I am not a science person, but I got an A in her class. She has a review class before every test. If you study you'll be fine. She has a great sense of humor which helps the time pass. If you need to take biology this is the one to take.

Easy class. You show up, take her notes, and that's pretty much it. She gives awesome test reviews. I didn't even have the book and I passed with a really high A. You need to be extremely lazy or a complete moron to fail.

Mrs. Stickrath is an awesome professor. She'll go way above and beyond to help her students succeed. Her tests are a bit on the easy side, but they do require some study time and preparation; you can't just walk in completely unprepared and expect an A. Professor Kelli Stickrath is by far the best teacher I have had at St Pete College so far. She went way above and beyond to make sure everyone in both her lecture and lab classes fully understood the material. Professor Stickrath is one of the most pleasant instructors that I have had. She really has a lot of enthusiasm for her subject and it is obvious that she enjoys teaching. I had professor Stickrath for lab and in a nutshell she is an incredible professor. She is really pleasant, easy to understand, approachable and conveys enthusiasm for the subject. Her class is simple, but the research paper was intense. Do well on that and you'll get an A.

This is the easiest professor at SPC...She tells you exactly whats going to be on a test...Study one day before the exam and you will be fine...

Took class online...no midterm or final...quiz each week which you can take twice...1 major test every 3 weeks and most test questions come from online quizzes. Discussion each week and you can work ahead in the course. I got an A in this class and professor was very nice, sweet, and polite. Textbook was fantastic as well.

I took my first online class with this professor. I didn't really like biology, and I still don't. As a professor, this is the best professor that SPC has to offer. She is very nice, and extremely helpful when needed. THE CLASS IS NOT EASY AND ITS NOT AN EASY A. However, if you study hard, you will succeed. It's not ridiculous. It's fair.

Online - summer semester. Very clear on what & when assignments are due. Very helpful BUT crammed too much info into one semester. Did every chapter in book. No way anyone is learning anything. Quiz once a week; which you can take twice, 3 writing assignments, weekly forum assignments. Use her notes & power point presentations for quizzes & exams.

Prof makes this class a lot of studying, tons of reading,and somewhat tough tests/quizzes. You have to understand the entire chapter... there's also written work every few weeks that was easy though. Plus there are weekly posts.

Ms. Stickrath was a wonderful teacher. I took biology online and, although I HATE science classes with a passion, hers was relatively pain-free. Yes, there is a quiz each week, but are straight out of the book and they aren't difficult. The exams were the same way and none of them were cummulative. I recommend her for anyone taking biology.

I took her class online Fall 2012 in Bio. She is one of the better prof I have had at SPC. She explains her req's upfront and honest. Her grades post immed. and you can compare them to the syllabus grades so you know exactly where you place. She also offers several opp's for extra credit. I really enjoyed her class and would take her again.

Best for bio hands down. Anyone who says other wise couldn't handle the material. YES bio is a hard class and YES if u want to LEARN u have to bust ur behind. Study her PPT's, quizzes, show up and PAY ATTENTION and you'll be fine. Btw attendance counts big time, 50 pt participation grade. took wetlands and bio 1 with her too.

I took an Environmental Science with her in the Spring 2012. For all of the people that say she is mean in e-mails and has a difficult class, they must be crazy. She is not only the most kind instructor that I've ever had at SPC, but she cares about her students. Also, there are quizzes every week based on the slide/lecture and are very easy.

Had her during the fall semester of 2012. I'm not into science but most of the material in her class was interesting. Not super difficult, just read the powerpoints. I didn't really need to use my book at all but her powerpoint is just an outline of the book. Really friendly and is genuinely interested in her students passing the class.

TAKE HER CLASS! This class is extremely easy to pass, just make sure that you do the current events before each test. Quiz on angel with each chapter that are super easy, and tests are manageable. She was a great professor!! She is funny and tells you everything you need to know for test time. She gave quizzes on most of the chapters, and most of those questions could be found on her test. Awesome professor! Definitely recommend. She lectures using power points and writes on the board. She tells you what you need to know for test time. Quizzes on angel help get you ready for the tests also. She gives you plenty of extra credit opportunities. There is also Jeopardy reviews that test your knowledge on the chapters prior to the test.

BSC1005 is an introductory course. I am not particularly interested in Bio, but Professor Stickrath made it easy, interesting, and fun! She gives extra credit, drops your lowest online quiz grade, and teaches extensively from powerpoint presentations. She is very nice, enthusiastic, helpful, and is a great lecturer. Strongly recommeneded!!

The midterm was a mess but she was willing to help by adding points for the questions worded improperly. She is helpful but the text book could really use some work! Often I felt like they just tried to shove as much random information in the book as they could and as a student I was left reeling. 50 pg ch with no rhythm leaves it hard to study.

I took this class online, it was fairly easy. I honestly didn't use the textbook, probably once or twice here and there, most (not all!) of the information is online on her power-points. Not saying you wont learn anything but its not dull and not hard at all ! Highly recommend.

Professor Stickrath was really great! Be sure to print out lectures and highlight key points as they are what are on her tests (she tells you). There is a quiz for each chapter, and they get a little more difficult towards the end. Tests aren't hard if you study the notes she gives! No other assignments.. but a WONDERFUL teacher!!

