He has his lectures all planned out and really teaches you what you need to know. Although late sometimes it gave the class a refreshing break. As long as you take notes you should be able to get an easy A.

Very nice guy, does a great job of teaching the information. A great deal of stories and examples to help with material but you will need to study. Punctuality not his strength. Overall I would take his class again.

If you take this class with this teacher you can safely assume that he is 99.9% of the time 10+ minutes late to class everyday. He's a good teacher but it miffs me off that we miss 50 minutes a week (1 whole class day) because of his tardyness. We're the ones paying him, so shouldn't he be on time??

Really nice guy, great professor. The class is very interesting, probably because his main job is a psychiatrist and he's got real life examples. He does tend to miss a lot of days, but the days he is there, I was interested and learned a lot.

Fielding is awesome. I think I liked him so much because he reminded me of myself. He has an attitude of "the world is chaos around me but i can't really change it so i'll join it" and it makes lectures interesting and fun even if you aren't into psychology.

I still think about his cat six years later! He made learning enjoyable and getting an A possible, I have rec'd taking his psych class many times.

Said class is mandatory, but not really, it's on your own merit to be there and learn. Class is predictable: 5 tests, a paper, and a final. Very nice man who will help you if you ask for it. Not for the procrastinators who expect a free pass. You must study for the test. Catch is the answers are inside the text that he never referrs to.

I really enjoyed this class. You go in daily, listen to a lecture, and have 5 multiple choice only exams throughout the term. One final project is also required...but that was a breeze. He is a great guy and perfect for anyone who doesn't like homework but isn't afraid to study.

He is a very good teacher! Funny stories that keep the class alive, he is very clear about what he wants. I would retake this class. He does get sick a lot, and is ALWAYS at least 8 minutes late!! Although annoying, over all, I liked his class. Very little homework, but I had to study a lot. He tests from the book, not from notes.

Professor Fielding is amazing! His classes are funny and the stories are enthralling. Your grade is based on 5 tests, a project, and a final. The tests are 100% multiple choice, and I was able to do well on them after a few hours of studying. Most enjoyable class I have taken at Clark so far!

Kelly Fielding was an awesome prof. This is actually his line of work so he interacts with psychology everyday. I loved him as a person too, seemed like a moral person. Class was interesting and he explains what is going to be on the tests. Highly, highly, recommended professor!

If you're even considering taking Psychology, DO IT- and make sure Dr. Fielding's your professor. He's hilarious, extremely knowledgeable, and keeps us entertained with lots of personal stories throughout his lectures. Study well for the tests and you'll get an A. I absolutely loved this class and would take it again if I could!

Somehow he reminds me of Jeff Dunham... he's hilarious and is probably the most educated professor I've had. Go to class and pay attention- takes lots of notes and study a lot for the tests, he tells you what to study for, but know it, don't just cram, you'll fail it.

If you have any interest at all in PSYC, take this class, and take it from Dr. Fielding. He makes every topic interesting and each class fun. He will tell you exactly what will be on the tests, and if you show up to class, take notes, and listen to what he expects, you will do very well. Always ten minutes late, if he shows up at all. He's funny sometimes, seems knowledgeable, tests are pretty easy if you study. Everything's multiple choice. If I had to take it over though, I'd pick a different teacher.

Dr. Fielding was great. I took him during summer and it didn't even seem like it was a condensed course! No homework! All lecture!!! Tests were all multiple choice. 1 paper is required and it is simple. Very fair grader and plenty of extra credit. Easy A if you attend class and pay attention. He is a fantastic teacher and really cares.

The fist test is the worst (besides the final). Take notes during lecture, some of his exam questions are about his stories he tells during class. The project/paper/presentation is simple but time consuming to find proper sources. This teacher-student relationship is either hit or miss, depends on your learning style. He's a good teacher, IMO.

he is very detailed and if you take notes on his lecture AND study you should be fine with little to no text reading. and he doesnt seem to like to repeat himself if asked too often, so keep up!

Great course, incredibly interesting lectures. Lots of opportunity of extra credit. I wasn't a fan of Psych before but I love it now. If you have a choice of teachers take fielding. Well worth it. He is flexible and can work with you. You can retake missed exams. You wont regret taking this class. I looked forward to going.

