You need to make the course easier! But you are a really good teacher.
Cool guy...dropped the course w/o even seing mark on first midterm.THEY'RE HARD!
awesome-tough but well worth it
Great prof, really interesting lectures, fair (but tough) exams
Ken, you're a good doc!
easy midterms-JUST DO THE WORK!
He's such a cool teacher....he makes learning fun!!
Aweome prof! The best there is.
Amazing
Ken, we still don't know how to explain the perception of green!:)

Awesome prof! Makes the information very interesting.
excellent teacher, very helpfull and makes class fun and enjoyable
sexy sexy man!
best prof i've ever had.... learned alot
AN amazing porfessor and the classes are awsome, but the exams KILL YOU
you rock cramer!!!!!!!
Cramer is the most amazing professorI've ever had!! He's sexy and intelligent!!
Great lectures, great teacher, grrrrreat ass!!

The midterms are okay, but the Final is very difficult.
One of the best in the buisness
Ken, next time don't make such essay questions. They were killers!!:D
I LOVED his classes!!! Can't wait to take another!!!
Courses are entertaining at the expense of being effective.
awesome class - midterms sucked

best prof...but hardest exams ever
His lectures made coming to class enjoyable! A real nice guy- tough exams but fair.
Very well taught, quite the professor! Difficult exams.
Cramer rulez! Even He's not Cosmo ;) It was the only class that semester, that I didn't try to find exusses not to go to. Lots of vodeo clips and PowerPoint presentation, later on downloadable (is that how you spell it?) of the web site. ;)))
I wish all profs were like him!!! His classes fly by because they are so interesting and everything you need is on the net!!! GREAT GUY!!!
Very clear but he is a fan of weeding ppl out of the U. He makes his hard so tough that it helps professor Booth weed 1st yr ppl out. Unfortunetly older students get caught in this trap and get screwed.
Great Prof. But though exams,
I love his lectures, they are clear and easy to pay attention to he puts fun pack into the lecture, I was happy with the courses, but the exams were as hard as hell

He is a great and I love his lectures he is the only psyc professor that has enery and looks like he loves to teach. But his exams are way to hard.
Cool guy, gr8 chicks in his class.. cheers!!!!
His teaching is amazing for first year students who are adjusting to University life. It is his teaching and charm that makes him such a good prof. It also makes him cute too.
He is so HOT!!!!
Ken is the best teacher I have ever had. Even in a class of over 100 students he is still just as approachable as if you were the only student. His lectures are interesting and enjoyable. Plus it doesn't hurt that is totally HOT!
Interesting class but HARD EXAMS!! Not very helpful during office hours but he covers a lot in class
He is an awesome teacher! It is the only class that I actually look forward to going too! He actually makes the class interesting!!!
Great teacher! Exams suck, they are way to hard!

good job (i forget the course code)
His lectures are very useful, and interesting. Hard marker and his exams are brutal. Class is essential
I am a 4th year student and I have to admit, Dr. Cramer, along with Dr. Page, are the best professors in the U of W psychology department ... the university should get down and kiss the ground they walk on!
Thanks Dr. Cramer for an awesome semester!
I think I'm the only one who thinks he stinks! He's sooo cheesy and he thinks he's the coolest guy in the world! Horrible dresser!!!!

He covers EVERYTHING you need for midterms and exams. I don't get people that complain about having to go to class to understand everything, you're in university! You're not paying tuition to have him take stuff from a text book that anyone can buy!
Amazing teacher! I never skipped a class. He is interesting, helpful, and incredibly organized. Take his classes!
Hard to get high marks in the essay part of the exam. Even though lectures are fun and interesting, MC are hard. Overall hard prof. Won't curve mark!
Excellent teacher in class....lectures a minimally reflected on examinations. Read text cover to cover.
Very nice guy, approachable, funny and clear, but class notes don't help. READ THE ENTIRE BOOK COVER TO COVER OR YOU WILL FAIL
Couldn't agree more with the comment: READ THE ENTIRE TEXTBOOK! In order to get a good mark, you need to know every sentence in each chapter. I AM NOT LYING
Probably the best professor I've ever had. Made class very interesting and exciting. Tests were definitely not easy, but they were reasonable. It's too bad he doesn't teach intro psych anymore because he was a great prof.
Great teacher. He makes class interesting and interactive and clearly enjoys teaching. The exams are extremely hard so read EVERYTHING...even the captions under the pictures!
Fabulous prof! He is a prof that actually cares about teaching, which is rare! Keeps lectures lively and interesting and draws on many sources. He is still teaching! He's on sabatical now! TAKE HIS CLASSES when he's back!
Great Prof! I loved his little videos he would play. Yes, you need to read the textbook definetly! It's fun to see him at graduation wearing the little outfits the faculty people wear!

AMAZING...Best professor I've ever had
Great teacher who was available to answer questions that students had and had the ability to make learning fun and get the concepts across in many different learning styles. Definitly a great man who hopefully will continue to share his enthusiasim and his intelligence with many more students.
Very nice guy, great teacher, makes class fun to go to. Test are hard tho.
By far the best professor I've ever had.
I'm changed my major because this prof made me like psych so much. His classes are amazing! So interesting, and he seems really into his job.
explains things very well in class, but specifically says what will NOT be on the exam, so that no one studies it, and then thats what makes up 80% of the exam. Its ridiculous. good teacher, but very hard tests, and unfair at times.
Great teacher. Seems to really care about his students learning the material. Tests are very hard and detailed, but you really do learn a lot of neat stuff. Can be a bit intimidating to approach, however, he is really understanding after you start talking to him.
