She makes sociology very interesting and fun. I've enjoyed her class so much that i have now declared my major as applied sociology!

Very good teacher. Used great examples and kept things interesting. Lectures and movies were very informative. I would recommend ANYONE to this class - she is AMAZING!!!! :)

Loved this class - she tells you exactly what you need to know and almost always lets class out early. I barely used my textbook - most of the tests were from notes. She also shows a few films that are fairly interesting, those sometimes pop up on the test.

She's a total doll, very sweet and a fun personality. I took her for Intro to Sociology. It's not something I was really interested in, but she made it fun. I highly recommend her. She gives a review for each exam and open book/notes quizzes. I'd say it's an easy A or B for her class, but only if you go and participate in discussion.

She was great! I actually liked going to class everyday. Sociology is my major, and I believe she covered the material well. Not a class goes by that we don't burst out in laughter from something she says. Great personality, and she incorporates personal stories that are relevant to the topic at hand. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

She was wonderful! Always very on-point and willing to help students succeed. She was funny, brilliant, and made the class very enjoyable because of such. Because of this course, I changed my major to Sociology. I would DEFINITELY recommend / take her again if I was still a student at Texas State.

She's a nice lady and her chili is pretty good. This class was VERY EASY as long as you do the online quizzes and show up. There's definitely a lot of "liberal propaganda" and biased statistics, but I'm sure you get that in any intro to sociology class. Her TA is really hot also.

I TOOK THIS CLASS ONLINE AND IT IS PRETTY SIMPLE. JUST DO THE WORK AND READ THE BOOK. I PURCHASED THE EBOOK AND IT WAS LIKE $65. NOT BAD.

Easiest class ever Just 3 regular exams, then final. Tells you what is on each test and what to study. Just study class notes. Power-points are on TRACS if you miss class. Do online assignments because they are worth a good portion of your grade. Very nice and funny, easily relates to students.

The best teacher I've had at Texas State! Take her, you won't regret it. Easy A and tons of extra credit! Do the homework assignments; two lowest ones get dropped if you forget to do it. Attendance is mandatory but she allows you to miss 2 classes w/o penalty. She is very funny and makes the class interesting! Awesome class, awesome teacher!

This class is not hard if you try. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had. If you don't know something don't be afraid to ask. She is also very funny which helps the time go by fast.

Her course is very easy for sure. Multiple homework assignments (that you can search for the answers in the textbook word-for word) but she gives reviews and tests are easy. You are required to get an e-book along with the homework. Definitely recommend her. Easy A and very interestingfun!

Ms. Mosel does a great job keeping the class intrigued. She definitely is entertaining and can easily help you learn. Her class is very easy and if you show up and study a couple hours for her test, you'll make an A easily.

She is super understanding and does what she can to help you pass her class. She is also super funny. Don't buy the actual textbook, just get the online copy. All her homework is online as quizzes but it is very easy and an easy way to get a good grade.

She lets you out of class early. Weekly online quiz, which wasn't my favorite. Test are easy, just do the reviews. Also, loves to show movies regarding the current topics we are learning in class. Students love her. Extra credit opportunity is given towards the end of the semester.

She's hilarious. Class is very laid back. Leave early almost every time. If you show up and listen you can get an A. Plus the extra credit is easy and helps. She cracks me up and seems like a mom that smokes weed.

If you can please take her! Amazing professor very funny makes the topics interesting and relatable. We got out of class 20+ minutes early every time. Must buy the online textbook to do the homework. Mandatory attendance but you will enjoy this class.

I loved this class!! She made the class super interesting and always had fun activities to do in class. She rarely gave us homework and the test were super easy! The lectures are short and we were always done about 30 minutes early. If i could take this class again i would!! She does count off for attendance but if you show up you WILL pass.

Mrs. Mosel loves her job and it clearly shows. She wants you to get the highest grade that you can if you give it the effort. Expect online homework and tests that get to the point and more then possible to pass.

There are no negative things to say about Ms. Mosel- Talavera. She knows how to teach a class of different students. Her tests are not tricky. The material she goes over in class (powerpoints), movies, very few readings, and some book material (but you don't really need the book) are on the exams. Go to class b/c she uses it to bump your grade.

I loved this Professor, she was probably my favorite this semester. She stayed on point with her lectures, they were clear and to the point and she has a great sense of humor. She usually let class out early, which was nice. She does make her class do weekly online homework, but it was easy.

This has been my favorite class of all time. She is absolutely hilarious and makes her lectures very entertaining and enjoyable. The online homework is very easy and her tests are straight from the notes, yet we still learn a lot. I look forward to coming to her class every time. Take her and you won't regret it!

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I wish I could retake the class. Mosel was an amazing lecturer, powerpoint notes are provided on TRACS so you can print out and have ready for class. For every exam, she gives study guides and she drops the lowest test grade including your final. Assignments on mindtap are easy and end of year project was an easy A as well.

TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!! This was probably my favorite class I've taken in college so far, professor Mosel is hilarious and makes class fun to go to. Tests aren't too challenging and she puts all her notes online. 10/10, would recommend this class.

Always got out of class early. She's hilarious and really cares about her students. I only made a B because I didn't study as much or anything and focused on other classes but this is an easy A. She gave extra credit paper and the tests are pretty simple. I recommend this professor.

Ms. Mosel is very funny. She makes the class very interesting. Go to class because there are questions on the tests about in-class discussions. I did not go to class that often but still got a B. Easy A if you go to class though. She offers extra credit at the end of the semester so that's a plus. You also get extra credit for going to class.

