her class is hard but she is a good teacher and she really challenges your mind. She is also very good about helping outside of class, as well as in. The best thing about her is her passion and knowledge about the subject she teaches.

She is an excellent teacher. Her class is kind of hard but a challenge is always good. She is always there to help you. She gives extra credit to help out your grade. She jokes around all the time and likes to do group work. If you have to take biology I recommend taking her

AWESOME teacher, she is very helpful and seems to be one of the few teachers who cares about her students and what they learn from her class. print off the slides for class and go in for extra help before test time and you will do fine

Made a boring class very interesting. I was definitely more excited about the environment around me and more aware than before! I would love to take another class from her.

She is a good teacher and very cool person. I recommend her and the course. The course is not hard if you go to class and take notes. My only problem was that she is hard to find when you need help.

I had West for BIOL 1260 Lab and loved every class! She has a very interesting personality and people seem to be drawn to her. She is quirky and fun and makes jokes all class. She expected a lot but it is very easy to achieve. Always in a good mood even at 8am! I would recommend her to anyone who wanted an enjoyable Science!

She is a interesting person. She sounds like Dori from Finding Nemo and is always joking. She makes her class intersting. I had her for Bio 1260 and the lab. She is always in a good mood and extreamly approchable. I would take her class again. btw don't judge a book by its cover.

She is great! She makes the subject exciting and usually the ones complaining are the ones who expect her to give a study guide of everything that is on the test! Hello, this is college, not 5th grade. She is entertaining and if you give even an ounce of effort she will help you succeed.

She is an amazing professor, willing to help, and very funny. Hard to study for her tests so take really good notes and try to remember everything she says because most topics on the tests are what she talks about. I highly recomend you to take her. She is one of the best professors at North Georgia. Take her for lab if you can also!

She is a very interesting person. Very funny and enthusiastic. However, her teaching style didn't fit me well. She talks very fast and her powerpoints are very vague. If you decide to take her, TAKE EXTREMELY GOOD NOTES. Even if you do that, good luck on the tests. They're very hard and the material on there is sometimes not discussed in class.

West is great and a blast to talk to! Her tests aren't insanely hard, but I definitely had to study, which I'm not used to. I had her for Lab and it's just as fun. Lab quizzes are cumulative, but not hard, so study up before each lab! She's not afraid to cancel class!

West is a great professor. She's really cool, and her lab was super easy. I clearly made a B in her class, but she still gave me an A. She made environmental science really interesting. Just don't buy the book. Seriously.

I really enjoyed this class. You don't have to attend or participate, but you should buy the book! Reading over the book material helps since her powerpoints are vague. Do this, and good grades are easy. A few easy homework assignments and a project at the end. Pretty easy class and she tries to keep the students entertained.

She's very amicable and knowledgeable on the subject, though powerpoints can be unclear. Always in a good mood and willing to answer any questions. Tests are cumulative but looking over the study guides and your notes are usually all you need. May occasionally have to refer to the book for specifics. Her labs are easy and enjoyable.

As a person, I really liked Professor West. As a teacher, though, she was a bit unclear and did not seem organized. Work was never given back, and everyone went into the final exam with little clue about their grade. She's very enthusiastic and nice, so I would recommend her for the class. You will learn so much, just be careful.

Professor West is extremely helpful and interesting. I enjoy going to her class because she makes things easy to understand and understands that everyone has to take a science class. I HIGHLY recommend her for taking this class! The labs are fun too!

She is definitely a good teacher. Her quizzes were quite hard, but Biol is not an easy class anyway. Love having her.And she is so HOTTTTTTT!!!I never miss a class to make sure I will always see her at least 3 times a week:)

One of my favorite professors. Sit in the front row, do every assignment, and answer questions aloud/start discussions and you will get an A for sure. She's kind of totally the best person in existence in my opinion, no exaggeration. SHE CARES A LOT. Love ya k west!

Kelly West is an amazing teacher, her compassion for the subject matter and the environment is contagious making even an 8am class tolerable. it's important to take notes and go to class even though attendance wasn't required because the power points posted online mostly consist of pictures. I recommend her very highly.

Mrs. West is an awesome woman and good teacher. She does all power points and videos. She is clear and precise and the dailyproject grades are easy, but the tests in her class are really hard. I am a great student and hard worker but i've made a C on every test because they're not similar to what we learn. She will work with you though!

For lab, she didn't show up to class a couple of times and didn't really seem to care that much. If you payed attention even the slightest you'll get an A. Also, she was an easy grader on the labs, just try to be really thorough and you'll be fine.

It was an easy class and when i studied for a while the day before the test I easily made a B. She was super cool and fun to talk to. I liked her lectures.

