Waxman is AWESOME. His tests are very easy and simple. He doesn't try to trick you at all. He is always around to help and he's VERY clear. He's really nice, too. He's very passionate about the subject. He's always making us laugh and running around the room trying to bring the subject to life. Don't take astron with anyone but him. He's GREAT.

Amazing teacher! I highly reccommend him, he loves what he's doing and his enthusiam makes it easy to pay attention. If you have any questions he will do his best to explain it in a way you understand. He like putting trick questions on his tests, but overall they are very easy.

Absolutely great teacher and person. Funniest teacher I've ever had and works GREAT with Healy. Astron 12 class was a very enjoyable experience, going up to Lake Sonoma to look at stars...amazing. Take this class if you can get in!(plus it counts as lab credit, which means no biology!)

Waxman is awsome!!! very funny! keeps you interested on his lectures, the only down side are his exams they are pretty hard so pay attention to lectures and book. We also get assigned homework like every two weeks. But he offers some extra credit!! I Loved him very RECOMMENDED!!!!!

ASTRON4: Very, very easy. Explains concepts in simplistic fashion that ANYONE can understand. This class caters to those who need an easy & fun 3 credit requirement filler. Frequently boring to someone who appreciates the complexities of science. This could be a 7th grade class. He is easily distracted, but very energetic & 'fun.'

This teacher is excellent. If you want to learn and get some credits for transfer as well, take this guy! Doesn't rely on the textbook, just attend every class it is worth it. He's very entertaining, and you LEARN THE STUFF! You feel like you want to participate.

Astronomy seems like it would be pretty boring but this teacher makes this subject really interesting and fun. Basically if you show up, do the hw, and take his notes in class, you'll pass.

I love his energy and the way he gets so excited about the subject. Take lots of notes (I actually filled my notebook up). Very little homework, very easy. Used the textbook once. He is more than willing to help, and he has study sessions before the tests. It was fun, I am glad I took him.

When it comes to Keith Waxman, believe the hype! This man is definitely one of the best professors at the Santa Rosa Junior College. He has a great sense of humor that will keep you laughing all semester long! If you're interested in taking astronomy or you just need to get some science requirements out of the way I highly recommend this course!

Keith's classes are so much fun! However, his tests were ridiculous. I would attend every class and take detailed notes, study for hours, go to tutoring and study sessions, and still have a hard time on his tests. A lot of trick questions. Amazing teacher, not so good test maker. Lots of extra credit- take advantage of it!

Keith is one of my favorite teachers at the JC. He teaches clearly and precisely and takes the time to make sure you understand what your doing. Also a very funny guy. He and Healy make a good team.

A friendly, fun, but nonchalant professor. I wish he would treat the field with a little more respect (read: it's college science, not 8th grade science). Skips over most scientific content and focuses on concepts and easy explanations. Wants you to get an A, tells you exactly what will be on tests. Bottom line, he's a fun and easy professor.

Keith is one of my favorite teachers at the junior college so far. He is interesting to learn from, keeps my attention, and makes the subject of astronomy, which is pretty tricky to understand, easier to learn. He gives great examples of the topics! also...hes a giants fan. so that automatically got him on my good side.

Keith is a really good teacher. He makes complicated concepts easier to grasp. His tests can be tricky but as long as you fully understand the material you'll be fine. Chances for extra credit and lowest test score is dropped. Great class, VERY INTERESTING TOO.

Keith, Nesto and John (his two TA's) taught us a fabulous class, fraught with humor, insight, video clips, and incredible imagery of the vast space surrounding us. Keith goes to great effort to make sure everyone understands the material during his lecture. His energy when teaching only serves to imbue everyone with new wonder for the Universe.

Keith is one of the best teacher I've had yet, knows what he is talking about and is very entertaining. Didn't need to open my book at all, the little homework you get is simple and for the most part the answers can just be googled. pretty easy exams too, gives extra credit and is a great respectful guy in general. highly recommended!

