Very nice guy, very helpful and available to students. Chemistry classes are hard but if you study you will be fine. Great teacher. Awesome advisor. Funny, too.
I agree with the previous comment. Very enthusiastic and skillful teacher. This is a difficult class, but he made it as easy as it possibly can be.
great guy, great teacher, great advisor... take this class.
Seriously one of the best Chemistry teacher's I've had. Dr. Goldsby is really clear and makes sure you understand concepts as opposed to memorizing numbers and methods. Also really funny. The class is hard, you have to do all the work and studying, but it's worth it. Highly rated and recommended!
Dr. G is one of the best professor/teachers I've ever had (and I'm working on my Ph.D now because of him, I've taken ALOT of classes). He saved my academic life from destruction by being there as a great advisor as well. You would be well served to take any class from him or better yet work in his lab!
He was such a great teacher, absolutely loved his class. However it is not a breeze you have to be willing to work, but Dr. Goldsby will help you very much if you ask for it. Great Class. Great Guy. TAKE THIS CLASS. I don't even like chemistry and he made it interesting, as much as anyone could.
Dr. Goldsby is the best teacher I have ever had. He tries to make class very interesting. Also, go to his office hours. That is where I go loads of help. It is easier to understand the material when you can discuss it with him. He will find a way to help you understand Chemistry. He is enthusiastic and funny. You will absolutely enjoy his class.
If you can, take Dr. Goldsby for any Chemistry course that you can. He is absolutely an amazing teacher. I wish I could have him for all of my classes. The material is hard, but he tries to help you to understand it the best he can.
He's such a nice guy. He's really fun and tries really hard to make Chemistry fun. He works really hard, and likes to blow stuff up in class to keep your attention. He knows a lot about chemistry and is willing to do anything to help the class. His tests are fair and he's a good guy. Very highly recommended!
He is AWESOME!!Goldsby makes every class funny-- he will make sure that you learn everything! he is an amazing professor!
amazing teacher! definitely gets the point across and wants you to do well in his class. he even has QandA sessions before each exam!he's always available to help you and responds to emails extremely quick. does not use powerpoint, instead writes out and goes slow so you can understand what he teaches. GREATTTTT TEACHER!
I had no interest in chemistry before entering that class and because of Goldsby, it was my absolute favorite class of the entire year. He makes the material fun, interesting, and easy to understand. Go to class, because he is worth it. He likes to make jokes too!!
Ok, Dr. Goldsby is one of the best chem teachers you can have. He will make you UNDERSTAND the material. One thing i did'nt like about his class was that he never made us memorize things that could be important in the future. Other than that i love his tests, they are what i like to call "clever" tests :D. He's a very helpful guy and time flies.
All I have to say is: He is brilliant!
Best professor I have ever had! He cares so much about his students and really will do anything he can to help them succeed. The material you have to learn can be difficult, but he is such a wonderful teacher and teaches from some many different prospective, that you are well prepared for his test! I have never learned so much in a class!
He was a good professor, but often skipped over information that he felt should have been review- even when most people had no clue what he was talking about. Lectures were relatively interesting, but he went on too many tangents. Taught concepts in class, not always how to do the problems, which is slightly infuriating, especially w/ARIS homework.
Absolutely the best professor I have ever had. Dr. Goldsby is amazing! If you have to take chemistry, you need to take it with him. He is so helpful and really wants his students to do well in the class. The tests are challenging, but he always applies a 'curve' in which the majority of the students end up getting A's and B's in the class.
Really clear and understanding guy. Makes class extremely fun but remember its chemistry so go to class n participate
Goldsby is a good teacher. His lectures are as interesting as chemistry can be. Struggled to make B. He makes the tests hard. There's always a problem that pushes you. And HW is difficult. Get a group together to figure out hw and study to pass. Study the notes and hw problems for tests. Study book to know concepts.
He is easy but at times he tends to go over things very briskly and not go as in depth as the material he puts on the tests. That being said, he is very interesting and the class is very do-able. Can easily get an A if you put effort in studying.
I came in not knowing a bit about chemistry, but Goldsby inspired me to learn so much. He's a great instructor and always helps you outside of class. It's not an easy course if you don't put in the effort to learn. You need to go to office hrs and work with others to understand the material. It's helpful to read the book before class and do hw prob
Amazing teacher! He really wants you to do well, and is more than willing to help those who ask for it. Tests are challenging but if you do the homework and study you will do fine (:
HANDS DOWN BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!!!
