This teacher is a great teacher. She has passion for the subject and is very helpful when you don't understand or fall behind. I highly recommend her, although she does give alot of writing assignments she gives you alot of time to do it in.

Fantastic professor. Very interesting reading assignments. She is very clear in what she expects from her students. Whatever you put into her class, you receive in your grade. She is very fair, helpful and pleasant. A+

Prof Keane is the best prof!!! I took her for an on-line course, and her helpfullness made me feel as if she was at home with me. She really loves her job and student, and it shows!! I think she should give a lecture to other professors on how to be a good professor!!!

Kelly, is a fine teacher who knows how to involve her class. This is especially refreshing as I am learning from her in an online environment.

Extremely helpful. You just have to keep up with participation & the work but gives plenty of time to do it.

The best teacher to take if u want to learn something. she works her students hard but in the long run it's worth it.

Prof. Keane is a very nice teacher. She was very helpful. If you will have her for English don't worry just always get to class ON TIME and don't be absent A LOT..she doesn't like it when students are always late or absent. Also particiate in class cuz she gets everyone to participate.

Great professor...keep up with assignments and you will do fine. You have to write a lot but its english. She grades pretty hard but it is for your good. She is fair and will do her best to help you pass. She give plenty of time to complete assignments. This was the best online professor I had.

I think that Ms. Keane is a very good teacher. I think that she pours on the work, but she definitely has her students' best interest in mind and wants you to learn. She's very fair. You get the grade you deserve, according to the amount of work you put in.

great teacher. very helpful. she reminds me alot of some of my old teachers in h.s. but not a bad thing. assignments aretijme consuming but she gives u a decent amount of time to get it right. her comments helped alot when she marks ur papers. if anyone has to take EBS classes she is a great teacher to take it with.

Great teacher in every aspect! hands down

The class felt like a high school class. No cell phone and no talking .There is a lot of work involved; essays and little homework assignments. EXPECT WORK OVER THE WEEKEND AND EVERYDAY. She is a good teacher but her grading system is very weird. She writes A on your paper and considers it a 90, there are no half grades for ex. 85 is never seen

i hate doing work.. but in her class there is alot of work, but shes very helpful and it does make you a better writer which helps you in other classes for papers, ect.. shes very nice, very helpful. i took her in EBS, WRT 101, WRT 201... if they had WRT 301.. id take her again!

Really cool teacher, a smart and amazing women. Not only is she a great teacher but she is and admiring and intelligent women. Shes a must take and is very helpful. Helps you with any problems you have.

She does give a lot of work, however its not that hard. Also watch out for the "KK" that means you either doing something wrong or she is very disappointed on everyone.

mrs keane has so far been the BEST english teacher ive ever had.. she gives alot of work but helps u understand and makes sure u understand exactly what she wants you to do and also makes u do many drafts when papers are due so that when u hand it in you hand in the best one.. do consider having her as a professor =]]

I think Professor Keane is officially the best English teacher I've ever had. She helps you critically with your writing by doing multiple drafts of one particular assignment. It was a pain in the neck but very helpful. I enjoyed her class and I will take her again for WRT101

Professor Keane has the best heart and caring on her own students. In fact, she built the innovative overall to come with the unique strategies to bring up student critical writing and writing skills in devloping well written essay by making connection between the reading and your own writing. I got at least a C even though it was the best grade.

Professor Keane is an A M A Z I N G teacher! She cares a lot for her students and does her best to help you every step of the way! If you aren't much of a writer and you take her class, you will walk out of that class with more confidence than you had before and you'll know what you're doing when you write from that point on!

She was the best English professor I know. She is willing to help you tons with writing your essays. She always assigns drafts before handing in final copy so you can get a better grade. My writing definitely developed a lot in her class. I dreaded research papers, but she helped out so much that it was a piece of cake. I highly recommend her!

Professor Keane is an excellent teacher. I had her for the summer session that just past and she spent a lot of time with us despite the fact that the program was only six weeks. She's really in to class discussions, and she's always willing to go over your rough draft so you know exactly what she wants. You'll be fine as long as you go to class.

Professor Keane, is a great woman. She is very helpful in many ways. She gives a lot of work but if you get it done on time there should be no problem. She is always happy and smiling and that's what makes the class more inviting. I suggest you take her !

Professor Keane is an amazing lady! For an 8am class, she was always so warm and welcoming. Clearly explains every assignment and what she expects. Uses grading system to keep students up to date. Attendance is mandatory. Hated writing papers but she made it easy. Take her class! Extremely helpful

She was pretty tough but that's how a college writing professor is supposed to be. She's aii with teaching but if you have a problem with anything, you can meet her in her office hours that she reminds everyone of every week. She gives out her grading rubric so you can grade your own work. She gives extra credit sometimes. And she's always on time.

Professor Keane works very hard for her students and gives feedback on all of the assignments that are handed in. She is very kind and helpful, responds very quickly to emails. There are essays, a midterm, a final research project, only one or two tests. She is very organized, and makes it clear when work is due. Overall your writing will improve!

Professor Keane is one of my favorite Professors at Bergen she is super helpful. I took her twice and my writing has improved so much because of her. She assigns a lot of work and long papers but is a fairly easy grader. She gives a lot of extra credit and her tests are very easy if you show up to class and pay attention.

GET ON HER GOOD SIDE: means attendance, respect, attentiveness, etc. She will cooperate as long as you cooperate. She's a great professor, and will give her best effort in getting through your semester. She's an easy grader and just do your work.

This professor was awesome, shes so kind and caring for her students and truly tries to help them as much as she can. The work load is pretty typical for college, you'll spend some time writing essays, but shes really nice, and shes VEGAN, BEST PROFESSOR.