Very interesting class but hard and detailed (but fair) exams. Study hard and you'll get a good mark.
Be vary wary of taking his classes. The exams are murder and it's nearly impossible to pull of a good grade even if you are an A student. I should know I am one and still have a really tough time securing a decent grade in his class.
So I am not the only one disappointed with the grade on the 2nd midterm. I have to agree that he is not the greatest teacher. In class he is entertaining but the exams are not reflective of what is taught & there is no heads up as to what is on the exams. I would not recommend this class if he is teaching it.
Highly over-rated as a professor - entertaining and manic, but quite shallow and self-absorbed... Sort of like watching a somewhat entertaining but meaningless movie.
I can't believe anyone on here would bash Dr. Cramer at all. Great prof, entertaining class. Midterms are moderately difficult at best; try studying for more than an hour. If you're willing to put in even a small amount of work I highly recommend his classes.
Sorry but majority rules here and he is not that spectacular, in fact, I came into the class really interested and now I am not. Exams are extremely hard and I did study for more than an hour. I would not recommend this class if he is teaching.
Best prof i've had this semester. Entertaining enough to keep you awake through his classes. The exams are pretty easy if you've done your studying
the exam didn't reflect alot that we learned and maybe because of the huge class, but he didnt give me the time of day when I sought out help.
Class was okay. The midterm and final were very hard, and I did study for them. Exams should focus on more material covered in class, not a lot of book stuff!
Funny and interesting, but is not HELPFUL AT ALL! His mid-term and final is VERY HARD.I thought I did great on both of them, and when I got it back I got 59% and 55%.It is VERY sad because I took the same Psychology at the College and I got an A, and all the material presented in knew(almost same text too), but yet I ended with a C. I was amazed!!!!
By far, the best professor at the U, highly orgainzed, very clear and straightforward, exams arent as bad as you guys make them seem, do the readings and go to class. He is one of the few bright spots in the psych department, and is also very helpful. I can't say it enough. CRAMER U ROCK!
Awesome professor, very enthusiastic about teaching
His lectures are very informative and engaging - he's a great speaker. But his midterms (and especially the final!) are quite difficult - very detail-oriented. Make sure not to skip one word when reading the textbook.
awesome prof, i did aweful in the class, but that was my bad.
Bein a pshyc professional, you would think he would know that first year psych should be a little easier than what he makes it. I thought your supposed to focuse on the MAIN IDEA, not the details in a text book. I agree, very hard, too hard. First midterm average was in the 50's. However, lectures are awesome.
Cramer is an awesome prof..one of the best on campus, i absolutely love how he puts the lectures online..it's a very good review, I still go to his classes even though the lectures are online because they are soo fun and interesting.. the clickers are a very good idea as well because all our exams are multiple choice so it gives us a nice review.
His midterm and exam were disgustingly difficult. I've never had to read a question over and over again just to figure out what it was asking.
he is ok
awsome class, nice prof. some questions on the midterms/exams are like "did the proffesor every say this during lecture?" so you have to make sure to attend the classes. read the book. I loved the material in the class and Cramer made it even more interesting
Very awsome teacher who is funny and knows what he is talking about :)
Awesome and funny teacher. Very awesome slideshows and great help.
He knows how to teach because he makes the class interesting. I now know that you can make a class boring or u can make it interesting, it dosnt matter. There was a substitute psych prof and he made it soooooooo boring. So this pshyc prof is awesome
Best teacher by far! He is very clear on his concepts and really knows how to make the class interesting, I wish it was longer then 50 min. Watch out for the midterm and final exam, some of his questions can be tricky make sure you read over them a few times!
Cramer is an awsome teacher! Even at 9:30 in the morning he can grab your attention and hold it seemingly without any effort. And he's kinda cute ;)
hot hot hot!!!
overall, a tough teacher but is a fun teacher. gets u involved in the lectures..
Even when the lights are low...I'm still interested...and awake ;)
excellent prof but very Brutal Final Exams (and he would love to hear students say this about him)

My favourite class. Very interesting, and easygoing class, however should not fool you into thinking the finals are easy. :P
Great class, but MT and Final is tough!! You better swallow the book if you want a decent grade.
Great lecturer. Classes fly by because they are fun. People sit in on his classes because they're so fun! But exams are tough.. swallow the text if you want a really good grade.
Dr Cramer uses an awesome blend of movies and powerpoint to get the msg across. People not even in the program come to see the lecture. The midterm and final are tricky and require you to basically memorize the text. Sign up for the lab studies as they take about 45 minutes and give you bonus percentage points.
very overrated. I took from other psychology professors that were very interesting and I learned probably more from them. Just because he uses fancy powerpoint animations for his lectures, doesn't make him a better professor. He's ok I guess.
great prof, but make sure to study :)
Pretty good, tests are hard, but read the book and you will do fine. Pretty good teacher. would love to take the class again with him.
Though he is very charismatic while teaching,he comes across as being very stuck up and full of himself. I didn't respect his "only cover 35% of what is in the text" prerogative, and his overall teaching strategy by using flashy power points with very little actual information on them, tend to attract most of the dumbest students on campus. Beware.
cramer's MT and final are beyond hard basically u have to no where periods are in the text book, but he is a great proff and VERY hottt
highly over-rated, and an example why this rating system does not do a good enough job of discriminating excellent teachers from "entertaining" teachers... arrogance and flashiness is simply not enough, but many students appear to gravitate toward it... the majority can be easily deceived.
Great teacher...interesting lectures...hard exms though!