BEST CHEMISTRY TEACHER!!! This was my first time having Goldsby and I wish I could have him for the rest of my classes! His lectures are very clear and he doesn't require attendance but appreciates it. We didn't use the book, he writes notes on the white board. Strongly recommended!
Excellent. Some professors are really into research. His passion is teaching, and its obvious how much he cares. He clearly states what you are expected to know for the exams via the homework. Very approachable. He sometimes makes mistakes in class, but they're usually minor. Full of cheesy jokes to keep you alert and interested.
I took his honors chemistry class, and his test were more difficult than what he taught in lectures. I would not have gotten a B if I had been in a regular class, and since honors classes do not get extra GPA points, I don't think it is fair that the class was more difficult.
BEST professor I have ever had, hands down. His tests are difficult but he prepares you for everything, and if you go to class and recitation, you'll do well.
Hands down the best professor of my whole college career. His class isn't easy, but he makes you want to learn. Definateley go to his office hours. I wish he thought more classes
one of the best teachers i've ever encountered. also, he's pretty cute.
Who could've guessed that chemistry could be so interesting and entertaining? Enjoy lots of demonstrations and funny stories. This guy is top notch when it comes to teaching. I recommend that you go to office hours frequently for help if you want an A.
He is extremely kind, funny, approachable, and helpful. HOWEVER, I think he went over the notes way too fast. The exams were also VERY hard.
Dont take his class he goes to fast and he writes his notes out that are hard to comprehend because they're all over the place. His tests are pretty hard to. I suggest Hoda Mirafzal, much better professor.
Goldsby is a dorky, easy going guy with a corny sense of humor. His lectures are difficult to follow some days, but he holds many office hours and does better one on one. The course isn't hard if you try and practice. I didn't open the book until I tried and it helped a great deal. The exams are worded heavy but look past it and you're fine.
Prof. Goldsby is one of the best chemistry professor at Fsu. He truly cares about his students and answer any questions you have in great detail. Now his class isn't a class you can breeze by in, but if you do put in the work you will be extremely knowledgeable when it comes to chemistry. Take the class!
The man is a genius. He stepped down from higher chemistry classes and taught Chem I and did an excellent job. Although the class was difficult at time he held plenty of office hours for help.
He is a super nice guy, but if you don't have any chemistry background... you're literally going to suffer and hate life throughout the entire course. Half the time I couldn't even tell my tutor what we were doing because he was so unorganized and all over the place. But he tries his best to help you at office hours and is super funny and friendly!
He's really funny and enthusiastic. However, his teaching method is indirect. So he'll never say "this is the question, this is how to solve it". I liked his lectures, but the tests were awful because he's so disorganized. The exams are just long, confusing word problems that he throws together. One exam was even missing a whole third of a problem!
GO TO OFFICE HOURS! Although the class seems rough at first, he helps you A LOT with your grade and makes sure that you understand the material. Corresponding lab was SUPER easy and actually fun. Take advantage of his office hours & Q&A's before exams! Great professor who means well.
Horrible professor. Literally doesn't know how to teach. Class is crazy hard because he gives super hard tests without teaching you ANYTHING. Avoid at all costs.
This class IS NOT HARD! He is a way better teacher in office hours. Go to them! If you do this and take time to study a few hours for the tests, you will get an A.
He is the worst professor i will ever have. He always goes off topic and he always bores you. He isn't funny and i feel like i didn't learn any Chemistry at all. Very Disorganized
Barely used Blackboard.
He excelled at only teaching certain topics. Majority of the time, however, he was disorganized and indirect. Your grade requires a lot of personal effort and less reliance on what is "taught" in class. I went to class for attendance points then set aside time to teach myself the material. I realized too late how to study for a Goldsby class.
I took him for Chem 2 and found this class to be pretty difficult. His practice exams and actual exams were NOT similar and he put 2 whole pages on our 3rd exam that so much of the class got wrong that he had to completely discount them. Goes off topic a lot.. Disorganized and I found office hours to be very scattered and confusing Take de prince
Goldsby is an amazing professor. He wants students to understand the concepts more than the math. It does make the homework and tests much more difficult bc the lectures are concept, tests are math. GO TO OFFICE HOURS! He has a wonderful personality, wants to help in any way possible, even rented Fisher after hours to study for finals. Sweetheart!