This class was awesome! Keith is hilarious, crystal clear, very helpful and passionate about what he teaches. I'll say again that he's hilarious, this class was probably more fun than any other class I've taken at the SRJC. Easy class too, do the easy homeworks and show up for class and I guarantee you'll pass, with an A if you pay attention. =)

Iv always been interested in astronomy in general and Waxman explained it without overwelming me. If anything was unclear he took time during office hours to explain. He also responds quickly to emails. He has a great assistant. Both are very funny and attractive. I would recomend his class to everyone and take another class myself.

Waxman is LEGIT. He's an AMAZING teacher. He loves what he's teaching and makes you love it too, or at least be interested in it. There's A TON of extra credit, he drops your lowest test score and lowest hw score. You get study guides for tests, theres a little hw but you get like 2-3 weeks to complete it. TAKE HIS CLASS. You wont regret it.

When I first read the syllabus I freaked out. I did not think I would be able to learn all the information in the short summer class. Keith makes the class fun and makes it easy to learn. He is the best teacher I have ever. He makes a hard subject easy to learn.

Astronomy is a heavy subject, and if you're not going to put in some work to learn it, you'll fail. But in his class, it won't feel like work. His lectures are always entertaining and memorable. If you don't know much about astronomy, take his class. If you do know a lot about astronomy...take it anyway, learn a little new stuff AND be entertained.

Keith is awesome but class is hard. Do all the extra credit because it will effect your grade. Homework is easy if you do it you most likely get 10 pt. for each. Test are hard so definitely study for sure. As mentioned before attentance is important so only miss a class if you're really sick and have notes give from a friend

Waxmann is a really cool guy! I loooved him,At first I thought he was really loud, but then I understood the reason for it is too keep everybody awake and he sure did!His pretty funny. One of the best. Absolutely passionate about his subject. Clear and articulate. Although the tests can be challenging, he gives a ridiculous amount of EC, so getting an A should be achievable. Also, nice guy. Take this class and learn about your universe!

This is definitely a challenging class, especially if you're not a science-y person, but I still HIGHLY recommend it. Keith is a wonderful teacher and a really nice guy. (Not to mention he's extremely attractive). My advice is do all the EC, and keep up with him about checking your grade--sometimes grades don't get entered which obviously sucks.

I rated Keith for the last class I had him for, figured I'd repeat myself a bit. He's a great teacher when it comes to astronomy. It would be nice if he kept his personal views about the world to himself since they have nothing to do with the subject. but easy A if you show up.

Great teacher! Took him for astro3. Goes over HW and study guides really well, so no tests are surprises. Gives 3 regular exams, and 1 final exam. Drops your lowest reg. exam score. Gives a LOT of extra credit. Really passionate,loves astronomy, he's funny, and his power points are really cool with plenty of pictures and examples. Take him!

Keith's super fun,& very fair,if you try he'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I failed my first exam65 but he drops one exam,got 2 B's on the other exams,full credit on HW,failed the final65 and still got an A.I did extra credit,but he did round me up from a 89% to 90%.So,basically do all the work,study for the exam cause they r hard & tricky

Waxman is by far my FAVORITE teacher at SRJC. He is obviously passionate about astronomy, and loves his students. It was a lecture hall with 200+ students, but he still took the time to learn my name. The only thing is, dont waste your money on the book, it is not necessary to the class AT ALL. Also, his teaching assistant, John, is pretty cute ;)

Very clear, funny, and organized. Offers extra credit. I did enjoy this class and recommend it. Unfortunately I was one of the ppl struggling to stay awake because of the overload that semester. HE IS NOT BORING, I was just exhausted! attending class is important! I failed my test and still passed just by coming to class everyday.

He is super nice and funny, there were very few times when I was bored. He is very strict on cell phones, if you get caught texting he will kick you out of class for the day. The homework was easy, but the tests were tricky so you should study! The course was very interesting, take this class!

This class was very easy. Waxman drops the lowest assignment and test. There are only 3 tests and a final. The tests are the only difficult aspect of the class. Almost all of the questions are trick questions. The material itself is easy. If you carefully read the test questions, you'll get an A in the class.

