Dr. Littlepage was Great! She thoroughly explained everything she talked about in her lectures, and was great at answering questions. Online Mindtap assignments were helpful and easy to complete in a short amount of time. The 4 exams are a challenge though, because they are both lectured and textbook info based. One needs to devote time for success
She doesn't put her powerpoints on Blackboard or provide any useful/accessible information to study. Test criteria is very vague, and she will put her own opinions on the test instead of actual questions. I attended every lecture, am a straight A student, studied EVERYTHING provided, and still got D's on every test. Will never take again!
Professor Littlepage gives great lectures that are easy to understand. However, she doesnt provide any study material or PowerPoints of her lectures. The questions on the tests rarely match the content that was taught. Even with multiple hours of studying, getting an A on any of the tests is unlikely.
One of the worst experiences that I've had with a professor in college thus far. Your grade consists of 2 things, your online Mindtap (textbook) assignments & four in class quizzes that are based on her in class lectures. Does not post lecture notes online. Her mindset is if you miss class, find the notes else where. Difficult to work with.
There will be questions on the exams that she did not discuss in the lectures that she does NOT post. There have been several exams that I've studied very hard on and still got a D on the exams. She does not provide an extra study material and will not give you study guide for the final exam. Very vague lecture notes with specific exam questions.
Your grades are based on 4 midterms and weekly online homework. Online homework is very easy. Take notes in class because she does not post lecture slides. READ the online textbook if you want to get As for the midterms. She clearly mentioned this in class. Lecture notes are not enough. There are some extra credit opportunities.
Ive had many instances where the questions I received on a test were not covered in the chapters or lecture. Many questions are based on her opinions, so choosing the right answer is difficult. I received a zero on a quiz and she was not open to discussing the reason why. Seeing quizzes are 50%, you can imagine how much my grade suffered.
Difficult to deal with. Does not have students best interest, will find any reason to fail you. Highly strict. She's really inconsiderate do not take her. Her guidelines are unclear and heavy punishments if you do not follow them.
Her Constitutional Law class was pretty much graded on a handful of sets of briefs and other essays. If youre a poor writer, struggle to follow an outline, or struggle with reading comprehension, I would not recommend this class. If those are your strengths- youll do fine in this class! Shes a tough grader- USE HER OFFICE HOURS.
4 quizzes and weekly online homework make up your grade. She has very long lectures that she doesn't post any where, so you have to attend class. It is also never clear what is going to be on the quizzes, so there has to be a lot of studying on the students part. Overall, the class is decent if you can listen to non-stop lecturing.
Shes kinda annoying but class is easy. You take 4 test and theyre all mindtap questions. 3 mindtap activitys every week but theyre stupid easy and will carry you.
Absolutely rude professor. Take literally anyone else.
I loved her! She makes the lectures interesting. My roommate had a different Pols 1337 teacher and my roommate listened to my recorded lectures (CSD Accommodations). She doesn't have the slides posted anywhere, but just show up to class. Graded on a few things, but if you study lecture notes and mindtap- you're set. I am taking her for Pols 1336
The class is mainly graded by 2 six-page research papers over famous supreme court cases, each being 30 percent of your grade. She also has the students participate in a supreme court case reenactment and answer questions in class for another portion of the grade. The class is very fun and with a little work you can come out with an A.
This professor has zero compassion for students. Mindtaps are easy but watch out for her tests. Attendance isnt mandatory but if you dont show up you dont get the credit. However, she does give extra credit and has clear due dates and grading percentages.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I took her last semester for POLS 1337 and loved her. She makes the lectures interesting, the tests are only 25 questions (MC) of the MINDTAP and lecture notes. She is very sweet and caring. I had her during the pandemic (switched to online) and her transition was flawless. From what I've heard, shes the best POLS prof (1336&37)
I took this class as a core class and this professor made an easy government class hard. She has a very strict syllabus, does not post lecture/power points, and students can NOT help each other out. Tests are lecture and textbook/homework heavy and she doesnt cut any student any slack depending on their situation. She does give extra credit though
The professor is fine, she really knows her stuff and does a great job answering questions and giving insight. The only downside are the test. She makes them based off the material learned in and out of class, but does not give a study guide so you essentially have no idea what's on them which can be really frustrating. And the test are only 30 min
Her homework and quizzes are very easy to get 100s on every time. However, the tests are the difficult ones. They are very specific and some questions are based off what she says during lecture, making it mandatory to attend. Her lectures are very well structured and professional, she really knows her stuff.