Goldsby is a fantastic professor. I barely got a B in chem 1, but worked hard and went to his office hours and finished with an A. Show him you work hard and that you're improving and he'll notice. Definitely recommend. Read before class!!!
Dr. Goldsby tried his best at teaching but he was not good at all. He assumes that you know a lot of chemistry before coming into his class. Except to teach yourself everything. On the bright side, he does not grade the tests very difficulty and really wants everyone to do well.
Worst professor I have ever had. He makes absolutely no sense in his teaching because he is so disorganized. He constantly goes off topic and does not prepare you for his tests at all. I do go to class even though it is not mandatory but I honestly find there is no point. He is clearly a very smart guy and is very nice, but he cannot teach at all.
Attendance not mandatory, but iClicker points are part of your grade, so go most of the time. I never learned much in class. Recitation and self teaching taught me most everything. Tests are difficult but easily passable with studying and he gives as much credit as possible. Homework is very easy with multiple chances. Decent of amount of selfteach
Apparently got harder from last semester (according to others that took him for CHM1045). Goldsby, while jokes around in class about his personal life that ties in NO relevance to chemistry, is quite nasty during office hours. He thinks we are all full blown chemists and should know how his mind works, but we're just students. Beware of this class.
Goldsby is for the most part a good teacher, if anything he likes to go too into detail of concepts that you need to know for the test, and it typically confuses people. But just study all his old tests, and do everything - clicker points, notebook, recitation, paper, and tests and you'll be fine. Don't be afraid to show up at office hours.
Goldsby is honestly the worst teacher I've ever taken in my life. He does not curve at all. He does not care if you are doing bad in the course, he does not teach. I literally had to teach myself everything. He has "office hours"but never there. If you want a descent grade in chemistry DO NOT TAKE GOLDSBY.
You can never be truly prepared for the tests.
Dr. Goldsby is a great guy, but not a great professor. He's pretty unorganized when it comes to grading and getting exam scores back in a reasonable amount of time. If you don't have a background in chemistry, it's probably best to take a different professor, as Dr. Goldsby caters to those who already know what to do, and neglects those who don't.
Goldsby cares so much about his students, but you never can be fully prepared for his exams. Super nice guy, but not the best teacher.
I passed Chem 2 with an A a semester after taking it with Golsby. He's not a good teacher, and is very hard to understand. Wait to take chem 2 unless prof carnevale is available
I loved Dr. Goldsby. If you want to do well: pay attention in class (notes aren't that important, but write down concepts), ALWAYS do the hw packets and past exams, go to office hours with questions, and go to the Q&A. Do the work. It's not that hard. Exam questions can be quite conceptual, but if you get the general idea they're more than doable.
Great guy, and clearly very intelligent, okay teacher. He cares about his students more than any other professor I've ever had. Really easy to talk to and understanding. Study, do his homework problems and you'll do great. Very conceptual exams.
Goldsby is truly a good professor. People say he's hard to follow, but that's because those people just sit in class on their phones. If you actually listen to his lectures, they're extremely straightforward. He's a funny guy and genuinely cares about his students. Take advantage of office hours!
Worst professor I've ever had. I got higher grades on exams after not going to any of his lectures than when I did. Don't expect him to teach you anything, he talks about random things for the whole lecture then will occasionally through in one relevant piece of information. Expect to have to teach yourself. Need prior chem knowledge to do well.
how to pass this class: read the textbook. Do the homework immediately. Take all questions to office hours/recitation. If needed, redo the homework. I have never had a more caring professor. His exams have a very unique element to them. Find the unnecessary info and cut it out. I've never done this well in a class. Dallas was a great TA. So fun.
Good guy, horrible teacher. His lectures are useless. Goldsby often runs off on tangents and does not get straight to the point. The ENTIRE class is based on the four tests you take, so if you do bad on one, you're in a bad spot. If you take this class MAKE SURE you go to the P.A.S.S. study sessions or else you will have a hard time.
He gets a lot of hate but his class is overall very fun to be in. He gives a lot of information when you take the exams and there is no homework or quizzes. If you are a good test taker you should be fine. But do the homework! The problems on the homework are the same as the exams so it definitely helps! He is a very cool guy.