One of the best instructors I have had. Lectures clear and organized, entertaining, cares about his students, willing to do study sessions, very knowledgeable, provides plenty of extra credit. He insists that if its not on the board or powerpoint, dont memorize or writeIitIit down. Study your notes, Inore the textbook cause even he says he doesnt use Iit and ur A+ guarenteed!

Keith Waxman is a fantastic instructor. He knows his subject very well and made everyday connections with his material. He only quizzes you on what he discusses in class. Be wary Dodger fans: he is a huge Giants fan and will relate much of his material to baseball. Not being a huge baseball fan, I still enjoyed his class very much.

Took him for Astron 4 & 12. Such an amazing teacher! Willing to go to great lengths to help students understand and love astronomy like he does. It's a tough class but 12 is easy and it's so worth it to take it with him above anyone else. If you aren't going into a science related field, this is the class for you

I took his Stellar Astronomy class over the Summer. It was really enjoyable and interesting. Tons of extra credit options. Keith is a nice funny guy, but don't mess with your phone in class! I highly recommend him!

Textbook is not required for the class so don't have to buy it. Remind yourself to turn off the phone or set it into silence. Every time he hears phones ringing or even vibrating, he will kick your ass out from the class. The quizzes can be quite tricky so be careful so read the questions very carefully.

Love Keith! He is a great teacher. I wish every teacher taught with his passion and energy. Take really good notes and study them. You will not need the book. Do as much extra credit as you can. It's easy and will help your grade a lot.

Keith is a great teacher and he uses real life examples which makes the material easy to understand. I didn't touch my textbook once, so don't waste your money on it. The only thing I did not like about this class was how hard the exams were, they didn't really stick to the study guide, just make sure you pay close attention in class.

Waxman is a great professor and is very passionate! Although his tests are pretty hard. He gives you tons of opportunities for extra credit, and makes taking notes fun. Worth taking, but study for his tests and you'll love the class! (Oh and don't buy the book! You don't use it for anything!)

On the first day of class, Keith told us not to buy the book because he would not be using it at all. He lays out everything he expects and has pretty clear lectures, however on the tests he tries his hardest to trick you into a low grade. You must take your time and read each question carefully! This is not a class you can skip until each exam.

This was a very difficult class for me; but then again I'm lazy. Keith is a great teacher who I'd recommend. Work consists of: 1 100-question final exam, 3 no-notes exams (worst grade is dropped), 5 easy homework sheets, and a TON of extra credit. Go to every class unless you want to ruin your grade. AND DON'T EVER USE YOUR CELL PHONE IN HIS CLASS!

Great Teacher, so explanatory and clear. took this class over the summer, theres like 55 points extra credit, don't rely on that STUDY FOR THE QUIZES, they are tricky, you will have them every class period in the beginning of class, Overall, great class, got A, and changed my life in the way I see ourselves, as in like we're just a pale blue dot.

Prof. Waxman is an incredibly intelligent man. His teaching style is loose and funny, but at the same time pointed and concise. I took Greg's class in Newman Auditorium with hundreds of other students. His class was quite interesting but the tests are VERY hard. If you take this class, study like each one is a final exam. He gives extra credit at the end of the semester, which saved my grade. NOT a class you will be able to skate by without putting effort in.

Keith is one of the most entertaining teachers I've ever had. He is experienced and really knows how to conceptualize information that isn't digestible at first. His tests are challenging, but a good grade can easily be earned by taking good notes, studying for tests, and taking advantage of extra credit. Great experience for any student.

Good class I would definitly recommend. You have to go to class or you will miss the random in class assignments. Tests are ok final is hard. Drops lowest test score and homework assignment. Offers a lot of extra credit! Overall fun and interesting.

I would defiantly take him again. He is so passionate about astronomy that it really shows in his lectures. He assigns extra credit or mentions a movie that you should watch, and you can get a point. He stands by his word, so if he says that he will assign extra-extra credit to something, he will.

