I enjoyed her class a lot. It's lecture with 3 exams and 3 reaction papers. The lectures are not bad at all or boring. She keeps everyone entertained and knows her material. Very clear on what she wants. Easy to follow on lectures. Take her! You won't regret it! OH and she's super funny too. Will not have a boring class.

Professor Hagewen is one of my favorite teachers of all time and the best I've experienced since being at CSN. The class consists of lectures, that she also posts online, 3 reaction papers, and 3 exams. She is extremely nice and understanding, and she is hilarious. I enjoyed going to her class. The textbook is required but I barely used it.

Seriously I HAD NO INTEREST IN THIS CLASS BEFORE I TOOK IT. But now i understand so much! She was by the far THE BEST professor at CSN! She is so understanding and actually cares about her students! Great teacher, typical of a 101 class, whole class is based on terms! I didn't even buy the textbook and got an A. There's 3 tests, and 3 papers, I got 100% on all papers and wrote them in about an hour each. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for good grades, and learn alot!

I loved taking sociology with her. She's a great professor who puts no stress on you. Although there was quite a lot of assignments that was required for her class.I like her teaching style and she gives great examples.

I took this course online, and although I expected to struggle, Kellie understood her students had no prior experience and was very helpful and encouraging. No tests, but you do work on a proposal, all semester. Final draft is the "final". Answers emails quickly. I wish I had taken her before. I'm all done with my Soc. classes now. Take her!!

Kellie was probably the funniest and best teacher i have ever had this spring semester. Not much homework, test is fairly easy if you study, and class lectures are interesting. I suggest you take this class if you want someone who gives enough examples so the information sticks in your head. She is willing to help you pass if you talk to her.

I took this class at a deployed location. The instructor was everything I could have asked for in a teacher. She was clear and concise. You can ask her anything with a speedy response. She is very understanding of my mission duties here (COMM OUT). TAKE ANY CLASS OF HERS AND YOU WILL SUCCEED AS LONG AS YOU DO THE WORK.

She's fairly down to earth, she's funny and talks about things in a way that you understand without having to take notes all the time. The course is really easy due to the opinion based writing assignments and the tests are not hard but not too easy either with the minimal time spent studying, and just showing up for lectures you will pass!

I loved her!!! Attendance is not mandatory but I regret missing class because her lectures were so good and thought provoking!! Definitely recommend her! I laughed so hard in this class and learned so much. I loved going to lecture. Her tests require minimal studying because all her examples just stick and the 4 papers were easy. Very rarely do people ask you to just think and that's all she wants you to do, just take her!

Dr. Hagewen is an awesome professor,took her 4 week online class,and was expecting to struggle,when I did,she was able to help understand(assignment 3). Difficult part of the class was a 6 page essay(3 articles 2 pages),was less than 2 percent to an A-. Expected a C,but thanks to her,I have a better understanding of what is coming up in the future.

Best online class I have ever taken. It was a stressful four weeks, because the assignments are pretty hard and it fast pace, especially if you are taking more classes with it, but she grades easily. What I loved so much is that the assignments are so unique and you actually learn from the course. We only took one quiz, the rest were assignments.

Her statistics class is SUPER easy. Take her if you want an easy A. All exams were open notes!!! Just make sure to pay attention and ask a lot of questions if math isn't really your thing. We barely even touched the book. She also tends to cancel class a lot, but we still finished earlier than my other classes, so highly recommend!

Dr. H is great on making what could be a difficult class easy to understand. She takes a difficult subject, a horrible book, and makes it understandable. You come to class, participate in learning exercises, and you get a good grade. Plus, she is funny, so coming to class is not a drag! She has a bit of a potty mouth so if you are offended..

Kellie does a great job of making an intro statistics class very easy to follow. Come to class, follow along, and you get it. She breaks it down step by step. Book barely used. Only negative is that she is REALLY SLOW in grading. Have an assignment over a month old that has no grade. Take her. Plus, she is funny!

