She is wonderful and works with you. I had to drop one semester due to personal issues, and made sure I picked her the following semester. She didn't teach 1302 the next semester, so I waited an extra semester just to make sure I could pick her again.

she's young but she's very approachable and very willing to help you out if you are going through some rough times! she does a great job of outlining what she wants, so there is little confusion, and she helps a lot when it comes to fixing your papers up

she'll help you in any way she can. great teacher! gives out tons of homework but it isnt that hard to do. i think i'm goin to get an A in this class

She's so easy. Her papers are simple and go to the writing center for extra credit, if you need any! Flirt or talk with her and she'll help you out. She is so cute.

she's a cool teacher gives a crapload of work but u know what u r doing so its not hard.u have to write a 2 page paper every class day and that is pretty much it, no tests or quiz.u dont work in class either just chill.she's very organized and can get in touch with her via e-mail anytime. also she is very hot.hard to concentrate with that ass! lol

Her apperance will first strike you as you think she is possibly a student and not the teacher. She is young, attractive, and the class work is not over bearing at all.

Oh my gosh, by far my favorite class. She is awesome and is really interested in your ideas. She pretty much just tells you what you need to do and lets you chill in class. A lot of little assignments, but are very easy.

Makes you think on a college level. Introduces know ideas. She lets you express yourself but at the same time teaches you how to write a quality paper. She gives a lot of little assignments to do, if you get behind you are screwed. But each take about 30min-hour so if you just do your assignments you will do fine.

she keeps you interested. although i HATE the fact that the class is in a computer lab. but still- so far no grades. only major grades. which i like. no homework. (asside from projects)

I took 1301 and 1302 with her. Really nice teacher. Very young so she can understand us better, but if you are planning on getting an easy A, she is not the wright teacher for you. It takes a lot of work, researches, reading and writing. But she'll help you! She cares about your best interests. A lot of work involves computer. Highly reccomend her!

She is AWESOME! I have taken her for 1301 & 1302 and honestly wouldn't take any other English teacher. You have many papers (as with any English class) but she is very good and very nice and the weekly discussions are very manageable. I would retake her class in a heartbeat...

She is great teacher but her class is hard. Each essay is minimum 5 pages in length. You have to attend to class for quizzes, and post opinions to nicenet. Overall, if you wanna get an A, go to class, work hard on essay, I tell you it is not an easy A in her class.

Good class and an excellent teacher. She is very helpful, and she has the students success in mind. If you don't like writing a lot of papers, go somewhere else. However, she seems to be fair in her grading, and she shows a true interest in what you write. If I had to take another English class, she would be my first choice for an instructor.

Again, this is a great teacher. If you want to learn about American Literature and improve your critical thinking skills, you should take her class. There is a lot of reading, but you gain so much.

Very good teacher. She gets an attitude really fast but then changes like 2 minutes later. She's really easy and understands everything you are going through and takes it easy on grading. GREAT teacher, just quick to get an attitude!!

I had Ms. Martin for 1301 last Spring, and enjoyed it very much. She is really easy going, friendly and helpful. Well, I just completed 1302, from a different professor, and I passed it with an easy A, BECAUSE PROFESSOR MARTIN PREPARED ME SO WELL FOR MY NEXT COURSE. I was surprised at all the stuff I knew that others did not. Take Her Class!

Doesn't really care about grammar, just about content. Like 10 easy reading quizzes and a few essays that aren't too difficult. Pretty lenient grader. I would take her class again if I had to.

Oh my goodness gracious! What an AMAZING teacher!! I have had many teachers at CCCC and she is definitely the BEST!! She is very gracious and does her best to make sure you are doing well in the class. She is also very clear about what you need to do to make good grades. If you just follow her directions you will make an easy A+

I took this in the summer session. It was a lot of work, a paper due pretty much once a week, but I enjoyed the reading material.

Professor Martin is the best! Her classes are not too challenging, but just enough to keep you on your toes. I took her for English 1 and World Lit, but if I had a time machine. I would have taken English 2 with her too. :) Highly Recommended

Her papers were very different than other papers I have written in previous English classes. They definitely made you think but there was a lot of work. The early material was so boring but it got better as the semester went on. She grades fairly, though.

She doesnt use textbooks, its all on blackboard. Very easy class, i would have made a B+ but i got spring fever.lol theres only like 4 easys. you would be dumb not to take her.

Don't be discouraged by her EXTREMELY detailed assignment instructions. Although assignments sound difficult, follow the instructions exactly and you will make an A. I took the class online and only read one of the stories from the book. Sparknotes is an awesome resourse! Oh, and learn the difference between a theme and motif, she's that picky!

Great teacher. She loves what she teaches and makes english fun. No textbook or novels! :) Class didnt seem like an english class but a discussion class (not like high school- you don't have to talk if you don't want to) There are 3 essays and online homework assignments.

This teacher is not only ridiculously hot, but definitely the sweetest teacher I had while at CCCC. My friend and I loved her class, and the assignments were not bad. I was pretty much a slacker and easily made a good grade, mostly because she liked me. I missed a lot of class but I would definitely recommend this teacher. Too bad she's married :p

You would be lucky to have her as a professor. She is smart and her method of teaching is incredible. You do have to work hard to earn your grade, but it is well worth it.

Professor Martin is an amazing teacher that makes you grow once you're out of the class. This is not a easy class! Readings could be tedious and is due on the next class meeting. She is one tough grader but it would only benefit me in the future. I recommend taking her and fully utilize the writing center. Especially the online one for convinience!