Professor Mosel had an AMAZING Syllabus structure. 1 Forum and 1 page gender excercise per week. These were fun to participate in, which made learning that much easier. The syllabus describes exactly what to do each week and the dates they were due so I didn't feel lost of behind. There is enough work to learn, but not TOO much work to panic/stress

Really easy online class, no proctored exams. Same stuff is due every week. My only complaint is that she's extremely nit picky about grammar/commas and takes off too many points for this. I've never has a college professor take off points for commas until this class. Felt like elementary school English.

Mosel wasn't a horrible professor and a solid choice for sure but get ready to work for your grade. Her tests are concept test so TIP: know your stuff and how to identify it in said situations. The class was nice, assigned seats. Her TA only came once a week instead of twice which i found confusing. Overall good class and she loves what she does.

I personally didn't study like I should have and was making 70's on the tests, so definitely study and this class will be a breeze. Loved going to class and always got out 30 minutes early. Would take this class again to get a better grade.

Mrs. Mosel seems to know and truly care about what she's talking about. She wants everyone in her class to succeed. Her tests aren't difficult at all as long as you come prepared (she provides a study guide for each exam). She always finds a way to make you laugh. Homework is due every week, but it's not that difficult or time consuming.

Easy class. Do the assignments, dont really need to read the textbook. Theres a research paper and photo essay which are easy. Sociology is a very interesting subject and you will learn a lot if you put forth the effort. Please take. Dont let the midterm and final scare you they are easy.

Two tests total, neither were comprehensive, but were multiple choice and short answer. There were forums every week and 1-2 page papers due every other week or so. It was easy and manageable. & a media assignment was due, it was kinda hard but doable. Overall, I really enjoyed the class. I actually learned and got a good grade! Highly recommend

I took her hybrid class monday, wednesday, friday and we only met for 50 minutes on wednesday's! I got a 97 in the class. She is such a great professor and hilarious, I wish I took her in person class. There is an online book with online homework that is due every week. For the hybrid class the tests are online and the final is in person. TAKE HER!

Sweetest professor ever. She posts lecture videos and communicates with her students frequently to make sure everyone is on the right track. Very understanding and will help you succeed in this class. There's a textbook but you don't need to read it unless you're doing the homework assignments. Exams are fairly easy and photo essay isn't hard.

ms. mosel is very sweet and just wants her students to understand the content. a lot of connect assignments, but the exams aren't too bad. she does take attendance, but i don't think it's mandatory.

One of the best professors I've experienced! She gives off energy that is really good to connect with and like. The lectures are good and she makes them interesting. There is no class on exam days, so everything is remote/online. Even let me take an exam I missed before my semester grades were final. Would totally recommend her!

Mosel is an exceptionally good professor. Sociology is my major, but as a First year student I did learn a lot from taking her course. It was easy to follow and understand, with relatively to the point lectures. I actually feel like I have learned something at the end of every lecture. Super sweet woman, would 100% recommend.

I thought this class would be boring but Dr. Mosel has made every single lecture so interesting. There is extra credit for attendance and one assignment. Assignments consist of Connect homework. Sometimes she will ask questions from her lectures on exams. I love this class! Dr. Mosel always shows she cares and asks about your day.

Hands down one of the best professors at Texas State. Her class is very welcoming and you do some talking with your peers, but if you're uncomfortable with that idea she also lets you work by yourself. Her lectures are short (an hour or less) and straight to the point. Would recommend that you take her class there is a reason why she is well liked!

Super easy exams as you could take them online. She is very entertaining during lectures, and involves her students a lot in the lecture. Has slides for her notes but I suggest adding on to them. All of the homework assignments due at the end of the semester.

TAKE HER, she's amazing. Each class is like 45 mins long. we always get out of class early everyday. She is so nice and funny! I would 100% recommend you take talk her class. This is my 2nd time taking this class because I failed it in the past. Trust me when I say take her and no one else!

Dr. Mosel is HILARIOUS. She lectures well and there is generally little work outside of class (it is unfortunately McGraw Hill). The classes usually end early, but you don't realize how long you're there because shes entertaining! I would 100% take this class again! This was the only class I never skipped lol. I love her! She's so lively in her lectures, which is refreshing! everything is online, so tests and assignments are a breeze. about 13-15 McGraw-Hill assignments, but you have all semester to get them done, plus those are helpful if you somehow bomb a test (you won't)

One of the best story tellers ever. This class is low maintenance and she makes that clear. If you want an A just take notes on your computer and go to lecture and you'll be good on the exams. You could definitely get a B in this class though if you skipped all classes. However, she's worth going to class to because she's so funny and heart warming

It's easy to get a good grade as long as you are coming to class, paying attention, and keeping up with the textbook, which is not hard to do as long as you don't procrastinate reading it.

If you need a free elective take her class! It is super easy and she tries so much to help people and keep the class engaged. Exams are easy, online, she lets you use notes and only proctors it so you do not use AI (camera and mic not required)

Loved this queen. Definitely one of my favorite professors of all time. She truly cares about her students and their success. Doesn't respond to emails, like at all but that's okay because she's nice so it makes up for it. Class is not mandatory, but you'll get extra credit on exams if you go.

This was my favorite class! The professor made a huge class feel personal and engaging. She's hilarious and super easygoing. McGraw Hill quizzes open day one and can be done at your own pace. Exams are on a lockdown browser but not recorded. One easy project. Attendance isn't mandatory. Extremely easy 100. I definitely recommend!

I am only a freshman and I already have a feeling that Dr. Mosel will be my favorite prof of all time. She is so relatable and personable. I would find myself giggling in class to the things she would say about the lecture or in general. Such an amazing prof to have if you're majoring or minoring in sociology.