Keith is hilarious and his lectures are amazing. Attendance isn't mandatory, but don't miss class if you can help it. All test questions except from the short readings are from the lectures. He is a great teacher and the tests are a little hard, but with extra credit getting an A is easy.

During the summer he gave a ton of extra credit. He is clear on what he will test you on and makes the lectures interesting and worth listening to the topics. Don't expect to use your phone in class or sleep because he will kick you out. Attendance is not mandatory but if you want to pass the class, it's a must.

Astron 12 Is easily one of my favorites classes I've taken. Working with telescopes & taking pictures was super cool. Keith is amazing but the assistants were rather loud & distracting. Mine (John B) was really unprofessional and I felt like he was flirting with me & other girls the whole time. Take the class, but try and get a different assistant.

Keith is a fantastic teacher! He is incredibly funny and knows how to work a large lecture class with well-timed jokes and lots of really great, interesting information. He really wants you to succeed! The tests sometimes have trick questions, but they are easy enough to spot most of the time. His class made me reconsider getting an English major!

I don't know how anyone can give Waxman a bad review. He was one of the best if not the best teacher I've ever had. He definitely makes you interested in the subject and is FUNNY. 4 exams and a final, lowest test score gets dropped. Attendance isn't mandatory, but don't be a fool because this is a tough, yet interesting subject.

Keith became my personal friend. He teaches Astronomy inspired by his dad (who used to be a professor at the JC as well). These classes made me feel as if I were a child learning about the universe. Amazing teacher, he is so passionate about Astronomy. He gives out a lot of extra credit, a lot of times it's just to watch a movie. The test are difficult if you do not pay attention is class and take notes.

Waxman is a super entertaining teacher, very interesting lectures which you MUST take notes on. take note that he does some homeworks in class (unscheduled) and the math equations on the exams are worth 20 points. Do well on the math and the homework with a bit of extra credit and you'll pass. Do a bunch of extra credit too!

I took this over the summer and it's the easiest A I've ever gotten. No textbook was used. Show up, pay attention (which is easy because he is HILARIOUS) and you'll pass. He spits out extra credit like crazy and always let us out early and DONT USE YOUR PHONE!! (daily quizzes and one final) Final is pretty much the quizzes combined, easy A.

He is so passionate about his subject and really does a great job teaching. He will get pissed if you're disruptive or not paying attention but the stuff he talks about is so interesting that you're fully engaged the entire time. Easy class, he wants you to pass, he doesn't make your life difficult.

Though Keith only knew about 10% of his students, I still feel that he connects with everyone in his classes. Keith gives a ton of E-A-S-Y extra credit throughout the semester, he offers office hours & he drops your lowest exam + homework score. His lectures are long, but his humor and comments make the lecture go by fast.

There are few teachers that compare to Keith Waxman. He is passionate about Astronomy, engaging, and funny. His lectures fly by and leave you wanting to know what's next. Classes are super fun and chill but BEWARE the tests! Theres a lot of material covered in class, if you miss something its guaranteed to be on the test... but there are a MILLION ways to get extra credit and HW is super easy (he gives you the answers before it's due). Keith is a great guy, really accessible outside of class, great sense of humor, and helpful. The grade is based on 60% exams, 20% final exam, and 20% homework, but Keith offers good amounts of extra credit. Take him if you are taking astronomy classes!

Keith is an amazing professor. I am not a science person, but he sparked my interest in astronomy, and made the subject fun. Lots of extra credit opportunities, worst test and homework grades are dropped at the end of the semester. Hosts study sessions in his office regularly which are VERY beneficial. Coolest and funniest professor I've had! Super chill, you can tell he loves what he's teaching, and he barely assigns anything. There are only 10 homework pages throughout the semester and half of those are in class anyway! Only a few tests and he drops your lowest one so you can pass! Do the work, take notes, and you're set!