Her class was enjoyable at first before the pandemic but during the pandemic Dr. Littlepage showed no compassion for students by giving a random assignment with no warning and her exams require no thinking just memorization of vocab terms. She doesn't post lect slides so be prepared to make a friend or two just in case you miss class.
Tests are harder than the practice tests WAY harder!
The professor's exams are "more randomized" because she adds in her own questions to the exam, which makes it sooo difficult. The exam will mostly consist of her lectures and a bit of Cengage. If you study based on her lectures, Cengage assignments, and READINGS (important) and memorize very well, you should be fine.
Dr. Littlepage is an alright professor. If you take her political science classes and are looking to just pass her grading makes it easy to do so. Even if you bomb all the test (like i did) as long as you do all the home works (which are super easy) you can still pull off a solid C
I enjoyed her class. Mindtap assignments were very easy. Exams were tough, but if you work hard to keep up with weekly mindtap activities, read the book, and watch her recorded lectures, you will be able to pass all of the exams. She provided several extra credit opportunities. She seems like a nice lady who is passionate about what she teaches.
Class was super easy, I don't know if it is because of COVID-19, and we switched online. But grades are easy A's. Only thing to worry about is tests, but they are more lecture heavy so even if you do bad on them you'll still pass with a B
Good professor, decent class, just not as good as the others.
Her "advise" for testing is study everything. Under no circumstance would I ever take her for any class ever again. She deliberately said that homework's and quizzes were meant to bring our grade up and tests were meant to bring them down. If you earn a good grade, you should receive it! Not be given test material to intentionally lower your grade.
Worst experiences I've had with a professor. Extremely inconsiderate & rude. Had a situation where we discussed and she ensured I would get a C in the class if I got a 60 on the final. Got exactly a 60 and she still submitted a "D" to the Uni and was firm on not changing it even after we both agreed. Good student who studies and almost failed. BAD.
This professor's way of studying for the exam is to "study everything" If you don't spend most of your time reading, watching lectures, doing assignments, you won't pass. She literally went into the first test blind because she didn't give a true rundown of what it would be likeoverall, quite a hard class.
She's one of the worst professors that I've ever had the displeasure of being in a course with. Her test are extremely difficult she does not give a review of the topics we should focus on instead just says that we should learn everything that is in the textbook. The textbook has extremely long chapters with too much irrelevant info. Dont take her
even if you do bad on the exams, you'll still have the ability to get an A because she gives so much extra credit. she was honestly a good professor and her lectures aren't too long. there's about 3 homework assignments a week and you read a chapter too. i ended up with a high A. as long as you try, you'll do fine
Listen, this entire class is case briefs and if you aren't good at that start practicing before you take this class. Listen to these reviews. THIS CLASS IS HARD.
This class is based mainly on exams and mindtap assignments. Extra credit was provided. She does provide lecture videos, however they are removed every Friday night. The exams are no problem as long as you take good notes on both her lectures and the textbook readings throughout the week.
Not the easiest prof to work with. She provides EC but you have loads of work and lectures close every Friday.
This class was extremely difficult. She doesnt give any details about what will be on the exam. She offers no form of study guide or curve, even though the whole class is struggling. Instead of trusting her students, shed rather implore a lockdown browser and force students to study information that seems to not help them pass. Dont take her.