She definitely makes you work hard for your grade. One of the best things about her? Feedback! My writing has improved so much because of her. Also, she gives extra credit assignments for whoever isn't happy with their average. Participate & be very analytical when it comes to lit. responses/essays. The most engrossing books/reading materials!

She is always there to help and give great feedback! She does assign papers mostly every week but they aren't difficult to do. You can tell she just wants her students to use their full potential. I left her class with receiving an A. by the end of your semester you will even see how great your writing has improved!

She was one of the best professors I had last semester. She really cares about her students and tries to help the best she can. She does give a lot of work but it really helped me improve my skills. If you do all the essays you'll be fine. Overall, I would love to take another class with her again.

She's a good professor. All the papers were on current events, so if that's not your thing, maybe don't take her for 101. She uses the Moodle gradebook so you'll always know your current grade, which is beyond helpful. She's approachable, so take advantage of her office hours to go through your essays and you'll do fine. Comfortable experience.

Personally I have never been into english/writing but prof Keane truly changed the way I look at the subject. She is so willing to help and does what she can to see you succeed. If I could take her 100 times more I would. You do have to work for your grade, so keep that in mind!

I liked her ,but, get ready to write .ALOT. It can get overwhelming at times especially when your taking other classes. Basically,you get to class and she starts you on a current topic , hw ,then a few days later you have to write a 3-5 page essay. In total theres 3 essays and one 5-6 page research paper. If you like a fast pace class ,take her.

Best professor in my opinion. She helped me develop my writing on levels I never thought possible. You have to work for your grade but she is there to help you succeed.

Professor keane is a great lecturer, warm and friendly approach at all times. Well organized for her classes. Attendance and punctuality is important. She is caring, communicates with students, respond to emails and gives good feedback on time. A lot of grade pieces are given which must be submitted on time. She pushes students to do their best.

Professor Keane was one of the best writing professors I've ever had. She cared enough to discover/acknowledge my love for writing, and challenged me throughout the whole semester to become an even greater writer. Very caring and involved! Her class is difficult if your writing needs some work. Easy A if you know how to get your points across. She's always there if you need help with anything. Total of 5 essays by the end of the semesters, most of them with drafts. We read about three books total

The best professor in Bergen Community College. Took her class for Eng 101 and absolutely loved it. She gives so much work, but it pays off in the future. It was a definitely a wake up call if you are coming from an EBS course, but she will significantly improve your writing. I love her teaching style! She really cares about your work. Great!!!

Love this teacher. She's the first college professor I've had so I tried my hardest on the first essay. It was the best essay I had ever written so I was a little upset with the B+ I got. However, she gave feedback on exactly how I can improve, and with each subsequent essay, I felt like that was the best. I got an A+ on the last two essays.

Such a great professor! Very straight-forward method of teaching, nothing too hard. She really cares about her students and it shows, she's always answering emails and prioritizing to help you. 3 papers, 1 research project. The essay topics are very interesting, and thought provoking, making it so much better. If you have the chance, take her!

prof. kelly is a great prof she will literally go out of her way to help you if you ask. shes clear and you will pass her class by doing the work which is not hard

Professor Keane was the most caring professor I've had at Bergen. She goes out of her way to email you if you miss class and informs you of all the work you missed. There's no readings, just 4 essays. Smooth sailing writing class and gives a perfect time frame for any work given! If you're not the best writer, she'll get you there.

She is really easy going and willing to answer any and every question you have. Gives you one late pass and all you have to do is put in a little bit of effort to pass.

I honestly enjoyed meeting this professor once a week during the Spring 2020 semester. The work took some time to get done, but I used the tutoring center and had a fantastic tutor who helped me out with my essays, it was nice to have that flexibility recommend for an entry-level English course.

Keane is a wonderful professor that gives genuine feedback and wants you to pass. Somehow i think half of my class failed but if that was the case i promise it is because they were lazy and expected an easy A. she gives "a lot" of work to do but gives you PLENTY of time to complete them. if you're lazy and lack self discipline, this isn't for you.

Dr. Keane has been one of the best professors I have encountered at Bergen Comunity College. She cares about each and every one of her students and makes sure you don't fall behind on your work. She's always available for extra help and is willing to come in earlier and stay late for students. You won't regret taking her class!!!

She is a really good teacher. She puts in great effort to help you improve your writing skills, and she knows her stuff. I like her, and respect her, BUT she is definitely a tough grader. This is definitely not an easy A. I did get an A, but I worked my *** off to get that grade in that semester, even harder than my sciences courses.

Professor Keane is amazing. Super organized on Canvas, responds to emails ASAP, & always available to meet outside of class. Brings current topics into assignments. We did 2 big essays, one on AI & one on Poverty. Clear rubric for each assignment. Only thing is she takes of big points if you are absent so make sure to be there and be on time!

Great prof, def cares about her students. Clear and concise to work with as well. ENG 101 was based off 3 papers spread thru. semester, with a midterm and final based off readings done prior. She utilizes open source readings as well vs. other ENG profs, so no textbooks needed. 10/10 prof. genuine gem @ Bergen

One of my favorite professors I've taken at BCC! Discussion based class with 3 essays and journals. Lots of required reading but content is enjoyable. Gives great feedback. The knowledge I've learned in this class will stick with me and I'm very happy to have taken it with her. Pay attention to deadlines and start essays early and you'll be fine :)

Great prof for writing, shes very good at giving feedback and is very caring. Her lectures are quite good too, and the course work never felt hard to grasp when she explained it. Her canvas is one of the best I've seen too, which is well appreciated

The lectures are very organized and easy to follow. The professor knows how to teach the course very well. She provides good feedback and gives you a good amount of freedom in what your essays are about. Her canvas is very neat as well, which is nice. If you need extra help, she openly suggests coming to office hours. Overall, great class.