Waxman is such an amazing teacher. The only downside is that half the stuff he goes over during lectures, aren't even on the test, so that makes it hard to know what to study. He gives tons of extra credit so make sure you do it all that way if you fail all the tests, you can still get at least a B.

Although I took Astronomy 4 as a GE requirement, he made me interested in the field and I learned a lot after taking his course.

I took Waxman Spring of 2018, he tried to make the subject relevant and the grading easy. He gave tons of extra credit, in the beginning the class is easy, then it gets hard. Don't sleep in class or not attend, it will reflect on your quizzes. Easy A if you show up, ask questions, and write notes. Do not fall asleep or he will kick you out.

If you want to or have to take Astro 3, take it with Waxman. Super cool, funny, gives so much extra credit, there's no way you wouldn't be able to pass his class with all the extra credit he gives. Tests are tricky but just study. My bad grade does not reflect on the type of teacher he is, it's literally my fault because I'm dumb! He's awesome!!

When I first stepped into Keith Waxmans Astronomy course I knew absolutely nothing about It. His energy and enthusiasm actually made me excited to learn and I looked forward to going to class every single time. He is very funny, fair, and offers many extra credit opportunities. I took Astronomy 3 4 and 12 with Mr. Waxman. I originally took astronomy 3 as a general education class, but I took more astronomy classes because I became so interested in the subject. This was in part due to Mr. Waxman's teaching style. He is a great orator and is very inspiring. Id highly recommend taking an astronomy class with him.

Astronomy 3 was a cool course. I learned a lot more than I expected in this class. The classwork was easy to do and it was not bad. Same with the exams. There was also extra credit that was easy to do. Compared to the other general education science classes I took in the past, this was the best one.

Keith Waxmans astrology class was my favorite class last semester. It always felt like a complete change of pace compared to my other classes. He was so mellow and calm. I really loved that about him. His tests were somewhat challenging, but there was extra credit points to make up for it. Lectures were always chill and fun to go to.

Had Waxman for Astron Lab during the Summer. 2 Week VERY quick class. He gives you a week to do the work so it is manageable. Super nice guy and wants students to succeed. Lab activities were ok but it was the first time they were doing the class online. Some lectures, quizzes, labs and final. Quick easy and simple. Highly Recommend.

I took Mr. Waxman in the spring of 2020 and even though the class was transitioned to an online system halfway through the semester, I still learned so much from him. The class was very structured and we had easy tests and quizzes. There was a lot of extra credit so we could redeem ourselves if we messed up in any area.

Gives great lectures, loves what he does and it shows in his work. Pay attention in the lectures, 100% of the test material is from them. His class isn't a chore. If you're taking him online just make sure to keep up with the lectures or you'll find yourself swamped and missing information for the assignments/tests.

Keith let me into class a few days late (online enrollment). Upon starting the online lectures, you can tell how passionate he is about his craft and this motivates me to finish my work. The lectures were so fun and informative and I enjoyed every single minute of them. I would 100% recommend him. Put in what you expect to see in your grade.

TAKE THIS CLASS! There's no way you could fail this class or even get a low grade. 11 Homework assignments and 5 exams the whole semester. Some of the homework is in the actual lecture, so you can't not watch them. His lectures are anywhere between 15-40 minutes, not bad at all. He offers SO much extra credit! Great professor overall.

I'd have to agree with other comments, Waxman's quizzes are challenging but his lectures are engaging and you learn a lot. He offers a bunch of extra credit, which I highly recommend doing. He drops the lowest quiz grade and homework. I strongly encourage you to take good notes, drop in during his office hours, and study from previous quizzes.

Waxman is honestly an amazing professor, he is in my top 2 at SRJC. Lectures are clear and entertaining to watch, he also only grades on what he lectures about and doesn't rely on the textbook. Quizzes weren't too hard just take notes and you'll be fine. I also took him and Stevick for astron 12 which was just as great of an experience.

Clearly super passionate about astronomy and teaching. Explains things very well in lectures and the course is very well outlined; there is also a lot of guidance on how to complete assignments which is super helpful if you get stuck. Lots of extra credit opportunities to help your grade if needed, that are actually interesting and worth your time!