Very good prof.
he's okay, his exams are too hard. He's one of those...untouchable/plastic people...you can't talk to him for help, he'll tell you what the course guide says. In other words he's like a programmed machine.
He does alot of talking but when it comes down to it, he's not very informative...All the information you'll need is in the text, he's way overrated. Those of you who find him attractive, it must be soley his personality because physically speaknig he's not very flattering. And he tucks his shirt into his pants which are pulled up pretty high LAME
MEMORIZE YOUR TEXTBOOOOK!!!THE BEST ADVICE!!
Great professor, teaches well and makes class interesting. Reading the text and attending class a MUST to do well.
Great teaching, exams are horrible but besides that, really enjoyed! WILL BE MISSED
Interesting, has a real love for psych, and being in front of a classroom.READ, READ, READ
Cramer is really tough to top in terms of lecturing. He's so captivating! I feel lucky to have taken intro psych when he was still teaching it.
I had him for 115, 116 and social psych. loved every minute of it, he's fabulous!
If you are paying for university, then expect to attend class and read the book. Make notes on particular terms and stats that he mentions in class and you will only being doing yourself good. His exams are fair to those who actually put effort into the class. If you meet him halfway, you will do fine. Bonus points from the studies will help out.
Great Lecturer, keeps it interesting, using day to day examples. Current events, movies, books.
A great prof. Yes, he uses fancy powerpoint, but in the end, those things help you remember certain facts so I found it helpful. But make sure to read and understand the textbook though. Exams were rough but the bonus assignments and the overall curve helped immensely. All in all, fair.
Entertaining, visually appealing and informative classes. Tests/exams are VERY brutal. You really have to get down and dirty with the books. He is extremely arrogant and cocky, and even a little mean, but he teaches well.
it was hard to listen to hiim cuz when he wore shorts they were so high that i swear i saw glare and light relfections come off his legs cuz he waxes them or shaves them....i swear....his exams are incredibly hard do the bonus stuff and memorize everything or he will blind you to death with his shiny waxed legs of his...BTW thats not HOT
Well when I first started his class I thought he was amazing and fun. But now I've come to know his true colors. Cocky, arrogant, quite mean, and doesn't seem to care what you have to say. I will definitely take 116 with someone else hopefully. And I definitely agree with the shiny legs, lol. I noticed that too my first day.
Horrible! Class! The man is way to full of himself. I really truly do not understand why he is so praised and loved. Yes he cracks jokes and can be funny at times but as a person he has to be my top 2 most worst profs I have had since going to Windsor.
Cramer is a not a good TEACHER at all! He's smug and arrogant and doesn't want to be bothered. When u ask him a question he's always doing other stuff like looking down at his desk. U can tell he don't care. He only teaches certain things in class and very little of the stuff he teaches in on the exam. He needs to do some work instead of getting st
I found this class to be way too tough for a first year class. Some people were enrolled in the wrong peer scholar assignment and everything was just so confusing. I didnt get replies to my emails until three days later. I would not take this class or any other class witht his proff, ever.
#1 Prof
This class is informative, interesting, and really fun. I took it in 2006, and I can confidently say when I took the class it was my favourite one. The class kinda made university a one of a kind experience.
He's so awesome, I would have loved to take the course again, he is just the best prof EVER. If you have the chance to take another one of Dr. Cramer's courses... DO IT. -Bethany Collins
His mid-term and final are really hard. If you do all the readings and practice tests you will be prepared, for the most part. He likes to throw some curve balls in there. Attend class, it won't hurt your eyes. He likes to add jokes into his lectures. Wakes me up when I have a 9:30am class. Overall great prof, take him if you have the chance.
Love him!!! hes such a great Prof.. makes jokes all the time.. keeps you awake in his lectures.. make sure you bring your clickers to his class for sure... read your readings, and do the my pscyh labs and you do well.. midterms and finals are extremly hard. i don't recomend leaving it last minute
he was a great prof, one that seemed genuinely interested in what he was teaching. he is very approachable and very nice. he makes his lectures fun both for himself and for the students. =)
he was a great prof, one that seemed genuinely interested in what he was teaching. he is very approachable and very nice. he makes his lectures fun both for himself and for the students. =)
Cramer gives you the illusion that he has a great course because he just talks about the interesting stuff and forces you to read and MEMORIZE every tiny detail in the book. many of his exams are irrelevant and incorrect- not hard, just random.
I absolutely loved this class, i was actually very sad when it ended. LOL I thought his lectures were very informative and interesting, it kept me awake at 8:30am! Exams are pretty brutal though!
The material in this course was great. Although a lot of reading it was not bad. MPL,Clicker marks, the paper and participation marks were awesome to have (take advantage). But BEWARE! the midterms and exams are EXTREMELY hard. Make sure you know everything...even things that seem absolutely pointless. That's why he's nicknames "Killer Cramer".
He is very good at what he does.
Entertaining, looks at whole classroom, walks around. NOT BORING! First year university and can say he is the most entertaining professor i've ever had.
Prof. Cramer is amazing! Yeah he plays music but it's not because it's a "dating service".. he likes to make classes fun. And the music relates to what we're learning. If certain people who commented below can't understand that EASY concept, than maybe they ARE throwing away thousands of dollars for nothing. Overall, Cramer is awesome! :)
This is my 2nd course with Prof. Cramer.Everyone who teaches should take lessons from this professor. Classes are never dull and the time flies. To the moron who apparently can't pick up the little ladies seated nearby- Dr. Cramer has never acted anything but professionally in the classroom-so get a life. The day will come when you'll beg for music
This is my 2nd course with Prof. Cramer.Everyone who teaches should take lessons from this professor. Classes are never dull and the time flies. - Dr. Cramer has never acted anything but professionally in the classroom. God forbid a Prof. makes lectures interesting! Some insecure boy has to feel threatened. Deal with your issues elsewhere.
