Mrs. Carpenter is GREAT! I never liked math before but she makes its fun! I didnt think it was posible for me to comprehend it either. The way she breaks it down, it's so simple. LOVE HER!

She is an INCREDIBLE teacher. Before her math class I didnt understand anything. She explains things at a level that you WILL understand. And if you dont, she will go over it until you do! I highly recommend her! The class itself is not easy, but she makes it fun and enjoyable to come to class. You walk out with a smile!

I went into this class thinking I would be bored beyond belief. Dr. Carpenter actually made the class interesting and fun to attend. She is always available to help and answer questions. The class is not difficult as long as you do what you're supposed to do. I would recommend anyone who has to take this class take it with her.

The fact that it was summer many didnt want to be there but she even talked about her own personal life to help us feel more comfortable and open. Dr. Carpenter is such a realistic person! She understands her students and even learns from them throughout the semester. She shows motivational videos to see the different mind sets of students and then has a class discussion on the video. This really helped me get my priorities in order and open up more with others. She is an awesome instructor!

sls1125 was my first ever on campus class. Dr Carpenter made that experience worth everything. If there was ever an award for "best teacher" or "teacher of the year" I highly recommend her to get it. With her it's not about the course but it's about the student. The student is suppose to be first! She wants you to succeed and truly believes in you.

Dr. Carpenter is a class act kind of teacher she doesn't treat you like a high school student she treats you like a young adult in college which I love. One of the best

She is a phenomenal professor. She thoroughly goes through powerpoints and provides outlines to study from. The final is worth 50% of the class grade, but it's open notes. She also responds to emails right away.

Overall, Professor Carpenter is a solid teacher, and is quite congenial & pleasant to talk to. You'll have some projects during the semester that are worth a good chunk of your final grade, but as long as you follow the technical aspects of what she wants to a T and you aren't a bumbling wreck during your presentation you should do very nicely.