Dr. Hagewen is the best professor at CSN. I went into this class worried I would fail, but taking it with her made it where I understood everything. She is very respectful, will answer ANY questions you have and not judge you for going up to her speed. Stats is not an easy class, but with her, you will pass. Trust me.

She made this semester less intimidating. I went in thinking it was going to be so awful, but it wasn't that bad. She tells you the first day that the math part won't be hard; it's the language portion of it and she was right. The worst part math wise was square roots. She's very understanding and is happy to help if you don't understand a concept.

I took this class every Tuesday. 4 quizes, online mid term, final was an essay, she's a tough grader and thats just how she says she is. Just don't be a right wing extremist and you'll be fine. I took the 4-week online class. She gives assignments for each week, and if you just do them, you'll probably get full credit. My best advice would be to pay attention to the deadlines. The first week's assignments were due Sunday, and the second week's stuff was due Saturday. I spent the rest of my time working my tail off for the lowest A ever.

Professor Hagewen is a very reasonable and understanding teacher. She was not very "present" in the online course, but responds to emails quickly and answers questions thoroughly. If you do all of your assignments and show her you are putting in the effort there is no reason you can't pass this class.

I loved Prof Hagewen's lectures, funny and interesting. However, she grade papers slow and didn't have any feedback/response on them, so you don't really know know where you lose or gain points. All in all there is a fair load of work. Don't forget to write your notes if you plan on taking her.

she is a must take for sociology classes because she really enjoys teaching this subject and does not involve herself or her beliefs when teaching which makes the class a learning experience the way classes should be taught

It was an alright class, you absolutely must get the book to pass. She gives you three attempts on quizzes but the questions change each time and they are hard quizzes. She's an easy grader for the assignments which helped a little to offset the hard quizzes.

I took the 3 hour long class and expected to be bored to death, but Kellie is amazing at entertaining students while teaching them. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I showed up each class because she was my favorite professor. She is extremely hilarious and open. Discussion posts and 5 essays (2-3 page) for the course. I took over the summer term (4 weeks) and it wasn't too bad. As long as you read the material she assigns and do the work you will get an A.

This professor is awesome, and as long as you pay attention and listen, you'll pass her class. She shows stand-up comedy and YouTube videos as learning materials! Can't get any better than that. Understanding towards students. PowerPoints easily accessible outside of class so textbook isnt vital but she sometimes throws in a surprise slide or two. The essays assigned are mainly based off a video or movie presented randomly in class. Incorporates hilarious stories in lectures! So bring some snacks and DO NOT SKIP! Highly recommend her!

Wonderful Professor. I took an 8-week online class and it was fairly easy. Assignments are based on 5 quizzes (which you have 3 chances) and short essays. She responds in a timely manner if you have any questions.

Very good professor! I learned a lot in her class. Test are not very hard as I assumed, but they are aren't very easy. Read the book carefully & you will be able to pass. Excellent professor with clear guidelines. She offers great feedback on assignments. Lot of reading involved but most of it was very interesting. You are graded on a few tests and assignments but if you do the reading you'll understand the content.

I took professor Hagewen's Psy240-Soc240 and she was an excellent professor. She gives great feedback on all assignments. There is an assignment and quiz for each module and an essay type of assignment as the final. As long as you stay up to date on the readings it's a pretty straight forward course.

I came into this class thinking I would do badly... but Kellie is so flexible and she is willing to help and break the problem down if you need further explanation. She is so open minded and anyone is lucky to have her as a professor! Ive taken both her Soc101 and psy210 and her lectures were always so informative and entertaining.

I took Dr. Kellie's hybrid class and thinking that it will be difficult. She does have amazing lectures and give real life examples which made the lecture fun.

The majority grades of this class are based off 4 exams. Each of them are open note, so show up to lecture and take good notes of everything. She gives you reviews of the test as well, which are very similar to the exams and lets you use. Don't use the TI calculator, use one with Order of Operations. Lectures boring, but funny about it. Great prof.

