She's great. She has great stories from her extensive business background. She doesn't take any crap from anyone. She can put trouble students in their place without causing too much attention.
Great teacher! She is genuinely interested in students. Encourages discussion and doesn't waste your time with meaningless junk. I look forward to her class. She is one of the few teachers at the school that actually has real world business experience (and a lot of it at that). Take her for any class that you can. Plus, she ain't bad to look at!
she makes fun of her students in class. i guess if you the one she isnt making fun of then its funny. She grades unfairly. She definitely favors her students.
she is a very nice person but a close talker. She favors students, starts class early, and doesnt answer emails. but she has very interesting real life experiences. her tests arent too hard and she doesnt require attendance. Very nice lady. as long as you do assignments you will be good!
Her class is very interesting to attend. She keeps you entertained in class. The tests are easy. She knows what she's talking about from her real world experience. She is very understanding with students if you have any issues. Overall an awesome professor. Best I've had at NGCSU!
Ms. Crickey makes class interesting and really holds your attention with her real life examples and stories. She is the most lively and fun teacher I have had as an evening student. It's not easy to be that energetic and keep the interest of the class between 7pm and 10pm, she makes you want to come to class! You learn instead of just memorizing.
By far the best instructor I have had because she has real world experience and dedicates herself to students, not to University politics like the majority of the instructors. Anyone who will jump in the hole with and help you dig yourself out is a blessing and a rarity to students. Be respectful, do your work and ask for help, you will be fine!
She is a very nice person, and a good teacher. She is still "new" so she is learning and making adjustments. She does clearly favor students, but she doesn't "snub" her nose at students that are not her "favorites". Keeps the class entertaining which is key when taking night classes.
Ms. Crickey is a GREAT professor!! She learns everyone's name and is teaches on more of a personal level. She is big into group work, so get used to that. Her tests are very fair and straightforward. As long as you show up and do your assignments, you should be fine.
Great Professor. Truly does care about students. She teaches straight from PowerPoint slides and lets you know what is "important to know (ehem ehem..)" She is bold, straight to the point, and doesn't sugar-coat anything. She may say some things that step on your toes or even upset you, but she is talking from years of corporate life. She's real.
She is willing to do almost anything to help you pass your class. She is the most helpful professor that I've had.
Great teacher! Fair and tells you what to expect on tests. Has many life experiences to share which makes the class very interesting. She is lively and enjoys what she is doing. Be prepared for a lot of group work and hope for responsiblie people to work with. If you pay attention and read the chapters, you shouldn't have any trouble.
Kelli is the coolest teacher no questions asked. Her first few tests were hard but the class got more straight forward afterwards. TAKE HER WHILE SHE CAN! she's too good to be teaching.
Mrs. Crickey is the BEST teacher I have had at North Georgia! She is very helpful and really cares about her students. She makes class really interesting and never teaches the full length of class. I would recommend taking her!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Mrs. Crickey!!! She really makes a confusing subject easy to understand! Very helpful and straightforward!! Take her if you can!!!
Crickey was simply a great professor. The tests get easier as the semester goes on. The final wasn't cumulative. The projects were pretty easy to do although some required more time. Definitely a professor that I recommend taking.
Crickey... Overall I like this class. I think she was a pretty good teacher however she'll put people on the spot, which I think is awkward, but its generally for their own good. Tests were manageable, she gives 2 chances on quizzes too. There is no excuse to not do well in this class.
Mrs. Crickey's class was the best, but don't be fooled when it comes to the projects. She's means business here. The class is easy overall, but she grades hard on the group project. Love this teacher, take her for everything possible!!!!
She is a fantastic teacher! She brings real world experiences to help show us the relevence of the class. Easy to talk to and wants you to do your best. Can be hard on you, but it's for your own good. Would take her for any class possible. 1st test is the worst, but it gets better. Pick group wisely for projects. Not easy, but educational. Love her
Great...close talker, but who cares she is hot!!!
