Make sure you go to class. She notices who goes and pays attention and it can save you from an A- to an A.
Kelli is a pretty good professor. She mainly just reads off the online powerpoints so you don't need to go to class. But you HAVE to study every day or you will fall WAY behind and will do bad on the exams (there are only 5). If you put the work in though, you can easily get an A because all the exams are from the lectures/exam review!
Kelli is by far the best professor I've ever had. She is really passionate about what she teaches and you get that sense even as she is reading off the lecture slides. Exams are fill in the blank short answer but they come straight from the lecture slides. She is really helpful when you have questions and I would recommend taking anatomy with her.
We only had five short-answer tests as our grade, pretty easy. Everything on tests comes from lectures slides, but I would still recommend going because she is such an excellent lecturer that you can sit back and passively absorb everything she's saying. Also, it helps that she's very attractive. Textbook is nice as a reference but not needed.
I loved her anatomy class. By far, my favorite class I've taken at the University of Iowa. She presents her lectures in a clear, concise manner and tests are based completely on her lecture notes. Attendance isn't necessary because she posts all the lecture slides online, but it is very helpful to go. She gives a lot of pointers that help.
Kelli is an amazing teacher. She is extremely friendly and very approachable. She reads right off of her lecture slides (which she also posts online and the tests are based off of the slides) and reading the book is not necessary. Class never goes the entire time; you always get out early. However, tests can be tricky- they are NOT multiple choice.
Kelli is super fun and really approachable. When I went to office hours she was always willing to go over material as much as I needed to feel comfortable. She gives you the lecture slide before class and all questions come directly from then. Going to class isn't mandatory but she does give helpful hints in class of ways to remember things.
She is the best. She was the first teacher who I have had that actually cared about her students.
Took Human Anatomy with her and she was amazing. This was my second time taking it and first time around I got a D and this time around I got an A. Her tests are fill in the blank so it forces you to know your stuff but not very difficult. Go to her office hours, she is awesome and willing to get to know you and gives you hints for the exam.
She knows how to teach. Lecture was interesting. Definitely take anatomy with her instead of online. Clear on grades/test material, except syllabus says class is curved when it is not. Memorize what's on the slides and you can get an A without a curve.
The tests are really hard, but as long as you put in multiple hours of studying you'll be fine. Lectures were great she knows her stuff and just makes it worthwhile to go to the lectures.
Kelli was one of my favorite professors from Iowa! She was a great lecturer and told you everything you need to know for tests in class. That being said, I didn't use the book once and I still passed with an A in the class so I wouldn't waste my money, unless you feel you learn better from books. I highly recommend taking this class with Taeger!
Exams focused on very minor details from online lectures. I have heard that in person she tells you what to know for the exams. Probably better not to take her classes online.
Her tests are difficult because they're written for both Anatomy and Human Growth and Motor Development, but if you actually want to learn something she is an amazing professor. I had her for both classes and if you go to her office hours she really helps! I took it HG&MD online and the online lectures are pretty short and to the point.
Great to talk to during office hours. All content on tests can be found in posted slides. There are a lot of details to remember and only a few will be tested on, so don't underestimate the amount of work it takes to score well.
Dr. Taeger is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. Her exams can be difficult so prepare to study and study hard but the material itself is not difficult. Her exams are not scantron exams. She is always eager to explain and answer questions at office hours or even by email. Overall great professor/human/mentor.
Anatomy lab is just a lot of memorization, so you know it or you dont. The tagging is fair and the TAs and Kelli are really going to try their best to help you succeed. There is no curve and no grade adjustments and this is strictly enforced
She is the nicest professor I have ever had and would take any class with her in the future. I always looked forward to this class because it is so interesting. But beware it is graded on just 5 tests, so study hard because they aren't multiple choice.
Kelli is an awesome professor and as long as you show up to class and are engaged you will get a good grade in her class. She is always willing to help people if you seek her out. She has definitely been my favorite professor on campus because of the help and support she gave me.
hands down my favorite professor/teacher ever, sooo nice and makes everything very understandable
even though anatomy is naturally a hard class, she makes it as straight forward as possible. She was gone for a week and a TA stepped in and I never realized how amazing she was until she left. Would definitely recommend.
Kelli is AMAZING. If you can take her, take her. She reviews the important material before exams and tests over reasonable content. She does go a little fast and is strict about the grading scale, but she helps you out enough that it is very possible to get an A. Can't stress enough how amazing this professor and she keeps lectures humorous!
