Great teacher!! Explains himself well and is always there if you need his help. I strongly suggest you take him!

Overall an interesting class. It wasn't torture to go everyday. He was a very good teacher, and explained his ideas clearly. the only complaint i have is the review sheets. it is a list of about 50 key words, and 4 essay questions. out of those 50 only 15 are on the test. and there is no word bank.

Good teacher overall. Not easy, but makes you work for grades. I got a B, just barely. He sometimes has an attitude when things don't go his way. Try to stay on his good side. He almost made a girl cry in class one day. Kinda a butthole. Only take this course if you have too. There are easier professors for survey courses.

Very good, understanding, fair, funny professor. I tooked him this ummer for two hrs, eagered to go to class, never fell asleep once. Learned alot, exams are very easy if you study and pay atten.. n class. TAKE HIM-YOU'LL THANK ME LATER

Pacholl is an okay prof. His tests are rather straightforward but require a lot of studying. You'll learn quite a bit of history in this class, but take someone else if your looking for a good grade. He gives out very few A's.

Good teacher, lectures are pretty easy to follow. Gives study guides for tests. You must study for test, but if you do, it should be fairly easy. First test I got a C not knowing what to expect, but worked my way up to barely pull an A in the class.

Good Professor; Could tell he really enjoyed history & enjoyed teaching it. The lectures were interesting, he made me like the Early American Republic. The essay tests were not extremely hard, just had to study hard for them; use the study guide!

Dr. Pacholl is a great professor & down to earth guy. His lectures are fun & interesting. However, be prepared to read your butt off, there's a ton of reading in this class. Make sure you read all assigned readings and take good notes, will help w/ the study guide. Made an A, but had to work for it. Highly recommended to develop analytical skills.

I love this guy, he's quite funny, kept history really easy to understand, made it straight to the point and showed many different angles of US history. I love this class and the tests are not too bad 10 fill in the blank, 10 MC and one essay which he gives you 2 options- and also has some pop quizes to help raise grade- ps.. hott teacher!

the lectures are actually very interesting and are fun when we have discussions. only thing dont like is we have to do a lot of reading. other than that he is a great teacher.

I loved this class! Probably the best History class I've taken! Kind of a challenging class but if you pay attention in class, use the study guide, and do all of the reading's you will be just fine! Trust me! He makes learning History fun and energetic.

I LOVE Dr. Pacholl! He is a wonderful professor and really cares about his students. There is a lot of reading but you will learn SO much from him! Study for the tests and do the reading and there is no reason you shouldn't pull off an A

I love Dr. Pacholl! I took him over the summer and have never enjoyed a history class more! There is a good bit of reading but it's not difficult stuff. His tests are essay and fill in the blank but he gives you the essay questions on the study guide. Super nice guy! I got an A+

LOVE THIS CLASS. Not a huge fan of history classes in the past but he makes the time go back quickly and teaches in a fun way. More stories than just throwing facts at you to memorize. He is straight forward and from the GET GO tells you what he expects and sticks to it.

took his maymester class. it was a great learning experience. he loves to teach and makes it easy to understand the material. as long as you read and pay attention in class you'll be able to pass!

He was a very good teacher. I'm not a person who is very good at history, yet, he seemed to relate history to students in various ways. He does do quizzes randomly, but to be fair he does let you use your notes. Study you're vocab that he tells you to study and the finals are really easy. Describe your definitions in depth.

He is really good at trying to make the boring aspects of history better. He also trys and help you when you make mistakes and realizes that we don't all start as great writers. He is full of stories and although we read a lot and there is homework and papers, they all help and some of the readings are really interesting.

Wonderful guy. Class is awesome BUT VERY HARD. but then again, it is Methodology of History. If you plan to take this class make sure you have plenty of time to spare and u r good with details and time management. He can be meticulous but very specific on what he is looking for. The class itself is very challenging but he is an awesome professor!HO

As always Pacholl is an amazing teacher. He is just one of the ones who definitely love what they are doing and try to make it so you do too. He isn't easy but he is fair and although there is a lot of reading, there are not a lot of papers. I suggest you take him, your missing out if you don't.

Dr. Pacholl was an amazing teacher. I took HIST 2111 during Maymester, yes it was a TON on work and was something you had to keep on top of things. Even though it was a little overwhelming at the time. He knows what he is talking about and makes the class intrusting and is willing to help! Amazing Teacher take his class!

BEST HISTORY TEACHER EVER! TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!! I had him for Maymester. Gave us a study guide. the tests were EXACTLY like the study guide. I worked hard and did everything he told us to do & I made a A. I've never been interest in history at ALL, but he made me want to listen and know what was going on! best class ever!

Super helpful, clear instructions, doesn't coddle but isn't a hardass. Very into History, and his enthusiasm spreads among the class. I'll admit some of styles he likes for his discussions were hard (post something in the voice of someone from a particular chapter, etc) however this is really helpful when it comes to exams and whatnot.

HE IS THE BEST! I'm currently taking HIST 2111 online and I would definitely recommend it! There is an online quiz every week, a discussion, and there are three two page essays. On the weeks that there are essays, there isn't a discussion due. Don't let the essay part scare you, he's not a hard grader. Just follow instructions and you have an A!