Dr. Goldsby is a wonderful human being. But his lectures are somewhat pointless because he gets off topic a lot- so not a lot chemistry is learned. Grade is based on 3 tests and a final so if you don't do well on one then your grade suffers
Goldsby is a great person and professor. Anyone who says otherwise either never shows up to class or never takes advantage of office hours. Although his lectures may not great, if you see him in office hours you WILL see improvements in your test grades because of how helpful he is. Also do all of the HW problems, they are a must to do well.
If the only chemistry experience you have is one class in high school, you're in the wrong place. Goldsby claims tutoring isn't suited to helping students better understand the material- your best bet for help is him, your TA or a really good study group. No recitation quizzes and the homework is not always accurate to what's on the exams.
He's a very nice teacher, but he is a bit airheaded. He goes on tangents a lot too. Overall he tries to make his class as useful as possible. You don't have to memorize anything for his exams, but your entire grade is made up of just the exams and the final. As long as you understand the homework you should pass
He was behind the lab the entire semester, putting the majority of his kids at a SERIOUS disadvantage. I had to learn everything from Dr. Dillon, the lab professor, before I would go to his lecture every Monday. He is very unprofessional and irresponsible, and doesn't answer student emails /:
Dr. Goldsby is the NICEST PROFESSOR at FSU. Truly cares so much for his students. 10000% GO TO OFFICE HOURS, he will help you for hours and other students go who will help you also! I wish I went from the start of the semester, I would probably have gotten an A. Also disregard the awful comment, he is scattered in class but will clear it up in OH!
I had goldsby for chem 1 & 2. I went in with no chem knowledge and came out with a lot! His lectures aren't the best, but going is still helpful. If you do the hw (not required) it will prepare you for the tests. He really wants all his students to succeed & will try to help u. Go to his office hours. They're so helpful plus he's so nice and funny.
By far my favorite professor at FSU as he cares so much for his students. The homework and recitation are not required but I highly recommend them to do well. He hosts Q&A sessions before the exams and lab help sessions, because he understands that the lab is faster paced than the lecture. Attendance is not required but I encourage going.
Big oof. I took Dr. Kearley for chem 1 which is the only reason why I survived chem 2 with Goldsby. Horrible lectures. They are not even worth going to. Very unclear as to what will be on exams. Unclear grading criteria. Never entered any grades into canvas. Try to avoid at all costs if you value your sanity. Pretty easy exams though
His class is shaped around 3 exams and a final, with one liberal arts assignment- worth nothing much. Although he doesn't grade if you did the homework, doing the online homework is the only way to pass the exams. Attend his office hours, ask questions cause he's better there than at lecture, go to recitation and pay attention to your TA's.
I never learned a thing in his lectures. He never stayed on topic and always talked about something way more advanced. He was always weeks behind the lab too. He assumes that we know everything about chemistry before this class so he skips going into detail. Everything I learned was from the hw and recitation. Do those or you will struggle heavily.
I did more work in this 1000 level introductory class to chemistry than I did in my 3000 and 4000 level classes. Goldsby rarely lectures about chemistry, but rather runs on tangents about random crap. If you go to lecture and study your notes, you wont come close to passing his class. Always waits until the last minute to grade. Do NOT take him.
Goldsby is so nice but ridiculously disorganized. His lectures are entertaining, but he says one actual chemistry thing a lecture. If you can do the (optional) online homework, you can do the tests just fine. Office hours are a must. He will work the same problem with you over and over and not make you feel stupid about it. Also, he's hilarious.
Don't take Goldsby if you don't have a good background in Chemistry. His lectures are awful and he goes off on tangents unrelated to what we're learning. Recitation is helpful because we do worksheets, but Goldsby doesn't allow our TAs to work out problems or answer questions because he says "we should argue amongst ourselves" Take anyone else.
Goldsby's lectures are not the most helpful but the class itself isn't terrible. The exams are very similar to the homework problems so if you learn the information on those you're golden for the exams. I had him for 1045 and 1046 because he is a genuinely good guy and I did enoy his class despite his slight disorganization.
Great guy, super nice and funny, but exceptionally disorganized. Lectures are useless if you actually want to learn. Goes off on tangents and wastes class time so just hope you have a good TA. This guy knows chemistry but he doesn't know how to teach it. Office hours might help, but if possible, just take someone else for chem.
