One of the best teachers at Tech. Super helpful, understanding, and extremely dedicated to her students. Word to the wise: do not come to class late more than a few times. That seems to be one of the only thing that wears her patience thin. Otherwise she's a doll.

Mrs. Vetter is AWESOME. She is always available to help. If you ask her a question she will fully explain it for you. She is patient, and she genuinely cares about her students and their grades. I highly recommend her!

I really enjoyed Mrs. Vetter as a teacher. Pre calc is one of the hardest classes at Wake Tech but she made it easy to understand. The class is easy to get a B in but the exam is extremely hard.

Pre-Calc is hard in general, so make sure you invest a lot of time into getting the material. The four tests and the final are worth 72% of your grade. Crazy, but that's how it's set up. But Mrs. Vetter is probably as good as it gets for Wake Tech professors in the field. Just ask a lot of questions, and do well on the tests, you'll do fine.

Honestly? Good luck finding a better Pre cal teacher than Mrs. Vetter. She's extremely helpful and actually seems to care about her students and their success, while a lot of professors at Wake Tech won't give you the time of day. The class is a lot of work, but if you put in the effort it isn't that bad - definitely reach out to her for help!

Going into my first year I was nervous about this class. However, about a week in I realized I was so thankful I chose Mrs. Vetter for pre-calc. I really don't think I could have made a better choice. She really helps you understand the material and if you have any questions she always has a clear answer! Just do the work and make sure to study!

I had Mrs. Vetter for MAT 171 and MAT 172. She is an awesome instructor that explains math topics very well. Both courses are very difficult and fast pace, but if you attend class and do all of the homework, it is okay. If you skip class or slack on the homework, you won't pass. She is willing to help you if you are working hard.

Mrs. Vetter is an awesome instructor that has a real talent for explaining difficult topics such that real learning can occur. I have had her for two classes 171 and 172 and made an A in both. I worked my butt off, but if you are willing to do the work, you can have great success in her class. She really is a gem and you are lucky to get her.

Vetter is one of the best math teachers. She did a pretty good job prepping you for tests, but you need to study a lot. There are quizzes(not pop ones)& she did assign a lot of hw, but all of it helped you for the tests. Try to do as many problems from the lab manual bc they reflect the tests the most. She's great one on one if you need extra help.

I dropped 172 last spring semester because I had a horrible teacher. Thankfully I found Vetter. She is an amazing teacher and will go out of her way to help students. She does a lot of in class problems and walks students through how to solve, rather than just lecture off a powerpoint. I would take her for every math class if she taught them.

Professor Vetter is the best math teacher at Wake Tech! I took her seated class and it was awesome! She is very nice, funny, caring and empathetic. She really encourages students to excel, not only in math but in all of their courses. Plus, she understands that things happen and can hinder one's grade sometimes. I took MAT 121 online with Mrs. Vetter and while it was a tough class, I liked her as a teacher. The course is organized and she gives a lot of feedback on assignments. Algebra is not my favorite subject, but Mrs. V made it okay. But you have to do all the homework to pass the tests!

I have Mrs. Vetter for MAT 171 and she is an amazing teacher. You WILL HAVE TO WORK VERY HARD IN HER CLASS! But, as long as you do the work, come to class, and try to do well, she is very supportive! She WILL CALL YOU OUT IN CLASS IF YOU ARE A SLACKER! I love her class and I wish she was teaching MAT263 as she would be my first choice.

Good online class. Math is hard online, but that was my only option. Mrs. V is a good teacher and she is very supportive. This class takes a lot of time, though so be prepared to work hard. I think I will finish with an A, but I have worked hard for it.

she is good at explaining, this class is not that hard is mostly algebra and things you've seen from high school but a little harder. she does go off topic sometimes in class. her tests are so easy even easier than what you learn in class. she grades things very fairly and will give some credit if you get the answer wrong but show work.

Great professor! As long as you work hard in the class and complete all the homework, the class should be relatively easy. Professor Vetter is very good at explaining complex topics in an easy to understand way. She can be a little intimidating at first but once you get to know her, she is a fantastic professor. Would totally take her again.

Excellent instructor. I've never been good at math, but she explained things very clearly and generally showed the class why things worked the way they did, and what applications the concept had in the real world. Lots of tests, and quizzes. But if you show up, pay attention, and take notes, you'll be fine.

Favorite teacher at WT. She is extremely organized and posts written out solutions online. Very patient and helpful during office hours. Does not rush thru teaching new material (gives time to process/practice). I used her notes/handouts for calc 2, calc 3, & statics! DO EVERYTHING ASSIGNED (lm, online hw, w/s..) & test will be an easy A.