He is hot and the best teacher ever.
I have taken both classes with Cramer and absolutely love him! He is the best professor for psychology and keeps his class not only motivated, but engaged. He provides music to gain the classes attention and humor to keep the content fresh. It also helps students to relate and remember the material more. He's truly the best!
Very entertaining classes; not boring, and definately pay attention because things said in class WILL be on the exam and rated higher than the textbook...really know your stuff... REALLY...
Really funny and entertaining, but a lot of textbook material is covered and also really useless assignments where you grade other people's assignments and the grade that they give you, is your final grade.
very interesting and helpful.
Horrible class. Exams are WAY too hard!
Fantastic prof! He is very approachable and helpful. His lectures are interesting and I always look forward to his classes. DO NOT expect to come out of his class with a good mark if you aren't willing to work for it! You really need to know the material inside and out to do well on his exams. I learned a lot in his class and would take him again!
i love how people on here are saying "beware" & "he's so evil! an awful teacher!" when in reality if you read the textbooks you would realize maybe that's a sign of high self esteem & blaming your failures on external causes. maybe his class wasn't hard; you just didn't try, ergo didn't do well & therefore blame it on him. i loved all his classes!
Hes awesome! Everyone should have a class with him at least once. Very enthusiastic about the subject and he'll make you enthusiastic too. His lectures are so interesting but make sure you take notes on them because stuff he says is on the exam, not just the slides. And read the textbook!
Phenomenal professor. Warm, engaging, and a great lecturer. Has a fantastic sense of humor and goes out of his was to remember his students' names. Really approachable if you have a problem. His exams are hard, but very fair. Best prof I've had at Windsor.
He's a nice Prof, exams are pretty hard :$, He better use book terminology more than relying on his lectures on exams :)
Don't be fooled. He lectures on the most interesting topics and leaves you to read the boring stuff-and tests you on both. If you want to see how he really is, google "UWindsor psychology cheating" and see the fuss he created over a leaked exam bank. Why not make your own questions?
He made lectures interesting and explained the material in a way that made it easy to understand; however, I think his exams are too hard. The questions didn't always pertain to psychology and I found that he picked questions that asked about unimportant details of psychology. I'm not taking a class with him again solely for the sake of my GPA.
Cramer puts a lot of effort in his power point presentation. Make sure you attend every class (write notes and study his lecture notes), attend labs (or ask someone for the information) and read the text book and you should do fine. However, his exams are very hard and sometimes he asks irrelevant questions-study, study, study !
Cramer made every class interesting. Obviously puts a lot of effort into his power points and has a great sense of humour. He's pretty nice to look at too hehe.
meh, he's overrated. and god forbid he take time out and write his own exams. he does know his stuff though, and generally an approachable prof.
Was very helpful! I bought the wrong book with the wrong Pearson access code and I was super bummed because I though I had just wasted around $90 but he gave me one of his copies which came with a Pearson access code, and even let me catch up on all the online work that I missed. I thought that was pretty nice of him.
The best professor I have come across. Always ready to help and studying for the finals were a breeze. Notes were really easy to understand and grasp. Classes never seem long with Prof. Cramer
FAVE prof! I had him for both intro classes and really wish I could've had him for more psych classes. His lectures were not boring at all. He's probably one of the best profs that uofw has. I highly recommend taking his classes!
Not a bad teacher, but not as great as some people say (I'm not really sure how he won awards for his teaching). His classes seem to drag on, although he does try to involve the kids (which can be tough for intro psych). From what I've seen, he likes to change the text every year and stress that you need to buy it. Exams are all MC (pretty easy).
Great teacher. Easy to get a good grade in his class. His exams are m/c and are really tricky, but it's still easy to do good. He is a fair marker. Good lecturer, keeps students awake and listening. I would recommend both psych intro classes with him.
MY FAVOURITE PROFESSOR! It is my first year in psychology and I am in his class. He is a very fun teacher and makes things easy to understand in his lectures . His tests are quite tough, his online tests are eary to help boost your mark. Great Teacher!

A very interesting class, but a middle man to your grade. Lect. are posted online, information is all empirical, and if you're an English major, you'll do well on the exams - pay attention to the way questions are worded. Peer review is annoying because you're graded on grammar and spelling by ppl who are use to ****izing the English language.
His lectures are so much fun! But he also is very clear with the information. It's defiantly worth going to the lectures. The exams are not easy, but he makes it fun to show up to the lectures so that does help alot on the exams.
I didn't really find Cramer to be as good of a prof as I heard he was. He posts his lecture slides online, so I found attending class to be rather pointless. I HATED his jokes with a passion and I never laughed at them. Because I hated his jokes, I tended to tune out during his lectures. I'm doing alright in the course overall, though.
Brutal.Absolutely brutal. Taught this class like we were graduate students, most of it was class presentations and debates, and hardly him lecturing at all, therefore - we taught ourselves the required information from the textbook. Class average was 49% on the midterms, and he had to curve them 10% which is ridiculous for a third year class!
For a T&M class it was hardly that title. Most of it was about theories on whoyoumaycallit. Alot of information just on theories. Bell curve saved us in exam and final grade.