Lecture is very interesting. He does speak fast & it can be hard to keep up with notes. I used a recorder so I could go back and fill in what I missed. Gives extra credit for perfect attendance,& grades tests on a curve. You do have to read & study if you do you will do fine. Also gives option for paper or presentation.

Very good professor but is almost never on time for first class of the day. He is easily distracted by "look at me" students and even a student that is not even taking his course. His lectures are interesting and even funny at times. Book is not completly nessisary if you attend every day and are good at taking notes.

If you take class notes daily, and study the notes (the textbook is just a supplement), you'll pass each test just fine. When you are taking a 7am class you kinda want your teacher to show up atleast most of the time. Mabey if I took him again I would take a class later in the day.

Love love love love this teacher but don't sign up for this class if you aren't prepared for it to be a challenge. It is definitely one of the hardest classes I have taken at clark and I have been here for almost two years now. The class is enjoyable but I have studied very hard for all tests and have gotten D's on all of them.

Kelly was an awesome teacher who really incorporated his tests into his lectures. He isn't some boring person, his lectures are interesting and easy to sit through. Along with the easiness of the class, he was also a very funny and genuine person. TAKE KELLY FOR PSYCH!!!

Leacture are great and easy to pay attention. He wants you to do well so he offers tons of extra credit. If you take good notes and know how to study well you will make great grades! The only issue is the tests can sometimes be difficult.

Nice guy, I would take him again. An interesting class. Gave the best curves (curves from highest scores), his tests are hard but his curve WILL save you. You do need a textbook because the test answers will usually be in the blue text and pictures (figures). Don't assume that the complete answers are in blue, you have to know the info in blue.

He has his own private clinical psychology practice and has a lot of stories he tells in class that are both amusing and related to the subject. He's very clear, and exams are easy if you take notes and pay attention to lectures. There's a final research project at the end of his Psych 101 class, but he's an easy grader. Interesting course. However, not my forte, being a math major and all. His exams are freaking hard, the only reason I have been getting high A's on them is because I choose to have no social life and flashcards are my life, so be prepared. However, he is a great lecturer and like other have said- his lectures follow the study guide very rigidly.

DR. FIELDING IS AMAZING! He is very helpful, very respectful even when you ask a 'stupid' question. He makes the class interesting, and takes his time to explain himself if someone is struggling. His classes are interactive and it doesn't have that I'm-a-professor-don't-bother-me attitude. It's like he's having a conversation with all his students!

I LOVED Kelly! Hands down the best teacher I've ever had. Many complain about his tests being too hard, but all you really need is to go over the information the night before the exam. His final is a compilation of previous tests (word for word) and he grades all tests on a curve (which put me at above 90 for every test). Final paper is easy.

Hands down my favorite class. Fielding is funny, understanding and all out the best professor. No homework except for the final project. If you try and at least read over your notes once before the test, you'll do fine. Plus he is the King of Extra credit so even if you bomb a test, you can make up for it with extra credit.

He keeps on topic pretty much all the time and has really interesting examples for almost every thing that he is talking about. He will help you if you ask for his help. He likes to make jokes and puns (even though sometimes they don't really make sense). You will have a project due for one of your finals and there are 4 things that you can choose.

I learned a lot from Dr. Feilding. He teaches without canvas and I see that as a plus actually. He covers everything he wants you to know I class and gives extra credit points for looking up definitions and reading the book ahead of lecture. He is genuine and knowledgeable. One major project and 5 tests plus a final. Take this class!

This was my daily 7am class, and I never regretted taking it. I looked forward to the hilariously awesome lectures everyday and I made sure I didn't miss a single one: his stories are literally the best things and he's great at explaining and answering questions. Plus there was a TON of extra credit. Take notes and study and you'll have no problem!

Funniest teacher I have ever had. TOOONS of extra credit. Only studied 1 hour before each test never got below a 90. There is always a curve on the test too. You show up, listen, and get an A. Only negative is a 5 page research paper that is due near the end.

Prof Fielding was a great professor! I took him for fall quarter, and his class was exceptionally interesting! I found his style of teaching entertaining, as well as informative through him.