If you are not prepared for class, she will know it and she will call you out on it. She helped me understand that math takes time and patience.

Cares about her class and wants you to pass. Very helpful during office hours. Sometimes goes on tangents and can get off topic, that's my only complaint. When sticks to the lesson, explains it in a clear and concise manner. Sounds like you're being taught by a human, NOT a textbook. Course materials are too expensive. Webassign is used.

Hard class because there are lots of homework assignments, quizzes, and webassign problems to complete. However, if you do the assignments and get extra help when you need it, you can be successful. She is a really good at explaining tough math topics. Don't miss class as she covers a lot of material every class session.

Great instructor. Very hard class. You will have LOTS of homework. But, if you do the homework, it does help you to understand the content better. She's very nice and straight forward. She tells you everything you need to do to prepare for the tests and if you do her recommendations you'll get good grades nearly every time. She's good at explaining things as well. Don't slack off because you can quickly fall behind as the class is very fast-paced.

Mrs. Vetter's class is not easy, but if you do the work and study for the tests, you'll get an A. She makes it really easy to keep track of homework and assignments, which I REALLY appreciated. This is a hard class, will be hard no matter what professor you take it with. Professor Vetter assigns a lot of work. She makes sure that you do it as well by grading lab manual pages. I personally think doing all that work helped me succeed in the class so I reccomend her. Be prepared to work hard though. Also she has a strong southern acsent.

pretty straightforward class. provides lots of examples and videos, responds to any question fast. had us do sets of problems online in groups multiple occasions, wasn't the best idea but she is a good teacher. never was good at math and was nervous taking it all online but she helped out a lot. be prepared for 2 lessons + 2 quizzes due every week.

Vetter is the best math teacher I have ever had. I can't believe how well I was able to learn math in an online format. She has awesome videos and she can explain math very well. She assigns a lot of work, but I think that is why I am finally succeeding at math! She assigns work that MAKES you LEARN the material. I wish I could take her for Calc.

What can I say? It can't get any VETTER. Professor Vetter is far beyond the best Math teacher. She is very caring and always ready to help during her office hours. She makes videos going over examples from the lab Manual. And yes, there's a lot of work, but I call it practice b/c the answers are given so the grade is according to the work you show.

Difficult class but great teacher. Be prepared to spend 15 - 20 hours per week on homework, studying, etc. However, the work does help you to learn the content so it does feel worthwhile. Videos created by Vetter are really great.

Great math instructor. The course itself is challenging but the instructor does a great job of explaining the difficult concepts. She does expect you to do the work (slackers don't like her because they get a lot of zeros for not doing the work), but I found the assignments very helpful in actually learning the concepts. I highly recommend.

Vetter is an excellent and caring instructor; she makes the material easy to digest and will go over it with you if you don't understand. The course is structured into modules with assignments/content roughly every other day. Do everything in her "Lab Manual" it will be your guide! A lot of work is asked, but the effort will pay dividends.

Professor Vetter was easily my favorite professor this semester. She's super caring and helpful, and always is willing to help out by explaining concepts. Beware, this class is hard. You'll have to dedicate at least 20 hrs per week for homework, studying, etc. But she does have office hours 4 days of the week, so she's always prepared to help out.

Professor Vetter is a great math professor! She gives opportunities to ask for help and makes herself available if you are struggling. This class is a bit heavy. The work is fast-paced, two homework due dates every week, one quiz due weekly. STUDY for the four module tests. Regardless, Professor Vetter is the best math professor I've had yet.

The class is fast-paced with a lot of content/assignments, but keep up with due dates and you'll do great. Four module tests and one final in one semester. I took MAT 171 with Vetter ONLINE. She had plenty of thorough videos by both her and others for each lesson to explain the information and go through examples, and her blackboard was set up well. There was lots of homework and tests are a major part of your grade, but that doesn't change by professor. The Lab Manual prepares you well for the test.

MAT 263 - Brief Calculus - Mrs. V is the best math teacher I have ever had. Honestly, I can't believe I actually understand calculus and I am making an A. I would not consider myself a strong math student, but Mrs. V is a great teacher. The class is a lot of work though, but if you do the work, then you are prepared for tests.

One of the best professors I have had. She is an incredibly caring teacher and wants all of her students to do well. Made calculus somewhat easy for me with her teaching style and all of the practice she provided. If you do the practice she provides you will succeed.