Very great leacturer. If you ever needed any help, he was very approachable. His midterm was really hard, but exam was a little bit easier. Wouldn't say it's a bird course but if you are will to work hard it is very rewarding.
Cramer might be a good lecturer but that's about it. He's definitely way overrated as a professor. He expected too much and tried too hard. It would take at least 2 semesters to understand most of the course content. Exams were brutal considering the monstrous ammount of information we had to memorize. I almost failed and I'll definitely stay away.
He a really good professor, but I found his test hard. He a fun professor to have during class for sure. He give tough love really kind of gives you an idea on what to expect further down i suppose.
Exams are brutal
Exams brutal
Such an incredible teacher. He will make you work for you marks, but there are ample opportunities to do it. There are so many resources, if you're a diligent student, there's no reason why you shouldn't at least do okay. I would not suggest if for any non- Psych majors as it is extremely interesting, but quite heavy as an elective.

Cramer is entertaining, he keeps you listening and interested. You can tell he loves to teach and he excels at it. He will go out of his way for students who require help, and he relates all topics to situations in your life. I made psychology my minor because he made me want to know more.
Dr. Cramer was excellent. He cares about the material and uses examples about how it applies to the real world. His exams are challenging, and based mostly on the textbook. However, he gives you other opportunities to do well in his class. Great prof.
Dr. Cramer is an excellent professor. He is the reason why I chose to continue studying psychology. He is interesting & always uses real-life examples to explain the content. Exams are challenging (in all courses he teaches-- had him for 115 & 116) but if you go to class & read the text, you'll do fine. Papers & Clicker Marks help a lot!
Apart from being a great lecturer, that is all I can "kudos" Cramer for. The amount of information/material needed to study for his exams is unfathomable. The monstrous amount of definitions, etc expected of us to know is unbelievable. His exams are all taken from a test bank from Pearson which are BEYOND difficult. Almost failed...
Cramer is a very good lecturer. His lectures are always fun, interesting, and funny. You have fun when you are in class. However, if you need help outside of class, he is less than helpful. But if you are able to work independantly, and only see him during lectures, then you will love him.
Always loved his classes -- his exams are BRUTAL though!! However, he keeps things interesting and fun.
He's okay.. The lectures are somewhat interesting but his exams are brutal. All of his questions OBVIOUSLY come from a test bank, so it has nothing to do with what he talks about in class. He's completely useless if you need help outside of class. He missed 3 consecutive lectures this semester, and the marks reflected that. 49% for lecture material
Excellent prof. Very interested in what he's teaching. Exams are brutal as everyone says, but he specifically says that 60% is from lecture and 40% from text, and on the exam he shows that. Definitely a great beginner psych prof
Great teacher, great help, definately recommended.
I had him for Intro to psych 115 and I have him this semester for 116. He is the best! He makes lectures so interesting and fun to listen to! I don't even really find the exams to be that hard as long as you understand the course material.
Awesome professor. Lectures are definitely fun to listen to, only bad thing is that they are technically considered extra material to have to study for. There is a ridiculous amount to study for for the midterm and final but your textbook is your best friend in this course. READING IS A MUST. Retain as much information as possible!
Cramer gives fun and interesting lectures. He's very approachable for questions. His exams are difficult if you don't put in the work- you must keep up on readings, notes, taking notes in class. If you are a good student and have good study habits you will do well and enjoy it.
Makes lectures interesting and explains things really well! Approachable and helpful. Awesome prof.
Good prof. Excellent lectures!! Read the textbook and you will do well :)
As long as you read the notes, and know all the terms in the textbook it is an easy class. He is an interesting teacher and makes the class enjoyable.
Amazing teacher! He is so funny and keeps lectures interesting. As long as you go to class and read the assigned chapters you will do really well in this course.
Great lecturer, very enthusiastic. Exams are somewhat difficult, but this is university, exams are supposed to be difficult
was expecting boring lectures, essays and textbook memorizing. After my first class with kramer i would try attending other sections just to listen to his lectures. SO unbelievably interesting. lectures with passion. u will have zero problems staying interested. Read chapters assigned, attend lecture and TAKE NOTES DURING. Easy A + fantastic class
Took Psych 115 and 116 back in 2001. Just thought I would come on here and drop a line about Ken Cramer. He's a great prof and was one of the best I had at Windsor. Today, I am a school teacher in Simcoe County and look up to this man! Thanks for the classes Prof Cramer!
Great professor! His lectures are very clear and he makes psychology very interesting. His tests can be hard, but if you do the work and take the time to read the textbook and take good notes in class, you'll definitely earn an A for sure! Great guy!
Amazing professor, he is very passionate about his teaching. His lectures are very interesting. I wouldn't miss any class though because almost of his exam/midterm questions are from the lectures (different than textbook material). I got to admit though, his exams are HARD. You'll do fine as long as you study, take notes, and attend class
Lots of reading in this class, but great prof! Exams are not hard if you study the textbook and attend all lectures.
This class was ridiculously easy. The textbook read like an interesting novel. Was such a breeze compared to my science classes. I didn't get anything lower than an A in all the 6 psychology courses that I took.
Very enthusiastic, charismatic, and informative lecturer. Every class is captivating and almost life changing, I often left class feeling like I had learned about myself as a person.
He is an excellent lecturer. He doesn't just spew out the facts; he spins a narrative about each theorist that's fun and fascinating. Two midterms, a peer review, and a personality analysis, plus the final. Multiple choice exams are tough. You need the text. Attend classes regularly. Maybe a little full of himself but he has reason to be.