Prof West talks very fast. You have to pay attention to figure out what information is actually necessary. She offered a few extra credit opportunities. She isnt good about posting things on time when she said she would. Just stay on top of it and remind her and she will give you powerpoints. An A is achievable if you study the powerpoints

Was about to drop the class, then went to talk to her about my grade&she really works with you if you put in the effort. Tests are hard! It's hard to know what she is going to test over, but just go see her and she will help you. Do the extra credit!! She is my favorite professor I have had (I am a sophomore) Super nice and easy to talk to.

Professor West was great. But! the secret in making a good grade in her class is simply listening to her lectures. Her test are tough but if you really listen she says the answers in class. Its tempting to get on your phone, especially because she doesn't mind if you have them out, but DONT do it! Lots of extra credit - more assignments less exams.

Kelly West is an awesome person and is super helpful if you ask for it. You do have a couple extra credit opportunities... Take them! Her tests are really difficult bet not impossible. You have to do 6 service hours but they are an easy 100 for a test grade. Go to class so you get the notes and you should be fine!

Had West for lab and it was the easiest lab I've ever gone to. Labs were interesting and fun to do. Actual lab work and worksheets were minimal. She was an easy grader for the labs we did have. The one project we had was interesting and easy. This is an easy lab.

Honestly, I have no idea how I made an A in this lab class. I felt awful about the lab quizzes. Thus she either passed most people or I did better than I thought. The lab class in general is a joke you don't have to print out the labs or anything. You can be on your phones. She's really chill. You're most likely to get out early 100% of the time.

WEST IS THE BEST! I heard her lecture class was tough, but I had her lab and it was awesome. Shes so helpful and nice and literally if you show up you'll get an A. Shes so funny and lets you leave super early. TAKE THIS CLASS. Seriously. It was awesome. I missed the class like twice though, so im not sure what my grade is gonna be, but i loved it.

Professor West is amazing. She is always willing to help you whenever you need it, just go by her office. Extra credit is a lifesaver in her class. Test are tough but you won't fail the class if you do poorly on a couple.

Professor West is a great person! She is really down to earth, really caring, and funny. As a professor, however, I didn't love her. The class itself was easy (and easy to skip, she doesn't take attendance) but the tests were always difficult. It never followed what she taught and I didn't do well in the class because of that.

This class was fairly difficult, but maybe it was because I am a non-science major. Tests are pretty tough, but the other graded assignments will save your grade. She cancels class a good bit too. If you show up, take notes, and pay attention then you should do pretty good. She is not one of those uptight professors either, very easy to talk too.

I had West for the lab and lecture. The labs are pretty fun, but once again her quizzes are hard. They are a little easier than her lecture tests because there isn't but so much info on the lab sheets. I made a 4/10 on a quiz and still passed the lab with an A. Not many graded items though, so beware.

She doesn't give a lot of assignments but all the assignments she does give are super easy. Turn things in and you can easily get a B or an A

I had West for my enviro lab, and I loved her class. Final is a group project on sustainability, most labs are field trips and aren't in a lab. West was super nice and understanding, was very passionate about what she was teaching. She doesn't hand back grades, but it's hard to expect anything other than an A if you just show up/make some effort

Had her for ecology.. a lot of the time the lectures felt completely off of what we are learning.. just read the text chapters and emphasize on the topics in her PPs in the book and youll pass easily. Lab was a joke dont really know why it was needed, but least it helped with a grade. Shes an awesome person, JUST TALK TO HER and she will help.

You would be remiss to not take Dr. West. She does get distracted during lecture, but if you don't understand a concept there is no one better to explain it to you. She is a student teaching other students basically so she understands that you have other classes to focus on. Read the book and your grades will come with it.

Professor West is a very nice person. She is very passionate about Env. Sci. I had 3-4 friends all in a different lecture and they all said their professors were really hard. It sounds like she is by far the best choice if you take 1260. Her tests were hard but fine. She had us do several bigger assignments like a poster board and volunteer work.

The main issue for her lab is that she doesn't grade anything. The semester is over and I never received feedback on a single thing. There was a group project that required us to come up with a poster instead of a powerpoint. Her labs are interesting and fun, they require you to drive about 3-5 minutes from campus. She is nice and the lab is easy.

West is a great professor. Her tests are not easy. However, show up, take notes, and ask questions and you'll pull out an A! I loved her!!

Professor West is awesome. One of the best professors i have ever had. She is well respected and loves what she does. She will help you succeed. Meeting her changed my outlook on Ecology and the Natural World. Great person and one of the best professors i have ever had. Defiantly will take her again!!

Ms. West is a good choice for Enviromental Science. She understands that literally everyone is there just to get a core class done, so she doesnt try and soak up all of your time with needless work. Just do all of the assignments and take notes in class (also notes on videos outside of class) and it should be very easy to do well in.

West is an amazing person as well as a pretty good professor. Science is NOT my strong suit or my major but I actually enjoyed her class. She takes a while to grade things and to post power points on D2L but her lectures are very informational if you show up. I wish there had been a study guide for all the tests but other than that she's great!