Goldsby knows what he is talking about, but doesn't teach very well. His lectures are hard to follow so don't rely on those for all the information you need. Office hours and the optional homework problems are a must if you want to pass this class. Overall, only take his class if you are ready to work for a good grade.
The only reason I rated him a 3 is because he is really nice and caring. However, as a teacher, he is not good and I did not learn a thing the entire semester. He gets off track a lot and I never felt prepared for the test.
Never rated on here, but I had to for Goldsby. He'll change syllabus dates regularly, refuses to use canvas, doesn't structure exams properly, lectures horribly, and never updates grades. He doesn't have a course plan so you never know what you're supposed to be learning but you have to rely on the textbook to pass. I only did well bc of this.
the class is grades by three tests and a final so be aware of that. He posts the textbook on his website and homework is optional as well. Content is given in class and the practice problems are in recitation. Be sure to get a good TA. Goldsby is very easy going and understanding.
Goldsby really cares about his students and thats why I gave him a 3. I haven't learned anything in this course because he goes off on tangents every 5 minutes of lecture. He does provide hw on his website thats not for a grade but its the only way to pass. Hw is difficult because he doesn't teach but it's set up like test. Do not take if possible!
Goldsby is a nice guy, but not a good professor. His lectures are difficult to follow, even if you pay 100% attention. He often talks about things other than chemistry and doesn't seem to get a lot done. When classes switched to online due to the virus, we wouldn't know when exams were or what they were on until two days before. Stressful!!!!
Takes a long time to submit grades and his lectures are tangents that are about chemistry (or so I think they are) but little to nothing to do with what will the on the exams. His homework usually reflects what will be on the exams, but sometimes not really. Goldsby knows his stuff but is extremely disorganized and does not update his syllabus.
Lectures are worthless. Youre better off reading the textbook and doing the homework problems on your own. Hes extremely slow with grading. I used to tell myself that hes trying his best, but theres really no excuse for how poor of a quality the education I received this semester was. Dont waste your time. Take literally anyone else.
Avoid him if you can. He's rude. Lectures were a complete waste of time. Exams weren't bad but you have to teach yourself the material. He also messed up big time on grades this semester. It's 2 weeks after the semester ended and he's still going through exams and correcting mistakes and resubmitting grades to the university. A complete nightmare.
Goldsby is just not a good teacher. It's hard to find a good Chem prof at FSU so good luck. His lectures are incredibly boring, hard to follow, and often have nothing to do with test material. Only scraped by with a B due to the transition to online teaching for Corona.
I came into Ken Goldsby's class hearing he was not a great option. Throughout my time in his class, I noticed a few things of why people might say these things. His lectures were very hard for me to learn anything from. However, the extra lectures and the recitations carried me heavily through the class. He's a lovable funny guy!
Goldsby did not handle the Zoom transition well. He did a very poor job of teaching and I learned very little from this class. We spent large portions of our zoom classes with he and other students arguing. He didn't get any exam grades into canvas aside from the first exam until the last few weeks of class. go to office hours or fail.
Given there aren't a ton of great chem professors, I gave Goldsby a 4 because I would pick him out of all the options. Online lectures haven't been great, but office hours and the lecture days before exams prove helpful. The textbook, Organic Chemistry Tutor videos, and his homework problems (not worth anything) will be your best friends.
Avoid him at all costs. His lectures did not help me at all, he is very disorganized, an extremely slow grader and will miss his own deadlines regularly. If he says he'll grade a test by Monday, expect it by Friday. And it feels like he was not prepared at all to transition to online learning. Only good thing I can say is he is a nice person
He is a nice guy. Helped a lot with grades by dropping questions. However! he talks too much off topic and is very hard to follow. If you ask a question the answer might take 20 minutes and you will still not know.
Prepare to teach yourself the information. Goldsby is a funny and caring person, he just cant teach.
He a nice person but extremely disorganized. I would say that he doesnt grades test in appropriate amount of time.I honestly didnt know my grade in the class until grades were post on myFSU which was annoying. He waited last minute to grade everything.