I took his psych 115 class in first year and found it challenging since it was the first time I actually had to do work to succeed coming from highs school. However his personality psych class was amazing! If you read the text, make notes and review the lecture slides you will do fine, I barely went to class after the 1st midterm
If you read the textbook and take good notes, you will do very well.
Great prof!
Really liked going to class, he loves the material and is a great lecturer. On the other hand if you're looking to get a good grade take another profs class because his exams are ridiculous, lecture questions are rarely from the lecture and he pulls the rest of the questions from thin air, read the entire textbook and they weren't from there either
He is an amazing teacher, very clear and tells you exactly what will be on midterms and finals. Very enjoyable to listen to. As long as you read the chapters and make notes and quiz yourself on them you will be fine. If you just go off of the lectures you will not do well at all.
Truly an amazing and well respected professor. Absolutely enjoy his lectures. Not to mention, he's a great guy, super approachable, very knowledgable & passionate. But BEWARE OF HIS EXAMS!!! I recommend this course to psych majors only, it's a very heavy course, lots of readings, extremely tough midterms, although very interesting course overall!
His exams still haunt me until this day
Tough class but goot lectures.
Super interesting and engaging lectures! Made me excited to attend them, but his midterms are horrible. If you have any questions about the material, make sure you go to him; he's really approachable. Also, READ THE TEXTBOOK. Every single page. Most of his questions are the little notes on the sides of the pages.
Interesting lectures :) he has no chill what so ever if you think he cares you didn't study, he will laugh at you.. during midterms he will stand in front of the class smiling at all the people who are gonna fail.. READ AND MEMORIZE THE TEXTBOOK if you wanna do good
I love Cramer, he makes the material very interesting. It is easy to see his passion for this material. He's a very nice guy, but obviously no teacher likes a kid that didn't study. go to every lecture and read the material. If you have a good understanding of the material you'll be fine. He curves A LOT (class average was kinda bad though).
I am honestly shocked at how high of a rating Cramer has. He does not care in the slightest bit about his students and his lectures are extremely boring and hard to sit through. Not to mention his test are nearly impossible to pass, even if you read the textbook as well as the lecture slides. Overall, I do not recommend taking any of his classes.
Dr. Cramer is such a nice guy! I loved his lectures and attending his class. His tests are killer. Memorizing the textbook is almost essential and if you have to choose between lectures and textbook reading, pick the textbook (however I highly recommend attendance because they are pretty interesting). **YOU MUST READ THE TEXTBOOK**
Hardest tester I've ever had, takes the most obscure things and tests on them. You can know all about a study that was conducted and he will ask about what the researcher had for dinner that night instead.
Dr. Cramer is truly an inspirational lecturer. He makes every class interesting to go to as he is such an incredible speaker - really draws you in on even the most boring of topics. His exams are hard but fair for the most part. Definitely have to read the textbook or you won't do well, and I highly recommend going to lectures as well.
It was a true privilege to be taught by such an inspirational and intelligent man. I am now debating on switching my career path due to the amount of interest I have found in psychology thanks to this professor. Hands down best educational experience I have ever encountered.
So you want to pass advanced stats? Start with a pentagram(trust me you'll need it). The lab portions of the midterm and the final aren't bad, it's the multiple choice and the labs where the TAs will tell you to "follow the output" and then deduct you marks for no reason. Passed through sweat, tears and divine intervention(the last one mostly).
I had Cramer for 46-115 and I absolutely loved going to classes and learning the material. He made the material much more interesting then other psych profs that I have had. The tests are easy if you're familiar with the material. RECORD THE LECTURES and attend the SOS sessions!
Truly loved and feel honoured to have been taught by Cramer. Extremely intelligent and very good at what he does. lectures are very engaging. He is charming in his weird dorky way. Although, you have to work for your mark. He wrote the textbook and makes sure it is put to use - if you dont read it you wont pass. tests are heavy on textbook material
hands down one of the worst classes I have ever taken was with Cramer. His lectures are boring and hard to follow, he seems to be all over the map with this lectures. Doesn't matter how hard I studied for the exam, it still rocked me. Absolutely disappointing course.
excellent lecturer!! I found the group projects to be very annoying. you NEED to read the textbook to pass, difficult exams! He is approachable for help.
He does not care about you as a student, his marking is so hard. His exams are FULL of information from the textbook but his exams are so hard you will open it up and think, "Did I even study the right chapter?" HARDEST EXAMS EVER!!!!
AMAZING prof! His lectures are incredibly interesting, easy to pay attention to, and as long as you put in a bit of effort you will do well! Make sure to read the textbook, and just pay attention in class)
Make sure to study the side notes in the textbook for exams. He will test you on every bit of minutia on the most obscure topics. His lectures don't make up for the fact that his exams are ludicrous.
Very disappointing. Picks the most rare topics with no relevance to anything and tests you on it. Hes a great speaker in class but something feels off when you email or see him or the TAs for help in person. Avoid if you can.
Cramer is a miserable character.
Dr. Ken is very intelligent and VERY generous with grades. The lectures are interesting and he's got his own style. His only problem is the unnecessarily difficult tests; they're not about understanding but rather about memorizing the textbook & especially the insignificant things. If you don't attend the lecture you won't do well.
I'm not smart but I'm not dumb either and I studied the text and slides for 20 + hours for his final and got a 68. The amount of times I stopped throughout writing the final and said to myself, "did he even mention anything about this ever?!" was more than once. His exams are irrelevant to education.
The worst! Slimy prof.
Hard class. Read and memorize EVERYTHING and don't ask for help because he doesn't care. Tests are unnecessary hard and unfair and you can expect your mark to drop at least 10-15%. Honestly not worth it.