Honestly an amazing professor at CSN. Brutally honest and hilarious. She is more about you learning and taking something away from the class. There are 4 online quizzes. Each are really easy if you listen to lecture or google. 4 Essays, as long as you apply personal experience you will pass. 1-3 page minimums. Her lectures R amazing. Take her.

I took the 4wk online version of psy 240. There is a lot of reading and independent study. You have one homework assignment due each week. One was a little hard to understand what to do, but the others were fairly early. Also an exam each week. 8 total things graded, 50 pts each. Never interacted with teacher

Her 4-week class is so easy! Literally, I purchased the book that was required for her class and found out that there was a return policy of making sure to turn the book back in within 4 days (I think) so that I could get a refund! And I got her class done in 3 days, and got a refund! Basically you can go at your own pace in her class.

Professor Hagewen lectures can be boring at times, but her sense of humor really made the time go by. We had two in-person exams before classes went online due to the coronavirus. Exams were open notes and calculators use was permitted as well. She also gave the class a practice test before exams. No homework as well. Please take this professor!

I write the essay while I watching the video. After I finish watching the video and Take notes, I should write the essay and corrected them. For the exam in Sociology, I got good grades. Even I did take a lots of notes that she presented for talking about the Sociology. She was a nice Professor.

She's great! You are graded by a few things so make sure you are putting in work. There are 4 modules, each has one assignment, one 2-3 page paper, & a 25 question quiz which you can take twice. She holds meetings but those aren't mandatory and if you don't go, it won't affect your grade. Probably one of the easiest classes you'll ever take!

very straightforward class, took the 8 week course. 3 assignments every 2 weeks. all quizzes 1st is based on the modules (multiple choice), 2nd is based on a reading (written response), 3rd was overall module (multiple choice and easy). I recommend this class be sure to check due dates! not too heavy of a course I took this with 4 other courses

I took the 8-week so it was more content in less time but still very light work. Four modules each with PowerPoint slides going over the textbook (don't buy the book!), some extra videos and readings, and then a few assignments and a quiz. No lectures so no interaction with her at all. It's easy content and very doable with other classes or a job.

Kellie really cares about her students learning the material and being successful. She has a slightly biting, sarcastic sense of humor that I appreciated. I took her for both 210 and 240 and learned a lot in both. Statistics isn't the easiest subject, and she really works to make it understandable and interesting for everyone.

I took her 4 week summer class. 3 things were due every week which were 1 short quiz based on the first set of notes, one assignment in which you read a long research study and 4 answer questions about it within 3-4 sentences, and a 25 question quiz over all the notes. The second assignment usually took a while and the questions were challenging.

Took the condensed course and, though it was challenging, I'm glad I took Kellie! We didn't have very many virtual meetings only a couple during reviewing and I'm a little sad about that, because she was really nice, super helpful, and very funny. The quizzes & research study stuff were pretty tough and the textbook was ... quite the read, ahaha.

I like watch videos, review the presentation that professor made, and takes notes. I take the quizzes and I did pass the class. Before write the essay and make a grammar corrections, I did watch the videos and take notes.

Hands down the best class/professor I have taken so far and I genuinely cannot believe I am saying that about a Stats class. Although the material can seem daunting, Dr. Hagewen walks you through it step by step in a way that allows you to understand what you are learning and why. Readings are provided on CANVAS, and Dr. H is absolutely HILARIOUS

The 8wk course was easy. Each module (4) was due every two weeks, which consist of 2 assignments and a quiz (12). First assignment is based on the textbook. Second assignment is on the article. You can find the textbook online, which is useful for taking the quizzes. Downside is that she is a slow grader and you can't access your previous work.

Super easy class. Did it as a summer class and it wasn't too much work. Her grading criteria was clear. You only had a few things to be graded on but thankfully the tests weren't that difficult and the essays could just be written based on your opinion so it was nice to not have to do research other then from the textbook.

She is great! I took an accelerated summer class (soc 275) so there was a lot of reading which is expected. 4 exams and 4 essays, that is it! The essays are opinion based, very easy. The exams are not tough because everything is in the chapters. She is so accommodating as well which is important to me! 10/10 Would take her class again.