Probably the best professor I have ever had. I did not think I would enjoy environmental sustainability going into this semester but Professor Stickrath made the class super fun and interesting. Lots of quizzes but she lets you make them up iff you miss. Both the exams and quiz's are word-for-word from the lectures. Highly recommend.

Professor Stickrath made the biology II lab enjoyable. Assigned a research paper and study guides that are completed in lab after the experiment (including a lot of drawing of specimens). There is a practical mid-term and final exam for which she posts a review sheet online that aids in studying. Not a difficult class if you study.

First time I ever took an online science course. Let me just say, it was by far my favorite class I ever took. Not to mention it was super easy. If you know what you are doing, you will always get an A on her labs and discussions. Her tests and quizzes are quasi-easy (They are a bit reworded). Her exams are easy too if you study.

I've been with SPC for over 2 years and never had a professor I felt inclined to do this for but Stickrath is incredible - always available for help, great sense of humor, grades fairly, etc. Would've gotten an A in the class but it was the mid-term + final that messed me up.

This was an online Bio class during the summer. The course work is mainly online lectures paired with dropbox activities and discussion boards. This course had lots of online quizzes, and some proctored exams (the hardest part of the course). If you can study for the exams, you will pass. The other online stuff just requires a lot of time.

She is so caring and makes sure her students understand the material. If you need help, or don't understand what's being taught, Professor Stickrath is more than happy to help. You're Amazing Professor!!

I was kinda scared to take this class online but Professor Stickrath made it very easy. She wanted her students to succeed. There's an assignment and quiz due every week. They aren't hard and the answers are in the textbook. There is a proctored midterm and final but they are almost exactly like her study guides.

Very interesting class, and the assignments were very clear. Prof. Stickrath provides constructive individual feedback, offers extra credit, and grades fairly. Lots of material to learn for the proctored exams, and the midterm/final are 40% of your grade, so study! I did not need the book, as she provided many PP recaps of all chapters.

Professor Stickrath is a very sweet person, cares about her students, and makes the class fun. We go on field trips to environmental sites in the area and she brings in guest speakers to class. Her lectures move quickly and can feel disorganized because of the amount of information, but overall not a hard class.

Really easy class. The mid-term and final exams are proctored. There are also 2 proctored exams in between the mid-term and final, for a total of 4 exams. You do need to know the material to do well, but she gives a study guide for everything you need to know for each exam. The labs are very easy and fully virtual. Would take again!!

As someone who is not very strong in science courses, this was the perfect course to take to fulfill my requirements. Not very difficult at all. This 10 week summer class consisted of a few discussion posts, quizzes, easy labs assignments, two open book exams, and two proctored exams (midterm and final). Awesome professor!

Molds her mini lectures to be reviews for the class. Dont need to have your camera on, but offers extra credit for having it on sometimes. I wouldn't say it was a lot, but there is definitely homework after EVERY lecture. Gives ample time to do it, but it should take about 45mins max to complete each one. Has dry humor, but very sweet and caring.

Kelli was one of the most amazing teachers I've ever met. You will not be disappointed taking her class. The lectures were well thought out and she really knows how to keep a class engaged. There are extra credit opportunities and tests are open book. The only 2 tests that are not open book are the midterm and final. 1000% recommend this teacher!!!

Dr. Stickrath is by far the best educator I have come in contact with. Not many professors care but Dr.Stickrath does more than care, she wants you to win in life and will push you. For example, she hosts Zoom study sessions before tests or exams and will even email you to make sure you understand the material. overall 10/10

Kahoots for extra credit, Fun field trips (Honeymoon, Brooker creek, Etc), Guest speakers (that bring eagles, dogs, etc). Dissect things, build wind turbines, etc. Super engaging and fun class, I wish I could take it again. Take notes and you will do well and enjoy the class.

Professor Stickrath creates a fun and engaging learning environment in EVR1001C. The lectures are informative, and she incorporates interactive field trips and guest speakers. Though the class can feel fast-paced, Stickrath provides great support - I found unstuck ai helpful for staying on top of the material.

Stickrath is one of the most passionate and organized professors I've ever had. She genuinely cares about her students and goes above and beyond to make sure we succeed. The workload is very manageable if you stay on top of things, but the class does expect you to write something every single week. She's also very clear about grading.

Quizzes & assignments are fairly easy but there were 5 exams worth 65% of your grade. While she gave multiple resources, they weren't all helpful. Her zoom lectures for exam reviews lacked info needed and were a bit confusing at times. However, this class was ok overall, just be ready to read & take plenty of time to study & get things done.

Absolutely loved taking Introduction to Environmental Science. Ms. Kelli is awesome and I'd 100% take her over again in the future if she's teaching any science class that I need. Easiest A you can get if you just do your assignments on time and take notes.

I took Professor Stickrath for Biology Theory and anyone who gives her under a five star rating is delusional! She is the kindest Professor out there and your needs are always her top priority. Also, she makes her classes fun and she loves interacting with students. I wish I could take Professor Stickrath for all of my classes :(

sweet professor, checked in with me through messages when i scored low and offered resources to help. the layout with tests is cool because it isn't just a final and midterm, the tests are chunked out more which is easier for me as a bad test taker. overall wouldn't hesitate to take her again she was so kind
