AT FIRST I THOUGHT THE CLASS WAS GOING TO BE VERY VERY HARD BUT IT TURNS OUT THAT ITS NOT THAT BAD. BUT IF YOU CAN TAKE MS SAYLOR.

Kelly is fair and very organized! If you are organized yourself, punctual, and paying attention.... you will do fine. It's only those who are not invested that don't fare well. Great experience to share with students!

Kelly is a fair teacher; could be a little more clear on what is to be handed in with each paper; actually make subject interesting to someone who didn't really want to be there

I really liked her, but I know that other students didn't, and for good reason. I liked the was her class assgnts were set up and the material was well discussed in class. Her tests were pretty easy (essay), also.

Shes pretty easy. Alot of little quizes, but not hard just get cliff notes, or read. Do an extra credit project and your grade skyrockets. Not too bad

I heard she was a really hard prof. AFTER I registered, and was very scared. But once I got in her class, she is totally awesome! She is hard on the students who dont give a crap, but if you are there to learn, and you pay attention and put your money to good use and come to class, she is the best! I hate writing papers, she made it fun!

She is very helpful provided you ask for help. Coasting through this class is not going to happen but it doesn't require you to break your back either. Kelly is a pretty good instructor. She is very willing to help you out if you need it. She is also pretty hot but she is married.

Very good teacher. Goes out of her way to introduce new ideas on how to improve one's writing. Is not redundant. She does have high standards for attendance and participation. Not an easy A, but good grades are attainable with strong effort.

I didn't expect comp 1 to be challenging, but Donahue's teaching style and no-nonsense approach to the classroom made for a perfect learning environment. One of the sharpest/wittiest instructors I can think of. Only wish she taught higher level courses :(

cu-cu-cachoo professor donahue, grroowwwl! highly touchable. sassy and sarcastic. likes creative ideas, although her office bookshelf is filled with "cliffs notes." her book for the folklore course sucks, but still take the class, it's fun. she's a **** to the students who deserve it and can be a little too opinionated (don't quote joseph cambell)

Straight forward professor. Moves through the subject matter and stays on course. Do the work, use your mind, and the class is easy to obtain an A

I absolutely loved having Kelly as a teacher, and I learned a lot in her class. She's not an easy grader, but if you like English and work hard, her class is more than worthwhile. I'd take her again in an instant.

She's very sarcastic but fun =) I enjoyed her class a lot, though I do have to agree that she was hard on the grading.

She explains everything she wants from you, in detail,and gives examples. She is very thorough. Go to class, do the reading, and you will do fine. Very helpful.

Like everyone else has said, she is a really tough teacher! The topics covered in class are unconvetional. If possible, read the book before the sessions starts. She's only helpful if you want help... be agressive. Yes, you will learn a lot but make sure you're taking 1021 with her becuase you want to not because you have to.

Total babe. Can't remember what we read, or the words that came out of her mouth because I was so distracted by her beauty. Because of this, class was challenging.

If you're looking for the easy way out definitely not the way to go, however if you want to put in a little effort and learn something she's a quality professor. She follows her syllabus to a T so everything you need to know is given to you right away. As long as you do the bit of work you'll do just fine.

I found kelly donahue to be a great teacher! I took two classes from her and did just fine in both. Writing a quality paper takes time and effort. If you are willing to do this you will do fine in her classes.

Kelly was... ok It is a hard class, but if you apply yourself and put lots of time into your papers you will be ok. However, if you do not spend time on your papers she does NOT like that and she will tell you. Also do not be late to her class this seems to annoy her very much. If your on time, ask for help get involved, and apply yourself its fine

Geez, people crying about how hard of a teacher she is are just a bunch of tools. Yea, you have to have your papers done on time and she wants you in the class. Not once has she not answered a question of mine, or told she could not help me. Put effort into your work you'll do well. God forbid you have to actually earn an A. Bunch of Punks.

Kelly Donahue is really easy to get along with. I like that she let me use Green Lantern as a source material for one of my argument essays. She's super organized and that is very much appreciated.

Kelly was my favorite teacher by far. I took her online Comp 1 class Spring semester 2012, and she was extremely helpful and fair. She also gave extra credit. Do the work, it's not a lot,and she's very fair. My grade was a 106%. I couldnt have had a nicer, better teacher for comp 1.

I think it's funny how everyone is saying she is mean. I loved Kelly, I thought she was super funny and honest. I loved listening to her views on the plays we read. She is intelligent and beautiful. She grades fair not hard. Read the material, do the research and spend time on your writing. If you work hard and actually try you will do fine.

