Kelly is very energetic and zelous about calc. Not to mention she is extremely hot, and makes class pass a bit faster :)
She's not hot,and she looks like Cindy Brady. She is very unclear, and notes r from the book, using symbols and all. She doesn't use numbers but instead When using #s would make it so much easier to understand..dont take her!
The class was fun. She is very nice and funny too. Some people complained about her tests but if you do the homework and study you will do fine.
she is a great teacher! her examples are very clear and she shows all the steps. you can't use a calculator on her tests though.

Class requires a lot of homework, but class notes are excellent and she is great at explaining concepts.

wayyy too particular about little things. you can get every concept in the class right and still be far from getting an A. whatever

She is one of the worst prof's that I have ever had. She is not helpful at all. She moves way too fast. She assigns a lot of homework which is nothing like her tests. Her test are hard and tricky. If you end up in her class get out fast. She is not afraid to fail people. In my opinion she should not be teaching.
Nice teacher. Has good course notes.
Great teacher, great notes. If you take her class you will not be sorry. She is always willing to helpif you ask her.
Her notes did not help for the test. You need to learn from the book, but she does not tell you this. When you take the test, you need to remember how she did it on the notes, if not set up right, the while question is wrong. She wants the answer the way she showed it in notes. Stay away from this teacher!!
She is a good teacher... She demands alot.. but her tests are very unfair. your grade is based on all tests (which she doesn't curve) Tests are very tricky. If you want to learn calculus and fail take this teacher.. Otherwise stay far away
Very nice lady, if you don't do good on tests then your not going to do good in her class because the only grades are tests, you take the notes in class which she basically types for you and then she does the problems for you......(do the homework)....then the test...the test is a lot harder then the homework. Overall nice teacher but too strict
This was the worst class that I have ever taken. She was the worst teacher ever. Her projects take a long time to complete, her tests are hard and she is not helpful at all. I would not advise anyone to take this class especially during the summer because of how fast paced it is.
very difficult. made calculus confusing. would advise not to take her.
math 1610 , this class is not an easy class. sometimes i felt he just memorise matha not teach it. i would neve take her class. she not worth it. if u want to pass her class, at least u should have a back ground in calculus .
I took calc II at Baldwin Wallace but dropped it due to a death in the family. Took Stady in summer and the material was a review for me, however her tests were so ridiculous that I got a D. Now I have to take the class again. I talked with her all semester about needing help because tests were so hard. She was no help. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS.
Ms. Stady is a great teacher. She is very challenging, but if you practice the also challenging material, you can do well in the class. She puts a lot of time into her notes for the class and is very helpful if you make an effort to talk to her during office hours.
I think Ms. Stady is a great teacher. I had her for Calc2 and approximately 2 years ago and I remember thinking her tests were difficult, but not unreasonably so. Lectures are really just reading the notes she has prepared. I'm taking this class for fun and because I saw she was teaching it! I would have to say she is quite attractive as well! :D
Instructor demands much of students. No calculators allowed on tests. Good at explaining concepts. Nice voice. Very attractive and charming woman.
GOOD PRO...
She did not care at all for students and was never available for office hours. She was the worst teacher I have ever had.
Difficult
If you don't come to Class you will fail because one class is so important. All of her quizes are online and homework. THERE IS NO CALCULATOR USE IN HER CLASS!!! She also makes everything for every one hard. I got a B in her class thats because I was there and studied. BAD TEACHER
She is a difficult teacher who flies through complicated concepts without thorough explanation, calculus is already hard enough without using tricky problems and projects. Not recommended if you need a math teacher see Kenneth Washington.
Seemed to be a nice teacher, but very difficult. Doesn't really care if your asking a question and she doesn't understand, she'll just blow it off. I work full time and go to school full time and I don't need complicated hw that takes 5 hours to complete. The website she uses isn't very helpful either
Abundance of online HW..Must come to class..the thing that was the worst was that all the answers on the test are multiple choice, which stinks! You can go through and work out the whole problem and if a decimal point was off the whole answer is wrong. I got a "D" on my tests bc the the multiple choices are so similar, u second guess your work!
very nice, answers all questions, controls the classroom, excellent teacher!
Very strict on grading taking off points for the smallest mistakes even if you have the answer right. She does help if questions are asked, but she manages to keep the class boring....
Show work, put correct answer, get marked wrong. Stay away from this teacher, stay far away. I would give a negative ranking if I could.
She's a good teacher. I wish she would teach more classes. She works through problems. She has an effective teaching style and is nice.
Who teaches calc 1 and does not allow a calculator? She seems nice but when u ask questions she doesn't give valid answers. Good luck to anyone taking her class!
Honestly, Stady has been the worst professor I have ever taken. She flies through lectures and if you ask questions, she basically just repeats herself with attitude. Her tests are nothing like her classwork. Over half my class dropped, which she basically suggests you to from the first day. I highly advise you STAY AWAY from her if possible!!
Absolutely horrible! Her exams are impossible and she can not teach for her life!