This is an incredibly dense course, especially online, and Professor Vetter gives students every possible avenue for success. She is clear in her expectations, as well as the amount of time and effort this class requires, and she gives students all the resources needed to succeed. She's prepared, responsive, and very supportive. Highly recommend!

I have really enjoyed this calculus course. I have learned so much, and using excel has been a great experience (I have never used excel before this class). Prof Vetter is very good at teaching math and I appreciate that she really wants you to learn the calculus topics.

MAT-263. Amazing professor. Lectures are interesting and thorough. Homework can be a lot, but most of it is optional. If you just do the mandatory assignments, you'll spend about 1-2 hours a week on homework. Tests were easy, and projects were graded forgivingly. Highly recommend.

Professor Vetter really cares about her students. She is a strict teacher but explains her rules very clearly. I loved taking her for calculus, she was helpful and easily accessible when needed. There are group projects and presentations in front of the class. This is not an easy course, but she makes calculus fun. I would recommend taking her.

I liked this class but I also really like math in general. She moves fast so if you need more time on material it's pretty much on your time. She is strict on grading tests and you'll miss points for little mistakes. Be prepared to spend a good amount of time outside of class on material.

Dr. Vetter is a fantastic math teacher. I did not miss a class all semester and being in class is important so you don't miss the lectures. She was very helpful in office hours and after class when I had questions. The class was challenging, but that is to be expected with precalc. I feel very prepared for calculus.

Mrs. V's online MAT 171 class is the best math online class I have ever taken. She has a lot of videos that she created that are really helpful in learning the topics. The class is a lot of work though, but if you work on the assignments daily it is manageable. Going to virtual office hours was very helpful for me.

I took Brief Calculus with Mrs. Vetter. Great experience!!! I am a so-so math student, but I have done really well in her class. She is very good at explaining calculus! I highly recommend. Lots of homework though, and the class is a lot of work. But, if you stay on top of your webassign and lab manual work, you should be okay.

She is a really good teacher and uses youtube videos (including her own) to teach. My only problem was that she tried to give me zeros on multiple desmos assignments for technical issues outside our control. She normally was understanding and laid out the class very well.

Great lectures that really break down the material. There's some tricky concepts but she made them very easy to understand. Very clear on what you need to do and by when. If you go to class and stay on top of assignments you will pass the class with a very high understanding of the material. I would highly recommend her for any math course.

Great teacher and I am so thankful that she taught this class. Tried this class at NCSU twice already and it was a disaster. Take the class at WTCC with Vetter and it will be much better experience. She is organized and has great lectures. Attending class is a must. She posts her notes but not the same as being at the lecture.

I had professor Vetter for Mat-263 this spring semester and she is great! She always brought great energy into class. It is calculus so of course it is going to be hard but keep up with your lab manual and attend class and you should be able to pass.

such a great professor! she made sure we understood the material, always answered questions we had. gave lots of homework but it really helped you grasp the material. advised us on what to study for the tests and made handouts we could go over. as long as you studied, practiced and did the work you would be fine. too bad she's retiring! LOLXDDD

Professor Vetter is definitely one of the best professors, she has a very active discussion board throughout the semester where you can reach out to her about math related problems and she consistently provides great explanations to math issues that students may have. Homework can be difficult and heavy, but her videos provide helpful examples!

Very good teacher! She IS REALLY good at teaching Calculus. While the topics are challenging, I have enjoyed learning Excel and how that can be used with Calculus. I never thought I would actually like Calculus. Highly recommend!!!

Really enjoyed this course! Vetter is a great teacher and she is really good at explaining difficult math concepts to people who are not good at math (like me). If I had to take any other math classes at Wake Tech I would definitely take another class with her.

AMAZING pre-calculus teacher. Her course/lecture videos were easy to understand. She was supportive and did not make you feel dumb. She was a fair grader, but there is a lot of homework!! If you want to do well in the class, here are a couple of HINTS--> Take notes on all videos, do all study worksheets for tests, and ASK QUESTIONS! 10/10

I didn't typically watch the lessons; I would just do the homework and learn by problem solving, but every time I got stuck, her video lessons clearly explained how to approach each problem. She responds super fast too, so anything not in a video she will explain for you thoroughly through email, office hours, or the questions post.

LOVE this professor so much! She is such a great teacher. I am genuinely sad that the class is over as I have learned so much from her this semester. The class is hard because it is Calculus. But, Mrs. Vetter really does make in manageable. Highly recommend!