Pick another professor. She doesn't have exam reviews and her exam questions are randomized. She doesn't care that you are struggling with passing her exams. Give extra credit but they are essays and are 1% aid to your grade. Requires you to know the content of the chapters inside and out then considers it "fair game". Class will lower your GPA.
My experience with Prof. Littlepage this year was horrible. She pulls everything from the textbook, lectures, and Inquisitive assignments and randomly selects what to make test questions from without a study guide. She cares more about her 'Dr.' title in emails than she does about her students' success. Awful professor, do not take her class!
No study guide for tests so it makes it impossible to know what to study for especially since material is "fair game" from previous chapters. This class will lower your GPA.
If you have any care for your GPA dont take her. This class can get overwhelming especially if with other classes. She gives no study guides to at least narrow down information and most of the time the questions on the test having nothing to do with what you have read in the book. Im sure she thinks shes doing a good job.
The class is weighed by 4 exams--all of which are impossible to pass because Professor does not give study guide or narrow down topics that are on the exam. Students do not have a single clue what to focus on for exams. Exams are 25 questions and cover 400 pages of textbooks and 2 hours worth of lectures (all are over the span of 4 weeks). Beware.
Absolutely horrible class! Too much informations and no study guide or reviews whatsoever from professor. Extra credit? Get ready to attend hours long meeting and write an essay, if youre lucky enough youll get it. Quite frankly, the worst class and professor I have ever taken. Students are not taking in any knowledge, theyre trying to survive!
her class is so frustrating and demotivating bc no matter how much you study or read, passing her tests are almost impossible! she assigns hundreds of pages for us to read & lectures for exams, bc she does not provide study guides, and her tests are only 25 questions (30 min), we never know what to focus on and she does not help at all when you ask
I would not recommend this professor to anyone that cares to pass their class! She gives you a hundred pages to read every week, at least 2 3 lectures to watch plus quizzes. All those Infos are in the exams, 4 exams! Take note on your own, no instruction, no guide. She will not help you if you ever ask!! So many of us tried.
Do yourself a favor, LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS!! This class with the lead of Littlepage will demotivate you, pull all interest out of you, drain you. She doesn't trust you on these exams nor cares about your questions; everything is monitored, but no clue is given. You are on your own and won't even learn a thing!
Please, listen to the other reviews.. they're all true. Tests are a complete chance-either completely lecture based and super easy, or hyper-specific facts from the hundreds of pages of reading. We're given no direction in terms of studying and Ms. Littlepage is pretty rude in addressing simple questions/concerns.
Felt like concerns were blown-off. Asynchronous for fall 2021 and easily most stressful course. There are regular grades to help offset the tests (brutal 4 me). Long chapters were overwhelming, 1-3 a week. Textbook was 40% yet txtbk specifics all over the tests (only 25 questions) Nice over OH, not academically supportive, do not recommend.
This professor is not one of the "easier" ones at UH. But I've taken her 3 times because she is amazing. She is super nice and understanding if you have personal problems. She does make us get a textbook but you don't really need it to pass her class. You do have to show up to class and participate though. That's what papers are on. Just put effort
Currently regretting ever taking this class because this prof makes it impossible to pass tests. I am holding onto faith bc she assigned 8 chapters of reading from the book plus lectures and tells us to study both if we want to pass the next test. She will never tell you if a test is more lecture heavy or more textbook heavy at the very least.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!! This professor thinks the way to study is literally studying everything in the textbook that has so much irrelevant info. The tests are hard with 25 questions and you only earn 1 point per extra credit essay she gives which doesn't do much. School is already stressful as is but she definitely will make it hell.
Hate her class, I've rated her twice and they have taken it down. If this is the last class available online for you DON'T TAKE IT! The professor does not care about her students but more focused on your learning. That is measured inaccurately by a "fair game" exam. The exam has randomized questions without any study material as a review for it.
This class is difficult for no reason, I understand it is required because texas and all but really? The tests are from 9-12 on Fridays and the makeup is from 7-8 pm that same day so not the most convenient if you like to take morning classes. The tests have random questions on extremely specific topics, its just a hot mess.