Was stuck in traffic and came in 5 minutes late and had to leave class. Puts a time limit on office hours. Gets mad when you ask questions. Tests have NOTHING LITERALLY NOTHING to do with the homework that takes 5 hours to do. Literally don't even consider it if you care about doing well/even passing
seriously shes is a straight math teacher her class is not hard and not easy every thing from notes and from the problems that she do you only gonna stock in this class if you dont have pre-knowledgment in math from high school
This teacher is terrible. She came off as caring but she isn't. Her class is passable if you do all homework and don't miss class but she moves way to fast and doesn't explain where a or why a certain formula is being used. No calculators allowed and she expects you to remember everything. Get out of her class if you can or bring a photographic memory.
Terrible professor. Doesn't explain anything, give you attitude when you ask and makes you feel stupid in front of a whole class. Absolutely crazy. Cell phones are not allowed to be ever near you, and even one minute late is not acceptable. Takes off points of your tests if she "sees" you on your phone or late. Gets very overwhelmed with lil things
All the way math. She is very effective for an older more responsible type of student. She actually makes you do work in class. *GASP* No cellphones, no surprise, they ARE distractions. Fair tests, fair grading. Explains problems VERY well. She is not good for the high school irresponsible disrespecting students. Adults only. I highly recommend.
Hardest class I have ever taken. I have received high grades in math until her class. She doesn't allow calculators on tests and barely goes over the homework. I HIGHLY recommend selecting a different teacher for your math class.
Class moves extremely fast. Calculus is not an easy class to begin with, she skips steps when she explains because she expects you to already know how to do things. I do my homework and attend every class and I'm barely passing. I AM a responsible college student, and I find this class next to impossible. She's very smart, but she's too smart.
Stady's notes read like a textbook which is my biggest complaint. She is an extremely tough grader and marks points off for every little formatting error even if you got the right answer. The tests are easily passable IF you complete all the homework problems since some of the test questions come from the homework.
She doesn't offer any kind of power point or notes. She assigns homework and you basically teach yourself using MyLab. Very time consuming. If you can, take this class in person.
Class was pretty straightforward. There are power point notes in MystatLab. Good about helping with homework when you email her. Textbook was hard to understand at times.
I eventually had to withdraw from this class or fail. If you want to pass this class you are going to have to find someone to tutor you. There are about five homework questions then a test, with none of the questions on it from the homework. There aren't any notes or power point slides to help you along the way, you just have to figure it out.
Was a pretty tough professor. Got all A's in math before I took her class. Tests are very difficult, some of the problems I have never seen in notes or homework and takes off points even for right answers but without the right format. If you want a decent grade, make sure you do every homework problem and see a tutor.
Class was short but not enough time to go over what was taught before homework. Office hours hard to get to before class if working full time job. Did work well with military, thumbs up. Class was hard get caught up on if classes were missed.
Exams are confusing. I didn't know what I needed to do. I didn't know what I needed to study for the exams. Takes a few days to respond to your emails, by that time the deadline would have passed.
No clarity on test questions, tests are not gone over to see what everyone struggles on. Tests online no partial credit for all work done. Has issue with extra credit. If you ask question in class she seems to get attitude like you should get it by what she said. Allowed students with 68 to C but did not do the same for other grade bands.
She's a nice women, but not a good teacher at all. I took a blended course and was failing by midterms. Doesn't use the books, hands out notes and goes over them verbatim, then let's you leave. I learned nothing had know idea what to do. The tests were hard and the hw even harder. Try not to get her if you can't do online, or you will fail!
I took her my first semester here and thought she was decent, but I appreciate her much more this semester. Clear notes and grading expectations. Show up and do your "optional" homework and you'll pass fine.
MyMathLab does 90% of the teaching. The two exams I took (which were 70% of the grade) were through ProctorU, which is an online proctoring service that left a sour taste in my mouth. Homework took upwards of 3 hours (per part of chapter) to do at most points. Prof. is helpful to an extent, but not very prompt with responses. Avoid if possible.
Great professor! The notes she makes herself are very neat and help you understand the concepts. 20% of your grade is quizzes (easy) and the other 80% is tests (sometimes tricky). She drops lowest test and quiz. Make certain you understand the optional homework, show up and you will do fine! Very nice instructor.
Don't take a calculus class with her if you don't want to fail. every week there is a Quiz the tests are nothing like the homework. for every silly mistake points off even if you got the right answer. Teaches really fast you can't really understand her. Don't take her if you want to pass.
The assigned homework was lengthy but didn't really prepare me for tests or quizzes. It is possible to pass her class but I couldn't settle for a C in any math courses.