I took Human Anatomy with Kelli and you can tell she is very knowledgable and passionate about what she teaches. She genuinely cares about her students, and always comes to class with a smile on her face, no matter the circumstances. More than willing to answer questions and I plan to take more of her classes in the future just for fun.
Attendance is required as she puts little information on the slides. She is very clear on what material you need to learn for the exams and is always willing and encouraging students to come to office hours. Study hard for the muscle exam - thats the most difficult one
Kelli is the best professor I have ever had. Lecture is really important. She puts the slides online, but they're usually bare. Her tests are difficult, but everything she teaches in lecture has what's on the test. Do the study guides she posts, they're just like the tests. The tests are tough, but she's an amazing teacher. Make sure you study.
Kelli is great. Yes, her class is tough and you have to work, but if you go to lecture she'll usually give you all that you need to know. Every lecture there's a LOT of material that she flies through. Would recommend either typing notes or handwriting them prior to lecture (she posts all her lectures early) and filling in more during lecture.
Exams are very hard. She teaches well and really cares though.
Kelli really cares about the information she is giving. She makes every lecture interesting and does her best to be available outside of class. I couldn't make it to her office hours but i emailed her and she got back to me within a couple of hours.
I loved kelli. All her test are based off the lectures so no book necessary, and she explains lectures very well. You have to study to do well. If you do bad in this class its your fault not Kellis. Every piece of info you need is on slides. She does a great job and shes so funny.
I took one of her online courses and her lectures posted were very clear on information we needed to know. She has a very good speaking voice, so it was easy to follow along and take notes. However, you definitely need to study a decent amount to get good grades on exams. Overall, it was a good course taught by a very knowledgeable professor.
There are 5 exams and no homework, so you need to do well on the exams. Relatively easy, but you still need to know your stuff.
Kelli is by far one of my favorite professors/teachers I've had in my 16 years of schooling. She cares about the students and is compassionate. Her lectures are very interesting for the most part, and you should definitely make sure you go. I didn't do as well on the exams during the units I skipped class here and there.
Kelli is a great professor. She is incredibly kind and passionate about anatomy and loves to teach. She made this class incredibly interesting. However, I found this class to be incredibly difficult, and missing class is not an option (or you probably will not do well in the course because YOU NEED TO TAKE GOOD NOTES). The class grade is on 5 exams
Dr. Taeger is an amazing professor. As long as you show up to class and follow along the notes, you well do well in the class. The grade is made up of 5 exams and that's it so you have to do well on the exams. Overall, she's a sweet and nice person who is always available if you have any questions. One of my favorite classes!
I loved Kelli! She makes anatomy understandable and is very clear on what info you need to know on the test. She is also just a generally wonderful person. Lecture was enjoyable and she was extremely helpful outside of class. I would definitely recommend taking a class with Kelli!
Kelli is a certified GOAT. She is the nicest and best teacher Ive had at the university of Iowa. You have to show up to class because she only posts outlines online, but if you study literally everything she says you can easily get 100% on every exam. Kelli is just the best. Love u girl
If you are going to medical school, PA school, dental school, OT/PT school etc... take the higher level anatomy. You will be so much more prepared. This class is by far the easiest class I've taken at Iowa, and it is very basic anatomy. Love Kelli.
Great professor who makes the tests very fair. The textbook is mostly for reference, I didn't use it once though. Go to lecture!! If you study, you'll do fine.
Kelli is a great professor and makes it very clear what will be on the exam. This course was hard just because there was so much information, but make it a priority and ask questions if you have them and you'll do fine. The course is made of up 5 exams that can be difficult if you didn't study a lot. If you must take anatomy, take it with Kelli!
Okay, Kelli is by far the best professor I've had at Iowa. She is seriously so caring and so wanting you to understand things and do well in this class. She genuinely wants you to succeed. Tests are very fair. If you go to class and study, there is no way you won't get a good grade in this class.
I wish I would have taken this class in person because I've heard nothing but great things about Dr. Taeger. However, the online version was great. The pre-recorded lectures lay out everything you need to know in a clear, easy to understand way. I never even opened my textbook, so don't waste your time/money buying it.
If Prof. Taeger wasn't as nice as she is, I would've hated this class. Very memorization heavy. Every few weeks there's a test, which would seem like a thing to hate, but there's so much packed in this class, tests that only cover the past couple weeks was definitely a bonus. Lectures cover exam content and stuff is cut if she doesn't cover it.