Took the 4-week course and honestly didn't open the textbook once. Every week 3 assignments were due. The research articles seem super hard at first, but really it's all super simple stuff if you just look for what the question is actually asking. Pretty easy grader, but really just have to learn everything yourself.

Nervous about taking a stats class TAKE HER. Funny, cares and wants them to actually understand & pass. 5 exams, practice tests beforehand and goes those answers, & retests at end of semester if needed. Hw rare and never counted for grade. Attendance not mandatory but recommend. PP on canvas understandable. Put in effort you will pass.

Professor Hagewen is an amazing professor! She includes IRL examples in lectures. She makes lots of jokes but has a very welcoming environment. If you like comedic lectures, definitely take this class.

You have 4 exams and 4 papers. The exam was based off the pp and the paper was opinion based when writing. So, both was easy to do. Her lectures was fun, funny, and entertaining and she would use real life experiences on subjects to understand. Definitely go to all her lectures. Also she was very lenient and willing to help out. Take her class!!

Kellie is outstanding! I 100% recommend taking any classes that she teaches, as she makes them as interesting as possible. She is so funny and constantly has the class laughing. Her lectures are very detailed but concise, and she is all for making sure you can pass her class.

Honestly, I didn't think I would do well in this class, but I passed with an A. Very clear in the grading, honestly, the reading looked scary at first but it was pretty simple once you read it. A fair grader lets you know what mistakes you did in the assignments. Very good powerpoints and also provides extra videos. Really recommend her class.

THIS PROFESSOR WAS COOL, SHE JUST CURSED TOO MUCH FOR ME BUT EASY GOING. MY SEMESTER HER VOICE KEPT GOING OUT AND WE DIDNT HAVE CLASS MUCH. ONE THING I DIDNT LIKE WAS THE REFLECTION PAPERS DUE DATES WERENT DISPLAYED UNTIL AROUND TWO WEEKS BEFORE CLASS ENDED WHICH MADE US HAVE 6-7 PAPERS DUE LAST MINUTE WHEN SHE COULD HAVE MANAGED THAT BETTER.

I really thought I wasn't going to pass statitics because I hate math but she made the class so fun. She's hilarious, caring wants you to pass her class. Repeats something to you dont understand until you do. Everything is done in class does practices test before an exam which are 5 through the semester. Only down fall is she grades super late.

Dr. Hagewen's PSY240 class is pretty straightforward - just stay on top of the assignments and you'll do well. The readings can seem daunting, but Unstuck study helped me streamline prep. Overall, a fair grader who wants students to succeed.

Had to take this class, overall east if you stay on top of work and don't procrastinate. 8 total essays (25 points each), 2 each week, and 4 quizzes every other week (50 points each). I took her last fall for the 8-week course, so it went by pretty quick. She responds to emails within a day or two, I would recommend to take her class.

Only had 4 Modules in total, each module had 2 reflection papers that were 2-3 pages in length and a module quiz with 25 questions, 45 minutes each (lockdown browser) pretty easy if you review class powerpoint slides. Book was not required but if needed you could get it.

Super easy - only 8 papers (short 1-3 pages each) and 4 quizzes throughout the 8 week course.

I took her for SOC 275 In the summer, 4 week course, and I would say that she was a good professor. There were 8 essays, 2 per week she did want 3 scholarly sources for each essay, since she wanted your opinion to be a informed opinion. 1 test every week it had 20 questions time limit of 35 minutes for each test. None of her tests are proctored.

This course was fun - especially for people who have a genuine interest in PSY! I found the professor to be really great. I took the 4-week condensed course, so yes I was busy but I found a schedule that was easy to follow to complete coursework. You have a weekly paper, but there are multiple questions making the length of the paper reasonable!

While taking Professor Hagewen's four-week online course, she provided attentive feedback on my assignments and offered her support the whole way through. Exactly what I expect from an online college course! :)

Great online class to work at your own pace. She does take a while to grade assignments, but it's because you're creating research process for potential research. Power points are your friend! Ask questions, she will help!