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR. USE CLEP. No matter how much you study, you will fail her tests. 4 exams, and every exam I've seen questions that are so specific, and never seem to be on the material I've studied. Also, you will see questions from previous chapters you aren't even testing on. Littlepage does not care that you have other classes or a life.
Terrible professor. She reaches out, but does not care to help students at all. I don't have words to describe how infuriating this class got. Choose anyone else.
The professor is very knowledgeable however, her class have a lot work in them and online lectures are being taken down every Friday so do not miss class. Her exams are very hard and random you never know what you going to get. She is not accommodating even though the class is failing. I would not take her if I was you.
I absolutely would not recommend this professor to anyone. This likely will be the most stressful of your classes Bc she gives out heavy workload of lectures with extremely hard tests and throws in random questions shes never taught. I dont even know how made it through this class but Ill say it was mostly luck. Go at your own risk.
I dont think Ive had a professor worse than her. With all the work she gives out she could at least make a list of focus points for students to study for the test. Instead she tells you study the book, inquisitives, and buck load of lectures and hope to pass. Plus your given questions on the test that she never taught or read on.
If possible, take another professor. She is not a good instructor in the slightest, its unfathomable. 100s of pages worth of reading weekly. 2-3 quizzes at an hour each a wk. I would never take again. My mother was dying and she showed absolutely no empathy or understanding but rather gave me a zero on my final for picking up the emergency call.
Dr. littlepage (anything else is a demotion lol) is an okay professor. The exams weren't hard to study for and her lectures were short. around 1-3 weekly inquiz but its really easy to get As on them. We had 4 exams that were half the grade. A lot of people failed exams and feedback was poor. This class is not an easy A but it's possible to get it.
This class set up is impossible and she is not helpful. I don't think she writes her own test questions. It is lockdown browser, 25 questions in 30 minutes and they cover MASSIVE amounts of minute details from the book and no test review sheet. Oh, and also, the textbook was INACCURATE at times, so how can the tests be fair? DO NOT TAKE
Let this professor be your last resort. The tests are what will harm your grade the worst Bc she gives lots of material w/only 25 questions. Why make students study information they will not be tested on? Make that make sense. You will have to study everything still Bc you dont know what random question Littlepage will throw in. Terrible prof
Literally do not take her if you don't need to, her grading criteria is not clear at all and she is not helpful or lenient at all. For all for years of UH I've never had a professor this annoying.
I dont agree with the terrible reviews the exams are 60% on her lectures and 40% on Inquizitives and reading, therefore her grading criterion is not bad, its fair. In addition, she gave opportunity for all for 7% extra credit that would be added to your final grade. I did 4. I highly recommend her if you are a political science major (Im not).
Honestly, do not take this Professor! She does help w your GPA at all! Her EC are extremely time consuming and her exams are based off of 60% lecture and 40% readings but she assigns approximately more than 4 chapters + readings per exam and like 20 lecture videos so its hard to know WHAT to study. Pls dont take her, find another Professor!
If you care about your GPA, don't take her. Worst professor I've taken during my time at UH. Grading criteria is absolutely ridiculous. RUN FAR AWAY
Worst professor. I emailed her a week before an exam to ask if I could take it a day before the actual test day, and she emailed me and kept asking me for specifics ( my grandpa had passed away). she did not allow me to take it a day before she said I had to take it the day of. SHE DOES NOT CARE. She only focuses on cheating! PLEASE DONT TAKE HER!!
Littlepage is an arrogant, self-minded, and inconsiderate professor. She assigns work without really regarding where the class actually is in material. She has fixed deadlines that doesn't allow late work. She teaches the class like it is an advanced law class, when for many of us it's our first class pertaining to the field. She sucks.
The only class I have ever gotten a C in my entire academic career. Exam questions felt random and did not seem to cover major course content. Not exactly bad at teaching, but it felt like how well you do on the exams was based simply on how lucky you were with the questions you got. Course content is fine, but the exams ruin the course for me.
