She has a true passion for helping her students. She really loves her job, and it shows. The subject matter is difficult, however she will hand you come points, and really make you earn others. Attend class, and do the assignments, and you should be fine

I am now in graduate school in another state. I reciently had a COUN 520 "Human Development for Professional Counseling".....it sucked compared to Kelly's classs. She's real, she's funny, nad she's very very smart. I have over 200 college credit

People who find Dr. Welch offensive need to chill out... but I suppose we ARE in Kansas... This lady is hilarious and keeps you interested in a less than interesting topic. She is also very flexible with students with forgotten assignments. I think her sex stories are hilarious. I only wish there were more Kelly Welches.

Just make sure you go to class. As long as you are in class you should get a good grade.

Great Great Great Professor! I'm very excited to take more of Kelly's clcasses. She is very interesting and entertaining, and is always looking out for your best interest. Her policies may seem harsh as written in the syllabus, but she's actually a VERY understanding person.

Learning and being in class with Dr. Welch is so much fun. The only downside to this class is taking the essay exams. They are take home, so that's not a problem...but they take awhile to complete along with a lot of paper!

Dr. Welch is a cool teacher. She finds her subject matter interesting and is incredibly passionate about it. If you go to class then you should get a good grade.

Choices in Childbirth. Great class. Good professor. Kelly likes to talk. Sometimes I found myself not thinking about the subject matter because I didn't see the relevance. Demanded a lot of writing. But if you write the same thing over and over again you'll get the grade you want.

Kelly Welch didn't really teach my section but I had to watch the lectures online and she is a RIOT! I loved this class. It took a lot of work but was really easy because it just made sense.

Dr Welch is great! I think everyone at Kstate should take at least one class from her! The class was interesting and she really seemed to enjoy teaching the class. All the stuff you learn is practical information that you can use in real life! The exams require a ton of writing but the class is worth it!

This class was not hard but because I missed one day and it happend to be worth a lot of points, I got a C. She is a good teacher though, but make sure you do the notes and the video's on time! I didn't sleep for a week trying to catch up!

This class was interesting because Dr. Welch taught through lectures online and someone else taught the actual class. It was disappointing, but Dr. Welch's lectures were HILARIOUS! She is very...spontaneous and interesting!

She is the greatest professor in the WORLD! I had her for Human Development and Family Relations, and still can't get enough. The book she wrote is amazing and I am sure her next will be also. She makes learning fun and I can't tell if I am truly attracted to the material (now my major) or if it was just a misattribution to her charisma...LOVE HER

In four years of being at KSU I have taken 3 campus classes and one online class. I absolutely love her as a teacher! She is funny and very interesting. Makes class fun and makes it so the information really sticks with you. I would recommend her classes to anyone who wants to see how all teachers should teach!! MY FAVORITE!!

She is absolutely AMAZING. You really dont want to miss this class. You get what you put into it, She makes the subject matter relevant to you and interesting. This is my favorite class to date.

I took this course through distance education. I loved it and learned so much! It was very time consuming to finish the first exam, but the final was a piece of cake! Take her class, she is very entertaining!

She is entertaining on her videos and the information in this class was really good. She is pretty repetitive, and as long as you are repetitive on your tests, you do fine. My complaint is that her response to emails are very slow. When you are a distance student, you need quick response from teachers and this was frustrating.

I wish she taught all my classes! Very good teacher! Also makes the class enjoyable and Fun!

I have so much fun in Dr. Welch's classes. Even my kids love to watch her lectures. My family has learned so much. Everyone who ever dreams of being a parent needs this class. It will take a lot of pain out of being a parent.

She is AMAZING. Extremely funny, informative, easy to work with. The assignments and tests were a challenge, but really not that bad if you take good notes and pay attention. Took online and her video lectures were more like watching a comedy channel. Really makes you feel involved. This is how every professor should teach.

Dr. Welch is a very helpful instructor who is interested in one thing and one thing only. TEACHING YOU WHAT SHE KNOWS. Her course is designed specifically for students to learn. It's easy, but it's easy because you LEARN something in her course and REMEMBER it by the time you take the test or write the papers.

Great teacher! Kelly is one of the best professors I know. The online lectures are kinda boring and super long, but the information is good. Sometimes her tangents are super funny. Her tests are challenging, but be sure to write everything and draw all the diagrams!!!I recommend any Kelly Welch class to any student, no matter what your major is.

She wasn't actually teaching, she was out with a family emergency, but I watched her lectures online and she is by far one of the best teachers I've ever had. That tells you something since she never could teach the class. Amazing teacher and human being.

I didn't actually take this class with her because of a family emergency but she was in lecture videos for the class. She was an AWESOME professor and very into what she was teaching. Sadly, I think the notes and the videos need to be updated because some of the videos quality was VERY BAD!

Dr. Welch is hilarious and extremely talented at what she does. If you have the opportunity to take a class from her take it! You won't be sorry. Going to class and listening to lectures is the key to an easy A in this class. But plot twist: you'll actually WANT to go to class.

BEST! TEACHER! EVER! Kelly is nice, entertaining, and will work with you to get the material. I found the class to be very enjoyable! I had the class at 8:05 and she made it so much easier to get out of bed in the morning. If you have the chance to take any class from her, DO IT!

Dr. Welch is very knowledgeabl in her field and it comes across in her lectures. TAKE NOTES because you will get these long essay formatte tests that will not be anything you can pull out of your you know what. You literally have to use her terms and show that you understand them.

Kelly gives a lot of work to her students but, you won't have a teacher that is more understanding and actually cares about her student. Her teaching methods work and what she teaches actually sticks to you. It's not a class that you take and later on you can't remember what they taught you. Overall she is loved by her student and you can see it.

I have taken 3 classes with Kelly Welch and I absolutely love her. Yes you will have essays, but its a family studies class so its common. She loves and cares for all of her students and makes class very enjoyable. She even ordered our whole class (60+ students) pizza! She is good about telling you what you are doing right and wrong on your papers.

Kelly Welch is absolutely one of the most amazing teachers I have had at K-State. Human Sexuality can be a hard class to teach being so controversial but Kelly is so respecting and intelligent when it comes to this topic. She does an amazing job at explaining and her lectures are incredible. Attendance is HUGE, make sure you don't miss class!

At first was confused on the set up of the class but then it became very repetitive, which in hand made the class really easy. Tests aren't too bad as long as you take good notes.

One of my favorite professors at K-State. Kelly gives as much effort into her class as you do. The harder you try for your grade, the more she will help you to do well. She loves to get to know her students on a personal level and with the sizes of classes at KSU this is something that is so important to me. TAKE ALL OF HER CLASSES!!

Dr. Welch is an amazing professor, she is just so much fun in class. She's very clear in her lectures and makes sure everybody understands it and has a unique teaching style which can draw you in to learn more. You have to put in work in class to get a good grade, but it's not impossible. And if you skip class, you'll be lost the next class period.

Every week you have a case study about an adolescent's delinquent behavior and you have to "defend" the adolescent who is being tried; you use the information you learn that week in class to complete the case. Do not forget Bronfenbrenner or you will not do as well on the paper (she scores pretty high anyway). She is hilarious!!
