada was an excellent instructor. He made all of his lectures fun and enjoyable. Attending his class was the highlight of each Monday and Wednesday.

He is very funny. You shouldn't get lower than "B" if you take all the tests and do all the speeches.

He is excellent instructore. Students are enjoying his lecture 'caz his talk is really fun. He evaluates students' paticipation and responsibility for their work(e.g. presentation) so if you go to class and do your best, you can success in his class.

He is a entertainer!!! Class was so exciting and interesting. You can enjoy his class! But, quizes that are gavin begining of class and exams were difficult.

This class was easy. Everyone should get an A. He's really lenient in your speeches, gives easy tests and is entertaining. About 1/2 my class spoke English as a second language, so it was really easy for English speakers to excel.

Awesome teacher!!! He's a funny guy who likes to make class interesting. Materials and assignments he gives out are clear, precise and to the point. He's always helpful and will guide you through if you are having problems.

nice and understanding. don't skip class, listen well, study for the quizzes, and read the chapters.

He is the funniest and easiest teacher in KCC. His class presentation are easy. Just don't be so shy in class activities. You always can hear jokes or sth like that in his class. He is a fun maker over all.

Keith is fun, funny and a very effective communicator. His quizzes can be tricky with the fill in the blank part. There is no way to pass them without really reading the text! He swears in class which makes him feel really down to earth. He makes a usually boring subject fun!

i really liked his class i took it a few semsters ago and told all mty friends that his class is a great speech class to take

i was dreading speech, but he made speech fun to take. i recommend him to anyone.

Speech was the last class I wanted to take, but when I read his reviews, I'd thought I'd try it out. I dont regret it in the slightest. I wish all teachers would have to take his class so that they could realize how much they can improve their teaching methods. You have to study, but its no problem if you imagine yourself using these skills one day

He was a very good teacher! He was very organized and on schedule! He always was very prompt to let you know your grades and all the test were pretty much definitions out of the text! He makes class fun and easy to learn! Just make sure to go to class! Speeches are mandatory!

Took his class couple of semesters ago, and I have to admit that he is one of the best teachers in that school. Made class fun and understandable. Always willing to help students when they are stuck with a certain problem.

one of the best professors I've had at KCC. very entertaining and easy to understand. doesn't overload you with unnecessary homework assignments, just make sure you read the assigned chapters, do all of your speeches (I think there were about 5 of them), and come to class. would definitely take him again!

He is very energetic, enthusiastic, and is an excellent speaker! :p He is supportive and helpful to his students in need and grades fairly well. I really recommend him to anyone who's wants to take a speech class! :)

Keith is a very funny, relatable guy. Negotiates with grades if you think you deserve better. Easy topics on papers--doesn't even feel writing intensive. He's a little moody so come to class and don't BS. Overall GREAT TEACHER, GREAT CLASS. Recommended.

Keith really is great at lecturing and keeping your attention. The homework is clear cut and his feedback helps you to get better and better. Lots of activities done as a class so speeches are less awkward and more open to success because you recognize your peers.

If you don't like speaking in front of the class and presenting, but Speech class is mandatory, take Keith! Initially, I was nervous to be in this class because I HATE presenting. But Keith's class made it easier to present in front of others. He's hilarious, and he'll have in class activities to have everyone comfortable with everyone.

Keith is super helpful and encouraging to all hos students regardless of speaking capabilities. I enjoyed his class and his grading is straight forward. I did well because he is a great speech teacher.

Nervous when it comes to public speaking? I hated that topic or thought of public speaking, but Keith made class fun and bearable! He was absolutely funny, encouraging and he made us feel calm when it came time to present. About 2 mini presentation, one group presentation and 2 final (informative & persuasive) speeches about 3-5 minutes each.

Online hw due almost every class. Lots of group work in class. Papers are almost all opinion, but need to apply something from the chapter. Only needed the access code for the online book (that's where the hw is too). Goes over tests and if too much people get the same ? wrong then he gives credit for that ?. Short quizzes almost every class on hw.

He is a great teacher! he makes class enjoyable and less nerve wrecking for students who have a hard time with public speaking. There is a quiz almost everyday on every chapter, but all you have to do is read. He goes straight to the point and makes things clear. I would definitely take his class again.

