Haas rocks. He's hilarious and wicked smart. Hes an great prof because you actually retain much of the information, though there's a LOT to know. For CP & the Law, ALL 4 tests were True/False which was tough. He talks fast too, your hand will hurt.

I loved him! Corrections was fun and pretty easy. Just know ALL of your cases and do your readings...his true and false can make or break your grade.

Overall good class, I think if you have a background in criminal justice, it is much easier. But, if you put forth the effort, do all the readings, and go to class, it shouldn't be that difficult. Makes lectures interesting!

Not necessarily an easy A, but as long as you attend class, take decent notes, and read the book, you'll get an A. Both professor and subject material are extremely interesting. Exams are based on lecture and book (and sometimes films--which are also interesting).

haas is my advisor. if he teaches a class, i take it. he is SO fair, he doesnt try to trick you with screwy test answers / questions. he's interesting and fun and makes the class feel involved rather than just like they're sitting there being talked to.

He is one of the more unique profs at UD. Be careful of the mc exams, you will have to work to score well. I would recommend him based on his personality alone. I took him three times, and got three A's just by taking great notes (reading is not always necessary). But miss class and forget it.

Haas is by far one of my fave profs. He's great. If you do the work, you get a good grade. Doesn't try to trick you with his true/false exams.

Haas is probably the funniest professor I have ever had. He is dedicated to his study and talks candidly to students. His class is interesting and the readings aren't bad. I got a 102 on the midterm. Do the readings and go to class and you'll be fine.

I've taken every class Haas teaches, and he is one of the best professors in the Criminal Justice department. He makes his expectations very clear, and the tests are taken directly from the material and graded fairly (and they're multiple choice--but study)!

He is SO funny. Loves to curse and yell at things he thinks are ridiculous. I had no interest in it- i dropped a class and needed credits. He's great; not hard material. By far the best teacher at UD. 450 is a hard class, requires a good deal of work, but is the most intellectually satisfying class i've taken in my four years. CRJU majors should take all classes Haas teaches

I'm not sure if its his teaching methodology or his personality, but it hard to forget what what Haas teaches in class. He is truely a gifted educator, and a great person...Take Haas.

Very unorthodox teaching method and personality (p.s. LOVE his fro), but definitely one of the most knowledgeable people when it comes to the material. Three exams, all true/false. The only disadvantage is he doesn't give a schedule of readings/tests at the beginning of the course, but def. take his class!

Started UD(in the early 80's) with different major, but took his class, and was awed by his passion for the material. He made learning enjoyable, wish all teachers were this cool, then there would be less dropouts. Changed my major to CJ. Yes, his hairdo beats Donald Trump. Deftly worded questions will get you if you don't read or go to class.

He is the single greatest inspiration for my choice to become an attorney. I walked into his Problems of Corrections course and was never the same. Most law school profs have nothing on this guy.

There are very few professors left anywhere that are like Haas. It will be a sad day when he retires from UD. I feel I have learned more from his class than my past 3 years of college. The man recites case law from memory,doesn't even lecture from notes, probably the smartest man I have ever met. Do the readings and go to class and you can't fail.

Dr. Haas is beyond your ordinary professor. His class will keep you at the edge of your seat with an overwhelming abundance of information and ecstasy. Exams are only hard if you lack reason. His lectures and the reading materials assigned are all very relevant, and understanding them is the key to doing well in his classes.

Super liberal, really cares abt subject, fair tests, & funny-maybe not as much as he thinks he is. Clarity lost a point b.c. he EASILY goes on tangents & forgets things (often means the assignment for the day which you really need to know), but hes great, just DO THE READINGS, they're interesting anyway, he doesn't have you read boring stuff

LOVED this class! I am an engineering major looking for an easy breadth. The 3 exams were very straightforward (all multiple choice; noncumulative) & lecture was interesting. As long as you do the readings before the exam and go to class you should get an A pretty easily. Know the supreme court holdings he discusses in class and in the book.

Dr. Haas is awesome! Although this is an intense and high level law class (you study with the same book 2nd year grad students use) he makes boring material interesting.

Ken Haas is the best possible professor for this course ! He's absolutely hilarious, and will brighten up your day with the crazy things that fly out of his mouth. He's a wonderful professor but in order to pass you need to go to class everyday. To get an A, do the readings. You'll regret taking 203 with anyone else besides him; I promise you that!

One of the best teachers I've had at UD hands down. He's lectures never get dull. One of the few classes I actually looked forward to going to every week. YOU HAVE TO DO THE READINGS. If you don't you will most likely fail. I highly recommend taking any of his classes you can.

The first thing I do when classes are posted is search for Haas. He is an intelligent, helpful and entertaining professor. Do the readings, go to class and you'll do well in the class with no problem.

Dr. Haas is seriously the smartest man in the United States. He recites the law and cases from his memory- he doesn't even use notes! The professor doesn't even have to tell you not to text during class, you don't even want to. The material is presented in a fascinating manner.

I plan on taking 450 with him too. If you have the opportunity to take Haas DO IT. The man is a genius. If you go to class and listen to what he tells you you'll get an A.