Dr. Goldsby is a nice person but the online format does not work well for him. His lectures aren't worth attending because he goes off on so many tangents. His test are insanely hard. I am only passing because he gives a hefty curve. He also drops the lowest grade. Do his homework problems and get a tutor early . Take anyone else
I have no nice things to say. I am a straight A student, but nearly failed this class. He does not take his job seriously, does not teach, and jokes about his "failing marriage" the entire class. He also brags about how he can never get fired because he has tenure. He doesn't respond to emails and is never in his office and says its "because i can"
Dont take
Honestly I learned the majority of the material from my recitation class. Dr. Goldsby sometimes briefly touches on material and then moves on. Sometimes its hard to understand since he goes from topic to topic spontaneously. The class is doable though, and he curves exams.
He is nice. Lectures make no sense and are not worth attending. Tests aren't too hard but are hard to study for because resources are never posted until the last minute. This man has the worst time management ive ever experienced from a proff. Good luck figuring out ur grade before the end of the semester, its finals and i have 1/2 tests put in.
Not sure where to begin with this review. I can say this class is DO ABLE. You will not learn a single thing in lecture, you have to teach yourself, get a tutor, or use the internet to learn. 3 tests and a final, curves heavy. Writing this review I have no idea what my grade is yet. He is a great guy but does not teach lol. go to recitation!
He is a nice guy just cant teach, you'll have to teach yourself off the hw he gives that is not graded fyi, the grades only come from 3 exams and a final.
He cant teach, goes off into random tangents in the middle of lecture. Kind guy but youll have to teach yourself
Take with someone else if possible
Listen to ratings. His lectures are unorganized and only loosely related to content. Tests make up the entire grade. Even students who go to office hours and study thoroughly walk away from tests having never seen some of the problems before. He’s a nice guy but a clueless professor who doesn’t give students proper resources to succeed in chem.
You literally have to teach yourself. He's a good guy, but the number of tangents and other topics he discusses in lecture OTHER than the actual lesson is incredible. There's no use in going to his lectures, you won't learn anything. Look for another professor if you can. Please steer clear.
If you struggle with teaching yourself material, dont take this class. HW isnt graded & he doesnt provide answers until a week before exam. Tests multiple choice but no credit given for work. End-of-class curve we were promised didnt happen this sem. He curves finals, but your grade likely will still suck. Very unorganized, goes on tangents.
Get ready to teach yourself. Lectures are useless. Recitations are helpful. But, it's still possible to get a good grade in the class if you put the work in.
Dr. Goldsby is a good human, not the best professor. His lectures were difficult to understand, not because the content was hard, but because it was physically difficult to understand him. I used the textbook because it helped me understand the topics I knew he'd test us on, and his lectures were often just rambles and tangents. Get someone else.
Lectures mostly will not talk about chemistry; he talks in circles, & mentions irrelevant information. The homework barely matches what will be on the test. Also, the homework is not graded, your grade only consist of three tests (test 1 and two are 85 points each and the final is worth 200 points) and two "assignments" (worth only 30 points total)
Lectures were not comprehensive enough to take notes and there were only four grades for the whole year. Three of them being exams.
Yeah he's aight trust he's a solid choice
Goldsby is no doubt a good person. He tries to teach us and wants you to learn but he talks about topics as if we already have learned them, we haven't. He kept talking abt how this was his last semester before retirement and it showed. I suffered but got by enough by teaching myself and asking questions here and there. Great guy but hard class.
He arbitrarily decided to give all of his exams in recitation. This obviously brought many problems along with multiple students not receiving their grades. I received my 2nd exam score on the second to last week of school. He also teaches as if you already know the material. If you are good with chem then he's not a bad choice.
Worst professor at FSU. Every test has been graded incorrectly, often times taking 15-20 points off because the exams were keyed incorrectly. He has no lesson plan for lectures so he does not actually cover any material. He does not answer emails on time if at all. It is an easy class, but he has no idea what he is doing and doesn't care to.
Quite honestly, the most disorganized mess of a class I have ever partaken in. Instead of enjoying the fruits of your labor when you study well and do great on exams, you have to deal with the stress and hassle of trying to negotiate your grade which was wrongly graded repeatedly throughout the course. Really disappointing and aggravating.
Unclear grading requirements and lectures which trailed off frequently from the topic. Great guy, but not a great professor.
BORING. YAWNING. SLOPPY. LAZY.
His lecture was pretty useless and doesn't seem to care about students inside or outside class- told us not to email him and that he was retiring soon. Content is pretty easy if you just study textbook, though. Spent more time on long winded examples than he did teaching.