One of the easiest writing intensives you can take. Only 4 papers, not too long and easy grading. Homework was online and easy, chapter quizzes weekly on the hw but it was not hard whatsoever. Mid term and final was a breeze too.. Got an A

Probably one of the best teachers I've ever taken. He makes coming to class fun and enjoyable. I wasn't looking forward to taking speech, but he made it bearable. He's funny and cares about his students. I would definitely recommend him if you have to take speech.

By far one of my most favorite professors that I've had at this school. He's hilarious and teaches the class while also keeping us engaged and entertained. I would definitely take another course by Keith.

What can be said about Keith that hasn't already? Keith is an indispensable asset to KCC. One of the best profs I have had the privilege of working with and certainly top tier at KCC. He is open and honest in his communication, and has very clear standards for his class and grading. Extremely well laid out curriculum and Keith keeps it interesting.

I really didn't want to take a speech class but once the first week of classes were done I felt so comfortable in class because of the ambiance that he sets for the class. Hes super straight forward with what he is about and what he expects. Almost felt like i had an uncle teaching a high school class but in college. Hes really great at explaining.

He is bar far one of the best instructors I've ever had at KCC. I'm not a fan of speaking in front of people, but he made it fun. I always looked forward to coming to class. Quizzes are pretty easy.

Afraid of speech class? Then take him. He is nice and super funny. He makes coming to class fun. Also, he is helpful outside class and responds to email quick 5 speeches, 10 pop quizes, midterm and final, and other easy stuff to do. Good luck

Keith is a great professor! He knows the information well and is very encouraging. I came into the class very fearful of public speaking but he was very gentle on me (despite his tough-guy facade). There are quizzes in almost every class so don't miss class or you will miss the points gained from those. The quizzes suck but if you read you'll do ok

Keith is the most genuine professor I have ever had. He can be a little critical when it comes to grading speeches, but as long as you follow his outline and use his critique comments to help improve your future speech grades, you can easily get an A! Sometimes he has random participation assignments so I advise going to all his classes!

If you need speech take from him. Easy class for me bc Im okay w public speaking and he makes you feel comfortable if you are afraid of that. Lots of quizzes but drops lowest 2 so get a textbook. Swears a lot but in a funny way. Don't miss first class or you'll have to go in front of the class alone when you show up. Overall easy class just go.

I was definitely more comfortable with public speaking after taking his class. I enjoyed his lectures. He would swear every so often, but that created a more "comfortable" feeling in his class. Mostly have speeches, but he does have us teach a class and complete a test for each lesson. Make sure to follow his outline requirements!

Really great professor! Made the subject very engaging and made it worthwhile to learn. Grading on speeches are not super harsh, but definitely don't skip out on the days you have a speech to present! Automatic F for the course, so beware! Read the textbook to inform yourself and to study for his pop quizzes.

He is probably the best Professor from KCC. I would take his class again and again. 10/10 recommended you will not regret taking his class. You better hurry because his class is really popular, just sign up for this class. JUST DO IT

This class was by far my favorite class i've ever taken. Keith makes class fun and engaging. Even if you're shy or nervous about speaking, he helps to make you feel more comfortable when speaking. He's super chill and laid back. Just do the outlines and speeches and you'll be fine. Theres quizzes on each chapter of the book but it's easy

Prof. Kashiwada is super cool and funny. His class is easy to get an A if you are engaged. Quizzes are easy, speeches are easy, everything is easy. Also, he is not a tough grader. I highly recommend his class and would take again.

I failed Speech TWO SEMESTERS IN A ROW before Keith... This class was so fun, I didn't want to skip lecture. There is some work to do outside of class, but it is very easy and manageable. Take his class, you won't regret it !

Keith gives very chill vibes, hes very hilarious and loves to swear. The class was very easy going and it made me really comfortable when speaking in front of others (coming from an introvert). Hes a very straightforward type of guy and gives very good feedback on your speeches. Highly would recommend taking his class.

Kashiwada is an amazing professor. He is personable and direct, swears a bunch, and clearly cares for his students. His ability to code switch between local kine talk and textbook instruction is seriously impressive. Attendance is not required but absolutely appreciated. Kashiwada's focus on personal improvement makes a big difference for students.