Overall she is an amazing professor and I would take one of her classes again. This class is 100% exams and she doesnt assign homework. If you do bad on exams, youre screwed. The one thing I was disappointed about was when I thought I had Covid before an exam, and she practically told me I still had to take the exam when I was sick.
Great professor, super patient. She replied to my email immediately almost every time, and she is always so nice even if the question I've asked is very dumb.
Definitely take this class. As long as you watch the lectures and take good notes, you will get an A in this class. There are no tricks on any of the quizzes or exams. She makes it really easy to learn the material too. The only part that somewhat sucks is there is only quizzes and tests so you have to do well on them.
I took Human Anatomy with Lab online and loved it. Kelli responded to my emails within minutes and she wanted everyone to succeed. If you watch all the lectures and take good notes you should do okay in her class. Anatomy is a very tough class and I did not think I would pass. I think Kelli made this possible.
Anatomy is a hard class but she wants you to succeed. Such a sweet person and really good teacher. You can tell she cares about what shes teaching and her students
Best Professor Ive ever had. If you skip class, you wont have the information, practice, or answers for any exams. The class seems daunting, but if you study a little bit everyday, its extremely doable. Do the objectives and use it as a guideline to study for. Wonderful, helpful Professor who doesnt try to trick you.
Professor Taeger is easily the best professor I've ever had at Iowa. She truly cares about her students and goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to get the grade they want. The class is tough because it's a lot of material but the way she teaches and willingness to help definitely makes it a lot easier.
Kelli is awesome!! I was a freshman taking this course and super nervous about making the transition and being able to obtain a good grade but Kelli made it so easy!! As long as you pay attention during lecture and listen closely to the things she says youll be good! She is always willing to help and a really caring professor! Just put in effort!!
She's really nice and seems sweet but her exams are kinda tough! Average score for exams are 44/65 & I've done higher than that but my grade doesn't even go up. I'm taking only lecture and cant imagine taking this class with lab as well because exams are all memorization over a lot of content.
Professor Taeger was awesome! There is a lot of material, but if you put in the work it makes it much easier. She really cares about her students, gives helpful review and learning materials, and was always happy to be there and help.
Kelli was one of the best professors I have had! Make sure to pay attention during lecture because it is easy to fall behind. If you put in the work, anatomy with Kelli can be a breeze. Her exams are memorization, but no comprehensive exam at the end.
Loved having her as a professor! She definitely wants you to succeed. The course is memorization heavy, but if you start studying in advance the exams aren't bad. She is clear about what will be tested over and gives ways to remember things and practice sheets. The exams and final also only cover the last unit's material which makes it easier.
Dr. Taeger is an amazing professor! I enjoyed her lectures and felt like her exams were very fair and straightforward. Start studying in advance and you will be fine! For the lab portion, I found the practical quiz section of APR to be very helpful and wished I would have started using that sooner.
Kelli Taeger deserves all the 5 star reviews! She is so passionate about what she is teaching and utilizes multiple teaching styles to give students the best experience possible.
she was such a good teacher and keeps you engaged. pay attention and study alot and you'll do fine.
A lot of material for anatomy but she never puts stuff on the exam you didn't see in lecture. Very fair exams as long as you put in the time.
I loved Professor Taeger and the way she structured her class. As long as you pay attention during lectures and put in enough effort, you will be fine. Her exams are fair and straightforward. 10/10 would take another class with her.
Such a great professor! Lectures move fast and cover lots of content, but Prof. Taeger makes the information extremely easy to understand, and paces the class fantastically. She is very accessible outside of class, and more than willing to answer any questions you have about the material.
Professor is very nice and approachable. Material is very hard but she will teach you everything you need to know. Text book not required, she teaches from ppts in lecture - provides slides to take notes online. Quizzes, tests and final exam make up the grade. No extra credit.
Prof. Taeger really cares about the students and tries to make this class as easy as she can. She really is an amazing professor, and puts time into lectures. Lots of homework though, take really good notes and STUDY. Also, you really cannot skip a lecture since they are SO heavy on material.
Out of all my classes taken for my major specific requirements Kelli has been my favorite so far! Yes, the exams take dedicated studying to see good results but her lectures are engaging, fun, and informative. She makes funny jokes during lecture and is very kind and easy to get a hold of outside of class. 100% recommend taking a class from her!
This class was very lecture heavy and be expected to dedicate a lot of time outside of class to the material. She is very helpful and is always willing to meet and go over concepts. If you dedicate the time you'll be fine, and she does her best to make the lectures fun and engaging. I would reccommend her to anyone!