Dr. P is a great professor and one of my favorites. He loves his job and wants to see his students succeed. He is more than helpful and understands that life throws you curve-balls. Take him if you are given the opportunity to do so. Highly recommend

A great professor! I hate religion but he made our class enjoyable. He made jokes and kept us from being bored by the subject. He's not fooled by mediocre work, but he'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm looking forward to taking another one of his classes next semester.

If you care about your grades you will do fine! Great professor who loves his field of study! He gives study guides and lets students use their notes for exams. I took his online course and while there was a good amount of assignments and reading to do, he makes sure you are over prepared for his tests. He gives very detailed study guides that are identical to his tests.

This is THE BEST professor you can take for any history class. I honestly wish he taught every subject. No other professor will be as straight forward and honest. He tries his best to get students engaged in their schooling and genuinely cares about their success.

Excellent history professor. Extremely knowledgeable, gives extremely useful feedback, and goes above and beyond to encourage participation. Lots of reading, short videos which are helpful, study guides and clear expectations. If you follow his clear grading criteria and DO the work, you will have an A and learn a lot about history in the process!

Dr. Pacholl is a great Professor ! He is really passionate about History and will try his best to make it enjoyable for everyone. I never really liked History but he made it interesting. He also cares a lot about his students and he is very easy to talk to. He is one of th best professors that I have ever taken.

Pacholl was so great to me through a tough season. He let me make up late work for credit and really cared that I was learning about the content! He is a tough grader on papers (be very detailed), and it's important for you to log in and keep up with the assignments.

Dr. Pacholl is a great man and great professor. He cares about his students and takes late work as long as you are respectful and truthful with him. He gives lots of work and readings, but as long as you do it you will do fine. Would reccomend him to anyone .

He's a really cool professor, but since I took the class online we learned all of the material from a textbook. He tries to be engaging and make it inspirational. There is no memorization, but that just means there is so, so much writing. The assignments aren't hard, but it is a lot and the requirements to make an A are very high.

If you have to take any history class, try to get into Dr. Pacholl's class. Very personable teacher, gets along with everyone and makes the content engaging. He expects you to pick up your end of the couch like any good professor would, but he makes the work as streamlined as possible so you can actually focus on learning.

I took this class as an online 3 week Junemester course online. The professor was amazing, very fun guy who gave amazing feedback on all assignments. His assignments are purposeful and reflect content well. The textbook and quizzes are a little intense but overall I enjoyed this class immensely and would recommend it to anyone taking a summer class

Professor Pacholl was a great teacher, he responds fast and he is very interested in what he does. He does give lots of work so be aware of that along with lots of writing. However, it does make you learn the subject more and he is a great professor.

The professor is particular and if you do the minimum it will result in a c or a low b grade. Going above and beyond is necessary for an A, and it is possible. There are a good many writings, a handful of test, with an additional book report that had to be fairly long. Overall he was a very easy going guy, but he takes a while to grade assignments

hes the kind of teacher you won't forget about & I would give 100/5 stars if that was an option. He actually cares about students, gives excellent feedback on work. teaches you how to learn from primary sources while making class fun. was sad when this class ended. hes also funny & conversational during class, we taught him gen z slang, hes cool

History is not my thing but this professor made it so easy to understand. He cares for what each student has to say and will ask students how he can improve the class. He will listen to you and help you with the assignments including deadlines. I think he genuinely cares about his students and for me that says a lot about the professor.

Taking History with Dr. Pacholl was amazing. The textbook he uses is easy to read. He supplies short videos on the topics covered. Quizzes are easy if you do the reading. He supplies a study guide for each module. Pacholl also posted videos discussing topics and giving encouragement. You will not be disappointed in him.

Had him for online 2111. Nice guy and seemed to care about students. Was very nice and gave good feedback. Quizzes are fairly made and discussions and other assignments are not bad. If you do what he says in the directions ( write more than necessary) he will respect it and give good grades.

He was one of the best professors i've ever had. He always gives the best feedback (online class) in a video or audio form! Only thing is, if you do what is listed as the minimum (paragraph, slides, etc.) you will get the minimum grade C. I had to spend 3-4 hours/week on each discussion because of the high requirements. Otherwise, he is very good.

Pacholl is seriously the best History professor at UWG. He had one book for us to read throughout the semester. Assignments varied, but mostly just taking notes on the readings and you post those. You had a final paper on a topic of your choosing, and you had to give a presentation on that project. There were a lot of group activities.

Pacholl is a very funny professor. I am not a fan of history, but he definitely made it easier to enjoy the content. He had some in-class activities that were fun. He also cares about you, and if you need any help, he will be sure to help you. Pacholl also gives great feedback on assignments.

He is the BEST. Great feedback, loves his class, asks us our thoughts on issues (millions of rabbit trails be prepared). Group work, candy on last day-not to brag, but I was in his favorite class this semester. Do what he says and you'll get a good grade. No complaints, made a 9:30 am class my favorite class. I wish I could take his classes forever.