Fair Professor. Required to complete homework (20% of grade) on Webassign with deadline every 2 days or more. She always approves an extension request for hw. There is an option of asking her questions regarding hw, she responds quickly. Study guides are very helpful. Had 4 tests (80%) on campus. Qs similar to those she solves in blackboard notes
Prof: Fair, Organized, Meticulous, Approachable, Knowledgeable Expectations: No calculators, Thorough/accurate work Grades: 70% Tests(4), 15% Homework (Online), 15% Quizzes Take her class if you want to learn the material & can put forth a reasonable amt of effort. She has high quality teaching standards and expects similar effort from students.
insane amount of homework and uses proctor U which makes me extremely uncomfortable
I have never struggled in math before taking this class. The tests determine your grade. Test are taken through ProctorU. ProctorU scarred me for life, as I am NEVER taking an online math class again. This was NOT my first online math class, I took stats online & passed with an A+. Only passed this class because she curved 3 out of 4 of our tests.
Tests are 80% of your grade and they are not like the homework. Barely any guidance. I feel like I'm completely teaching myself.
Midterm and final accounted for 80% of grade and there was far too deep a question pool to effectively study. "Cheat Sheet" is allowed on test and would be impossible without it. Large and time-consuming amounts of homework. Professor herself was nice and responsive when needed, but very much a teach-yourself course when taken online.
If you ask her questions she will explain good but if your afraid to ask question and you don't understand you will fail. The tests are hard, lots of homework, I wouldn't recommend taking her if you are looking for an easy professor.
I find that her method of teaching is very ineffective. I learned nothing from her and basically taught myself using Khan academy. I'm paying to learn not to suffer and try to teach myself. She uses proctor u and I see no clear reason why. Tests are god awful nothing like the homework. She doesn't even give partial credit for tests.
If I would give her zero stars, I would. Horrible teacher and very rude to students. Quiz every single week and very long hw assignments. Tests are very difficult and she doesn't let us use a calculator on 80% of the test..... DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS
Test heavy. Even when you show your work and get the answers right, she marks it wrong because she didn't like the way you got your answer. The ratings show what kind of a prof. she is. Good luck teaching yourselves.
You are going to cry, a lot.
Test are nothing like the homework, study guides are useless.
Took her class this summer, no online lectures, didnt put the schedule for quizzes in the syllabus and did not teach at all, I dont know what she actually did for the class, everything is graded automatically and we taught ourselves everything through my math lab and the book, terrible experience
Doesnt even teach the classes, just assigns homework and peaces out
Does not teach. You'll be scrambling to learn the material using Kahn Academy & YouTube videos. When you complete the homework online, it will tell you your answer is wrong then when you ask for help it will give you the same answer you already had. So frustration. Exams are through ProctorU & are extremely difficult.
This is pretty much self-taught math where there is no way to accurately tell where your mistakes are being made. The system being used to teach is far from helpful.
She does not care about her students. She does not accept any late work, even if it is an accident. We have 5-6 assignments a week and it is almost impossible to keep up. She is not willing to help students at all. Midterm and final use ProctorU.
I took Stady's Precalc class. 3 hours of homework PER DAY, and expect double if you watch the videos. This is a SELF-TAUGHT COURSE. She doesn't explain anything, and though she provides a formula sheet for tests (There are 3, and they're worth 75% of the grade), half the formulas are useless, and she leaves out everything important. You will cry.
Easily the worst instructor I've had since I've gone to Tri-C. Doesn't teach anything, relies on past videos, doesn't use the textbook and is overall more or less just a babysitter instead of an actual teacher. This class should be considered self taught if anything. No direction, no help, nothing but reminders of when the next exam is.
Professor Stady was honestly one of the hardest professors I have dealt with thus far. Going online is tricky because you don't get to build relationships with your profs. However, once I finally got her to understand why I was struggling she was AMAZING! Her class is extremely test heavy, but she will support you if you show her you deserve it.
She is super harsh and rude. She doesn't teach, she doesn't help you at all, she had a lot of attitude in emails as if it isn't her job to teach when we have questions, and she isn't there for you as a professor. This is a 'teach yourself' class, she doesn't care about doing her job, and even if you're having technical problems, she doesn't care.
This is a self taught class. I am busy and don't have the time to sit and do this all by myself. It is online, but I still expected her to actually TEACH the class, but she doesn't. The tests do bring down your grade so bad if you don't do good. We weren't allowed with a formula sheet for the test. Except 1/4 tests. You will cry taking the class.
Bitter person and even worse teacher. This homework will take hours upon hours each week and the tests are Webassign so there is absolutely no partial credit for wrong answers. It is so difficult to learn because she packs so much work in a short amount of time. If you are assigned her... RUN. This class genuinely deteriorated my mental health.
Rude professor and a waste of my time. Had an issue with the proctor site during an exam and she made me retake the exam (I had to call off work for this) then when I got a better grade on my second attempt, suddenly my original score was just fine. I had to argue with her over email for 3 days just to get her to average my scores smh.
I took this class online. Assignments weren't too bad because you had multiple attempts. Exams were awful through. We had to learn only using the textbook, and she provided no assistance. The assignments were all graded by MathLab. I asked her to review my test for formatting issues, and she was very snarky and said I should know better. Easy drop.
I am traumatized worst professor ever I had a tric never ever taking her again. Test was very hard like 50 questions within 2 hours and were long questions proctored exams and the proctors were so mean. homework only had 2 tries per question, no multiple attempts very hard class treated it like it was harvard. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