Lectures are super organized and well put together! She always makes sure give clear examples that relates to the real world. Would recommend going to lecture and taking notes on the slides because she does not post completed slides.
I LOVED CLASS WITH HER. She is such a great professor and so helpful. Any anatomy class is going to be difficult but she makes it clear what she's testing you on there are no surprises and she lets you take quizzes as many times as you want so you can actually learn the material. I am honestly sad I wont have her as a professor anymore.
One of the few professors I've had that really knows the information they are presenting and not just reading off the slides. The lectures are the most important part of the class, but they are so well organized and she makes it so you are engaged the whole time. Graded on weekly quizzes that you can take as many times as you want and 5 exams.
best professor ever. she taught a very challenging class but she taught it in the best way to really understand. after the third exam, I had scored better than my past exams and she emailed me congratulating and encouraging me for improving. she is so helpful and accessible. love her so much
Hands down the BEST professor I've ever had. She is very knowledgeable and very structured in her lectures. Her notes for lectures are fill in the blank style but most of the content is in the slides. YOU EARN YOUR GRADE! Set time to study every week and you will be just fine! She is an amazing professor, reach out to her if you have any questions!
Kelli is AMAZING! My favorite professor at uiowa. Lots of material but makes her exams FAIR and does not try to trick you, so if you know the slides and go to lectures you will do well. Always willing to answer questions and wants her students to succeed. The world needs more Kellis
I always get nervous taking science classes at Iowa because they are so heavy and challenging, however, I didn't feel this way with Kelli. She is an amazing lecturer and provides so many resources to aid in studying. Everything on the exam is in the lecture. If you put the work in, you will do very well. She's phenomenal.
I learned so much from her and really appreciated her lectures, although the class includes an overwhelming amount of information.
Keli is the absolute best professor you will have with such a difficult and overwhelming amount of topics to cover. Do the study guides!! They are almost identical to the exams and you understand how she asks questions. She's the best!!!!!
I love Kelli! She is the best. Not only is she a great teacher, she's an even better person. I highly recommend this class!
Took this professor as a senior as one of my last classes before graduation. I have yet to see a professor use such bad teaching methods. Speaks too fast, deletes material off slides, skips slides, flips back and forth all lecture. Let me save you the time, if you want to take a class where the prof acts like you are in grade school, this is it.
Incredible Professor and person. Lectures are amazing and if you take good notes and study lectures outside of class you will do wee. Highly recommend using questions at end of each ppt as guides. Definitely go to SI every week. Favorite professor at Iowa.
Amazing professor and lecturer. Very thorough and attentive to student questions and comments.
Kelli is an amazing professor. She made her expectations clear and would do anything to make it easier for her students to learn the material. Whether that be sharing pneumonics or acronyms etc., she made learning fun. I looked forward to going to her lectures & always felt like I could ask her any questions I had.
Anatomy is a hard course, but if you study hard and pay attention in lecture, you'll be fine. The exams come straight from content covered in lecture, so there are never any surprises. An A in this class is very feasible, but you have to be ready to work hard and study harder!
I liked Kelli as a person. However anatomy is a very hard course and requires a lot of work outside of lecture time. Tests are your main grade and can be challenging if you don't properly prepare for them. She however does not take cheating lightly in her course and has ripped up peoples exams in front of the entire lecture room.
fast-paced lectures, no posted lectures
The most perfect professor. Very young so i felt like i had a great bond with her and i could go to her for anything. Anatomy is very difficult but she makes it entertaining. She does not record the lectures so you HAVE to go to lecture or have a friend send you notes. Other than that its just 5 exams and the "final" is just a unit exam!
Kelli is awesome, the class is not easy but if you show up and pay attention, you will do just fine, she makes it very clear what she wants you to know on exams.
Professor Taeger is great! I struggled at the beginning of the semester but soon realized you NEED to know how to study & retain the material. Attending lectures is a must. Exams were similar to the study guide which helped a lot, content is hard so be ready to give it your all. Youtube, SI, and her office hours will be your best friends.
Kelli is an angel on Earth. Anatomy is not easy, but she made it genuinely enjoyable. Content took time to learn but when effort was put in simply from attending lecture, attending SI occasionally, and studying for exams, mastery of content was so rewarding and the info is relevant and sticks with you. Just avoid taking lab at the same time.