Crickey is a pretty good teacher, she puts you on the spot a lot in class. Shows favoritism towards students who are more proactive about the class. She is a huge procrastinator and she ends up putting it on her students. The end of the semester was so overwhelming because of how much she piled on in such a short time period.
Great Person. Gives examples of real world situations. However, seems disorganized because she never sticks with the slide show. Come on, if your gonna use Melton's slides, aleast arrange them in your "own way".
She is a great teacher. Students have it so easy: people just type whatever they want here(on RMP)because they dont have the balls to actually tell her directly where she can improve. If I ever had an issue I went to her and she was always willing to discuss the issue. I guess some people are just too immature to go to her with their concerns.
THE BEST TEACHER EVER!!! never took a single note or read the text but learned more in this class than any other class I've ever taken! She is a close talker but use that to your advantage. The real world isn't fair so the peope she shows favoratism towards are the ones who she thinks actually care about being there!
TAKE HER!!! She is the best at NGCSU! She actually knows what she's talking about- draws on a lot of cool past experiences! She really does want you to do well, and tries to make you be the best you can be. Read the chapters and you will do great on the tests! Not an easy A, but definitely worth the B..my favorite class I have ever had at North GA!
She's great. If you take the time to ask and pay attention, she will always help when she can. She's very understanding and knows her stuff!! I would definitely take another class with her.
Awesome teacher, refers to a lot of past experiences and really wants you to understand the concepts. Highly recommended !
Crickey is a demanding professor. She is detail oriented and expects you to work for your grade. You will need to read and pay attention, but this is college (+a capstone course). Get over it. She draws from her experience working internationally which is interesting. She has a good sense of humor and makes lectures enjoyable.
Professor Crickey is fantastic. She makes class fun and enjoyable. Get ready to read the textbook a lot but she creates a class where you really absorb the material. There are multiple projects in this class but they are not bad at all.
There are few assignments, meaning few grades. BUT she is an awesome teacher. Uses a lot of her own experience to relate topics well. Tests are generally by the book/powerpoints, which helps a LOT if you study what the textbook says. Really fun to listen to in class, cares for her students' futures in business. Gives great feedback!
Awesome teacher. Cares about what she's talking about. Fair grader. You can fail both tests and still get an A in her class...
She is just too much. She comes off as a little bit conceited. If you skip class, she will talk about you. Not clear at all on what to expect on the first test so that really hurts your grade. I could have gotten an A in the class if she had been just a little bit more clear on what to study for her "case" questions.
Professor Crickey is an amazing professor and industry professional. She is a tough grader, but honestly it forced me to study harder than I have ever studied before so I'm not going to complain about that. What I will complain about is the case paper. I don't feel there was enough information as to what she was looking for. Get ready to study.
Professor Crickey was one of the most amazing professors that I have had while attending North Georgia. She knows what she is teaching because she experienced it in her own life. Not only does she challenge the student academically but also with critical thinking. She is willing to help if you ask for it. She is literally one of a kind.
Professor Crickey is nothing short of wonderful! She is an extremely positive and uplifting person who makes a morning class pleasant. You do have to participate and present in front of the class. The standards are high but she makes the experience positive and is always there to help in whatever way she can!!
Taking International Business with Ms. Crickey has been one of the most inspiring moments in my college career. In 4 years of college, I have hardly seen any professor being as enthusiastic to teach as Ms. Crickey. In her class, It is not about banking that A in the end. It is about understanding the concept.
KC was by far the best prof I have had here. Sure, the class is not super easy, but she knows more information than I could ever imagine knowing. Shes funny, cool, nice, and makes waking up at 7am enjoyable. 10/10 recommend taking her for any class because she is 100% worth it.
Professor C is the rudest professor that I have ever taken. She asks for your opinion, and then when you begin to give it she cuts you off. She doesn't actually care. Her tests are short answer and essay, and if you don't agree with her views you will have a hard time.