If you've ever dreamed of a career in psychology but not sure if it is what you want, all you need to do is to attend a lecture of ken Cramer. He will bore you out of it in the first 10 minuets. If you are genuinely into psychology bring weed with you only stoners finds his class very interesting.
Honestly the best prof I've had. Nice, funny, great lectures, fair testing. Make sure you buy the textbook though.
Cramer tells unfunny sexually explicit jokes in his classrooms. I have attened his classes for the full semester and it was riddled with references he would make to the material in a sexual nature although there being no correlation between the topics. He also does not care for students or the UOW, being on the phone more than his students.
My experience in this class was OK, I enjoyed the material but prof was average. Even though I put full effort into the class and did well, I didn't really care for it. TBH I don't think I would choose this prof again. Ordinary is the best word to describe this course.
Worst professor I have ever had. His tests are absolutely ridiculous. I studied for 3 weeks prior to his exam, and still failed and I have a 90 average in all other classes. You're better off not studying; he chooses the most random topics and tests you on them. The amount of times I wondered if he even mentioned the question was ludicrous. Avoid!
Just finished the final exam tonight, thank goodness this class is over! Exam felt so random, TBH I am not sure where he got the material from. I would not recommend this prof to anybody. That's 4 months of my life that I can't get back!
Hardest exams. Friends be warned his exams will haunt you forever.
I took this course upon recommendation of a fellow student, and I have to say that I was utterly disappointed. I found the lectures simple-minded and unimaginative and the final exam felt disconnected from the the course material that was covered. Very disappointed with the professor, and on top of that he made me feel very uncomfortable.
Ken Cramer is a mentally ill person. He is exams are designed to fail as much students as possible. His lectures are boring and full of useless information that he is going to ask about in exams like what was the name of the magazine that published some article ?
This class was like legit the worst class I have every taken in my entire life! The prof is creepy, the course was awful, and the final made like no sense!! We didnt even go over half this stuff in lecture, so stupid! Prof always looked at me weird to, so gross. Never taking a course with this prof again.
Alright, il keep this brief as possible. Is this a prof you want? No. Pretty much useless in every aspect of teaching, and when it comes down to exams, nothing that he teaches on the power points are on the exam. Is he generous? Il give you an example. I needed a 60. He gave me a 59 and pointed that he was generous from bumping my mark from 58.89.
worst . prof . ever . i am not kidding you have been warned & if you can swap the course you need with a different prof, please do it
I average mid-high 80s, i worked my butt off in Cramer's class and walked away with a 79%. I studied at least 20 hours per exam, NEVER missed a class, and yes the material on the exam is ridiculous and unfair. When i approached him to bump up my mark to 80% he re-routed me to his G.A, who was very rude. I would never take his class again.
He's a tough grader but he's fair. Anything from the textbook is fair game. He gives lots of opportunities for marks and is clear in his expectations. Don't slack off, go to class, read the textbook, and you'll be fine.
Talented lecturer but I get the impression he's not really that bright although he thinks alot of himself. It was uncomfortable being around him when I saw him in office hours.
Dr. Cramer is the best! He's by far the fairest prof at the u, has clear grading criteria, and his lectures are engaging! It's a university class, you need to read/study from the textbook - it's a given. There were no surprises on his exams as the questions came directly from lecture/textbook. STUDY THE BOOK. ATTEND CLASS. THAT'S IT.
great :)
Cramer is a great prof. His lectures are super interesting and engaging which makes you actually want to go to them. He's pretty good for giving you hints on what lecture material you will be tested on. You must thoroughly read the textbook as most of the exam material is on that. I showed up to most classes, read the textbook, and I ended 73%.
Do no take this course, Cramer is good guy but his course only has 4 midterms (25% each) no assignment, no papers. The tests are designed to make you fail, and he expects you to know too much info - His slides and the textbook, then tests on the smallest info that you wouldnt remember. DO NOT TAKE
Fantastic. Loved coming to his lectures, because he was so interesting. He knew what he was talking about and it shows. He is really funny and walks around during lecture which keeps you involved. He's got some interesting examples that make you laugh and that help you remember things for the exams. Can't wait to take another class taught by him!
In to what he is teaching but the four midterms have out of the box and difficult content that at times will barely pertain to what you've learned or read. Lots of reading and lots of useless info on the midterms.
If anyone can keep me awake during a 3 hour lecture, it's Cramer. He knows how to keep the class involved and he is hilarious. The midterms are extremely hard and the text book chapters are very long, but it is a university course, what do you expect. It is is difficult to get a high mark in his class, despite how much you study, but overall okay.
Honestly, idk why people say PSYC 1150 is hard... all assignments are curved like at least 8%, the exam was curved 12%. Yes, the midterms are hard and specific but honestly study and you'll do well, he asks stuff straight out of the textbook and lectures, plus if you do the study pool you get an extra 3%, I finished this course with a 98%.
I'm not going to lie, Cramer's class isn't an easy one. He is, however, very engaging and gives a lot of breaks, so make sure to show up. He also asks questions from lectures in the midterms and final, so be warned, it is both textbook AND lecture heavy.
Kenneth Cramer is fantastic. At pretending. The intro course with him consisted of poorly formulated jokes which he just couldn't help making sensual. PSYCH1150? More like BIO1105. The man would be on his phone more than his students, showing how much he truly cares. Fantastic actor - you will hear it in his tone. Best wishes.
Very enthusiastic about course material, which makes class more lively and worth attending. Students are responsible for all textbook material that is not covered in class, however, it allows you to gain a better understanding of the material rather than just copying and pasting off slides. He is understanding and was always helpful.