Took her hybrid class, where you only actually show up to class once or twice a month. Everything else is done online. The programs you use online to submit your work are user friendly and actually useful. Teacher is very nice, understanding, and willing to work with you. Assignments at first may seem intimidating but they're not bad! Highly recomd

I took an online class. All assignments and due dates are available from the first day. A lot of writing, and she pushes critical thinking. Any criticism on work is constructive so you can do better on future assignments. She tries hard to get her students to succeed.

The truth is she's an excellent teacher who loves what she teaches but she expects her students to work hard. She wants them to be critical thinkers & be able to relate the material to the real world as any good professor does. If you want to be challenged and grow as a writer/critical thinker take this class!

I took her for an express class and I thought the work load was reasonable but it does seem hard at first. All of the work is deep thinking. You need to be able to interpret what you read, think critically, and write about your thoughts. I made an A but I love writing and reading.

Took an online summer course. She's really nice and helpful - very responsive. Motivates well. Taking this online seemed scary at first because I hated writing and was never much good at it. But somehow seeing everybody's replies in the discussion board brought out my competitive side and I actually ended up doing really well (96%)! I even had fun!

She is absolutely the best English professor I have ever had. She was very helpful for me. I was always a terrible English student, and she explained it in a way that made sense. The text book she uses is amazing and I will not be selling it back because it will help in other courses. Great professor, I highly recommend her!!! TAKE HER!

Ms. Martin is VERY hard grader, but she will help you with your essays if you meet with her during her office times. She offers exra credit too. Got an A, but I had to put alot of time into the work.

I'm sure she is nice, but I think she should understand that she teaches a pointless subject. She has a ridiculous workload of easy busywork. It is an easy A, but I will never get the time I wasted back. Its a pointless class that I needed for a lit credit for nursing school. There is nothing "scholarly" about it. She needs to get over herself.

Great english teacher who really knows her stuff, though she may go off on tangents and tell stories that don't really relate it doesn't matter, she's great and really funny. Only two papers, nothing else to work on except turnitin discussions and minor book work. Easy grader if you do what she asks.

Dr. Martin was helpful and very knowledgeable. This class was nonstop homework and reading from day one, sometimes overwhelming. The good thing is, on the first day of class you are given all your assignments,labs, etc. You can work ahead. If you miss a deadline its not because you didn't know it was coming.

She was great at first. But when it came to finals I turned mine in and she never graded mine, when I checked my scores she didn't give me a grade for this I emailed her asking and she never replied so I was stuck with a lower grade just Bc she didn't grade my final.

She is always available to help and quickly responds to my e-mails. Has a great sense of humor to keep class interesting. Good professor. She will make you work for that A, though.

Professor Martin was my favorite teacher last semester. She is funny, understanding, and knows how to motivate the class. Every class we were introduced to something interesting. I would strongly recommend her to anyone in needof taking a composition class.

I took Dr. Martin's English 1301 class online. It was my first college course in 14 years and after reading her syllabus, I nearly dropped her. BUT I AM SO GLAD I DIDN'T! She requires you to work for your A but will give it you if you apply yourself. I wish she was teaching 1302 I would take her for sure! She made me a much better writer I got an A

A LOT of work. The work in the beginning of the class is easy; she piles most of the big assignments toward the end. She is an incredibly fair grader. Do the work and you'll get an A.

If you stay on top of your assignments and pay attention to due date (and what the grading criteria is), you'll be fine! You're really on your own, so make sure you don't just blow assignments off. When doing discussions, give thoughtful feedback and take your time to give a good response.

I've never had this amount of writing at this speed (already taken Uni senior writing class). Expect constant homework (discussion assigns 2-3x/week) which take several hours each to do right. Then there's labs that you have to find weekly time for b/c they're due half way into semester. She's responsive&helpful, but timeline is really too tight!

I took Professor Martin's class online and made an A+ in her class. There are weekly discussion topics that you must read/watch and answer thoughtfully. Also, there is one major paper due that you must revise one time for the major grades. There is no extra credit offered but it shouldn't be hard to pass if you follow the syllabus.

She's a great professor,if you do the work you are sure to pass. She's very prompt on addressing any question or emails. I haven't been to school in 20 years and she made it very easy to understand

Took her Online American Literature express course. I needed to take this class as an upper level English elective and I'm so glad I did. You need to buy the tophat portal for the "textbook" but all the info in there is organized, short and to the point. 7 discussion posts, 5 issues questions, and a Final essay. Plus extra credit!!

I took her American Literature course online and I do not regret it. Easy A if you do all your work. The work isn't hard, just tedious. Her class is about thinking deeply into the works you read. Easy extra credit and an easy grader. She wants her students to actually think about the works they read and learn something. I would take her again.

This class requires a lot of reading. The teacher can be a tough grader but she gives a lot of good feedback in order to improve your responses. I went from getting B's on my issues questions, to receiving "A's." It just requires a little effort. The essays are not horrible. The final can be time consuming. Take advantage of extra credit.

I found Professor Martin's class challenging. She grades hard, but fair. I started off rough, but with her guidance, I managed to bring up my grade and maintain it throughout the rest of the course. She is slow to grade. I took her online express class and don't regret it. You have to put the work in but its fairly reasonable. Requires you to purchase "TopHat" so don't buy the book. Would take her again. Take advantage of the extra credit.

Dr. Martin is very kind and responds to emails. She provides many videos and other resources to help you understand certain concepts. You are required to write many essays, but you can always email her if youre confused about the rubric. Also, she is not a tough grader at all; as long as you write the essay to meet the criteria and word count.