Honestly, Crickey was the best professor I have had so far. I wish I had gone to see her sooner because I know I would have gotten a better grade in the class, but she loves her job and her students, and will make sure you understand. Very understanding and fun. 10/10
Professor Crickey really knows what she is talking about. She comes off kind of intimidating in the beginning, but she really does care about you and your learning. There are 3 tests that are short answer (like 1 word or a few words) plus several small writing assignments, and a small presentation. She is more than happy to see you outside of class
Professor Crickey is one of the most caring professors I have ever had. She was willing to work with me to ensure I did the best I could in her class. The syllabus and the first few weeks may intimidate you, but if you stick with it you won't regret it. It's not as hard as it originally seems. 3 tests, several quizzes, and writing assignments.
Not clear at all on what to expect
If you like to self learn and zone out in the back of the classroom and/or adore multiple choice tests, stay away. Tests are all written essay and she WILL call on you to come up to the board at least once per class. She also highly forces group work. Multiple presentations, wasn't fun for me.
Crickey cares a lot about her subject and about students that work hard. She is clear about what she expects of you and holds you to a high standard. If you interact with her and put in the effort you can get a good grade. Slack off and you won't do well.
Tests are straight memorization from the book. Professor is one of the rudest I've had, often making fun of people and interrupting them. She makes me feel insignificant with how she talks to us.
She was an exceptional professor. I struggle with her exams but they were extremely fair. She cares about her students and wants us to be successful. Her class is hard but I wouldnt want an easier teacher if that meant I never had the chance to experience her enthusiasm for the class she teaches. I wish more professors loved their job like she does
Crickey is an amazing professor, but she is a tough grader. There isn't partial credit on the tests but she will help you understand why you missed a question if you go to her office and talk to her.
Prof Crickey is super cool and fun in class. She involves everyone (you won't hide), and has many projects throughout the semester, but they're not too difficult. She has real-world experience that allows her to drive home the principles, not just blab the textbook. Definitely recommend her class unless you like to skim through classes.
Definitely invested in her class, and wants more then grades to truly teach the students. Can be tough compared to other professors for the class, but students will walk out more educated and prepared for proceeding business classes. Definitely take if you are interested in participating and learning more then just earning credit.
Crickey has real experience in management and uses her experience to create understandable examples to help get her points across. Her tests are the hardest tests I've ever taken but it's only because you have to actually understand the material, you can't just memorize vocabulary. But the class was fun and the presentations really help.
Professor Crickey is a highly energetic professor who expects you to participate. If you put in the effort and attend class you can do really well.
Professor Crickey is amazing. I would take her again if I could. She cares so much and shares her personal life experience. Her tests are fill in the blank, and she knows that makes it more difficult and is very open to multiple answers. Don't let that scare you out of the class- you'll surprise yourself with how much you remember.
Crickey is a super knowledgable professor. She has tons of business experience and likes to share her knowledge, which makes her class very interesting and engaging. However, her tests are pretty difficult. You have to study for hours and at least skim the textbook if you want an A since her tests are all fill in the blank. However, it is doable.
Cricket was an amazing professor! She had so much energy and it really keeps the students involved. Be ready to read the book A LOT! Her tests are all fill in the blank and are very difficult. So make sure you know your material and take the online quizzes! that will set you up to do well on her tests! would 100% take her again!
Everything about this woman is fantastic! She's so bubbly even at a 5:30pm class. She makes the content relatable to college students. She really cares about each of her students, and makes an effort to learn their names. She makes me want to change my major to management just so I can take her again!
One of the best lecture-style classes I have ever taken! Every class was engaging, and the lectures coincided with the textbook chapters. The tests are short answer and fill-in-the-blank styled. Speaking as someone who read the book and took lecture notes, the tests were not difficult. She is an amazing professor, so TAKE HER!