Honestly, Ken Cramer is one of my absolute favourite profs on this campus. He's so educated in EVERY course he teaches, and it actually makes him interesting to listen too, especially during this fall 2020 semester as the courses are online. Podcasts can sometimes get very boring... but Not this guy.
Took Online Psych as a social science through the summer posted pre-recorded lectures with coordinating chapters of the book and was left to learn on your own midterm and final was fairly easy with a little studying.
I love dr. Cramer! I have him for two of my classes this semester and they are by far my favourites. He actually teaches and doesnt just make you read. Makes lectures interesting and is quick at answering emails (plus he actually answers your questions). I really hope I get him again for a future class!
Lectures were a waste of time, just read the textbook. Exams were marked very hard based on vague instructions.
Dr. Cramer is very knowledgeable. I've done well in his classes but the marking scheme is unfair. Not sure if it was like this before COVID, but since courses have been online his midterms are 50% and finals 50%. His GA's mark both and they're EXTREMELY picky. The word limit per page is inappropriate for how much information they expect from you.
Awful professor. Seriously, you're warned if you are reading this now. STAY away! He recycles his pre-recorded lectures, and gives you minimal time to do a m/c exam. Good luck getting through it, even if you read everything and take notes because he lists 6-7 answers per wordy question. I would drop the program if he was the only prof...
Cramer's lectures are very engaging and important to attend. A majority of the questions are based off of the textbook and a decent percentage of them are from the lectures. ALSO the textbook has a lot to read. That being said, his exams are extremely difficult and the class average was a 65% for both midterm #1 and midterm #2.
Dr. Cramer is a great prof... do not listen to these other ratings. His exams are completely fair and based directly on the textbook, if you read and take good notes you will be more than fine. His exams are about 80% textbook questions and 20% lecture questions. He is also super funny and the most interesting prof to listen to. Do not stress!
Lectures were good but almost pointless as exams were mostly based on textbook material. If you don't have a great memory, you may not have the best grades.
His exams are horrific
This was by far the WORST class experience I have EVER had. The fact that I payed to take this class is a joke. Lazy, uncaring professor with horrific exams. I am a straight A student who reads the material and studies hard and I still can't seem to hold a good grade in this class.
The exams are unrelated to course material and if you don't memorize the text verbatim you won't do well. The course was online and he made all exams way too challenging to make up for it being open book. Dont take classes with him if possible
this man does not know how to teach I'm being so serious. thinks he's witty and funny by adding jokes here and there to lectures meanwhile his exams are so uncorrelated with course material and if u don't copy certain things word for word u get a crappy mark. save ur money and energy and find another prof who teaches the same class
I would not have this professor again if it were up to me. He tests HEAVILY on the textbook and lectures are essentially pointless. Also, when asking him for help, expect to be told "This is an inconvenience". The textbook taught me more than the professor did. Avoid if you can.
Professor Cramer's class is challenging but rewarding. The exams are tough, but attending lectures and using resources like unstuckstudy ai can really help. Overall, it's a worthwhile class if you're willing to put in the work.
awful. just awful. think twice before enrolling in his class. ken if ur reading this, do better
So unorganized and awful. the format for our final exam is so nauseating and i actually would never take a cramer course again.
In my three years of University, Dr. Cramer is a nightmare of a prof. I highly recommend avoiding any class with him, if possible. The second I watched his first lecture, I understood zero of what he was talking about, it's incredibly irrelevant to what he tests you on. Also, his online midterms have barely any time. I'm happy its over.
Dr. Cramer was wonderful to have! lectures are interesting and engaging. tests can be difficult, but if you attend class, take good notes, and read the textbook you should do relatively well. offers options for extra credit too which are accessible and relatively easy. provided textbook through brightspace which was a dream! overall great prof!
funny and nice in class. started semester with hopes for a good experience. lectures aren't reflective of what's on exam. exams are difficult and you really can not study enough for it. labs are difficult and not worth the time spent on them
Dr. Cramer is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the course material. His relatable analogies in relation to definitions were very helpful for better understanding, all with a sense of humour! The tests were drawn from both the textbook and lecture, which required a LOT of at-home reading and mandatory attendance. Would take again. :)
This course was so interesting! Dr. Cramer's lectures were always interesting and could hold your attention for the entire class. The midterms were not difficult, but definitely make sure that you read the assigned textbook chapters. It was usually 3 chapters per unit, so the readings for this class didn't consume every waking minute. Great class!
Wort professor ever, I have never met someone that overcomplicates everything. The exams were extremely specific and included details that were absolutely irrelevant to psychology. Lectures are useless, since the whole exam is from the textbook. I was interested in learning psychology before starting the course but now I'm not. Thanks.
his lectures are definitely engaging but he cares a lot more about the textbook. midterms and exam will be like 80% material from the textbook that youre expected to dedicate all your time to reading lol. take notes on the textbook, study them, and you'll do fine. ive heard interesting things about him as a person.. but he has fun lectures lol
Dr. Cramer was a great professor! He always gave amazing and interesting lectures, and made them interactive at times too. However, the majority of his tests (midterms + final) are completely based on textbook material, so it is very important that you read the assigned chapters before the tests. If you do, his exams are very manageable!
Dr. Cramer has some great lectures and is passionate about his field, going to his lectures is mandatory and you'll need a lot of rigorous notetaking, reading the textbook is also a must as his exams are very specific questions. If youre ready to read a lot and put in the work you'll be fine in his class