The professor teaches the subject quite well. However, the exams are where you might find yourself having a hard time. The questions are based on assigned chapter readings and lectures, which seem straightforward, but you are given random questions on the exam we never covered. For a GOVT class, it is a lot more stressful than it needs to be.
Stay away from this class, the exams are nothing like what was studied in class. The tests are difficult and extremely confusing. The workload was also bad too.
Dr.Littlepage is one of the best professors ever! She is so incredibly smart. As long as you do the readings and watch her lectures you will be fine. I saw that the biggest problem students would have is not knowing how to study for her exams. The material you watch matters, taking thoughtful notes and doing the readings is all you need to succeed.
Horrible professor! If you care about your gpa, don't take this class. The test are filled with random questions. Each week there are multiple chapters and lectures assigned. Test being only 25 questions and there being an insane amount of content, its nearly impossible getting a decent grade. I hate myself for choosing this prof despite reviews.
she isn't a horrible teacher, if you watch the lectures, the material is digestible and it makes sense. the inquiz assignments are also super easy but her exams make absolutely zero sene, no one knows where she gets the questions from.
she has a question bank of like 200 Qs, u only get 25 random ones so the ppl that happened to pass those exams was bc of luck, they got all the easy questions. horrible. don't take her. she doesn't care act her students, she just wants to feel important n authoritative, very arrogant, rude, never tried to help us no matter how much we asked her to.
Wish I looked at her ratings. 60% of her tests are from online lectures but she removes them weekly. She doesn't post her lecture slides and generally has a very egotistical feeling. There's no reason not to keep any of these things up, especially when they are a large majority of the tests. unnecessarily stressful for a core class.
Professor Littlepage said she is neutral but is completely fine with telling a bunch of kids that their generation does not do as much as the previous generation did, and basically forced an agreement with her. Her test are forward-only, so if you continue you cannot change your answer. She is also unclear on her main ideas in her lecture and test.
simply don't take her. she is nice but she gives like 2 weeks worth of notes and lectures to study for a 25 question exam and no study guide so you really just have to guess what she will put on your exam. It's just an overload
It doesnt matter how much studying you do, if you dont have prior smarts in government, goodluck on those exams. The assignments are pretty easy, but the exams make up most of the grade. I would advise taking a different professor.
Tests come from the textbook, in person lecture, + online video lecture (takes them down every Friday) and consists of 30 questions in 30 minutes. Pages of notes, not knowing WHAT to focus on because she's so cryptic about it. If anything, save those videos, screen record, it will save your life. 7% EC, 3% curve that became a 6% curve. GROUPME>>>
she doesnt really care if you learn or not,, she only cares that your doing the work and your not cheating... she assigns 3 weeks of studying to do over a 25 question test in 30 minutes. do not take her!
Not the worst, just annoying. All of the assignments are easy 100s except the exams, which feel like they have no correlation with the lessons sometimes. She does offer up to around 7 final grade points of extra credit which can help bump your score. If I could go back, I would take someone else and save myself from the stress and frustration.
Short, sweet, and easy to understand lectures. Attend them bc she gives info not in textbooks. You only have to study for familiarization/recognition on her MC tests. Easy tests if you put in a fair amount of effort. No participation required. Lots of textbook readings and inquizitives: the only thing that made this class hard work. Take notes!
Very unpleasant. Avoid at all costs.
This class is the poster child of what is wrong with education. Rather than actually teaching and rewarding students for learning valuable information about government. The professor obliges to turn this into a trivia show, where you have to learn every single piece of obscure information that even our President would not know. Ridiculous.
This professor uses the same videos from years ago of where she explains absolutely nothing noteworthy about any of the topics. Also, she restricts tests to a 3 hour period on only 1 day, which is just unacceptable because its always in the early morning that this 3 hour window is open. Do not take her class, you will not do good.