Although this class was very heavy with a lot of material to get through and learn, this class was fairly easy. I would make sure to go to lecture, take good notes, and go to office hours. Kelli is one of the best professors I have had, and she was so easy to get a hold of and talk to outside of class. This class was my favorite of the semester!!
Kelli is a good professor, she clearly cares about her students. She goes a little fast and covers a lot of information, but if you ask, she will go back over things. Attendance is mandatory because the videos of the lecture are not posted until all lectures are completed. The hardest part of this class is the sheer amount of information.
I loved taking anatomy with Kelli, it was easily my favorite class of the semester. Lectures were long and had a ton of information, but if you study, you will do well on the exams. She is an amazing professor and is always down to answer your questions!
such an amazing professor. well spoken and clear. Anatomy is just a lot of content but she gives you so many resources to succeed. Spend time studying four days or so before the exams and you will do good. She is very clear with everything you need to know. Seriously one of the best professors i have ever had.
Kelli is my favorite professor ever. Anatomy is a medium level class I would say but she overall makes her expectations clear. She does not take attendance but she is a fast lecturer so when you miss you miss a lot. Go to office hours and check over your tests bc TAs grade them and if there is a mistake she will give you points back! Love her lots!
Professor Taeger is very good at what she does. Class is pretty difficult but if you study you will be fine since the exams are very straightforward. However there are 5 exams and they are all worth 16.67% of your final grade. Attending lectures AND SI is very important to getting a good grade. Absolutely no complaints about the prof. Smart person
Kelli Taeger is truly one of the best professors I have ever had. She is so incredibly kind and is very clear when it comes to her expectations for students in the class. I enjoyed her class even though there is a lot of content; and the textbook her content is based off of is optional for students! Just study bits and pieces instead of cramming!
I wanted to like her because she had good ratings. However, I didn't see her the whole semester; TAs did all the "work" helping students learn. There were test topics that weren't listed on the concepts guide given at the start of the semester. The class was frustrating overall, especially considering I attended TA office hours regularly. I'm sad.
Intro-level Human Anatomy class is very heavy on lecture content. Lectures are very fast-paced. Exams take up a large portion of your grade. The class is heavily memorization-based. Prof was very good about communicating with students. She is genuinely helpful. I would not recommend taking Human Anatomy as a gen ed.
Kelli Taeger is an awesome professor. She knows what she is talking about. There are weekly quizzes. No textbook readings, exam on the lecture content. One con is that she goes through a lot of topics and does not post the lecture recording until before the exam. Otherwise, it needs a lot of time and effort. It requires a lot of active recall.
Professor Taeger has been my favorite professor by far. Anatomy with her was actually enjoyable and crystal clear. There is a lot of material, but if you show up to lecture and pay attention you should be fine. She tells you what to study along with a study guide for exams that are useful. Weekly quizzes aren't hard but they do help your grade.
(Now HHP2100) Kelli is absolutely gifted at teaching. This class is naturally a ton of material but she cares about her students and makes it manageable and interesting - for sure one of my favorite classes!
Kelli was a great lecturer but it is very heavy. Often went through 3 chapters in one day. Attendance is not recored but is the only way to receive the content since she does not post the notes until the day before an exam. 5 exams all 65 points, if you study hard you will be fine. Exam 5 is the final but only over content 5 and no midterm
kelli is chill, and her class isn't anything crazy. thing that kinda sucks is that only exams go into the grade book. i got a C on the first exam and was playing catch up the rest of the semester. use the anki deck by study hawk.
Though the only thing that goes in gradebook is the exams, they are not very hard. If you watch lectures and take decent notes you will have no problem on the exams. Exams are exactly like lectures and sometimes she even emails out what exactly to focus on for studying. One of my favorite professors ever, i would even take her classes for fun.
Kelli is the epitome of born to teach. Lecture is always lined up perfectly. Yes, she goes fast but she will tell you this from the beginning. Examples are always given in the best possible form. I had a love for anatomy before this class and it grew even more after this class. She is the reason I did so well.
My favorite professor by far! The class is difficult and fast-paced, but she does a great job of telling you exactly what you need to know on the exams and provides a lot of practice. Lecture attendance is a must if you want a good grade. Weekly quizzes with unlimited attempts and 5 exams total (sounds like a lot, but she does that to help you)!
As long as you attend all lectures and spend a good amount of time memorizing terms you'll do excellent in the class. Kelli was very accessible and supportive. She did her best to make very content-heavy lectures engaging. We had 5 large exams and everything was as she made it out to be. I'd highly recommend taking a course with her.