Ecology lab was awesome! Shes super nice and laid back. Easy grader for the most part, but I didnt have her for lecture. The lab is over 3 weeks before the semester. Be prepared to be outside for almost every lab; but theyre always fun. The only 8am I would ever recommend.

Even though I didnt get the grade I wanted this was due to effort. She is extremely fair and extremely understanding. She is an amazing and open teacher. She gives great feedback. I rarely give feedback on teachers but she is amazing and absolutely deserves it. She takes great pride in her work and still manages to teach students all criteria.

Kelly was a great professor. She truly cares about the well-being and success of her students and it very much shows. She is passionate about science and makes it fun and enjoyable to learn. She is a slow grader so if you have to have feedback fast, she may not be for you. However, I cannot imagine taking another professor.

She is super laid back and wants everyone to succeed in her class. As long as you turn in all your homework and show a little bit of effort she will give you an A, and she does not grade very hard on assignments. Loved her and the class!

Professor West is great. She wants you to think about your environmental decisions instead of just learning about it, she also doesn't judge you. Labs are so fun, we went kayaking for one. The only downside to this class is that the assignments are long and due on Friday. I still think it's worth it though, would take her again.

Professor West is not a bad professor and she is super sweet, but she is heavy on assignments (watching documentaries, reading, and lengthy discussion posts) however they are simple. I can't really say anything bad about her besides she is so picky about grading and will wait until the last minute to do it which drove me crazy.

Class was straightforward. Assignments were long/easy. I finished them early on. Tests/Quizzes were HARD. Google helped a little but not too much. She gives very little time for them, but it can be done! Labs were so fun! Lots of "field trips" like kayaking and hiking. Definitely wants you to think about the environment and apply it. Not just books

West is a good professor she just gives a ton of tedious workThe work isn't really hard it's just a lot and sometimes takes a good bit of time (Timed test) Also she makes us have 8 hours of "service" aka volunteering for something environmental over the course of the class and as a student teacher working multiple jobs, this was the hardest part.

Amazing teacher and the content was interesting. I learned a lot about my life and how humans affect our world in negative ways, but also how to combat this too. Take her class, she is so nice and you get to kayak :)

West is the best. Lots of busy work that is super easy and a fun lab class lots of outdoor activity. She is awesome and makes me want to retake her class. If you're looking for an easy A take her class. NO tests only quizzes and she encourages working with other students on class work.

LOVE Kelly.... she is such a good professor and she understands and makes it clear that this is an intro class and not a major class. The quizzes are easy and the work outside of class is very easy as well. She is so nice and brings her dog to class and always wants us to have fun in the classroom and the lab.

Kelly was a really great professor. She knew that all of us were there to fill a requirement and didn't try and pretend otherwise. Quizzes were kind of weird and based off of very specific class topics but other than that, labs were easy and lectures were not hard to understand. Very great professor overall.

Professor West was awesome. I was worried about taking another science class because of my old professor. However, she was great, highly would recommend her environmental course. It was easy, mostly lectures and a couple of quizzes here or there (open note). The labs were always fun and I surprisingly learned a lot. I would def take her again.

Absolutely love this professor. Brought her dog to class numerous times and understood when you were extra tired or unfocused. Everything is fairly easy except the quizzes that can be a little confusing. Can not say enough good things about this her. She seems to care about you more than the grade. No final/midterm, just let's you choose a project.

Kelly is a great professor who understands this is a gen ed class. Quizzes are specific but labs/lectures are easy. unstuck ai and ChatGPT were super helpful for studying.

I put forth effort even though I didn't receive the grade I desired. She is incredibly understanding and fair. She is a wonderful, honest teacher. She provides insightful criticism. Although I don't often comment on teachers, she is fantastic and deserving of it. She manages to teach kids these criteria while taking immense joy in her work.

Professor Kelly was a pretty good professor. She takes attendance almost every class but you have 3-5 classes until it counts against your grade. Lectures are sorta boring and will run until the end of class. Her labs are interesting and you will get to travel outside of the classroom for them. Lenient on due dates if you talk to her.

Took this class over the summer for 4 weeks. The class is elementary, but very hard to follow when it comes to being organized. Assignments are everywhere, and some were canceled because she never posted them. I recommend taking this class just for the easy A.

Prof West is a really good professor. She understands that Biology and science in general isn't everyone's major and takes that into account when making her plans and stuff. Labs were easy and you would get out early or once you were done. Her lectures were just her talking then students talking in small groups but pretty pointless

She was a great professor and the class was very interesting. She knows that Biology is not for everyone and makes it very simple for people to understand. She would generally let out class at least 10 minutes early. Her lab assignments were simple most of the time unless it was the online labs which were a lot more difficult.