Engaging, humorous, and inspiring I highly recommend this professor. The field work was fun, the activities were educational and you wont be disappointed. NOT for DRY HUMOR people, he tells stories to help you engage he sometimes goes off topic, but its to connect and engage. He is sincere and fun.

I can tell Keith is a great instructor. I had to listen to his online lectures at 2X speed though, because he goes over a TON of material and a lot of " Now, this isn't on the test but.." I really struggle with formulas and dealing with distances and such, but he provides a lot of great extra credit so I don't feel like such a loser

He lectures in videos that you take notes on which he tells you what to write down, then you have 10 hw and 4 exams then a final which are all very easy as long as you just take notes because its all open note! I had an A throughout the entire semester but ended up with a C because I absolutely tanked the final. That was on me. Keith Waxman is an absolutely legendary professor and he deserves a salary raise immediately. He is the only teacher so far who has made asynchronous lectures fun and entertaining. He is truly a character.

I took astronomy 12 with Waxman and Sparks and they both are amazing. They work extremely well together and made everything beyond fun. They both are funny, super caring, and will drop anything to make sure you succeed. At the end of the day this was a fun class taught by two amazing professors. I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

Keith is super passionate about astronomy, his lectures are informative and easy to understand. You will not regret taking him.

Professor Waxman was great! class was fast paced due to it being a summer course but he was clear about grading criteria. Tests and lecture assignments if you do watch the weakly lectures, he won't accept late work though so be careful! overall great!

Amazing professor! You can tell he really cares about what he's teaching, therefore making the class more interesting. You don't really need a textbook but there is this small book you'll need for exams which can be found for like $10-15. If you need an astronomy class, he is the person. He also offers many extra credit opportunities.

BEST TEACHER EVER!!! He can initially seem intimidating, but he genuinely cares about all his students; he is extremely passionate about what he teaches and will never shut down a question. His exams can be tricky, but he provides many resources, including a page of notes.

Great teacher, very down to earth. The only complaint I have is that he doesn't accept late work, but he also gives you a couple weeks to do every assignment, and they only take maybe 20-30 minutes each so you should have plenty of time. He also drops your lowest homework and test score, and offers a bunch of super easy ec. 10/10, would reccomend

Great professor with alot of passion towards the subject. Tests are based solely off material covered in lecture so don't miss class. Tests are somewhat difficult but he is very accessible outside of class to answer questions. Clear grading and expectations.

Funny professor. He gives a lot of extra credit. His lectures are fun to watch and relates to the homework. Resources are easy to find as long as you watch the lectures.

ASTRON12 was a lot of fun and I can really tell that Mr. Waxman loves what he does. This class was really interesting and very straight forward. Mr. Waxman and Ms. Sparks went over the entire course on the first day and their description was very accurate to how the class went.

Funny guy in his lectures, sometimes goes on tangents but they're fun to listen to! Extra credit assignments mainly consisted of watching documentaries of nature and humanity (High pt EC) and normal films (Low pt EC). Long lectures with hidden assignments in them so watch the whole thing! Notes pay off for exams.

THIS is how you get an A in a class!! He was an amazing professor and ALL of the exam answers were in his prerecorded lectures. They weren't that long at all, and honestly there was zero homework. The only assignments we did have, he basically went through them in the lectures 1:1. It's impossible to fail. He's also super nice and funny.

Waxman is a wonderful teacher and shares his passion for astronomy with his students. His courses are engaging and expectation are clearly defined. The observation site is dusty, so everyone must drive slowly or dust might destroy the very expensive telescopes and cameras. If you don't you loose a letter grade, which is fair considering!

I lost my sister five months ago and he showed a lot of compassion. He tells you in the syllabus not to ask for any kind of make ups and I didn't but he definitely cared. He makes time to answer all questions, even the ones that should be asked after class in private.I look forward to his class every Tuesday and Thursday. He makes learning fun.