If you want an easy A take this class and just do all your work. The subject of each paper is chosen by her and each was well thought out allowing for either side of a position to be chosen by the student. She's smart and helpful. Some classmates thought she was too cynical, i thought she was being a realist. If you want to improve, take this class

Thought she was very helpful, she responded to emails promptly. I felt her grading was fair, if you make an effort in this class you will be fine.

Took this class as online, condensed 8 week Summer session. She responds promptly to emails & gives bonus points if you turned in all papers on time. Put in the effort, ask for help, don't plagiarize, & you'll be just fine. If you're planning to take online or condensed format, just be sure you're motivated enough to keep up with the schedule.

She is a great teacher and I've gotten more out of her online courses than any that I have taken previously. I took her Engl 1021 course last summer and liked it so much that I took her class for Engl 1022 this summer(both online). Yeah, the essays can be tough at times but you'll be a much better student and writer for it. Highly recommended.

I liked Kelly. She was good with D2L which i am slowly realizing some teachers at Century have no clue about. Not the case with Ms. Donahue though she had everything up there ready to go and working good. Kelly is friendly. Pay attention, and listen to her advice, it will be hard to get a bad grade.

I took comp 1 as an online only summer session. Even with all the papers, I would highly recommend her. I didn't always understand her feedback, but if I had asked I know she would of clarified for me. As she was a very fair and understanding teacher. Basically- this is a college course. Act accordingly and you will do well!!!

Too be honest i have read some of the reviews and I cannot understand them. COMP I online with Kelly Donahue is by far the most laid back and easy class i have ever seen on a college campus. I'm not saying you can skip you homework or anything but she is helpful and the online course is a breeze WHILE actually learning to improve basic writing.

I was skeptical about this professor based on the reviews. I actually enjoyed being a student in her online class. She's pretty straight forward & does not accept late work. If you submit every assignment you'll most likely pass. She communicates with her students often to assure confidence and support. I will be taking her next English class.

I've had mostly bad experience taking online classes but Kelly's really wasn't too bad. She is great with using D2L and communicating via D2L and e-mail. There were quite a few papers to be completed for this class and it was a decent amount of work but she seemed to be very fair.

I was going to write her a bad review from how the class started, but she showed that she care for students to pass. She's great with responding back online and she'll email you personally if she sees that you are having problems. She doesn't give useful feedback, but college english classes are useless anyways. A lot of useless reading & hw.

At first I really hated her class and was instantly annoyed with it due to being an online class. Towards the end though, I really liked her and her class. She does have you do A LOT of papers and homework twice a week and it can be a tad bit overwhelming, but this is college and it's going to be fairly challenging. She is willing to help!

Three words... FAST PACED CLASS. Registered for K. Donahue's online ENGL1022 class. With the class only running for a period of two months, I did not expect for her class to be so fast paced. So if you work full time and have family to take care of, or simply do not have the time. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS

Kelly was a fantastic teacher- clear expectations, due dates, and I thought interesting material. Took her for Comp I and liked it so much I registered for her Comp II class. Got A's in both- you just have to actually do the readings and assignments and you'll be fine. Highly recommend.

The hardest thing about this class was doing the reading; that "difficulty" was because the reading was long, not hard. Professor was helpful, always replied to emails/questions when she found time. If you know how to write and cite in MLA, you shouldn't have an issue with the final paper. As expected: class is easier for native English speakers.

Very structured online learning environment. Clear expectations and clear due dates for assignments ahead of time.

Kelly is an incredible instructor. She is the most organized person I've encountered at Century College, and I wish other instructors would put as much time into preparing for their classes as Kelly does. She has very clear grading criteria, responds quickly to email, and her D2L class is clear and detailed. Really appreciated her class.

Kelly was amazing! She was so organized and clear with her expectations. She outlined her expectations and made us do assignments to help us grow in each area of our writing.

Absolutely I recommend this instructor. The writing process is taught step by step and you get feedback at each step. The assignments are interesting and all the reading is online so no textbooks to buy. The course expectations are clear right from the start, you learn how to research and cite. By the end you can confidently write a research essay.

The class overall is easy if you stay up to date on your discussion posts. Also, look ahead and start reading the books BEFORE she assigns them.

Professor Donahue has a clear system, though it can be intense. Stay organized, do the work, and you'll learn a lot. Unstuck ai was a lifesaver for study prep alongside the textbook resources.