Psychology is a difficult class, but he made it interesting with his funny lectures. He makes you responsible for your own work and it is good to sit up front and interact with him so you can soak in the material. He gives lots of extra credit, but his tests are hard, especially Exam 2.

Dr. Fielding made me, the WORST morning person ever, actually ENJOY waking up five days a week for an 8 AM class. Every day is a good day with the best teacher ever! The homework is nothing more than looking up answers from your book, but he calls you out in class for the answers (for extra credit which goes towards you test scores) so be prepared!

Amazing professor! He makes it enjoyable to come to class, even for a 7am class. He uses stories from his experience to help the class to understand the concepts and terms we are discussing. There are only about five exams total and one research paper for the class. All are fairly simple and easy to do.

K. Fielding made this course a wonderful learning experience. The lectures were presented very well, easy to follow and understand. The tests were major, make sure to take great lecture notes. Dr. Fielding is one of the most compassionate professors I have ever met. He understands willingness to work hard, and he is always ready to support you and help out. If tests are missed, you can take this during his office hours. All you have to do is ask! If you communicate with him he is there. Sit in the front, and tease the heck out of him!

Kelly Fielding is a great prof! He is very familiar with the material and just teaches from the study guide. He gives extra credit rather freely and curves the tests immensely. If you make sure you are familiar with the material on the study guide before each test (multiple choice) you should do great. This is a very easy class.

He was super funny, talked from years of experience, and gave very clear study guides. There were tons of opportunities for extra credit, the only way to not pass was to not show up. Even better: while he asked that you have a text book I never opened mine (which I inherited, didn't buy) cause his lectures were so thorough. don't bother with it.

I struggle with the ability to retain information even after studying for an hour to two hours a day. With that aside, I thoroughly enjoyed the lectures because he has an uplifting personality and is extremely knowledgeable about his field of study. I wish I would have asked for some assistance about my learning disability, he would have helped me.

There is no online access to his class and your grade is entirely based on test scores, mid term project, and extra credit. His tests stick to his study guides and is flexible with test retakes.

LOVE Kelly! He's so kind & gives incredible lectures. Was supposed to take another class but stumbled into his on accident & I am so happy I did. I love Psychology now! Just make sure to study for the tests, he gives study guides with everything on there, & 0 trick questions. Gives a TON of extra credit & stories of his work. Chill & funny dude!!!!

This is one of my favorite professors. Even though I felt lost during all his test, he still passed me. Hes real nice and allows you to have an easy pass !

He is an amazing professor. He inspire me to study psychology as my major. He gives study guides and if you study them you will do very good. I wish he teaches other classes because I will definitely take another class with him! Hands down the best professor.

Kelly is a great professor!! You NEED to purchase the book, he references it often, and asks extra credit questions at the beginning of class about topics from the book. Offers lot's of extra credit! Try not to skip class, sometimes there's stuff on the tests that aren't covered in the book. He's really funny and made the class interesting.

Amazing teacher with a caring heart and love for his students & work. He is easy going, funny, and makes lectures VERY interesting. Textbook is required, but not needed (take notes). Do come in to not miss notes. I didn't make it in for 2/3 of the classes & did okayish. He gives a study guide of what will be on the exams. Easily the best teacher!

Professor Fielding was the perfect professor for Psych 101. He made it clear what his expectations were and was available if you needed to ask questions. He obviously had a lot of experience with the topic as he is a practicing clinical psychologist, and he is great at explaining complicated concepts. Highly recommended!

Im really glad I took Kellys class. He told a lot of stories that coincided with the lesson and that was really helpful for me. He offered tons of opportunities for extra credit and options for final presentations/papers. He really knows what hes doing.

Hands down one of my fav teachers Kelly makes lectures interesting and fun, and makes you feel comfortable in the class. A pretty open structure and gives you a variety of choices for your main project (essay, work study, presentation etc.) though attendance isn't mandatory lectures aren't posted online so if you show up and do your work its great!

The class is all lecture/stories but he ties it all together extremely well. No assignments except for the project due at the end. He will have you look up questions almost daily but its easy and its for EC. One of the easiest and most laid back teachers. Tests reflect the study guide very much. Come to class and you should not get less than a B

Dr. Kelly Fieldings was hands down one of the best professors I've had the pleasure having. He's inspirational, funny and overall a good man. I really enjoyed his lectures. He gives extra credit too. Psych came easy to me so I didn't study much so it was an easy A for me.