This class has 4 test, all VERY difficult. If you have not took many government classes, I would suggest going with a different professor. The test are 25 questions with 30 minutes to complete. There is so much information to study it is nearly impossible to pass the test. If I could go back in time I would definitely choose a different professor.
Took her for GOVT 2305 and 2306, the worst assignments ever and lectures barely match the tests
In order to do good in the class, you have to read the textbook and its alot. Her lectures have nothing and the test doesn't have backtracking .The extra credits are worthless because its only 1% of your grade. Don't think those extra credits are easy to take. Don't take her class, its good for your GPA and yourself.
She expects to read pages and pages and prepare weeks before 1 test. This is harder than my chemistry, and calculus courses. The averages for the online tests were 60% max. Even Albert Einstein HIMSELF can't get an A in this course!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE THIS HORRIBLE PROFESSOR!! I do not know how the university allows this behavior.
This class was overall okay. Lots of reading though. The tests are fine as long as you watch all the lectures and have an idea of the textbook chapters. Professor gives around 5-6 extra credit opportunities. Do them because they will help your grade by a lot.
Do it, it hurts, but you will notice the growth at the end of the semester. It was worth it!
Online asynchronous GOVT2306. All homework's and quizzes were correctible up to a 100. Her tests were on information pulled from her lectures and the textbook. The extra credit was to write two page essays on current events. Write your notes under her lecture videos and review before test and you'll do fine.
Never ever will take a class with her! She gives 100000 readings, So many things to do as if we only take one class. The extra credits are only 1 grade. Please DO NOT take class with her. You will regret it.
Not sure how she has a job. Every assignment/test is graded automatically and all lecture videos were made 4+ years ago (judging by her references to Trump). The tests are filled with trick questions and content not covered in the "lectures." Don't even bother taking notes. Only B of my academic career.
Take someone else
Tests only 40% with 25 questions 4 in total 10% each. Has extra credit yet need to spend decent effort ( write papers). Tests are mostly from lecture ( 70%) but do ask for very specific things you could not think of on some questions
The test is 25 questions with a 30-minute time limit. She has short lecture videos that do not align well with the test. On the other hand, she offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. I would still recommend taking McDonald's government class instead.
Only take this professor if you really want to learn about government. You actually have to study since her tests are according to what she says, not what's on the PPT. Not impossible to make an A though since she offers a lot of extra credit opportunities and is not test heavy. She's very down to earth, but I wouldn't go through the hassle again.
Guys I'll be real this class was hard in the begining but once you actually use her lecture notes+ readings you'll be fine her lecture videos aren't long they 8-13 min each. Her exams come from her Lec vids and chapter readings it was honestly an easy A with lots of extra credit and a curve.
She really isn't bad. At first I didn't like her because I felt like her tests were difficult and didn't relate to the lectures, but once you understand her and take good notes for them, you'll be fine. Just take notes on every lecture!!! I never read the chapter readings and even though the tests were 30% from that, I still ended with a 91.
I would advise to take another teacher, especially for this course. Her tests were more based off of what she said in her recorded lectures instead of based on the slide. If you don't genuinely care about government, don't take her. It was hard to study for her tests because she didn't provide study guides.
class and professor are completely fine. exams were majorly based on lecture (videos of varying length, max was almost 20mins or so). literally note down everything she says in her videos and you should do fine. plenty of easy assignments to get 100s on, so if you get 70s on the exams, you will be fine.
This was a bad class. Lots of busy work especially with videos that are at least 4 years old and have wrong information (different from the book). Gives away points at the end of the semester in a desperate attempt to make sure students do not complain.
Her class is very easy but very boring, you don't learn anything, I just did it for the credit. She isn't the nicest in emails, but she didn't give exams thankfully.
Easiest class of my life. Inquisitives and quizzes each week, the quizzes are based on her video lectures and some of the textbook. Only took it because it was a core course I had to take, so glad I chose her though. easy class for real.
Guys, it's a really easy class. Do asych, no real tests. Module quizzes are easy, definitely can do the work in one day (less than an hour).