One of the most engaging professors in the business school. Her tests are fill-in-the-blank, but not impossible. If you follow her criteria that she lays out for you, it's easy to make a good grade in the class. Don't be discouraged if you bomb a test, because online quizzes will carry your grade in the class.
I took her for International Business in the summer semester. She likes to talk so be prepared for a lecture-heavy course, but she makes it interesting by using current events to make the textbook material more relevant. She will hammer concepts into your mind in class that are on the test, so show up to class and you should be fine. 5 out of 5star
I LOVE her. She is someone I look up to and want as a mentor. Professor Crickey gives real-life advice and she has even stayed after to talk to me about internships. She is all about staying connected (#networking). If you want someone who actually cares about your future, and is engaging, take her. People are turned off by her teaching. NOT ME!
Kelli Crickey is one of the more challenging professors at UNG, and for good reason. You may not like her tests, but you will enjoy the real world experience and advice she provides that is worth more than any dollar amount can pay. My favorite professor at UNG, and even gave me a 3rd chance to submit an assignment when I missed the due date.
Honestly, she will come off as tough and her tests are very tough. But she is one of the only professors Ive ever had that genuinely cared or showed that they genuinely care about me as a person and not just that I do well grade wise but that I really know the content. Shes awesome. Just keep up with your reading and come to class
Took online. She extended deadlines on everything; felt it was unfair to those who turned in work on time. This, after all, is supposed to teach management. One big project, but you work on it all semester. Coursework was designed well, enjoyed learning. Tests were straight forward and easy if you study. Great professor, interacts with class, nice.
One of my favorite classes that I have taken in a long time. Crickey is great and so much fun. She is very experienced, fun, and helpful. There is a usual amount of learnsmart homework but nothing too bad.
She is extremely organized and caring. Her grade is out of 1,000 points, so you always know where you are at grade wise. She has a few projects, but they aren't bad. She is lenient with her grading. Spend time after class to get to know her if you can, it goes a long way. She's an amazing teacher and an amazing person. I have had her twice now.
One of the best professors at UNG. She truly cares for her students and wants to see they all succeed. She is very lecture heavy but she works really hard to make them interesting by incorporating real world examples and personal examples from her own corporate experience. Get on her good side and you will have no problem in this course!
Never had a teacher take off points for going over the word count. Very snappy if you don't do exactly as she says. Material isn't overly difficult. Study where she says to and you'll do well. Seriously though, follow her instructions to a T or she'll take off points.
Professor Crickey is one of my favorite professors at UNG! The textbook is online and you have connect work to do almost every week. The connect work is easy points, so make sure you do it! Her lectures are fun and she connects a lot of the material to what's happening in the world/her experiences. Put effort into the case study & you will do great
Responds quickly to emails and questions. Study her study guides for the tests. One project split in four parts throughout the semester. Last part of the assignment due towards the end of the semester and is a four page report. Follow instructions fully on assignments. Grading is out of 1,000 points, wasnt the easiest to keep track of.
Very rude professor but exams are brain-dead easy so I would take her and collect the easy A.
Best professor ever hands down! Her lectures will keep you engaged & are never boring! Very caring & very funny! Tests are challenging, but not impossible to get a good grade. Study the PowerPoints, & Smartbook to get good test grades. Connect work almost half of your grade out of 1000. 6-8 min presentation, 1000 word paper not too bad. Take her!
An absolute gem. It's a difficult class but she's the best prof at UNG.
She is an awesome teacher and grades fairly. You will have to show up to class for credit. She has an interesting but clear grading system. Would definitely take again!
She is clearly very passionate about what she teaches. She also has a lot of industry experience to help make her teaching more relevant. There is smart book homework due almost every week but it only takes about an hour and are easy A's as long as you do them. There are also 4 reports (two short essays and two 3-5 minute presentations).
LOVE this professor. She's a take-no-crap type of professor and can be strict (I can see why some people may not vibe with her), but she's there to help you improve. She's one you can tell puts her teaching to practice.