Dr. Fielding is an amazing professor. As a former graduate student in another discipline, I have no doubt he would be outstanding at any educational level, and at any institution. He's funny, entertaining, jovial, and extremely knowledgeable. He makes class an absolute joy and he does it while truly being educational as well.

Fielding is hands down my favorite professor. His lectures are super fun and he tells personal experiences to help relate to topics. He gives A TON, like a ton of extra credit. Tests are basically the study guide and pretty easy. Only complaint is that he doesn't post grades on canvas so it's hard to know what grade you have. But 10/10 recommend

Professor Fielding is one of my favorite teachers Ive ever had. He gives you a very clear and organized study guide and teaches exactly what you need to know for all the tests. He is very funny and makes his lectures interesting to listen to and easy to participate in. He also gives lots of extra credit opportunities. I would recommend him.

Hes a very good teacher! Though it isnt an easy A, he makes it fun to learn with several stories to help you remember things for the test. I would definitely take him again if I could!

The best professor you could wish for, tons of extra credit( up to 20% of your grade). His lectures are funny and keep your attention the entire time, exams are not very hard as long as you pay attention. He wants you to success in his class and it shows. 10/10 Fielding ROCKS!!

He is a really good professor. He is funny and nice, and he explains things well and has a lot of extra credit chances. As long as you review before the class and pay attention in his class, the exam won't be hard.

Fielding is honestly the best proffesor I've had. I would've struggles in psycology, but he made coming to class enjoyable. You don't have to show up to class every day, but he makes you want to. He also gives alot of extra credit. Would definately reccomend.

He was great. Considering the changes made because of the virus, this was meant to be an in person class but he made online lectures great and easy to follow. Not a difficult class, just dont fall behind. There are Weekly discussion posts, a writing assignment and a quiz. One final writing project, he cancelled the exam. Highly recommend.

Literally the BEST professor at Clark. There is so many opportunities for extra credit at the end of the term. He gave us lots of extensions if he saw us falling behind and even cancelled our final exam because of COVID difficulty. Nicest man ever and he shows his dog during lecture videos too. I would recommend him to anyone! Loved his class.

Dr. Fielding was a very fun professor. Given the circumstances of this year, he was very understanding and canceled our final exam, substituting it with the research paper. Lots of opportunities to earn extra credit. The only problem for me was that I would send an email and he would kinda just gave a yes or no answer.

Great teacher, made class interesting and was caring to the class's needs due to covid. Spiders were weird though.

This was one of my first terms at Clark and wow!! Dr. Fielding was awesome, I am sad this term is over. His classes are always awesome, great lectures filled with great information and he is really funny. He assigns each week a one-page paper, a discussion, and a 20 question quiz. There is a 8pg research paper and quiz final too, but not difficult!

Dr. Fielding's class became one of my favorites during the term. If you get the spider thing, he is a really sweet person and an awesome teacher. Many options for extra credit which are as easy as watching a movie and almost guarantee a good grade. The textbook is a useful resource but lectures were thorough enough that I never needed it. Take him!

He was a really great professor if you are just looking for credits. Every week you have a quiz, writing assignment, and discussion. Then at the end you have a research paper. He did say at the beginning we would have a final but he canceled ours. He gives you online lectures which are very long but interesting.

Personally, loved his class. Would give a 5.0 if I thought that would be true for everyone. Feilding is a smart guy who clearly knows his stuff, but he DOES NOT GRADE. Finals week will come and he'll just give you an A on the discussions and the final paper. I doubt he reads them. Lectures are interesting. Quiz answers in textbook.

Dr. Fielding is probably the best prof I've ever had. His lectures were fascinating, and if you take good notes, they're enough to get by in the chapter quizzes and writing assignments. All and all, I found his class to be very enjoyable, memorable, and educational. The spiders were a nice touch too. I took his class in fall quarter 2021.

psychology 100 at Clark college. He is my favorite teacher/ class at Clark college. TAKE THIS CLASS!! i would take him again for any class again. He is lenient/understands late assignments, easy grader. I learn a lot in this class, be prepared to take notes and you will do amazing in this class. Easy A. Cares for alll his students.