Professor Kashiwada is the best speech instructor out there. He supports, encourages, and understands the students. The lectures are fun and his sense of humor makes the class alive. If you need to take an oral communication course, take his class. You won't regret it. Make sure to show up for the 2 major speech, both are very easy with his outline

The best professor I've ever had, bar none. He always keeps it real and funny, and although he does talk very casually most of the time, he never loses the professional image. It's like being taught by someone you know. He stresses learning through experience and teaches you what you SHOULD learn rather than what the book wants you to know.

Keith is an amazing teacher, honestly hands down one of the bests teachers you could ever find. I was pretty nervous about taking a speech class, but his casual talks and his humor made it feel like a bunch of friends talking. Hes an easy grader and uses the textbook pretty often. He really appreciates turning on your camera if class is online.

Love Keith! Like others, I was nervous for SP 151 but he made it more bearable as it was via Zoom and he's great at breaking the ice. Show up to class, participate in discussions, make sure to attend final speeches towards the end of the semester. You need the book, but it's open book. Exams/ quizzes not proctored. He's so light hearted. Recommend.

He is super funny and will make your day. He is the most straight up and blunt professor, but in a good way. He makes class enjoyable and even though giving speeches is pretty difficult to do, he makes it easy in a way. I would take him again. Gives really good feedback for next speeches.

One of my favorite teachers ever. Funny and makes learning material really easy. There are 4 major speeches and the rest are just quizzes/tests based on the textbook (+ a couple of easy in-class activities). He makes it really easy for you to get an A as long as you meet him halfway. Only doesn't like when you say "um" or "like" during speeches.

Great professor! You will get an A if you come to class and participate(you have to speak at least one time during the zoom class). There are 2 big speeches at the end of the semester, but those are easy. Just follow his guidelines and you will be fine.

Keith knows how to teach a public speaking class extremely well. This was the most enjoyable, fun, yet engaing class I have ever had. Keith throughout the semester, brought us all together and made us feel comfortable in his class which improved our performance on our speeches, and is all around amazing. I highly recommend this class to everyone.

I was nervous to take a speech class especially via zoom, but professor Keith made me feel right at home. His classes were incredibly engaging, so it made you want to actually learn all the material, plus he did a lot of breakout rooms where we were able to talk with other classmates, which made it more comfortable for everyone. I was really nervous to do this class at first, but it is honestly so great. He makes the class feel very comofrtable and you will probably get to know your classmates better than you would in other classes. As long as you read the chapters, very easy !

Took his 151 class online, i totally recommend his class. He takes the time to help you with your assignments, and responds to your emails quickly. He has lots of assignments involving "writing essays", that you have to present to the entire class, but you can't use notes. His gradings are ehh, but if you do the assignments you will for sure pass.

Keith is fun and understanding, and his class isn't difficult for people who might not be comfortable with public speaking.

Keith is the GOAT! Studying this subject and reading the text may be boring but he brings the concepts (which you will be quizzed on) to life in his examples and lectures. I think he could be a comedian, but he really cares for his students and cultivates an environment that feels safe and easy when it comes to speaking. Amazing professor.

Keith is great! You do have to read chapters, and there will be quizzes based on them. Exams and speech presentations are what's going to really determine your grade. Do everything he says, and you should get a good grade!

Keith is a great professor! I came out of his class feeling more confident in my speaking skills and my communication knowledge. There are many short quizzes which are easy if you review the key terms and definitions in the textbook, and he tells you exactly when there will be a quiz. There are fun group and solo projects. Overall great class!

The structure of the class is great. Keith is very personable and is good at communicating what is expected in all aspects, especially when quizzes and exams are coming up. He gives you a good amount of time to review terms before the quiz by talking with your peers and asking him questions for clarity. The speeches themselves were actually fun.

One of the funniest and most engaging professors you'll ever have. I always looked forward to class because his lectures were genuinely fun and interesting. What I appreciated most was that he gave you freedom with some of the speech topics. I highly recommend taking his class in person and showing up because he truly cares about his students.

GREAT PROFESSOR! Seriously the easiest and fun class I've taken ever. Quizzes/exams are easy, will talk to classmates a lot, there is a group presentation, two final/important speeches at the end.