Honestly the best professor I've ever had at the JC, he's the reason why I changed my major to astronomy entirely. His lectures are engaging, hilarious, and super interesting. He offers a lot of extra credit but you need to show up to every class in order to pass, a lot of information is given verbally.

Such a great professor!! The lectures were so interesting and he made it really interesting to learn about stellar astronomy! He was always so kind and approachable in emails and the work was just the right amount. Not stressful but also helped me learn more. He also was very funny in his lectures. Great class and teacher, would highly recommend!!!

This Class is the easiest class you could possibly take. You go weeks without any homework. Its a very easy A. I recommend. He also is accessible unlike many online teachers. Willing to help and lectures are pretty funny. Hes Great! Take KEITH easiest A you'll ever get.

I took Keith's lab class. The testing in the field was challenging, I received a D on the most difficult of the exams, a B on the other exam, and A's on all the quizzes and assignments. He was a no nonsense professor, that wants you to learn and succeed. In the field he put a strong emphasis on the safety of his students! Highly Recommend him!

Really loved this class and thought Professor Waxman was funny. Very manageable workload, no textbook required, interesting material, gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, and would take this class again. Overall, easy, yet informative class!

I do not like Astronomy at all but Keith is the funniest guy you'll meet and his bond with John makes it 10x's better. The class is a lot of lecture but a fair amount of exams and homework. There's also a lot of ways to raise your grade. Keith even had movie nights and pizza for us which is so sweet. He is a really good guy. Just lock in!

I took this class on a whim because my friend asked me too. This class was incredibly easy and so worth while to take. He is always willing to answer any questions and truly cares about what he teaches. Offers tons of extra credit and allows study guides on test. If you're looking for an easy science/lab, I absolutely recommend taking this class.

My favorite professor ever! Yeah, the lectures can be long but it's full of his humor and he makes them fun to watch (they are not boring). Assignments and tests are super easy if you do the work. He gives out so much extra credit. I would take his class again! I learned so much from him and through his cool examples. TAKE HIS CLASS!!

Keith is one of the best teachers at SRJC. He is very passionate about astronomy and offers lots of extra credit. He has engaging lectures and is always open to answer hypotheticals about the universe. He wants his students to succeed so he posts the homework answers for reference and allows notes for tests then drops your lowest test score.

One of the best prof I've had. Super funny and clear comm of course outline/grading. No makeups/extensions, but he drops your lowest exam & hw score. Tons of EC for watching fun movies and docs, and 10 free pts for not asking for makeups. Appx 11 HW and 4 exams + cumulative final. Just take notes and you'll get an A.

Very Good Professor.

Waxman's one of my favorite professors at the JC! He's very passionate and he's got such a great sense of humor, which makes the lectures a lot more entertaining. I took him for ASTRON 3 & 12, and I loved every minute of it. It's a very manageable, interesting, and fun class overall. I'd 100% recommend Waxman to anyone :)

Great guy and great teacher. I didn't get an A because of my own procrastination, but there are so many extra credit opportunities. Great lecturer online and in person, very clear and precise instruction. I even won a raffle for mlb tickets.

An amazing professor. His lectures are very interesting and easy to follow, and you're allowed to use your notes on exams. Unfortunately, due to some family circumstances, I wasn't able to complete a few assignments, which lowered my grade from an A to a B. Still, with effort, getting an A is very doable.

My favorite professor I've ever had! He has the best lectures, is extremely funny, and is very understanding. DO NOT USE YOUR PHONE IN CLASS, you start with 10 extra credit points for no cell phone use and if anyone uses their phone he deducts 2 points for everyone. Also don't ask for make ups, he gives 5 points extra credit for not asking.

Waxman is super down to earth and honestly one of the better professors I've had. He offers lots of extra credit and has a great sense of humor. His lectures are comprehensive, although not very concise, and I found the class very easy.

Keith's lectures are super interesting and entertaining, and he's just overall a great person and instructor. This class is super easy as long as you actually show up for class and take notes. I also found that he was always available to respond to emails.