Dr. Fielding is awesome. Responds to messages through canvas super quick. Lenient grader, clear expectations about the course, easy to follow lectures. Highly recommend! Easy class. The "worst" part was the canvas discussion boards for every chapter. But who actually likes those? If you want an easy A for minimal effort, take this course.

Great professor, he always kept his lectures interesting and engaging for his students. He also was not uptight, he moved around the room while he lectured, leaned back on his work table, and even brought his dog a few times! This is one of the few classes I have taken where I actually remember the topics we studied, would highly recommend.

This is my favorite professor ever! He is hilarious and makes the class fun and engaging. The negative reviews are about his online lectures, which are pretty boring. Dr. Fielding is consistently late to class and has missed classes, but only for valid reasons and with warning. Lots of extra credit. The final was a knowledge bowl!

Yes, the hype is justified. Dr. Fielding is the most charismatic and funny lecturer at this school, and I can say that without having met every professor simply because I cannot imagine someone better. His class is engaging, his grading is very easy, and you can really tell how much he cares about this field. The best class I have taken hands down.

Awesome professor!! The only thing that I wished to be different was that he waited until near the end of the term to grade assignments, which made me anxious occasionally. He is a very easy grader though.

His classes were enjoyable and informative. Not too much work, a good balance. Midterm and final were easy, majority of points come from assignments and extra credit. He tends to be late to class but count on it. He grades majority of the work towards the end of the term. But definitely recommend. One of the best professors on campus.

It's a bit of a hard start, but once you get his grading style, you'll do fine. He gives 3 different assignments/week, all of them can get done in a pretty good amount of time but I'd recommend breaking it up. Make sure you pay attention to lectures. He gives extra credit and will give an extension if asked. Overall, he's amazing!

There's really not much I can say that others haven't said. He hasn't graded the majority of the coursework as of week nine, but he's a really good prof. Most of the lectures are available online, so you don't need to attend every single lesson. There's a lot of reading, but I learned a lot. He's very laidback, and he brought his dog into class

Dr. Fielding is by far one of the funniest and best professors at Clark. His lectures are incredibly entertaining and informative and the work load is light, though get ready to take notes!! He brings his dog into class aswell which is always nice. Overall I was very happy taking PSYC&100 with him and would do it again!

Dr. Fielding is amazing! His teaching is engaging and he is flexible with late work. There are three weekly assignments: a paper, discussion, and quiz with multiple tries. There's a midterm, a final that's an in-class competition related to chapters read in the textbook, and a 5-8 page research paper. Easy to get an A if you do all the work.

I highly recommend professor Kelly, I enjoyed this class with him since it was fun, and he is very easy going with students by providing both online and in person lectures which facilitates learning. Additionally, he isn't strict at all by dealing with his students, has flexibility with extending assignments due dates, and is very professional.

Dr. Fielding's PSYC100 class is a blast! Engaging lectures, flexible deadlines, and helpful grading. The workload is light, but don't slack off - unstuckstudy is great for staying on top of things.

He is one of the best professors I have had of all time. He teaches really well and uses stories to emphasize points. I wish he taught more classes.

Dr. Fielding's class is fairly entertaining and he has plenty of stories to go along with the martial he is teaching. He usually assigns three assignments a week which is usually a writing assignment, a discussion post (with replies to peers), and a quiz (all fairly easy.) I would definitely recommend his class for someone interested in psych.

Dr. F is an amazing professor. He is very knowledgeable and adds a lot of character to his lectures. The homework required is not hard if you are paying attention in class and taking good notes. He is approachable if you need more clarity. His class was a pleasure to take, I would sign up for him for another class if he offered it.

Professor F was a great professor. He offered extra credit at the end of the course. Only complaint is there is not late work policy so you cant redo anything. He had stories to go along with his lectures and always came to class in a good mood. only two in person exams and didn't provide a good study guide, so take notes!

I had Dr. Fielding last year over the summer. I wish there were other classes I could take with him. I still think about the guy now and then. He is a natural at teaching, never boring, his funny anecdotes have a way of making the material make sense. Show up to class and you'll learn so much!