The class can be tough, but using tools like unstuck AI alongside the textbook helps you stay on top of the material. Attend lectures, take detailed notes, and you'll be fine. This professor has a specific teaching style, but it works if you engage with it.
easiest class ever!! take her!
Very, very easy. No essay, no exam, just weekly 10-question, 10-minute quizzes that are very easy.
She's a pretty good professor if you want an easy A in this government class online! Her work consists of lecture videos and quizzes. There's also a short essay assignment but it's an easy assignment to complete. I would highly recommend her class!
just watch the videos, do the assignments and you will get an A. There isn't any tests which was pretty nice.
guys she needs a higher rating her online class is so easy its just busy work. 3 modules every 2 weeks i finish them in an hour. the only annoying assignments are the inquizzitives i hate them sm but other than that you can speed through everything else. NO TEST. just an essay(waived this year) so instead we did a reading assignment w SAR super ez.
Class was moderate, lots of papers not too difficult not too hard. but if u can avoid her as a professor and take someone else. she is unhelpful, doesn't answer emails, and is very rude. Don't recommend. Also made racist remarks in class.
Take online and it's the easiest class ever no exaggeration. Just pure bust work with 3 modules do every 2 weeks that probably take around 1-2 hours to do. Don't go based off the ratings from her in person classes, her online class is extremely easy.
i took this as an online class SUPER easy and no exams just weekly mcgrawhill assignments that you can finish pretty quickly and weekly quizzes that were kinda hard but other than that super easy love the class
EASIEST ASYC CLASS EVER!!! Grading criteria was clear and straightforward. What you needed to do to pass was clearly stated. You go at your own pace and there are deadlines to meet. The class wasn't stressful and very convenient, especially when you are taking other heavy loaded courses.
super easy, got over a 100 just do the work and you'll be fine trust
Really easy class. There were no exams. The modules consisted of watching videos and writing 2 sentences about what you learned and then a module quiz. I would highly recommend taking her for GOVT2306.
Her online course is very accessible and she has no exams for this class, just quizzes. She gives you 2 weeks to complete 3 modules which you will find is plenty of time. She is passionate about what she teaches and is kind over email too! I am a commuter and this class helps me out so much with my work and school life balance. I recommend.
I'm not sure why her rating is so low; she is a phenomenal teacher. She doesn't assign excessive amounts of work, and the work she does assign is fairly understandable and manageable. She posts videos of her teaching, which covers 90% of the assignments she gives out. If I could retake her as another history course, I would.
Easiest class you will ever take. Watch the videos and write one thing and get a 100. There is a lot of work but you have 2 week to do it and you can finish it in 1.5hr one sitting. Very adorable voice too! currently I have a 96% in this class.
Idk what the other reviews are about, but her GOVT2306 class was super easy! just a bunch of videos you have to watch and quizzes for each module, easy! Work is due every two weeks because it's quite a lot, but not bad. Easy A if you get below a B, then idk what to tell you. Great professor for this course. It is an asynchronous class too.
You will have to write various short essays, and she will grade you strictly on them. Don't expect an easy class, you have to show up and read the texts provided.
You will receive a good grade if you put the work in. There are no tests, just online videos and quizzes.
Her assignments consisted of videos, inquisitives, and quizzes. In terms of rigor it was medium, but the structure of her class made it easy to turn in everything in time. Just take detailed notes and you should be on track to get an A.
No extra credit; however, she does drop quite a bit of assignments. Her quizzes are very detailed and you might not like that, but it really is fine in the end. She is just a professor who wants you to learn more than the curriculum entails. Quick to reply to emails and is kind, which is always a plus. Well-rounded course.
I'm sure the low ratings back then were from when Littlepage had to do lectures for large numbers of people. Compared to what I saw in her asynchronous GOVT class, the workload was easy, with just module quizzes and discussion boards as the assignments. Best part about it? No need to go to CASA for GOVT! Would recommend, even with the low rating.