She truly cares, as I had health problems while in her class, and she was more than willing to work with me. I missed a presentation day and she didn't let it affect my grade. she was so understanding, and the only reason I didn't make an A is my fault.
Dr. Crickey is amazing and super sweet. She makes the class engaging and interesting. For presentations and exams, she is tough but it definitely prepares you as a business student. That's what we are here to do, learn how to think like business professionals. Highly recommend her because she is so understanding and accessible outside of class.
Kelli Crickey is one of the funniest professors I've ever met. Be prepared to talk in her class, she loves engaging her students to think for themselves. Most of the grades are "reports", but really interesting. Probably my favorite professor I've ever had. She's challenging but caring.
Professor Crickey is very kind and obviously cares about her students' success. She arranges her classes in a very straightforward and easy to follow way. The class is filled with interesting information and Crickey giving real life examples. She is obviously very intelligent and runs and awesome class. I wish she taught more classes.
She is a very kind professor and is there to help you if you need it. Assignment instructions were very clear and the course material is not that difficult.
Took her as a one month online class over the summer, it went extremely well! Get ready to commit about an hour to the class around 5 days a week. Sounds like a lot but it's truly a breeze compares to how these one month classes usually goes. The content on the tests directly reflect the material taught. Highly recommend!
She grades very hard
Dr.Crickey was a great teacher overall. You do the homework and in class, she helps clarify confusing topics. Pay attention to what she has to say in class, she will add to the content from the slides. You have 3 tests, 1 essay, 1 presentation, and the final as the major grades. She grades fairly and gives great feedback on the presentation/essay.
I had an interesting experience in Crickey's class. She's pretty chill in the sense that she's more of a friend than a professor, but she doesn't like repeating herself or being challenged, so be weary of that. The coursework is not difficult, but the exams are brutal so STUDY for them. For her projects, just follow her instructions to the T.
Professor Crickey is a fantastic professor when it comes to this course. She teaches the material, which comes straight from the exams. However, she is a VERY tough grader in the presentation and essay. Besides that, study the textbook and do the homework, and it's an easy class.
Great professor, lectures are interesting, do some activities in class. Work is middle level difficulty, but she really helps you.
Great professor. Make sure you get on her good side. She will definitely be able to help you get into bigger careers, and she would be supportive of whatever you choose. Super funny, energetic, and great speaker. She knows how to grab attention. No phones whatsoever! Be communicative and confident with her and friendship will go far.
It was her first time teaching this course and she was incredible. Content is super straightforward. There are three tests all open note that are practically the quizzes. There are also 3 presentations, 2 being in front of a small group and the final one in front of the whole class. She gives amazing feedback and wants to help you improve.
Well structured online class. Very clear grading criteria, as long as you followed the instructions well you would get 100s on the discussion boards and reports.
Hard to work with as a person! Anything you say to her, she will take personally, and never lets you speak. She's unprofessional, save yourself a headache, go to the other proffesor!
Do not ever take a summer course with her. There were 2 days in between Exam 3 and the Final Exam. Not to mention, upwards of 6 connect assignments due almost daily. I can work full-time and take 5, 16-week classes, but the workload of this class alone! was mentally exhausting and almost made me want to drop out. She is super nice though! Good Luck
I love prof. Crickey! Probably the most enjoyable teacher I have ever had! Pretty easy assignments and HW. There are 2 tests, and the third is the final. She lets you fill out a page of notes you can bring to the test! She is super funny and made class enjoyable. There are 3 big presentations that you have to individually present, so be ready!
TAKE CRICKEY. i absolutely loved her, the content was easy and she genuinely wants to help you succeed. easy A and her lectures were always entertaining. 3 individual presentations and 3 tests you can use a sheet of notes for. the final is just based on the last 3 chapters in class and super easy. you will not regret taking her! best prof here!
